Don't sweat it. Regardless of the various hiatuses taken, we've all put a year's worth of effort into Broken Scepter, and I think that's reflected well in the writing. Based on the volume of positive feedback I received people are pleasantly surprised the three of us have remained committed to the thread for as long as we have without compromising character development, the quality of the posts, or the basic RPing premise. As long as that holds up I couldn't ask for anything more.

I've had nothing but positive feedback about this thread so far and am quite frankly blown away by how long we've managed to keep it going without compromising the quality of the posts or the storyline. I apologize for the delays as well. This year's been ... busy. Busy and interesting for me. I've made a lot of progress career-wise and the amount of time it all took is kind of overwhelming—I'm also rather new to all this. Building a career that is. I had no idea how much time it would just eat up. I've had to neglect NS because of that... and I love NS. It's been a passion and hobby of mine for ten years now.

So, yeah. Definitely going to continue this. Soon hopefully.

This summer is going to be more productive, if I manage to survive July Last busy month before my first serious break, and I intend to get more involved with NS during and after.

Once we get the sub-plots about the Prut Special Economic Zone and the Intexa fact-finding mission complete, I think we can end part 1 of the storyline and jump forward several months to the lead-in to the actual coup attempt.

Page four, year six. This is definitely the longest RP thread I've been a part of, but I see that as a worthy testament to our dedication as writers. It's really incredible!

Hi everyone!

We're looking for some more characters for our RP. We're moving on a faster timeline now as we head towards action. This one character would have origins in your nation, but be a soldier, or air crew in the Uli-Schwyz Regiments (What the USGSC was called prior to 15 years ago) that is part of a training/advisory contract in 1978. RP would be done not posting directly to the thread, but in Google docs jointly with other players, then posted to the thread and collectively credited to all.

We are pretty full up on ground force officers, but there are openings for higher ranked pilots and aircrew.
We've done one post to the thread after the timeline jump, which should give you a good idea on how future posts will look.

This would require some indepth writing. More than the couple lines you might typically see in a II RP. A time commitment to be in the RP for the long haul, as you can see from the IC thread OP we've been at it for a good while now.
But a great opportunity to work on those skills if you're new to the NS RP community.
We'd also want you to join a Discord group for planning.

What do you get out of it? Having fun with other players, of course. But also, a chance to develop backstory for the character which means developing canon for your nation during that era. What national conflicts did they first shed blood before finding their way to a mercenary outfit? What internal conflicts and beliefs motivate your character?

Remember that all the characters are not going to live through this conflict, and in fact, most might not. So we would ask that you remember your characters is very mortal. But this also gives you the opportunity to write your character out with an epic death scene if you need to exit the RP for whatever reason.
