OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF ANDERIA

Over the last week and a half, Field Marshal Karlo Pupisz's highly secretive and brief trial has come to a close. Today, the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court has announced that Karlo has been found guilty of all charges, including Treason, High Treason, Obstruction of Justice, Malfeasance in office, Incitement to commit Extortion, Kidnapping, and Murder. Pupisz remained calm and quiet throughout the trial, primarily speaking out against the right of the Anderian government to try him, and declaring that no action he took in the name of saving Anderia could ever be called criminal due to the ends of such action. Many of the lower ranking I.S.B. members are yet to be tried, several of those who have faced trial so far have either been granted full amnesty or will be executed in the coming weeks. Despite the court sentencing Pupisz being death by a 1 vote majority, I have requested that he is instead granted 10 years under house arrest for his courageous and lofty goals for the security of the Anderian nation. I applaud his goals, however his methods are nothing save treacherous. He has been stripped of all ranks and awards, save the sole exception of Hero of All Anderias. The heart of the military coup, attempting to restore order, discipline, and utilitarian life, was an admirable goal, and is a goal we share. But to lead the people, to facilitate the things they require to be an effective, regimented society, you must be of the people. The divisive, hedonistic, individualistic values that threatened the nation cannot be forced out from above, but rather must be the willingly rejected in the natural progression of civilized nations. We came to power through a coup just like they did, but our influence is rooted in the democratic popular support of the people, as signified by the referendum to swear me in once again as full president of this great republic.

We shall defend our brotherhood and unity! We shall break the chains!

Off the coast of Kerthenia, a large, multinational fleet gathers. Among it are large surface ships, smaller screening ships, and a small amount of nuclear submarines, as well as many logistics vessels. The fleet is composed of ships from Kerthenia, Qusmos, Avellum, Dolphiland, Nacija Slavia, Klathu and Eusonia, with their respective flags emblazoned on the hulls as millions of tons of metal push through the waves. Across all of the vessels, two traits was shared: the spangled blue flags flying from their hulls and a red diamond emblazoned on a white field waving in the wind.

At 5:50 AM, a joint task force of CDN vessels set sail for Hokubuhon. These vessels include the venerable ANS Farreus, USS Endurance, USCGC Aesclepius, RQN Freya, and numerous screening vessels. Rest assured, this force is one of peace, intended to provide aid to the Hokubuhoni people who may require evacuation from their homeland. As such, passage through the Sekap Strait has already been cleared. I reiterate, these ships are armed only for defense of the innocent and hold no threat to those who do not engage them first.

Prime Minister Krenos announces presidential run.

With the death of President Marshall Uteng months ago and the dissolution of the position of President Marshall, a position the late president held since 1973, the senate has voted to create a new head of state position aptly named "President of Mon Faira". After the vote to create this position finished the run for the first democratically elected in Mon Fairan history has begun. The first man to announce a run was Prime Minister Krenos, who is approaching the end of his time in office as Prime Minister, he is very popular with both the people and the lawmakers in the senate for the Nuclear Energy Initiative, and for how quickly the terrorist group called Lorbic Imperial Front was handled. More candidates are expected to announce their run for office soon.

150th anniversary of the 9th Battle of Sekap Bay

In celebration of the 150th anniversary of the 9th battle of Sekap Bay where the Mon Fairan Royal Navy crushed an Ostrokhani fleet in the several day skirmish the ironclad Couronne, the fleets flagship, has made a voyage from Vrita to Kranas. This is the first time in 117 years that the ironclad had left the harbor in Vrita and gone on the open seas. During the voyage the Couronne and its escort ship, the frigate Ladny, had a friendly encounter with the Kerthenian destroyer Aphinion. During the encounter the captain of the Couronne gave a tour to the Kerthenian captain and had a ceremonial pistol exchange. During the actual ceremony at Kranas the Couronne was flying full colors and did a ceremonial 30 gun salute to honor those who died in the battle. The ship will be returning to its home port on July 18th.

New frontier air base 08:00 AM
As the sun rose over the air base the low drone of aircraft engine started up. The first, second and third parachute divisions were lifted off the ground and into the sky. There objective secure towns and strategic locations in to the two unoccupied provinces two the east of Darlowo. On board the first plane was Squad Sargent Karl Copperfield. Karl tuned to his squad "You know the orders we take the ground we hold it if they push us we push back" he looked over his men "We have the element of surprise the but that wont last long once were down so we strike hard and fast"

Field Marshal Erik Todd picked up the phone the second rang "Yes!... Excellent!". He call to the radio operator next to him give the order "tiefer stein is a go". He ran out of tent and jumped into his Fox armoured car parked ready and waiting "GO!" he yelled as he slipped in through the hatch in the top. The gar roared off and joined up with the column now moving out of the base at speed. the KAC roared off into the desert.

Karl opened his parachute as close as he dared. He hit the ground with a thump and pulled the cord to detached the cute. The rest of his team were shortly begin him as was there entrenching equipment. The terrain they were in consisted of a narrow pass between two sher cliffs they rapidly set up a redoubt and several layers of defences. One hour later binocular reflections were spotted.

The operation was halfway through so far it had gone without a hitch with town after town being secured and capture by the advancing klathuian forces. Todd looked over the camp within a day they would be at point XXX the final link in the chain.

The attacks had been on and off all day gradually taking their toll on Karl's squad. From 35 men he was reduced to 25 and one of there anti tank guns was put out of action but they held on tight and when the allied tanks rolled up behind them they knew it was not in vain. Operation tiefer stein had been successful.

BARKADIAN PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

The Barkadian Air Force is a proud symbol of our nation. Hundreds upon hundreds of Anderian planes sit on airfields, reflecting their great technology and our close alliance between us. But with the purchase of an Anderian carrier, and the realization that we cannot rely only on Anderian aircraft has required us to begin producing our own indigenous designs. The FiR-20, a 4th generation multirole fighter designed in 2000, has begun being produced again in moderate quantities. Originally designed to combat Kolonian and Slavian air forces, it has been rediscovered to have a fast takeoff and landing. The plane has been heavily considered for use on our in construction carrier, giving it a new area to serve and prove itself in. We expect the service life for this to last a long time, before being phased out and put in reserves. We are also willing to license this to close allies such as Zhioubin and Anderia, and weaker nations around the world. We have great optimism with this aircraft, and we hope it can be one of the pinnacles of Barkadian engineering in the near future.

Freya is moving at 30 knots, nearly flank speed. The hospital beds are clean and ready, with rooms neatly arranged and prepared for use. At the helm, a radio transmission arrives, addressed to the entire task force.
“Slow course to 20 knots, effective immediately. At new speed, estimated time of arrival is 1350, 5/11/18.”
Freya promptly slowed down as the helmsman throttled the engines down. The rest of the fleet would soon follow suit.

Southern Hokbujin Coast, 5/11/18
Freya sails closer to the coast, shadowed by Audacity. Apprehensive crew check over one last time, ready to receive the wounded. Her escort cautiously follows at a short distance, with her sonar arrays deployed and crew intently listening. On both of the vessels, the crew are anxious and afraid of the consequences of any incidents. The rest of the day will certainly be busy.

Karenie Train Depot 1, 2200, May 1st, 2018

The night had been quiet. The 4 guards defending the depot sat huddled together, laughing while playing a game of cards. They failed to notice the man in a balaclava on a nearby roof. Equipped with CR-28, he selected a target. Years of hunting had honed his aim and accelerated his speed. With the target in sight, he fired. The suppressor did its work, and the now three men sat dumbfounded as to what killed his friend. With a ching his rifle threw out the first bullet and he chambered the next. With his fine aim, there were two, then one, then simply 4 dead bodies in the depot. The gunman pulled out his radio. “All clear, no trouble, alarm was not raised.” Men began to come out of the abandoned buildings around the depot, taking whatever they could carry, preparing to carry the equipment to a stockpile point.

S2-2 Military Base, 0605, May 9th, 2018

Blake Peters drove his group of men to the front gate of S2-2. The man at the booth asked for his papers. He handed over his faked reassignment orders and his faked military IDs. The guard checked them over, and then handed them back. The commandeered truck wasn’t out of place; the Doxian Army has been using whatever it could get its hands on. They walked out of the truck, fully loaded in accurate military uniform, stolen from the raid 8 days ago. Blake led his group towards the “Sparrow,” one of the ground attack airships set to be used for parade in a few days. It was fueled, but missing ammo for its armament and it’s bombs. They walked on unopposed, some thinking they were simply inspectors preparing for the parade. The squad of eight people quickly made their way to the bridge, making sure no others were onboard. With the squad unopposed, they worked to close all entryways and raise the ladders. The walkie-talkies crackled, as the squad confirmed readiness. Finally, Blake, the only one with any mild idea of how to fly the airship, detached the tethers and the airship began to rise.

S2-2 Command building, 0620, May 9th, 2018

Commander Maxwell sat in his chair, sipping coffee. It looked like it would be another slow Friday. A soldier rushed up to him. “Sir, it would appear that the Sparrow has undocked and is flying to the northeast.” “What the... hail that ship!” They walked over to the comms station, and told a comms officer the situation. They opened channels. “CASG-3, what are you doing? You do not have clearance to leave! Return to port now!” Blake Peters sat back in his chair, and replied calmly, “You can’t boss me around! I am my own CO now! And as my first act as CO of this ship, I rename it to the 'Revolutionary Spirit,' a much better name than the dull Sparrow, no?” Blake continued to gloat over the comms. Maxwell muted their mic. “Aren’t the parade speed governors still installed?” The soldier thought for a second, and replied, “Think so. If so, then they’ll be slow as all hell.” “Cut the link, and fax high command. Instruct the troops not to shoot.”

S1-1 Breifing Room, 0800, May 10th, 2018

Captain Andrew addressed the crowd of impatient paratroopers in front of him. "Welcome, sirs. Yesterday, the 'Sparrow,' one of our airships, was stolen. This may sound absurd, but the CWRM is of the type to perform this foolish attack. However, due to budget constraints for building a new airship and the loss of pride from destroying one of our own national symbols, we have decided against destroying it. We have instead enlisted the help of you. Due to the poor piloting skill of the militants, the ship is flying far slower and lower than its maximum. So, you will be traveling in the 'Hawk,' in an attempt to board the 'Sparrow.' You will be equipped with special wingsuits to reach the ship. However, if you miss the ship, you will be equipped with parachutes to return safely to the ground. For those who do land, you will be tasked with securing the airship. You will rappel down to the walkways, where you will disable the engines without damaging them extensively. You will then open the docking tunnel and hold the position until the 'Hawk' arrives with more support and will deploy more troops to capture the ship. Good luck sirs, you will need it."

"Hawk" starboard walkway, 1200, May 11th, 2018

The Sparrow was within sight. Henry Derson prepared to jump, with his wingsuit prepared, and his oxygen mask on. It was a meager amount of air, but it should sustain him for long enough. Over his comms, he heard, "Are you prepared for jump, soldiers?" There was a chorus of ayes as the entirety of the troops replied. Henry was the first on his side to jump, but he could see others preparing. He heard the sound of fighters streaking past the Sparrow as a distraction from the jump, hopefully concealing their insertion. The wingsuits were finicky at best, and he saw several men lose control or stall, while others managed to wrestle control of them and were on target. The air breezed past his body as he flew closer to the slow-moving airship. After what felt like forever, he finally flopped on top of the airship, with the canvas giving way under his feet. He muttered to himself "I'm beginning to regret my decision to join the airborne." He waited for other soldiers to land. After several minutes, he took count. Roughly 11 of the 60 deployed managed to land themselves, more than he was expecting. He opened up his comms channel. "Good work sirs. You six, take the port side. You five, come with me, and we'll take the starboard. We will disable the engines on my mark, and then meet back at the docking tunnel." He grabbed his rappel cord, and tied it to one of the mounts on top of the ship. He slid down first, then the others, one after another. 4 of the men took an engine, and walked down the precarious walkway to the engines. He heard a scream over the comm as a strong gust of wind knocked a man off one of the walkways, but he quickly regained his composure and deployed his parachute. Henry stayed to guard, as the others in the group reached the engines. They opened the engine maintenance covers, and prepared to disable them. Henry reopened the comms channel. "Are you in position, squads?" "Port side is in position." "Starboard side is in position." "Alright, disable on my mark. Ready, set, mark." All at once, the engines sputtered and died. The soldiers walked back, and they entered the airlock.

Blake was on edge. An airship had been tailing them since the morning, and the fighter flyby had put him on edge. The end of the engines' hum was the final straw. With the death of the engines and the lack of skilled engineers in his team, they would never make it to Mon Faira. He grabbed the intercom. "Sirs, with the loss of the engines, I have come to the decision to scuttle this ship. Retrieve the emergency parachutes, and meet me in the mess to help plant charges. I want us out of this ship in 20 minutes." He picked up the backpack that he had kept with him the whole time, and walked out.

Docking tunnel entrance, 1207

The two squads had met. Henry asked first, "Well, we've got two options. Radio command and hope they can speed up with the dock, or we could take the fight to them." One of the soldiers spoke up, "Man, docking procedures take far too long, and that's if both ships are working under ideal conditions. They'll blow those charges far before the procedure is done, and they'll just bring down the Hawk too. I say we take em on. Can't be better than us troopers, no?" The others nodded in agreement. "Alright, looks like we're going for it. Ready your weapons, and let's get to it." After several minutes of navigating the halls, they reached the mess. They saw the militants inside, with their rifles slung across their backs, as one instructed the rest. Henry signaled, and they sprung out from the walls into the entryway. "Hands up!" Instinctively, they put them up, knowing they were ambushed. The commanding one slowly raised his, and as the soldiers lowered their rifles, he quickly flipped a table on its side, and the militants ducked behind it. Both sides began to fire, the clashing sounds of weapons new and old echoing throughout the halls. The soldiers ducked back. Distant footsteps indicated to them that one of them had escaped. A soldier cooked a stun grenade, and threw it in, blasting right above the militants' impromptu cover. The soldiers rushed in, pinning their weapons on the 4 stunned militants. "Drop your weapons." They complied, and a rifle butt to the head knocked them out cold.

Emergency exit, 1220

Blake Peters had failed. His men were dead or captured, and the ship was intact. He could at least make it out alive, and that was all that mattered. Eventually, the workers' revolution would come to this authoritarian land, and the people would be free once again. He burst open the emergency hatch, and jumped out of the ship, onto the fields below.
Meanwhile, Henry Derson walked on to the bridge, hailing the Hawk. "Hawk, this is Henry Derson, we have secured the Sparrow. We will be releasing the docking tunnel shortly." "We receive you Sparrow, making preparations for docking. Also, weren't you supposed to wait for us?" "Long story, my friend. I'll tell you when we're docked."

M.F.N. Aylmer 12:28 AM 5/12/18. Sekap Sea, near Hokubujin.

Rear Admiral Kublanov looked out off the bridge of the Aylmer with a pair of binoculars at the massive CDN fleet that was around 21 nautical miles north. The CDN flotilla was already at the south coast of Hokubujin, which is much faster then Naval Command predicted . His superiors told him that it was to rescue Hokubujinese refuges from the fighting, but there was a great many combat vessels. Enough to challenge almost the entire Mon Fairan fleet. The CDN even managed to muster up a super carrier and a battleship. The Rear Admiral sure did hope the CDN fleet stuck to their intentions.

Kublanov picked up the communications transmitter, and set for a direct comms link with the whole MFN fleet, minus the submerged and patrolling S-287-2 "Fleet, set speed to 15 knots, lets keep us out of their perimeter. Once we reach 14 nautical miles outside of the perimeter set speed to 0 knots and stop. Norak and Kasholin will sail begin an active patrol around the CDN perimeter with a minimum distance of 3 Nautical Miles from the edge. No ships are permitted to fire on any CDN, Hokubujines or NMC vessels or to enter the CDN perimeter."

Responses from the Ladny, Norak, and Kasholin rang out. All responded with a "Yes Sir" or something similar. The S-287-2 was dark, on Kublanovs orders. It will not be monitoring the CDN fleet, but rather NMC naval movements and reporting them back to Kublanov directly.

2:41 PM, 5/12/18. Sekap Sea, off the coast of Hokubujin

The small M.F.N. fleet has dropped its speed to 0 knots, and slowly drifting to a stop 16 Nautical Miles outside of the CDN perimeter. The Norak and Kasholin broke off and began to make a slow circle of the perimeter several nautical miles before the Aylmer and Ladny came to a stop. The 2 vessels began to open up with their sensor packages on the CDN fleet, monitoring them and their intake of refugees. The location of the S-287-2 is unknown the Kublanov at this time and is probably east of here near the NMC and the MFN North Perimeter.

Greetings.

Two hours ago, at 2200 hours, Serrian flight 4146 inbound from Haast's airport (HAA/VHAA) in Sellen disappeared off of the secondary radar, with the transponder seemingly disabled. By 2220, Serrian controllers at Vellina Center realized that SA4146 had missed their routine check-in. By 2235, investigators from the Ministry of Civil Transportation and Trade Safety (MCTTS) reported to their stations and began investigative work. At this time, 4 P.300 fighters were scrambled and launched airborne to conduct in the search, as well as some H.10 helicopters. The Serrian Naval Defense Force's Civil Safety and Defense Guard has also allocated their two Erenia class corvettes to the search entirely. Primary radar reports the aircraft turning north to a bearing of 354 before vanishing 18 nautical miles from the edge of Serria's radar coverage. The equipment on SA4146 was a Serrian developed R.7 medium range airliner. We have no reason to believe this act was a malicious attack against civilians or pilot-suicide, but they have not been ruled out. MCTTS has no definite conclusions, as the situation is still evolving. The Serrian government has already contacted the neighboring Coast Guard's (and their equivalents), and are doing everything in our power to locate the missing aircraft. We are requesting all families of the passengers and crew of the flight to provide anything they may know. Anything can help, even if you do not think it is useful. With more information to piece together, the more likely we are to identify and hopefully find a happy resolution to the situation. To the international community, we request your full cooperation and assistance in the location of the airliner. Any help is greatly appreciated by the Serrian government, people, and as well as the multinational families of the crew and passengers of SA4146. And to you, O Lord, we ask for your assistance in these dark times for our nation. Guide us, help us, and lead us to peace.

MIlitary and civilian aerospace company Verrani S.p.A., one of the leaders of the large Serrian stake in the global industry, announced the public unveiling of the VespaJet 44 to be on the 25th of May. Stock prices have been rising in VRN since December, when the development of such an aircraft was teased at an international civil aviation airshow in New Hartford, Kerthenia. The company claims that they have customers lined up to buy, something which is good for the Serrian aviation industry.

The Serrian Ministry of Trade's Procurement Branch has recently approved a weapons sale of the new anti-aircraft and anti-ballistic missile capable AMLIS block, which was catered towards developed nations needing advanced air defense needs. Numerous nations have reached out in interest in the program. Not much else is known about the highly classified platform, but its maker, Verrani Difesa, claims it will profit. The global markets seem to agree as well.

Hospitaller Provisional Republic of the Serrian Order of Saint Silischo Announcement

Greetings.

Yesterday, we witnessed the 5th General Election within the Hospitaller Government. It was truly a grand and beautiful occasion. There were parties, parades, festivals in the streets, and a true feeling of being who they want to be. The Hospitaller Government, and the volunteers from all around the globe that came here to make the world a better place through actions and words, not only the latter. The Administration here receives new volunteers willing to perform civil duties, from police work to ambulance driving, to waste management, there are people from all walks of life and all different nations working. What it means to be a member of a developed world shows, as we care for others that are in worse off situations. With the milestone 5th General Election coming to a close, and with the results being posted today at noon, it is a new era for this region in the Ostreich. Voter turnout has increased along with confidence in the Volunteer Administration, leading to a record 71% turnout (of eligible voters). This compares directly to the 1st Election's 42% turnout, and to 4th's 61% turnout. The remarkable turnout has been linked to younger believers in democracy in the Ostreich becoming old enough to vote, and as well as increased education in the importance of voting and making a difference. This election is also the first in the Hospitaller Government where all the candidates are local, as they have all been given the training to fulfill their public life. Next year, the plan is to have locals train the politicians. The region is on a road to development, but it would be impossible without the passion from the locals in this area, who have been a great gift to the volunteers helping them. Without their support, none of this would have been possible. Their dedication to making their region a better place has to lead us here, and we plan to continue for years to come. The Lord has truly blessed this nation with the will to improve their communities.

The Serrian Order and the Hospitaller Government in the Ostreich Region would like to formally thank the United Kolonia Republic for providing over one-hundred M113 Armored Personnel Carrier vehicles, which has been instrumental to providing proper security from increasing outside threats of a proxy war on the peninsula. A vast portion of these vehicles have been donated for use in the Ostreich, and they are being allocated towards the Knight's police operations here, the local police, and the local Civil Defense Militia under the regional Administration. The local population and volunteers were especially happy with this show of friendship, as a recent surge in social media use (due to development of internet capabilities in the region last July) were directed at Kolonian President Michal Kerman. The Kolonian administration has not yet commented, but the feeling of thanks seems mutual.

His health has been visibly deteriorating over the last years, and so has the lies- i mean greatness of his speeches. He has mentioned his hypothetical retirement on a handful of recent occasions, and according to credible Herulic insides, he arranged a closed-door meeting with high ranking people in the regime on this topic. But, who would he pick as his successor, and what will it mean for us in Kerthenia?

It really could be anyone, from his best friend to the guy that cleans his dirty sheets, he is crazy after all, but some of the more reasonable candidates are: The ruthless general; Sanselle Kerman, or the bureaucratic propaganda parrot; Owens Kerman. Let's evaluate what having either of these men in power will mean for Heruland:
Owens Kerman is The Leaders best friend, and even more fanatical than him. These two guys go way back to when they were committing political violence in the streets and overthrew the stable kingdom. Oh yes, those sure were the days. Other than being buddies with the 'Führer', he has been doing some diplomatic work on his own, and I think his results speak for themselves. Did you know Owens Kerman was responsible for the First Iblanian War? That's right, after Heruland decided it wanted some better-looking borders, peace talks were quickly held, where he apparently demanded all of Iblania to be ceded, instead of trying to find a peaceful solution. Truly a reasonable man, I am sure you all will agree. Other than that, he was the guy that woo'd every single nation Heruland is currently aligned to, Sellen, Kracsis, Doxia, even little Keitel, so he already has all of the connections.
Sanselle Kerman is the highest ranking general in the Herulic military and commonly steps on even the highest ranking Menian generals. This guy is the popular choice, as he is quite the star amongst the frail Herulic men and women. He has been in charge of almost every military action Heruland has committed since the Great War, so he's a pretty bad dude, but not as bad as you might think, 'cause he is actually not a Nazi! He has on many occasions gotten into apparently pretty heated arguments with The 'Führer' about his beliefs and has publicly spoken about his wish for a republic, or monarchy. Well, it could be better of course. He could support an open democracy, and equal rights for all people, but I guess you can't win 'em all. If Sanselle is to become the next dictator, the regime would probably have sealed its popular support forever, but he'd have to be pulled around by fascist advisors, just in case he gets any ideas about icky freedoms.

article covers the latest and most important news from this past week, including the price of tea, the CDN kerbalitarian operations in
Hokuhubon, and other top stories from both within Dolfikland and around the globe.

MILITARY
CDN KERBALITARIAN TASK FORCE DEPLOYS TO HOKUHUBON

On May 9th, a joint CDN task force, consisting of ships from Kerthenia, Qusmos, Avellum, Dolfikland, Nacija Slavia, Klathu and
Eusonia, departed Kerthenian waters, and, yesterday arrived in Hokuhuboni waters, delivering much needed aid to the Hoku people and
escorting and in some cases even transporting refugees fleeing from the current situation in Hokuhubon. Ships present include the battleship
ANS Farreus, the supercarriers USS Vigilant and HMS Nelson, and the nuclear powered cruiser HMS Munroe.

When interviewed by DNN a Royal Navy admiral stated: "It's a daunting task, but it is our duty to the people of Hokuhubon to protect them
and guide them to safety from the dangers threatening their nation in these dangerous times, and together, the free nations of the world shall
accomplish this task, and show to the world that we are ready and willing to protect the innocent citizens of the world from the dangers
that threaten them."

The task force is composed of 68 ships, one of the largest forces assembled by the CDN in recent times, and aims to be present in
Hokuhubon until the current Kerbalitarian crisis is resolved.

INTERNATIONAL
KARLO PUPISZ FOUND GUILTY IN TRIAL

On May 8th, Anderian Field Marshal Karlo Pupisz, former head of the I.S.B, was found guilty by the Anderian Supreme Court of
Treason, High Treason, Obstruction of Justice, Malfeasance in office, Jaywalking, and Incitement to commit Extortion, Kidnapping, and
Murder. Although the court has sentenced him to death, Anderian President Zergi Zakarof, who was recently restored as full president of
the Anderian Republic, has requested that he is instead put under 10 years house arrest, whether he will be as merciful with the lower
ranking I.S.B. members, many of which still await trial, is yet to be seen.

Karlo has been stripped of all military ranks and all awards, save for the title of Hero of All Anderias. Despite his criminal actions,
the Anderian President publically praised his goals of "Order, Discipline, and utilitarian life", merely taking issue with the means with which
Marshal Pupisz attempted to reach said goals.

SPACE
DNSA LAUNCHES TEST SATELLITE

On May 5th, the Transiting Exoplanet Surveillance Telescope was launched by DNSA on an OLS Heavy booster. The primary mission objective
for TEST is to survey the brightest stars near Kerbin for transiting exoplanets over a two-year period, during which is expected to find over
10,000 exoplanets.

The TEST project will use an array of wide-field cameras to perform a survey of 85% of the sky. With TEST, it will be possible to study the
mass, size, density, and orbit of a large cohort of small planets, including a sample of rocky planets in the habitable zones of their host stars.
TEST will provide prime targets for further characterization by various other ground and space based deep space telescopes. While previous
sky surveys with ground-based telescopes have mainly detected giant exoplanets, TEST will examine a large number of small planets around
the nearest stars in the sky. TEST will record the nearest and brightest main sequence stars hosting transiting exoplanets, which are the most
favorable targets for detailed investigations.

ECONOMY
PRICE OF TEA RECOVERING

Following Hurricane Bismarck back in February, extensive damage was done to tea planations located in Muskovo by the storm,
causing tea prices to rise and for tea to be in shortage throughout Dolphiland, this was rather unpopular amongst the Dolphik populace, even
causing riots in some locations, however, with Muskovo having mostly recovered from the storm, an economic spokesperson for the Dolphik
government recently announced that the price of tea was almost at it's pre-Hurricane levels, meaning the common Dolphik citizen can once
again enjoy a fine cup of tea at the prices they have previously been accustomed to.

ANS FARREUS SAILS THE OCEAN BLUE ONCE MORE.

The oldest vessel in the Avellian navy is currently part of the combined CDN humanitarian fleet delivering aid to the war torn country of Hokobuhon currently under attack by the forces of Heruland, Sellen, and Kracsis. The prestigious waship left the historic Vesuna dockyards where she had been moored up as a museum ship for over forty years to much fanfare, spectators lining the shore in hopes of catching a glimpse of the venerable battleship as she undertook her first voyage since the extensive modernisation and refit process and was joined by an escort of two Hurricane Class frigates, the Cyclone and the Stratos. The one and a half billion Avel refit to completely overhaul her systems including turbines, weapons, electronics and countermeasures was not without its controversy, critics of the scheme stated that the Farreus was "far too valuable as a museum ship and as a symbol of Avellum's proud maritime history to be sent into a combat scenario", while others were far more supportive of the refit, retired Admiral Toni Artemio being quoted as saying "The tactical capability of a battleship is not to be underestimated even in today's naval engagements. While the expense of constructing a new battleship from nothing today could perhaps be better spent on a large aircraft carrier, a vessel like the Farreus represents a unique blend of firepower, utility and survivability in one vessel that most other modern warships simply cannot match."

THE RETURN OF THE AIRSHIP?

Airships were once a far more common sight before the time of practical long range fixed wing aircraft. These vehicles, absent from most nation's skies may be making a comeback. Several private companies have expressed interest in the latest generation of hybrid airship technology developed and manufactured by the Serrian aerospace company "Verrani", which combine the advantages of lifting body aircraft, lighter than air technology and most curiously, hovercraft, enabling the vehicle to set down on even water. Hybrid airships represent many advantages over traditional fixed wing cargo craft and helicopters, namely their great efficiency, minimal environmental impact, long flight time, reduced difficulty of maintenance, and ability to land almost anywhere. As per the time of writing, a total of two of these airships have been ordered by "Blua Ĉielo Airfreight" with the intention of delivering heavy cargo such as tractors and mining equipment to remote areas where it would otherwise be problematic and expensive to transport, with the hopes to purchase more in the future should these new vehicles prove effective in their designated roles.

Seen as something of a surprise hit given the usual more niche, indie and art house nature of Avellian cinema with only a few select titles breaking into the mainstream, Future's End starring an all Avellian cast set in the year of 2047 gives a dystopian view of the near future in the city of Matello and has seemingly struck a chord with both casual viewers and critics alike, a "Ryan Wallace" stating in an online review; "Future's End is a disturbing look at what the future may hold for the world and our species, with a plot line that asks deep questions about transhumanism, corporations growing more powerful than nation states, and artificial intelligence while delivering pulse pounding action mixed with deep intrigue that delves deep into this deep world that the writers have painstakingly crafted and the actors so masterfully play within. The Meridan Treaty

Overview:
On the 15th of May, 2018, Representatives of six nations came together in Kortica to participate in the Historic Signing of the Meridan Treaty. In these turbulent times, the treaty calls for member states to stand for peace, prosperity and economic success throughout all of Kerbin. It shall not serve as a means to propagate any ideology, or expand the influence of its member states, but instead shall serve as an economic, technological, and defensive union between its members. This Treaty’s documentation is intended to be as simple and candid as possible in order to make the Treaty’s policies and intentions as clear as possible.

Trade and Economics:
Part of the purpose of the Meridan Treaty is to create a free trade environment to grow and integrate its member nations’ economies. Tariffs on imports from non-treaty members are set to minimum 2% for all items, and are forbidden in trade between treaty members. Member states are encouraged to trade with one another, and to invest in each other’s economies for mutual success and growth. A free trade bloc shall be created and maintained, to perpetuate our successes into the future.

Migration:
An open borders policy shall be a commitment to nations bound by the treaty. All nations with the exception of the Federal Republic of the Ostreich are required to abide by this, and it is encouraged to allow free exchange of people and ideas to simplify trade, and to link economics into a stronger singular unit.
Nations may control the migration of permanent residents to their own nation, but may not deny entry of citizens of other Meridian nations staying for less than three weeks unless other circumstances make this not possible, in which cases will be dealt with individually. Travellers from the FRO are subject to further border regulation due to the current circumstances of the Ostreich.

Technology:
The Meridian Treaty shall be an excellent medium for the exchange of technologies between nations. The exchange of technology is not necessitated, but is encouraged for the mutual strengthening and aid of all Meridian nations. Nations have freedom to decide which technologies ought to be shared with the other nations in the Treaty, but again, it is highly encouraged that nations should share their technological secrets with one another. Economical, military, and aeronautic technologies ought to be traded freely for everyone’s benefit.

Warfare:
A co-operative defence arrangement shall be established that shall protect all nations in the alliance. All nations part of the Meridian treaty are required to come to the defense of other nations in the Treaty after a vote to determine whether or not the subject conflict is really a defensive war. It must be made clear that the Meridian treaty is a defensive pact, to ensure the security of its member nations; it does not specifically encourage offensive operations in order to propagate an ideology, or it’s own influence. Restated, this is a defensive pact, and if a nation calls for help, the rest of the Treaty must come to their aid if it is certain that they did not start the war out of their own greed or aggression.

Treaty Amendments:
The Meridian Treaty is possible to amend and change to better adapt to changing circumstances with a majority vote of all participating member nations.

1st amendment: until the Federal Republic of Ostreich can be stabilized, it is exempt from the open border policy.

Closing Notes:
The Meridian Treaty is intended to be an organization to support economic growth, security, and enhance scientific achievement throughout all of its member nations. It encourages free trade and economic benefit for all of its constituents. It is not intended to spread a specific ideology throughout the world, or to spread its influence through force. It is, however, a defensive pact, providing additional deterrence and security to all nations in the pact. In a world such as this, sanity must prevail. We certainly hope it will.

“My comments do not represent the CDN as a body; however, they do reflect the feelings of my administration regarding the formation of the Meridian Treaty. It’s endearing and important to see nations across the globe come together to form an alliance, and I hope that this alliance will lead to greater prosperity for all nations involved, and more. And to those nations who have left the CDN: we congratulate you on your self-determination, although we regret the decrease in unity towards democracy across our great world.
Regarding the Meridian Treaty, though, its purpose was the same as that of the CDN, and its stated purpose is again the same. Though the CDN was willing to accept those nations left-of-centre and right-of-centre alike, the end result was a group of capitalist nations. There is nothing wrong with that, however, I and this great nation as a whole, warn the fledgling Meridian Treaty of the perceived issues with the CDN. Overall, I suspect that the Meridian Treaty will develop into another alliance of capitalism; its security gains in the North may lead to a rise in tensions regarding Barkadia. OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF ANDERIA

I would like to record this announcement today in regards to a new happening in the north. Earlier today, a new treaty organization was formed, name for the Meridan Sea. The lofty goals of the organization are not dissimilar from the founding principles of the Council of Democratic Nations. Unfortunately, it is my belief that the same problems the CDN created will not be triumphed over by this new alliance, but will be permeated and perhaps even intensified by it. Barkadia has been for some time a nation surrounded by ideologically and strategically opposed nations, and this has fostered resentment and anger in the population, and the creation of this new alliance with the blatant exclusion of the Barkadians will only lead to further tensions in the north. Anderia condemns the creation of this new alliance on the grounds that the practical consequences of its creation will be without a doubt further military and diplomatic confrontations. As a result of this turn of events, we reiterate our support for the Barkadian nation, and we will continue to defend our ally from capitalist threat and exploitation.

We shall defend our brotherhood and unity! We shall break the chains!

BARKADIAN EMERGENCY ANNOUNCEMENT

With the formation of the CDN, one of our truest political nightmares arose. We were surrounded by unfriendly capitalist nations backed by the strongest imperialist war machine to ever exist. The situation has barely improved, with Kolonia leaving but still remaining friendly to the alliance. And now, again, we are in a similar situation. Kolonia and Slavia, our worst enemies along with a few other capitalist powers, have banded together. They use terms like "peace, free trade, and economic benefit" to mask their true intentions. It takes but any man to realize the geopolitical consequences that will be inflicted on Barkadia. It is very obvious that a united alliance surrounding our borders, composed mainly with our enemies, is to be fully against us. The capabilities of not just Slavia or Kolonia, but multiple regional powers across the world would be more than enough to take us out. In spite of the threat, we shine brighter than ever in the north. Our torch is fueled by the true gasoline of our nation, our defiant and free peoples. This threat is seen to us not as a warning, but as encouragement. We must continue to expand our defensive capabilities. Our revolution cannot be unguarded for a second, and neither can any other across Kerbin. We do not care of the responses of other nations to this action, especially those who have done the same themselves. There must be a global understanding of our position. As of tonight, we are entering full mobilization, and conversion of many factories producing unnecessary goods will begin producing weapons and vehicles for the war effort. In an emergency meeting in the council, in a 720-280 vote for, conscription has now been enacted nationwide in Barkadia. Ages 19-25 of males and females are eligible for the draft, and applying is mandatory. This will bring the military to numbers near or at a million, and massively increase our defense. The budget, although large as is, will be rounded out to 90 billion, in order to increase the effectiveness of our army. Gun laws have been relaxed as well, in order for people to obtain better arms legally and cheaply. We can only hope for a peaceful future. This is all for now.

THE FRUITS OF WAR

The Menian soldiers giggled, obvious signs of mania tinging the sound of savage joy. The Hokubijin village burned all around them, victim of an incendiary artillery barrage. "H-hahah! Look at 'em run!" one screamed across open comms, before being cursed at to be silent...

...Moving through the ruins of the Hokubijin school, TFC Crinitz spots a moving form. Whispering "contact" to his squad-mates, he moves forward, worn combat boots grinding against glass and dust. "M-mister..." the small moving form croaks out, barely above a whisper.
The Seventh Army soldier grins.
"M-mister, please..."
The child was missing a leg, half of his face a burnt gory ruin. He was trapped under a desk.
"Death visits you child, accept his embrace with glee..."
Moments after the TFC utters this, a loud shot rings out, and the child struggled no more...

..."General, the 7th Army's advance is simply astounding. Reports have filtered back that they hit a village just inside the Hokubijin border this morning, and encountered heavy resistance by partisan fighters. Ultimately after hours of fighting the ground forces resorted to using incendiary artillery to remove the obstacle in front of them. Reports suggest it was a complete success, with the enemy having been given an unspecified amount of time to evacuate civilians..."

Michal stepped out of the building's entrance, holding onto the hand of his wife. Outside the hall, a crowd had gathered, cheering at the President for his decision to sign the Meridan Treaty. Cheers of support cried the loudest, and many cameramen waited on the sidelines to get a better view of the President.

His Daughter, Dominika, left the building next, her phone in hand. She had one earbud in, listening to a video that had gone viral about the crisis in the Ostreich. Many cheered at her as she walked down the steps, causing her to look up for a moment.

The Secret Service scanned the crowd for a potential threat. In the mass of people, they didn't see a man pushing through to the barrier in front of the building. He was cheering with the rest of the people around him, one hand deep inside his jacket pocket.

He got to the edge as the President went towards his side of the barricade, shaking hands with people beside him. The Secret Service saw it first, noticing the suspicious hand and immediately began racing towards the potential threat.

The man locked eyes with the President for a split second as he drew out the handgun and pulled the trigger.

The gun waved wildly into the air, its recoil saving many near the President from its deadly bullets. The President was too close.

4 9x19mm bullets ripped into the President, followed by an off course bullet hitting his wife next to him, and two Secret Service agents rushing to his aid. The man let go of the trigger before pulling it again, but before he could line up another shot he was grabbed by the man next to him and pulled down, the last five shots in the magazine missing their target, two of them striking the President's daughter instead.

Screams were breaking out as the crowd began to run, police with SMGs moving in through the crowd to reach the man desperately trying to reload his gun to shoot at the President who was now laying on the ground.

Before he could cock the pistol, a women in raced forwards, revolver in hand, and began shooting the man on the ground. She shot 7 times, each at point blank range, the bullets shredding through their target.

The President looked up at the twilight sky above him, the stars just starting to glisten through. He took a gasping breath, the colors bursting out as the sky lit up one last time.

This is an EMERGENCY message from the Government of Kolonia. Please stand by.

At 8:32 PM today, whilst walking through a crowd of supporters after discussing the signature of the Meridan Treaty, President Michal Androv, First Lady Karlinka, their daughter Dominika, and two Secret Service members were gunned down by an assailant using a Pret 14 Automatic handgun. The President was hit four times, his daughter twice, and all others once. The Gunman was suppressed by members of the crowd around him, and before reloading he was shot by a member of the crowd. The President was rushed to the Janoš Memorial hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. His daughter Dominika died three hours into surgery to remove the bullets and their fragments. Both deaths are attributed to Blood Loss.
The Government has enacted the line of presidential succession, and Vice President Petr Maslik has been appointed the President of Kolonia. The Kolonian Armed Forces remain on heightened alert after this incident, and the government urges all civilians to remain calm and prevent panic.
All public services will be on stand by as a precaution, and the Stocks and Banks will be closed.
President Michal served our country, and those responsible for this heinous act will be brought to justice and will pay for their crimes.

As I’m sure you’ve read in domestic and international news outlets, a Serrian airliner has disappeared. This airliner held 100 souls aboard, each of them likely innocent and regardless deserving of life. This Monday, we dispatched a small search group of maritime survey aircraft and helicopters to the Archipelago so that they could assist in the search. While internal procedures are presently classified due to fears of malicious interference, we’re doing all we can to find these people. In the meantime,if you make any progress, please notify the Ministry of Civil Transportation and Trade Safety of Serria or Qusmosi agencies who will relay the information. Thank you for your time, and I wish the best for the families of those onboard.”

She steps off the podium and away from the crowd as they sit, pensive.

East of Sableopoli, Qusmos, 5/16/18
4 towers sloping in and then back out, made of reinforced concrete in a tan gray, blending in with the desert. Lead and steel formed into a silvery dome. Steam floating out of one tower, then another, until all 4 released steam into the clear blue sky. Named White 4, this reactor was one of 8 nuclear reactors recently completed across Qusmos. Each reactor had begun construction 15 years ago, and each was scheduled to come online by May 10th. Only a bit behind schedule, the ‘4’ family of reactors would be online within the day. On site, the head of the Committee for Energy Solutions looks over the plant from afar, speaking with a subordinate in charge of the plant.

“Looks very good, although I understand getting much closer isn’t particularly safe without a radiation suit.”

“This new reactor should be around 1250 MW each, too. Fairly soon, we might be able to start phasing out old reactors.”

“Are there any plans to phase out said old reactors?”

“They’ll be sent to Omniabstracta, whereupon they’ll be cleaned and scrapped, hopefully. “

“And the extra power needs?”

“They’ll be picked up by some Stractan reactors and solar panels in this region.”

“Seems alright, then. Towards a cleaner future!”

Traestani Republics officially departs the CDN alliance.

Today, a Council vote long in progress has been concluded. 553 votes to 548 votes, in favor of exiting the CDN. While it was a close vote, eventually, the vote was ruled towards leaving the CDN. Traestan has been having this vote in progress for a somewhat significant amount of time, finally ending it days ago. The vote outcome was unexpected, as most assumed that the overwhelming majority will vote to remain in the CDN. While a large amount of people will question the actions of the State, there is no possibility of reverting it. The bill has been passed, and the Traestani Republics will be departing the CDN. Although Traestan will be departing the Council of Democratic Nations, we will be aiming to keep our friendly relations with CDN member states.

Traestani Economy loses steam amidst numerous problems.

Amidst the technological boom in Traestan, with a recent example being the most powerful supercomputer in Traestan, and one of the most powerful supercomputers in the world, becoming operational, clocking at just over a hundred petaflops, along with intense industrial modernization, the agrosector has been experiencing a revitalization after the near decades of neglect. Traditionally, the agricultural sector has been the most important part of the economy, but since the Reformation in the early 60s, increasing focus on technological and industrial progress, the agricultural sector has fallen into neglect. Growth has been slowly inching upwards as modernization efforts turn to the agricultural sector.
However, the recent departure from the CDN has already cost the economy more than most predicted. Estimates are projecting economical growth to dip over to 6.4%, along with a downfall in trade, and investor worries, as a significant part pull out. This further dampens economic growth. Trade with Anderia, and a few other nations, jolted upwards since the exit, however.

Rise of the Left in Traestan

Sixty five years ago, during the Reunification of Traestan, a communist state formed. People hoped for a brighter future, after the chaos of the past, and were disappointed. The new regime was extremely repressive, authoritarian, and orwellian. Just a few years later, a devastating revolution occurred, with millions of deaths, adding to the already high amount of deaths from the fractured age of Warlords, which adds up to dozens of millions of deaths. After the revolution, a centrist government took control, and an aversion to socialism was developed amidst the Revolution. However, aversion to the Left has been rapidly dropping, as the authoritarian People's Republic of Traestan becomes history. An increasing part of the nation is becoming leftist, as the influence of Socialism in Traestan increases. And after the death of a well known Councilor, who was inclined towards the left, with rumors that he was assassinated, tensions between the right and the left have been rising.

Ad Astra, Per Aspera

Decades ago, our great thinkers dreamed of us, traveling amongst the stars. As technology advances, that slowly becomes a reality. As time marches forward, so does the inevitability of us, flying amongst the stars. And with the successful landing of the Atlas-C on Duna, with a manned crew, and the Protos-LV proving itself, despite it's first launch being a disaster, we come closer to this goal. The Atlas-C has departed Duna, and is en-route towards Kerbin. This is the first manned landing on any other terrestrial world for Traestan. Already, long term plans for colonies are being drawn up, key locations being Laythe, the Mun, and Duna. The budget for space exploration is drastically being increased, along with investments into the ARC Foundation, and investment into technological progress in general.

To help The Federal Republic of Ostreich the Defense Administer of Timbera has decided to send help for their current situation. We are giving FRO 300 T-55AM Medium Tanks (Free of Expense). "These tanks are from government warehouses and such a small number does not affect Timbera’s armed forces" claims Timbera's Defense Administer. The condition of the tanks is used surplus vehicles that are from 1982-1993 production years. This trade deal is only for helping out a fellow nation inside of the Meridan Treaty and not for instigating future conflict because we realize FRO needs more vehicles. The Vehicles are to mainly be for peace keeping reasons in FRO. And dew to the recent outbreak of hostilities in meridian treaty nations such as the assassination that took place in Kolonia.
