Manticore Class Light Cuiser
URS Ventoris
Republic Captain Kiln Vin
Outer Frontier
Kiln was at the bridge of his ship, the Ventoris had been his favorite command, and he had been at the helm of the vessel for three years now. The Ventoris was a Manticore class, one of the most prestigious commands in the fleet, they are powerful vessels meant to operate seperate of a fleet, bristling with weapons but also highly versatile. At 1.1 km in length she was a large vessel, though by no means the largest of republic vessels.
He had been instructed to expect unusual energy readings in the area, but so far they had found nothing. He frowned and thought of reporting the readings had been false when one of his bridge officers said "captain, we have a anomaly just two kilometers ahead"
He said "on screen, full stop"
The screen showed what hasn't been there just a few moments ago, what appeared to almost be an opening in space. The ship attempted to stop, but started to get pulled in.
"Sir, we are in full reverse, were being dragged in"
"All hands brace, shields to full"
The large cruisers engines worked with all their might to pull the ship back, but they weren't enough, as the ship slipped into the portal. Still intact, the ship finally stopped as the portal closed behind it, leaving a confused and worried Crew
"Report!"
"All systems operating fine, no damage reported"
"What's our position"
"Checking...sir, we are very deep within uncharted space"
"How deep?"
"unkown sir, navigation sensors can't determine where we are"
Kiln nodded and said "hold position, I want to make sure no more anomalies pop up, I'd hate to be sent out any farther from home than we already have"
"Affirmative sir"
He frowned and then said "any nearby worlds?"
"None we've detected yet sir"
"Keep looking, maybe we can find somewhere to stop and ask directions"
"I'll keep my eyes peeled sir"
"In the meantime send out a distress signal, let's see if anyone in the area picks up, hopefully they are friendly"
"Affirmative sir, starting transmission on all frequencies"
