Kathic Ski Resorts Battered By Early Snowstorm

Most Kathmanduean ski resorts had no had to close in nearly 5 years after the a storm, named "Andre", swept through the mountains. This time, "Gaétan" was even more unforgiving. In the town of Mauvinne, nearly 7 feet of snow fell over the 3 day period. The Provinces that were most hard-hit were Guionnt and Almeas, with the average in those Provinces being 4.76 feet of snow. The storm was nearly only inside of Kathmandue, with parts of southern Grothbord receiving about 1-1.5 feet of snow. The storm stretched as far south has Beaulieu, the largest city in Northern Kathmandu with a Metro Population of over 4 million. This is also the earliest snow storm to hit Kathmandue, as most hit between December-April.

Aid had been prepared as early as last Wednesday (02/11/16). A various assortment of supplies such as shovels, snowblowers, food, water, etc. was loaded onto the RKAF's C-17's and A400M's. TWA Cargo also sent a 747-8F packed with supplies to BEI. Calling it a "Group effort" between the Army, Marines, and especially Air Force, as well as private and state owned companies. Prime Minister Mélanie Astevau commended those involved in the process as "heroes of our great nation, in a time of need".

The aftermath after Penanian troops pushed the rebels out of the buffer zone.

With the NLF rebels attacking the Penanian buffer zone on a daily basis, the Penanian government, with the advice of military officials, have declared that they are moving into Nanming to defeat the rebels. This comes as over 300 Penanian troops have been killed and another 453 have been injured from the recent assaults from the rebels. With the support of the Penanian Air Force (PAF), Penanian troops have killed a total of over 500 rebels in retaliation. Even as we're speaking the Penanian government is moving deeper into Nanming to defeat the rebels.

With the recent increase in conflict, the Penanian government have announced the founding of the Protectorate of Nanming, which will rule over all places occupied by the Penanian government. This protectorate is supposed to be temporary, and it is expected that the Protectorate of Nanming will rejoin the new Nanming government once the civil war is over. The Penanian government also announced that they're opening a 24 hour hotline with the Greater Eastern Union to cooperate with them in defeating the NLF.

98 years ago, on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, the armistice that was signed to end the bloody Great War entered effect, and the guns fell silent upon the surrender of the Allies. After long years of war, the tide was finally turned towards the Autocratic Alliance, as the final offensive of the war ended with the "iron fist of the Emperor", as the Thracians called it, breaking and routing the Allied armies and breaking their front into two, leaving their countries with nothing else left than to ask for peace. The Battle of the Emperors remained in the pages of history, as the battle which ended years of carnage, with the golden sun of the Thracian Empire soaring high of the Europe. Thrace and its allies won. Although somehow covered by the events of the Second World War, the First World War, remains deeply written in the collective memory of all the countries which took part in it. Millions fought and died in the War To End All Wars. It ended nothing. But the world was changed forever.

The Imperial Government declared this to be a holiday in Thrace, as a day to be spent in the memory of all those who died. Manifestations are being held all across the country, at every memorial ever built in the memory of the war, the ones who fought, and the ones who died in it. The Imperial Armed Forces are organizing military parades in each of Thrace's major cities, with the largest one being held in the Imperial Capital of Veranium, where the Imperial Guards will also march in their commemorative WW1 uniforms. After taking part in the parade in Veranium, His Imperial Majesty is scheduled to leave for the Province of Valentia, where he will witness a commemorative event, for all the men who died fighting on the island. Similar events will be held accross the country, for the military cemeteries of the war, and around the graves of the known veterans, which have all died in the last years.

With these celebrations, the Imperial Government has declared that this day should not be celebrated, but remembered as the end of so many deaths. The people of Thrace stand together with all the peoples of the world which fought in this war.

Of course, various ultranationalist organizations, and the Thracian Fascist Party, are going to held marches in several Thracian cities, celebrating the very victory of the Autocratic Alliance, and the Pax Autocrateia which followed. The marches are going to be supervised by the Imperial Gendarmerie, but neither officials of the Thracian Fascist Party, nor officials of the Imperial Government have given any comments about it.

98 Years After World War 1: What It Means to the Greater Eastern Union

98 years ago from today came the end of the First World War, as the Allies surrendered to the Autocratic Alliance. Millions had died over the years of war, in both Europe and Asia alike, only to end in the victory of the Autocratic Alliance and the beginning of countless conflicts around the world. Due to the magnitude of such war, many called this war 'a war to end all wars' - some words that would become false just twenty years later, as the echoes of war resurfaced in Europe once again. Paradoxically, what many called 'a war to end all wars' became 'a war to begin all wars and conflicts' in the 20th century, some of which last to this day.

The Greater Eastern Union made its move to take part in the First World War during the rule of Premier Zhu Xuan, the second military leader to have ruled the Greater Eastern Union during the Military Government Period. In 1916, when the the Allied Forces were accused of having supporting the Daming Federation and separatist factions in Nanming in exchange of their participation in the First World War, the Zhu Xuan Regime declared war against the Daming Federation and the Allied Forces in April 5th, 1917, resulting in numerous battles along the South Tiandao Sea. It was also during the First World War that the Greater Eastern Union Marine Corps saw their first actions in combat outside the Greater Eastern Union, when they participated in the Battle of Zhongwu in present-day western Nanming.

To commemorate the victory of the First World War, the Government of the Greater Eastern Union has scheduled a military parade in numerous major cities, including Chenhai. The military parade in Chenhai, initiating with Greater Eastern Union Marines in WW1 uniforms, would consist of roughly 16,000 soldiers in total, and would head from the historic Chenhai South Gate to Kowloon National Cemetery, in memory of all veterans that had taken part in World War 1.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced today that a number of Representatives of the Greater Eastern Union, led by Senator Tristan Lien, have been sent to Taizhou, Nanming, to accomplish diplomatic missions on behalf the Government of the Greater Eastern Union. The representatives are to meet General Shen Akulai, the current de facto leader of the Federal Republic, to discuss future cooperation in joint military operations against the Republic of Nanming, as well as the potential future regarding the fate of Nanming.

Amid such talks, the joint offensive against the Nanming Liberation Front and the Republic of Nanming have continued, with numerous skirmishes occurring throughout major waypoints scattered throughout western Nanming. As of now, the Greater Eastern Union Navy has ceased the offensive, ending the attack at its part with a net total of 1,552 missiles fired at various targets throughout the Republic, while the Air Force remains to provide fire support to Federal troops in their offensive against the Republic. The Greater Union Marine Corps, while engaging in deep infiltration warfare against the Nanming Liberation Front, has been partially withdrawn back to the Greater Eastern Union, with currently around 3,500 troops seeing combat action at this moment.

William Scantlebury – Letwinist States – The People's Commissariat for Population Security and War published a press release earlier speaking of the “considerable and necessary modernisation of the People's Defence Forces.”

After the armed forces of the union had participated in joint military drills with its eastern neighbours in Raventsvo, the commanding bodies want to finally bring its equipment to the highest possible standards.

To this end, the High Commissar, Jasinas, announced increased military presence and drills, especially near the souther borders. In addition to that, unmanned and automated defence possibilities “must be exploited to protect [the union's] borders”; this will include unmanned aircraft, automated sensor picket lines and satellite surveillance, as well as the use of “highly efficient, strategic ballistic weaponry”.

Not only the combined forces' equipment and capabilities will be increased however. Although further, more specific news are not currently available, a thorough restructuring of the “Puolustusvoimat” was further hinted at. It is unlikely however that the current conscription or the primary use of light infantry would be subject to change.

Early yesterday morning, the International Botanical Society finished its examination of the flowers native to region surrounding the River Gatito. The president of the IBS, Hugo First, said that the flowers were "like something out of an odd dream that you had that you can't quite remember until you get into bed the next evening."

When asked how Gatito's flowers stack up to the rest of the world's, Mr. First shrugged and said, "well, they're better than Topsail's."

Upon hearing this joyous news, the entire nation broke out into celebration.

Nanming Civil War: Final Offensive into Jinmen Imminent, Amid Guerrilla Warfare

For the past few days, the Federal Defense Forces have launched a major offensive to the southwest, today forming a new front only 25 kilometers east of Jinmen, the capital city of the Republic. The Ministry of Defense today announced that with its most recent offensive throughout the Xinping Region, the Federal Army has achieved "major victories in the gateway towards Jinmen", hinting that the Civil War can potentially come to a temporary close with the defeat of the Republic. The Ministry of Defense also announced that it will cooperate with the Penanian Government in its war against the NLF, stating that the NLF were "ought to be terminated from the nation of Nanming with international cooperation".

Despite the major offensive towards Jinmen, however, the Federal Republic remains far from establishing absolute control throughout Nanming, as the remnants of the Republic and the Nanming Liberation Front (NLF) are showing resistance in numerous zones scattered throughout the northwestern and southern parts of the country. Many former Republic soldiers, while a majority of them re-enlisting to fight for the Republic, have been confirmed to have joined the NLF or formed independent factions, eventually engaging in guerrilla warfare against the Federal Army in key roads and in the countryside. Amid the Federal offensive towards Jinmen, battles are becoming more and more intense throughout both occupied zones and in the front.

Topsailian President Willem van Dijk disputed the Gatitoan Government's claim that their flowers were more beautiful than Topzeil's gorgeous tulips. "There is no way that that's possible," said Van Dijk in a nationally televised speech, "We as a nation have always valued our wonderful flowers and these false statements by the Gatitoan government are exactly that- false. I am confident that there are no flowers in the world prettier than our tulips and I am sure many Topsailians agree with me."

About eight hundred protesters marched outside the Gatitoan Embassy on Monday, holding up pictures of tulips and throwing tulip bulbs at the embassy. Mark van Ruyter, chairman of the Topsailian Botanical Society could not be reached for comment at this time.

In a shocking event reverberating throughout the country, Mallaskan Premier Viktor Kovalev was killed when his personal transport aircraft containing himself and several key staff members (Including the Mallaskan Prime Minister) seemingly exploded over the remote Mallaskan wilds. In an emergency election called several days after the crash investigation Minister of Defense Leonid Voronkov, a self-proclaimed 'Rightist' and militarist has assumed the remainder of Kovalev's term as Premier, as he was third in the chain of command behind the also-dead Prime Minister. As the new Mallaskan Head of State, Voronkov has stated that his first action as Premier will be to increase the strength of the National Police in an effort to fight growing organized crime in Mallaska, as well as stating that the Mallaskan penal system will return to focusing on rehabilitation through hard labor in what some activists describe as 'Gulags', though the Premier-elect states that the new facilities will be humane and safe for rehabilitation purposes.

The former Mallaskan Minister of Defense, also a decorated mechanized officer in the Mallaskan Army, has further stated that he wishes to further open relations to eastern nations, forgoing the isolationist policy Mallaska has followed for some time. He would also do away with the defense cuts proposed by late Premier Kovalev before his death, which had caused great controversy in the Mallaskan military and arms manufacturing sector.

"I wish to establish that Mallaska shall endure as a great industrial power in this world, not to be bound in chains by corruption but instead forged anew with the fires of my regime. My goal is to assert that this nation is a power worth recognizing at all corners of the globe, Mallaska and our brothers in the Confederation. I will not be a weak ruler as Premier Kovalev once was. I will bend to no man, and no nation, but only the will of the Mallaskan people. Amid the Nanming Civil War, international escalations and the recent political movements within the Union to change the nation's political system into a semi-presidential system, Premier Li Zichin has made a Special Statement today in the Capital House, addressing many of such issues, both domestic and international.

"A government, just like an organism, must adapt to new environments and changing times," Premier Li Zichin commenced his statement in regards to the movement to change the nation's political system. "The Parliamentary System, historically, has shown its limits in its political flexibility - especially in turbulent times like now. The proposal for a transition into a semi-presidential system is an idea worth debating; such a change may be needed, and, if the people demand it, such flexible changes shall be made to our Government."

"It is the duty of the Greater Eastern Union to fight for what is right in Nanming," the Premier stated, when he addressed the Nanming situation. "The Greater Eastern Union believes that the freedom - the freedom to be safe from the threats of terrorism and civil war - of the people of Nanming shall be upheld, even in the midst of all the fighting. Even today, our forces are making their push towards the Nanming Liberation Front, to get yet another step closer to the freedom to be safe from the threats of war."

In addition to the Special Statement today, Premier Li Zichin both sent his condolences to the now-deceased former Mallaska Premier Victor Kovalev and expressed anticipation upon Leonid Voronkov's coming of power, referring to the new Mallaskan Premier as "the man who would become the bridge between the Cathay Region and the Northwest Frontier".

Partidul Național-Monarchist
The National Monarchist Party

The National-Monarchist Party, Thrace's largest and most important political party, is expected to maintain its majority in the Imperial Senate and the Imperial Council, without any major changes. One of the oldest political political parties in Thrace, created after WW2 by some the successors of the interwar center-right party Centrum, it remained a small part for most of the initial decades after the 1955 Restoration. The economic crisis of the 1980's however, the poor handling of the situation of the so called Thracian Democratic Republic, and the rise of tensions with Kathmandue however, all which happened under the ruling coalition of the National Liberals, caused an immense jump in popularity for the National Monarchists, which won a huge majority in the Senate, a majority it has kept ever since. Known for its nationalist and somewhat moderate authoritarian policies, and its focus on militarization, increasing the national economy, and adopting a more aggressive stance against the so called Thracian Democratic Republic, the National Monarchist Party has kept its popularity in Thrace unscathedi. The National-Monarchists are promoting moderate revanchist policies, which ask for the removal of the War Guilt Clause in the treaties signed between Thrace and the winning powers at the end of WW2 and greater rights for the Thracian minorities in Thrace's neighbors, but are surprisingly liberal on issues like racial discrimination and pro-LGBT rights.

Despite the recent tensions with the international community, the National Monarchists are expecting to keep around the same percentage of seats in the Senate, which was 36,8% in the last senatorial elections. A coalition created together with the National Peasant's Party, the Conservative Party and some of the minority parties would allow the National Monarchists to keep their control over the Imperial Government, and the recent posts have showed this as the most likely scenario to happen.

The National Liberal Party

The National Liberal Party is Thrace's oldest and second largest political party. Created way back during the short lived Thracian Republic of the Napoleonic Wars, the National Liberals have survived in one form or another up to the present day. Recreated after the end of the Second World War, the National Liberals were the backbone of the Thracian Transition Government, and supported by Emperor Michael, the Liberals were the most popular party in the early decades of the Empire of Thrace, until the economic crisis of the 1980's and other important events caused a sudden drop in their popularity, from which they haven't recovered to the present day, despite a good period they had in the last years. The National Liberals are far more liberal than the National Monarchists on all areas, and are much more pro-West, but that's the very fact for why a large portion of the Thracian population does not like them. Nevertheless, they are expected to remain the largest opposition party in the following elections, and a coalition with the Social Democrats, the Socialists, and the minority parties might even bring them to the government, if the recent tensions with Kathmandue will bring a slight decrease in the votes of the NMP as some expect.

The National Peasants' Party

The National Peasant's Party is the third largest Thracian political party, and the most popular in the rural areas of the country. Initially created in the interwar era, and recreated after 1945, the National Peasants' Party is a moderately conservative party, with some left-wing corporatist views as it supports, for instance, voluntary cooperative farming, remaining staunchly pro-monarchy like most of the Thracian political parties. Ever since 2000, the National Peasant's Party has been in consecutive coalitions with the National Monarchist Party, expect for the 2008-2012 period, when it joined the National Liberals in their opposition. Their popularity is expected to rise because of the reforms taken in the last years by their coalition, which led to several rural issues being improved.

The Fascist Party

The Thracian Fascist Party is one of the smallest main Thracian parties and also one of the youngest, being created after the ban on fascist organizations was raised in 1996. Spotting moderate nationalist and fascist policies, at least in comparison to the National Legionary League, the fascist party that led the Greater Thracian Empire from 1933 to 1945, the Thracian Fascist Party is however still considered to be an ultranationalist and far-right wing party, conservative and revanchist on most issues. The failure of the leading National Monarchists to actually do something about the situation in Thynia or the treaties that were signed at the end of WW2, has increased the popularity of the Thracian Fascist Party dramatically, gaining 4,35% at the last senatorial elections. Its popularity is expected to rise in the context of rising tensions with some of Thrace's neighbors, as the fascists promote a more aggressive foreign policy and a return of Thrace to the status of a great power.

The Social Democratic Party

The Thracian Social Democratic Party is Thrace's fourth largest political party, and the largest historical left wing party. One of the most progressive and pro-West Thracian political parties, the SDP has however been suffering enormously from its very creation by the poor relations between the Empire of Thrace and the so called Thracian Democratic Republic, an issue affecting all left wing parties. The Social Democrats have been at the heart of every major opposition ever since 1996, and are expected to remain the same after these elections, despite a decrease in their popularity due to the rising tensions with Raventsvo and Thynia.

A more extremist wing of the Social Democratic Party which broke off in 2008, the Socialist Party merely gained enough votes to pass the electoral limit in 2012, and is expected to be unable to gain it in these elections, due to the general decrease in popularity the left wing and especially socialism have experienced due to the dislike the Thracians have against them, based upon the poor relations and experiences they have with the TDR and Raventsvo.

One of the oldest Thracian parties, having its roots in the same Thracian Republic as the National Liberals, the Conservatives however are just a small party now. They are expected to maintain their votes over the electoral limit, and to join a coalition with the NMP and the NPP, although a merger with the National Monarchists is taken into consideration.

The most extremist left wing party of Thrace, the Communist Party, although officially not forbidden yet, is going through an immense crisis as its main leaders are under charge for high treason and conspiracy against the state.

The largest minority party, the Democratic Alliance, representing the Kathmanduean minority in Thrace, are expected to have a lower popularity due to the recent tensions with Kathmandue. What they will do is however is the greatest mystery, as the National Monarchists have offered them a spot in the ruling coalition in the case of a NMP victory, while most of the Alliance's members favor entering the opposition with the Social Democrats.

Two Major Kathmanduean Aircraft Manufactures to Merge

The two largest Kathmanduean aircraft manufactures, Renault Systems, S.A and Hecker Aircraft, SA have formed the newly created company Renault-Hecker Aircraft Systems, S.A. There was some protest over the decision, but the government ultimatly approved it as both companies managed to prove that they could bring in more job growth. Already, the company plans to expand it's factory near Moniteau and Auxvalle, and open up new offices in Nouville Valley outside Moniteau. It is expected that there will be 2,500 thousand new jobs by the end of 2023. The company will take over Renault as the Kathmanduean company in Airbus.

Nanming Civil War: The Final Push into Jinmen, Republic Surrenders

Military commanders of the Federal Army announced from Jinmen that the city of Jinmen, formerly the stronghold of the remaining 'original' Republic, has been captured by its forces, with remaining Republic and NLF forces resisting in isolated pockets outside the city borders. They announced that the Government of the Republic of Nanming - the 'original' Republic that was present in Jinmen - had surrendered to the Federal Republic, marking the official end of the month-long civil war.

The offensive into the city of Jinmen began yesterday afternoon, as a combined force of mechanized infantry and armored divisions, coupled with air support, made their final offensive into Republic positions throughout the city. While avoiding to fire at civilian locations, Federal soldiers effectively captured the city against great resistance from the NLF and the Republic, resulting in skirmishes throughout much of the urban area. While the battle continued through the night until dawn, the Jinmen Metropolitan Hall building, previously the temporary headquarters of the 'original' Republic, was laid siege upon by Federal troops in 01:03, November 16th; Republic officials present in the hall, including former Prime Minister Ming Di-Chan, have surrendered to Federal forces, subsequently being under arrest. Battles continued until the dawn of November 16th, as the Federal forces drove out remaining resistance outside the city borders.

In response to the capture of Jinmen, the Government at Taizhou announced this morning that the victory at Jinmen was "the victory of freedom and liberty for the people of Nanming", while asking the people of Nanming and the international community to "cooperate in our attempt to protect the freedom from the fear of terrorism and war" in regards to the remaining NLF resistance in southern Nanming. It also announced that former leaders of the Republic of Nanming, including former Prime Minister Ming Di-Chan, will be put to trial for their actions in the Cabinet.

Following the Siege of Jinmen by the Federal Republic of Nanming, Premier Li Zichin has made an official announcement this morning regarding the supposed end of the civil war, stating that the Federal victory was "a symbol that the freedom from the fear of fascism and terror is protected once again". During his announcement, he went on to state that the Greater Eastern Union "would attempt its best to cooperate with its ally to reestablish a post-war order to the nation as fast as possible", hinting towards the contribution of Tianese forces in the war against the Nanming Liberation Front (NLF).

A day after the Siege of Jinmen, roughly 2,500 Greater Eastern Union Marines remain in Nanming territory, engaging in combat against NLF forces in the south of the nation. The Department of Defense has announced that it has signed a Foreign Military Sales contract with Mammo for the modernization of its air force, namely the procurement of 180 F-26 Black Eagle fighter aircraft, subsidiary munitions and equipment training for the Mammoit Air Force. The military procurement, worth $20 billion, is one of the largest single military sales contract signed in the 21st century, while it is the largest military contract of any form signed between the Greater Eastern Union and Mammo until this day.

According to the deal, the delivery of the F-26 Black Eagle is said to begin next year, with the first batch of 12 fighter aircraft to arrive at Mammo in February 2017. Trained by the Greater Eastern Union Air Force starting next month, Mammoit pilots are to operate the aircraft by the end of June 2017, when the initial operation capability by the Mammoit Air Force is foreseen to be declared.

The $20 billion military sales is likely to strengthen the alliance between the Greater Eastern Union and Mammo, while also being a part of a major cooperation plan between the two nations. The national petroleum company PetroEast has announced today that it has signed a contract that involves the construction and development of offshore oil rigs, oil refineries and accompanying infrastructure in the southwestern coast of Mammo, where an estimated amount of 21 billion barrels, almost 12 billion of which are recoverable, of oil is reserved. Such development of petroleum facilities is one of the largest the company has ever received in the Americas.

"We foresee the development as a major development for the two nations," stated Julius Han, Chairman of PetroEast. "The development of an oil reserve of such size is one of the largest in the Americas, and would give Mammo a considerable trading advantage as a petroleum-exporting nation, while also ensuring a secure source for petroleum for PetroEast and the Greater Eastern Union."

In addition to the construction of petroleum-related facilities, PetroEast has also announced the potential construction of a new city to accommodate workers for the oil refineries and offshore rigs. As a result, Voronkov now maintains a 2/3 majority of support in the National Assembly needed to pass his proposals to increase funding to the Mallaskan Armed Forces.

However, since the 1970s the Mallaskan populace has consecutively elected left-wing Premiers by a sizable majority. The circumstances of Voronkov's appointment has left many citizens questioning his legitimacy as Premier and the circumstances of former Premier Kovalev's death has lead some to speculate that corruption has landed him the office, along with the mysterious and near-instantaneous support of ex-military Representatives in the Assembly. This coupled along with suppressed reports by anonymous whistleblowers in the government that the Voronkov regime has blocked attempts by the National Air Authority to investigate the crash site of Premier Kovalev's aircraft. Instead, reports have surfaced that instead the secretive Special Enforcement Division (OSI) under the Ministry of Security have instead investigated the area silently.

Protests and small riots have since occurred in the Mallaksan capital of Callista, as well as other cities throughout the nation leading to the National Police conducting riot control operations in these areas.

Mammoit Public works department declared another "Go Green" initiative by generating electricity using the sun. The farm is projected to cost roughly 6 billion and will hopefully be able to power a city as large as Arfue. This project is expected to start at the beginning of 2017 and will hopefully be completed early 2019. The Mammoit Monarch Javier Rulma, responded to the construction of this farm, "My hope is that by the time my son takes power we will be successful at being the cleanest country on the planet, and this solar farm is a huge step forward!"

Environmental regulations on the land that this farm will be built on are nonexistent; however, the area is hilly containing grassland type areas. Mammo is also calling for workers to construct the farm and may provide housing in the nearby city of Stockwood.

In a joint announcement, the nations of Kathmandue and Grothbord released a new Fifth Generation fighter, the RL-NGA (Renault-Hecker/Luftbord Next Generation Aircraft). Today, the Department of Defense announced its plans regarding the controversial establishment of Li Shan Military Academy, an institute for young military geniuses to be educated into military leaders of the Greater Eastern Union Defense Forces, with the school scheduled to open in March 2017. Despite raising a long-controversial issue regarding the fundamentals of the nation, the Department of Defense has proclaimed Li Shan Military Academy to be "an efficient social system to find and educate military elites that would become the future of the Greater Eastern Union".

Li Shan Military Academy is said to recruit young military geniuses aged 12 to 14 with the potential of becoming military leaders in the future, while providing military education for 4-6 years prior to their service in the Greater Eastern Union Defense Forces. For the recruiting process to work, starting 2017, all students within the demanded age will be assessed with the National Military Aptitude Test (NMAT), which consists of military theory and hands-on warfare assessments. The top 1% scorers from the NMAT are to be sorted again through further examinations, eventually sorting a total of 200 military geniuses nationwide.

The advent of military elite academies is no first thing for the Greater Eastern Union - in the 1860s, the Shen Lien Military Academy, an institute serving a purpose similar to the present-day Li Shan Academy, was organized under the orders from Premier Zhang Suan. While having been maintained until the end of World War 2, Shen Lien Military Academy, along with its system of educating young military geniuses into future military leaders, was abolished as the Treaty of Bakhan was ratified. However, the academy had found many of the most famed military leaders in Tianese history, including Zhu Yuan and Wu Lien, both of which also became political leaders of the Greater Eastern Union.

In response to such announcement, the Liberal Party and numerous civilian organizations have shown explicit criticism towards the plan, with the Liberal Party calling it "a system that would recreate the notorious military regimes of Zhu Yuan of World War 1 and Wu Lien World War 2" and civic groups giving notice of a mass protest in Chenhai and Bakhan this evening. Other opposition party leaders have also called it "the notorious remains of political and military elitism in the Greater Eastern Union today", demanding the complete reconsideration and possible abolition of the plan. A number of professors at Chenhai National University have claimed that the establishment of such a military academy would "mean the return of military elitism in a democracy, meaning a step backwards from the free democracy many have fought to create".

With the Greater Eastern Union invaded Jinmen and the surrender of the Republic of Nanming to the Federal army, Penania declares that it's intrusion into Nanming will and and officially declares that the war in Nanming is over for Penania. To celebrate this victory, the Prime minister have declared the 19th and 20th of November as public holidays and also sent a congratulatory letter to the GFU over the ending of the Nanming civil war.
