Expansion of Western Bases

Months ago a deal was struck with the United Vallerain Republic for bases in the there nation in exchange for favored trading status. And recently that deal was revisited. In exchange for warships and training, the Timocratic Republic is now massively expanding those bases. Full details are yet to be announced, but it is confirmed that the port facilities will be able to support a full task force and supply one as well, as well as serve a Foward Operating Base for the area and a jumping off point for future contracts. Trade, of course, will not be impaired or interfered with in any way the Federal Government assures people.

In our mission to bring and end to communist tyranny in the region, our Reich, our Wehrmacht was able to bring about the demise of the Unified Eastern Star Soviets, supported by a multitude of nations across the region they were the biggest threat to freedom and peace in Dienstad. It was only clear that our Wehrmacht would answer the call to bring the Bolshevist beast to her knees. That was in 2025 and forward six years into the future, our Wehrmacht and our Reich have fought the communist tyrants to their bitter end, despite what their allies committed to stopping our just destruction of the communist menace that plagued the central areas of the region. Going as far as to unleash nuclear warheads on their own cities as a last act of defiance against our armies.

The Heereswaffenamt has announced along side the Oberkommando des Wehrmacht for the launch of the Panzerkampfwagen Panther-100 Super Heavy Tank, as a fourth generation main battle tank it has all the potential to be the next dominating Super Heavy Tank in which the last dominating tank of it's class was the Panzerkampfwagen Aus B. Morrigan Super Heavy Tank which was developed in the time-frame of the War of Golden Succession. Being 10.27 meters in length and weighing 150 tonnes, the Panther-100 Super Heavy Tank succeeds in showing it's obvious size. However the Panther-100 is more so in firepower with a 255mm ETC main gun with a secondary consisting of a 50mm chain gun and a 7.92mm Mauser MG. The fire controls have been upgraded from previous designs with a more dedicated targeting system for the main gun, as well as the autoloader which was also upgraded with the final design phase of the Panther-100. The tank also boasts a active protection system that has been in development since 2026 and was officially launched with the Panzer X Main Battle Tank in 2020. The armor consists of a sloped reactive armor composite titanium ceramic plating known as S-RACT. It was developed especially for the new generation of tanks that the Heereswaffenamt would create for the Ordenite Heeres and was to be capable of withstanding and defeating a multitude of dangers faced by modern tanks of today. The Panther-100 Super Heavy Battle Tank has been in production however for over 6 months and has produced a first batch of 10,000 units and will be put into service in a limited role as mostly the answer in a conventional war with one of the Reich's enemies, the Panther-100 would be grouped into Heavy Panzer Battalions and would be attached to all armored formations when manned by the Ordenite Army in combat.

The city of Santa Merda is in mourning today after two Federal Agents were killed in an attack by the well known terrorist organization The Scales of Justice. While their names have been withheld out of respect for their family's privacy it is known they were a Senior Agent and a Special Agent for the Bureau of Secret Affairs. The Bureau has confirmed that the two agents were investigating an unrelated case when the Scales attacked. National Vice Director Nicholas Martin went on record saying:

“Yesterday, two Federal Agents working for the Bureau of Secret Actions were killed in action, on Federal Soil, protecting our Federation from those who wish to do its harm. Their sacrifice in the defense of our Federation will not go unanswered.

To the so called, Scales of Justice, I can only say that you are not heroes. Thanks to your actions, far more criminals and terrorists, much like yourselves, will be allowed to walk free tonight.

The Bureau will be working closely with the Department of National Investigations and Department of Pharmacy and Controlled Substances to bring these terrorists to justice.”

Yesterday, National Police responded to an explosion in a Warehouse district outside of Santa Merda, in the Colombia Province of El Sur. When they arrived, they found numerous murdered private security guards and a collapsed building, still on fire. Firefighters arrived on the scene and put out the flames after a few hours. The investigation is still underway.

A new video popped up on the internet and it goes as such.
A picture of an of old fashion scale replaced whatever was on previously.
A voice spoke over the image.
"Standby for an important announcement."

The picture of the scales was replaced with a room. The room was plain and white with only a small podium in the center. On the back wall was the same image of the scales painted in gold. To the left and right of the scales is a single man each one heavily armed and dressed in tactical gear. Both of them were wearing balaclavas. Behind the podium was an another dressed this time like a judge with robes and gavel, even wearing the old style powder wig. He also wore a mask but this one was model on the face of Lady Justice.

The man behind the podium began to speak
"I come to speak to you once more, people of Greater Dienstad, for it is time to carry out justice again. This time the Zaragosa Cartel refused to head our warnings so we acted. One of our Weights attacked a major money clearinghouse and destroyed it and all the cash therein and slaughtered all the corrupt scum they sent against us. We are not done nor even close. Heed this warning if you care for you pathetic existence at all run and hide. Cease your criminal activity or we will come and find you and end you. This we swear by all we hold dear. IBC new update;

The Royal navy showed pictures today of flyovers of Ordenite Reich ships and shipping in the central region areas the royal navy is conducting on contacting and watching and reporting of all Ordenite Reich ships in the region but mainly the central regional areas. Concern has been growing since out of nowhere Reich ships started harassing Lamoni fishing vessels in the central region.

A naval spoken person stated that this action such as this will not be tolerated in central GD, and if more actions are reported other actions will be enforced, those actions will not be discussed here at this time. The royal navy seems to be working with other nations in the central regional area and outside to provide safe shipping and open sea lanes for all. As many remember this was what caused the last great war in the central region between mainly the crown and Stevid.

She tells World Microcredit Foundation analyst Lax Harry why now is as good a time as ever to go for growth........

A joint statement from the Capita Metropolitan Police (Met Police) and the Nation Crime Bureau (NCB) states that the huge criminal enquiry into the torpedo attack against the cruise liner RMS Princess Jane, known as Operation MARIGOLD, has seen ‘major developments’ in past month and that ‘real and tangible leads’ exist. It comes after several low-key public disclosures of information relating to the on going investigation into the incident that occurred in October 2014 and left 240 people dead.

Both the Met Police and NCB have been working closely with the government, Pardalote Line, international criminal and government agencies and the Stevidian security services on the major inquiry into the attack, responsibility for which was claimed by Imbrinium citing reportedly genuine intelligence reports and cargo manifests for the civilian liner making it a legitimate target – arguments that the Stevidian government as flatly denounced. The investigation into the alleged proof provided by Imbrinium and how said documents, real or otherwise, could have been obtained by enemy forces, was set up as a major enquiry by the government in December 2014.

Nearly four years later the investigating bodies have jointly stated that the investigation has reached its zenith and released a statement explaining the progress of the enquiry and that leads exist:

“In the past four years since His Majesty’s Government ordered this criminal enquiry, we have provided the public and our international partners unprecedented access to our work. The means and methods used have been carefully scrutinised by cross-parliamentary committees, foreign agencies belonging to neutral and aligned nation-states, and of course, own examinations in line with Stevidian and Imperial statute law. We can confirm that all possible lines of enquiry have been identified and we are now in the final stages of the investigation in terms of identifying the perpetrators. Regardless of the findings of this investigation, we can assure the public and any and all interested parties that the investigation and methodology behind investigating the lines of enquiry will be fully disclosed in what will be known as the Jane Report.”

This is an important and bold statement, and could have damaging repercussions on the regional international community depending on the results of Operation MARIGOLD. From what has been said it is clear the Metropolitan Police and NCB are keen to impress on the openness and integrity of the investigation to alleviate fears of evidence cover up. So far this has held up to scrutiny. But the overall investigation direction and specific lines of enquiry have been kept secret under the Official Secret Act. However there may have been a change of policy given that a series of public disclosures and press releases have the undertones that investigation is due for a big revelation.

The language used in this latest statement is indicative of such direction, and such phases like “All interested parties” and “Perpetrators” point to that the evidence provided by Imbrinium as being false or doctored – at the very least it points to possibly being wrong in some way shape or form.

Whilst it is unlikely that criminal charges will be brought against specific individuals if they are from a foreign country, the political ramifications could be substantial. However this is all merely conjecture at this time and the government has refused to been drawn into discussing actions it could take regarding speculation that a foreign power is responsible for falsifying documents leading to the deaths of innocents.

What We Know So Far...

What are the Possible Outcomes?

The government has refused to be drawn into speculative acts whilst the investigation is on going. This is unsurprising due to original stipulations in the peace
treaty with Imbrinium stating that the Holy Empire would provisionally accept the evidence unless disproved by the publishing of the Jane Report by Operation MARIGOLD. However this has not stopped the government’s continued denial of the evidence provided by Imbrinium and that an alternative explanation must exist.

The government may be bound to silence by treaty, but this hasn’t stopped speculation rising or backbencher MPs offering their thoughts against party advice. One minister suggested “sanctions against foreign powers, political bodies or foreign entities”, should a foreign power be found culpable – a sentiment shared by member Conroy Party ministers. Others called for tougher actions such as “Kick out the spies who stole documents to be doctored in the first place”, alluding to diplomatic staff expulsions.

The hawkish nature of the Conroy Party has not shone through on this issue however, with seldom few ministers numbering only 10 advocating gunboat diplomacy to enforce sanctions on perpetrators. Opposition voices have said that should the investigation show Stevidian culpability then it would make PM Conroy’s position untenable and that a resignation should follow. More outspoken voices not only decry the Prime Minister but also are calling for the heads of the security services and all ministers involved in this alleged cover up.

Defence expert and professor of Greater Dienstad Geo-Political Studies at the University of Milton, Prof. Stephen Honeyman provided IBCN a more well rounded explanation of the Holy Empire’s options:

“We won’t go to war, that much is obvious. I hope we don’t! But no, the government would be in a difficult position regardless of the verdict in the Jane Report. But assuming a foreign power is found guilty of stealing official Imperial documents, forging them,

doctoring them, providing them as justification to the international community for the attack on a civilian cruise liner, then the government has several options:

“They could impose economic sanctions and personal sanctions against foreign entities to make it more difficult for business to be conducted with Imperial territories and thereby limit access to sensitive information.
“They could expel ‘diplomats’ to, again, further limit access to information through human and signals intelligence – but this will bring equal reprisals. A more hawkish and bold move would be to close embassies.
“They could take it to the World Assembly and garner international condemnation outside of Greater Dienstad, although this will be harder to achieve.

“Another option would be a sustained international and public smear campaign. Continued interference with a foreign power’s diplomatic dealings and domestic issues in an effort to frustrate the business of their government. This option is quite crude and crass, likely to cause several diplomatic crises but would show Stevidian resolve quite forcefully.”

IBCN has again asked the PM’s Office for comment with no reply. IBCN also asked the Ministry of Defence and the Home Office for comment, also with no replies.

A recent civil war has broken out in the nation of Nueva Philippines a violet conflict between the communist faction (DPRP) lead by Benigno Aquino III son of Ninoy Aquino and Nationalist Philippines lead by President Marc Cuerpo. Declaring it's predicted neutrality in the matter, The United Island Foreign Relations Office (UNIFRO) has announced it has closed its embassy for the safety of the ambassador and staff assigned to operate within the nation until the end of conflicts within the nation. Segorio Quezon, Officer for Foreign Relations out of the Philippine nation responded to Officer VinoCacao's closure request, assuring the embassy would be well protected by nationalist troops however Officer VinoCacao and Duchess Villa felt a withdrawal would be needed.

"AHSCA is constitutionally bound to not fight wars unless attacked. That said our Embassies abroad pose a unique situation as they are usually considered apart of our territory. An attack on our embassy could be a justification of war by us, a deliberate attack to draw us into the conflict for one side or another it's not a chance we're willing to take." Officer VinoCacao has also stated she's unsure if the Philippine islands will reopen an embassy at the end of the war. "Unfortunately these can be considered very personal and whoever is the victor may or may not want us or any other nation who came in under the old administration. That said I'm not predicting a complete expulsion, I'd think the victor will want legitimacy that comes with international relations."

Currently, Nueva Philippines doesn't have an Embassy office with AHSCA but AHSCA will still be willing to accept them if they formally apply for an office. In the meantime, Ambassador Marajha and staff have returned to the UIS.

Ebonaervon, Itailia(Herald) — In one of the more unanticipated news coming out of the Imperial capital, the Department of the Military held an large scale official press conference early this morning just after sunrise to announce what it was prematurely labeling a landmark policy chance. The conference was widely attended by most news firms of some reputation across the capital despite the short notice, having only been given a few hours notice, and the announcement ended up being worth it. Earlier last week, the Senate authorized an immediate funding allotment of over 1.2 trillion lira's towards the Department of the Military's annual budget for this fiscal year, something which was seen as unusual seeing as the annual budget debates will begin later this fall and the DoM had given no indication of some urgent need neccistating such a large amount of funding, however the new program they announced at this conference explains it entirely.

An official spokesmen for the Department, one Commander Maximus Livius Balbillus, outlined an arching, broad plan of the formation of a massive new program directly under the oversight of the Secretary of the Military called the Signum Ignis Initiative or SII. The SII's main objective statement is to conduct a comprehensive, detailed review of the entire equipment, gear and vehicles currently being employed within the Imperial Legion, Navy, Air Force and other military branches of the Empire and upon finishing the review, make assessments of the item's efficiency and recommend replacements if necessary. The SII will receive the full amount of the emergency funds granted by the Senate through the IFA it authorized last week, and Commander Balbillus said that the DoM may request for additional funding during budget discussions should the list of items and units needing replacement swells larger then anticipated. According to initial predictions, the DoM anticipates having to replace approximately 25% of current gear, equipment and vehicles in use, an alarming figure which covers more then a million units, millions more individually and would mark the largest equipment replacement program ever undertaken by the Empire. The DoM's explanation and basis for that figure comes from what it calls the "less then exemplary purchasing habits and policies within the last two decades", as well as the large number of high intensity conflicts it has been involved in within the last decade. The DoM's disdain for the purchasing policies has long been a grudge they have publicly, and privately, aired as they waged a three year political battle in the preceding decade to get full control of its purchases and expenditures from the Treasury, where those responsibilities previously resided in a special sub office. The DoM won the battle four years ago, but says all the equipment and habits employed in the past have left them with an over abundance in some areas, critical shortages in others, and aging vehicles in some units. They further broke down their initial replacement forecast figure, stating that they believe a majority of the equipment needing replacement would be the warships within the Imperial Navy, something the Naval Admirals Board will assuredly agree with as its a point they have been arguing before the Senate for quite some time. The Navy has consistently in the last decade since Archon Caius' faction came into power received the "sloppy seconds" of military funding, with the Legion getting the bulk of it and even the Imperial Air Force pulling ahead in recent years in terms of annual monetary funding. The Navy has sought replacements for a number of high ticket items, such as a new class to replace the venerable but heavily used Ark Royal class aircraft carriers, and replacements for classes that suffered heavy losses in recent conflicts, such as the Firefly frigates, the three various destroyer classes operated by the Navy, the Mognami cruisers and the submarine fleet. A majority of the DoM's initial forecast for replacements covers those items, and more, with a minor coverage of Legion and Air Force equipment though that could change once the official review has been completed.

The SII itself is going to be directed by Legatus Drusus Atronius Elerius, a highly decorated Legion legate who has serviced honorably in more then five campaigns and has spent 27 years with the Legion. Legatus Elerius will oversee the program and be assisted by a panel of three officers from the Navy, Legion and Air Force who will then use what's anticipated to be a pool of soldiers numbering in the thousands to conduct the review; the process is set to begin in a week according to the Department's official release.

In an age of video games, it comes as quite a surprise to watch the nation's youth playing a card game. It is a throwback to the days when kids collected packs of baseball cards for the bubble gum that came with them, it seems that everyone is playing Nations: The Gathering.

Every weekend afternoon, many millions (potentially even billions) of children are gathering at their local game or hobby stores, and purchasing the latest cards to come out in the game. A derivative of a popular computer game, the game is similar in concept to other card games in which individual card values and strategy are important. Given that the cards are created in the Free Republic by a company that also manufactures sports cards, it is not removed at all. Parallel imports of real cards are legal, but selling fakes can infringe copyright, trademark and fair trading laws.

At least fifteen major shipments of fake trading cards have already been seized by the Lamonian National Police, but even they acknowledge that they cannot catch them all. Fakes can find their way to markets, discount retailers and online auctions, without the average seller or player realizing that they are fakes, potentially costing them millions of Rushannas. But even when products are genuine, importers can illegally rip consumers off. Each pack contains a random selection of cards of varying rarity and therefore value. Some sellers have illegally identified which cards are more valuable in each shipment, and kept them for themselves, hoping to score lots of money for themselves by selling them on internet auction sites, often for vastly inflated prices.

It is therefore advised that customers check their cards against the official list of cards on the manufacturers website, which features images of each official card, which can help to determine if the cards that you have are genuine. As always, reports of fraud can be made to the Lamonian National Police.

Te Whanganui a Tara, 7 April — Fürstenbeck Schiffswerfte & Maschinenfabrik and Reich Werft Ardenfontein have started construction of the Taeletean Maritime Force’s second Commonwealth-class aircraft carrier. Originally scheduled to be completed in four years, it will be assigned to support Taeletean colonial operation in Vishpanyar. The carrier will be the thirteenth Taeletean ship to be constructed in the continent of Yohannes and to be fitted out in the Aristocratic Trade Republic.

To kickoff the first stage of construction, Reich Werft Ardenfontein workers began by putting the specialised high strength shipbuilding grade S alloy steel in one of its slab casting machines. “This will be our seventeenth production schedule week. Te Whanganui a Tara, 11 April — Astuana’s government has signed an agreement worth 21.4 billion Quertz russling (two hundred million NationStates Dollars or Universal Standard Dollars) with VMK AG to procure tanks from a consortium of Yohannesian and San-Silvacian arms manufacturing and engineering companies, internal sources involved during its negotiation revealed yesterday.

Responding to media inquiry this morning, officials of the Astuanan state department have confirmed that President McHale has signed the agreement to buy ten AY2-1L and T2009A4 main battle tanks, with Halstenmetall, Maschinenfabrik Halsten, Alexandros Babcock und Dampfkessel Werke, and Vickers Heavy Industries acting as primary contractors. Production is expected to start by next month, with the last tank included under the agreement to be delivered by July next year.

The five AY2-1L to be delivered will be equipped with domestically produced diesel engine and transmission system, the company website said. “They [the companies] have guaranteed that propulsion and transmission will run without problems for thirteen days’ worth of operation, which was the requirement set by Astuana’s military”, Griffin adds.

The King Tiger and San-Silvacian both feature advanced combat networking and fire control systems which can identify their target from nine kilometres ahead using their infrared thermographic camera. King Tiger is armed with a 140/L50 electro-thermal chemical smoothbore gun, whilst San-Silvacian is armed with a 120/L55 conventional propellant smoothbore gun, both designed by Halstenmetall AG, originally inspired by the Federal Republic of Germany’s Rheinmetall designs.

Both tanks can travel at speeds of up to seventy kilometres per hour on road surfaces, though It is not advised to go past speeds over fifty due to elevated risk of injuries and wear of parts.

Boonstra Sacked
Military Intelligence to Clean House

In a sudden move, President Ephriam Shrdlu has replaced Mike Boonstra as Chief of the National Intelligence Operations, the umbrella agency for all domestic and foreign espionage, counter-espionage, and anti-terrorism departments across the civilian government. Replacing Boonstra on Monday will be Lieutenant-General Jan Weissman, the Commander Adjutant-General for the Joint Military Intelligence Service (JMIS). The move was announced after today’s cabinet meeting, where Mr. Boonstra was absent.

General Weissman comes to Office of National Intelligence Operations (ONIO) after more than 12 years as head of JMIS judicial operation. A graduate of The Military Intelligence Staff College and decorated veteran of both covert and analytical operations, he has a reputation as a relentless prosecutor built on vigorous pursuit of espionage and sabotage cases across all branches of the military, a role often putting him at odds with civilian intelligence agencies. His role in the investigation and prosecution of the Kedzie Communication cases in 2011 was credited in the abolishment of the Office Foreign Counterintelligence Operations, and the creation of the Department of External Security after the trail of leaked documents led to slaver state infiltration in the Eitoan financial and utility industries. Mr. Boonstra survived that crisis intact, but the discovery of infiltration by slaver state intelligence services further fed the long-standing friction between military and domestic intelligence. The ONIO under Boonstra has not been able to shake suspicions of lingering infiltration of his agencies, and early in his administration President Shrdlu tasked Attorney General Dan Venkempen with a widespread investigation of foreign espionage in the agency.

Although no indictments have been forthcoming from the Attorney General’s office, or from local prosecutors regarding foreign espionage in ONIO, there have been reports of investigators from the Attorney General’s office conducting high level meetings in several civil intelligence agencies; The Department of Public Utilities Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence, The National Police Supervision Board’s Intelligence Branch, The Agriculture Department’s Office Inspector General, the Department of Transportation’s Port Harbor and Terminal Police, the Treasury’s Narcotics and Terrorism Intelligence Unit, and Foreign Affair’s Information Security Service. Originally seen as mollification of concerns by the Communist and Socialist members of the Ghastak (upper house), the Attorney General’s investigation seems to have gained traction among Shrdlu’s Free Democrats, leading to a likely decision by President Shrdlu to move quickly toward rooting out any perceived or actual espionage by or favoritism to slaver states in Eitoan intelligence.

It is expected that General Weissman will clean house at the upper and middle levels of ONIO, bringing with him staff from JMIS as replacements for those under suspicion. Among those most likely to be impacted are Clandestine Services, Near Continental Operations, and Signals Intelligence, three components of the civilian agency that have come under the heaviest criticism by their military counterparts. In addition, operatives of the agency under diplomatic cover in Rhodesialund and Jesheoda may be summoned home, as these embassies have been cited by some in JMIS and the press as being compromised by Ralkovian and Ordenite intelligence. It is believed that Weissman will seek a major overhaul of ONIO’s basic training program along the lines of the JMIS.

The move may also be viewed as an acceleration of Eitoan policy toward closer cooperation with Relica, initiated with the recent trade agreement. Reform of Eitoan intelligence would pave the way for closer military integration between the two northwestern states. Eitoan foreign policy has in the past been ambivalent toward slaver initiatives overseas, but public opinion has been favorable to a stronger policy against slaver powers in the immediate vicinity. It is known that President Shrdlu views regional cooperation favorably, as well as tilting more toward The Golden Throne than his predecessor. President Shrdlu’s reform of the intelligence community could be taken as a preliminary step toward greater involvement in regional collective security, in addition to the obvious domestic concerns.

Earlier this week, the People's Federal Army announced that it will begin replacing its aging Humvee fleet with a modern alternative. Although there were many contenders, including the LY83 Fox and LA-30 Magister, it was eventually determined that the Pseudonaja Protected Mobility Vehicle by VMK Defense was the best solution.

At first glance it is over a meter longer than its predecessor and over twice the weight, and the vendor does not specify towing or cargo capacity. However, due to its extremely well handling on rough terrain and passenger capacity it was brought in for testing. It's greatest feature was the standard STANAG 4569/LVL 2 protection offered by the vehicle, with options to increase to LVL 4. Towing capacity did meet Federal requirements for light artillery such as the MIV-45 Lightweight Towed Howitzer and the M130 Cazcabel Heavy infantry Mortar.

Other competitors such as the Lyran LY83 Fox were outright rejected due to their limited passenger capacity, while others such as the LA-30 Magister were serious contenders. The contract was almost split between the LA-30 and the Pseudonaja Protected Mobility Vehicle until towing results showed no significant difference. Although the LA-30 did have a larger passenger capacity, that was deemed not enough to warrant a second light utility vehicle in service.

Domestic Production Rights will soon be acquired with an initial purchase of 1,000 from VMK directly. The initial purchase will all include the LVL 4 armor upgrades and is estimated to have an upfront cost of 1.725 Billion USD.

Current operations have been limited due to range and lack of bases in the area but now with these bases a more productive counter-slavery operation plus able to keep a better eye on the axis of evil in the west and far west region where until now has had almost free reign of the upper far west and western regional areas.

The axis of evil and those that would due harm to those in the western reaches of the region better heed the warning and take notice your days are numbered there will be a stable west and far west. The days of the wild west are over there will be rule of law in the west and far west by force is necessary.

Avalon, Relica - Announcement of a mutual assistance pact with the Republic of Eitoan is expected within the coming days. Details of the agreement have yet to surface however the pact itself has been expected for some time, falling in line with the prior cooperation between Eitoan and Relica. So far there has been no official comment from any governmental representative despite continued attempts by various media outlets. The speculation regarding possible Relican involvement in combating what the government has already described as "human rights violations" is at a fever pitch with the announcement that several units of the Homeland Reserve Guard have been recalled to active duty; yet officials remain silent on what if any action could possible be forthcoming. What is known for certain is that Prime Minister Francis has taken a far more active role in inserting Relican interests into the regional landscape; a trend which is expected to continue.

MORRDUN.- Rumours have been flying round royal circles recently after Vicereine Lothwyn II was seen accompanied by Prince Augusto of Imbrinium.

It is know that Her Excellency did enjoy a liaison with the heir to the Imbrinium throne, but it was believed to have ended due to the conflicts that have been waged over the island of Mordent. It is understood that the pair has had little in the way of contact until the Prince and his father, the King of Imbrinium, attended recent celebrations for the tenth year of Vicereine Lothwyn's reign. Since then the pair have been seen together in public on numerous occasions, prompting questions whether the pair have resumed their previous liaison or are just friends.

If they are once again in a relationship experts argue that Prince Augusto would be put in an awkward position; as heir to the Imbrinium Crown he would have to give up the crown if he wants to marry the Vicereine, due to the fact that she's the monarch of another country and is considered minor royalty within Greater Dienstad. If the Prince does pass on the crown, then he would be in a position to influence Commonwealth policy and politics into being more friendly to Imbrinium interests. Given how turbulent regional relations have been in recent years it is difficult to gauge the reactions of the Commonwealth's allies such as Mokastana and the Holy Empire of Stevid if the Commonwealth adopts a more favorable stance towards the Kingdom of Imbrinium.
