It is now 28 days since operation easter got underway.
Our forces entered Kheyaus held territory on the 13th, and began advancing to major cities with ports held by Kheyaus.
The Kheyausian forces were considerably better equipped than the previous adversaries, especially in anti-tank capabilities.
This fact caught our forces off guard at first, whereafter we decided to first suppress enemy troops with artillery and bombing, followed by quick advancement to defeat the enemy positions.
The initial resistance and change of tactics meant we lost more troops and advanced slower.
Once we had surrounded the 3 ports in Reinbeck, Regensgarten, and Raans, we began bombarding the cities.
The bombardments lasted a week and was followed by troops entering the cities.
After another week of fighting, Kheyausian troops surrendered, and we agreed to let them withdraw.
65% of all our losses in this operation were inflicted by Kheyaus in urban combat, a similar result as in the Iblanian War.
Soldiers have frequently complained about Herulic small arms being too long and unwieldy to be effective in an urban environment.

With this report, Operation Easter has been completed and is terminated.

Their leader recalled the orders given him by a thickly accented stranger that Huron had told him to trust, and hoped this would finally bring eternal peace to Kracsis...

State News Ticker: At 4:30 AM an office building suffered at the hands of an explosive device, and multiple fires were set. Perpetrators are as-yet unknown, however local authorities apprehended a group of young adults carrying explosive paraphernalia within a mile, and following a swift court trial they were executed. Sableopoli, Qusmos, 4/7/18

A high-pitched whine grows louder and louder, before a hiss of air blows, a low-pitched rush of air entering the engine. Soon after, a lower whine began as the twin engines on the back of the aircraft started, with the aid from the onboard APU. Out of the back of the engines emerged a thin cylinder of shock diamonds, surrounded by heat blur. The jet began to roll forwards on the runway as the shock diamonds disappeared, heat blur turning into red-orange flame.
The airframe was a new one, coated in a few layers of matte-grey paint so as to blend into the night sky above. Full of angles and devoid of curves, the wings were rather simple: trapezoids ending rather abruptly, a less harsh angle on the trailing edge compared to the leading edge. The nose seemed curved from far away, but it was really a composite of five angles matching other parts of the airplane. Thus followed for every angle on the aircraft: a part of a pair with another. The last thing to notice was the canted tailplanes and the lack of a specific pair of horizontal or vertical stabilizers. An odd combination overall, and a shape never seen in the skies above Qusmos. It takes off gracefully, and the landing gear folds seamlessly back into the aircraft for flight.
Just a few minutes later, the drone of a turboprop start up and an unmanned aircraft takes off from the airfield. With a utilitarian grace, the UAV takes to the skies and turns towards the unknown aircraft.
The unknown aircraft releases a missile from an internal bay, kicking it below the weapons bay before the missile’s ramjet engages. The rocket pushes it at near-hypersonic speeds towards the drone’s general direction. By the time the missile is halfway to its destination, it makes a slight course correction, pitching ever-so-slightly downwards. The drone begins to frantically spray chaff, but the missile seems undeterred. Before long, it explodes above the drone, sending it down in a trail of smoke and flame.
The unknown aircraft then allows a chase plane to follow it through numerous maneuvers, including some intended to simulate dogfighting maneuvers and others intended to test the performance limits of the aircraft.
An evaluation of the aircraft’s performance follows below.

F(M)-7 chase plane was incapable of holding position while Project Delta maneuvered.
Peak sustained acceleration in a turn was roughly 8.6G.
F(AS)-7A is capable of and cleared for 9G for comparison.
Peak sustained negative acceleration in a turn was roughly -3.7G.
F(AS)-7A is capable of and cleared for -3G for comparison.
Project Delta was not tested to fullest of turning ability for fear of fly-by-wire system override or malfunction.
Pilot limits are +9G/-4G to prevent physiological issues.
F(M)-7 chase plane was unable to sustain acceleration with Project Delta.
When loaded with armaments, Project Delta out-accelerates F(M)-7 by a factor of 1.25:1 with similar engines.
Project Delta is far more effective than F(M)-7 and presumably F(AS)-7A in an air superiority role.
Evaluation for air-to-ground role shows less effective capabilities for Project Delta as compared to F(M)-7.
Gungnir is performing as expected on launch and during flight.

The submarines’ conning towers’ drop into the calm waters, no waves to be seen. Before long, all that’s left is a ripple before no trace is left, other than glass shards,which were once 3 bottles of champagne.

Adriano, Giulia, and Tomasso are underway with skeleton crews and moving as quietly as possible. We thank you for your assistance regarding the modular and miniaturized air-independent propulsion onboard. All 3 of these vessels are examples of submarines with this technology. Maintenance as required should be relatively simple, and replication of these modules is acceptable for older submarines. Assessment of these technologies has been minimal, but limited studies indicate that these modules are marginally louder than built-in air independent propulsion. This is due to undampenable connections between the module and other portions of the hull generating vibrations leading to sound. We leave this issue to you to resolve, although if you do resolve the issue, please notify us as such and ideally, we can collaborate on such a solution.

Onboard Conquest, the submarine moves towards the predicted location of a suspected submarine.
“Sir, we’re following the direction of the submarine we spotted most recently. The other one is most certainly gone by now, but this other one is far quieter. Its last known location and velocity vector mean that it’s likely going towards the Hokubuhoni coast.”
The submarine continues to follow the other, with no diesel roar behind it, just the sound of a pump-jet displacing water and a low hiss as fuel cells produce electricity to power said pump-jet. Surveillance will continue until contact is reestablished or Conquest is suspected of detection.

Off the coast of Ostreich, 4/14/18

The sea. A calm day, rolling waves, and blue oceans. Underneath it, a ripple. The ripple slowly developed into a splash as concentric circles of seafoam radiated from 8 points underwater. At those points, the water began to glow orange before missiles roared into the sky. Within roughly a minute, they would hit their targets. But the unknown from whence they came? Not a nearby trace of it remained.
70 seconds later
A low, quiet roar. It grew louder and louder until becoming a piercing wail, then a blast. Then nothing. Smoke rose from an armored column, but the damage was focused on a single target: the logistics vehicles and anti-aircraft vehicles.
The damage was done, and a pair of LLRAAVs watched from afar before requesting fire support.Strike fighters screamed overhead, firing 10 missiles, two from each plane. Missiles slammed into tanks, igniting ammo racks and setting engines alight. Just 2 tanks remained from the assault, and after the planes were gone, 2 reports rolled across the land. Kinetic penetrators destroyed the remaining tanks, and in a show of combined arms, the column lay as burnt out husks with minimal friendly casualties. With the carnage, Sector 112 was cleared of opposition.

The Leader told the press that the Iblanian government is sympathetic to the Hokubjin nation, and was planning on striking the confederation along with them. Such an attack would have been unacceptable, and so the confederation jointly declared war on iblania. Invading Iblania will also allow our troops to engage with Hokubuhon directly, something they have made a great effort to avoid. More than a million men in total, 300 thousand of which are being reassigned into 2 all Menian armies, have been displaced to what will surely now be called the Second Iblanian War.

We have much good news.
We have managed to acquire blueprints for Kerthenian Miniature Air-Launched Decoys (MALDs), a radar-spoofing decoy missile, via a leak in Kerthenian defense procurement. These should serve us well for purposes of deception. 
Also procured was a large amount of Agent Orange (AO), (allegedly from the stocks of AO lost by [REDACTED] during the [REDACTED] War) via contacts in the black market. 
We have also received funding from undisclosed sources to continue production of the F-210. 
Upon discussion with the Committee on the Application of Special Weapons, the Committee recommended that a sizeable supply of warheads for our Taiyo IRBMs containing suitable amounts of AO be produced, as well as large quantities of MALDs, as soon as possible. 
Finally, our intelligence agencies reported that they have narrowed down the list of possible Herulic and Menian Alton ABM sites, and have obtained through unknown means confirmation of operational missile defense systems in several of the locations in question. Confirmation of further active sites remains a possibility.

On board S-287-1 the crew had become anxious, they had spent 10 days at sea in potentially hostile waters. and only 20 miles off the coast of Hokubuhon. They had no idea if they were being followed by another possibly NMC or Hokubujinese submarine, which was very likely as the Hokubujinese sub they are trailing probably has reported that they were begin trailed its navy. The S-287-1 would normally be equipped with a towed sonar, but because how quickly the sub was put on a mission there was not enough time for it to be installed. To check the subs blind spot behind it the baffles needed to be cleared.


the control room of S-287-1 was abuzz with activity the captain is moments away from executing a baffles clearing maneuver. Captain Romavi executed the order

"Helmsmen, bring us around 180 degrees, hard. We need to clear that baffle"

"Aye aye captain" the helmsman quickly responded.

The S-287-1 begin to pull a very hard right, and in less then a minute is was facing 180 degrees opposite of its previous heading

"Helms, get us moving to 2 knots forward. Sonar, give me one ping."

"Sir only one ping?"

"Yes, one ping. and one ping only"

"Yes sir"

The S-287-1 started to move 2 knots towards its previous blind spot, and shortly later 1 ping rang out

"Wait, yes sir. One small submarine. I think it is smaller than any Hokubujinese or Herulic sub that we know of. It is possible it could be CDN."

"Very well then. Helms, bring us up to 5 knots forward, lets make that sub move."

The Hokubujinese sub was within its home waters, the S-287-1 has completed its primary mission and it would now take upon a new mission. Hunting the unknown submarine.

The Sekap Sea, 4/19/18
Conquest lurks in the Sekap Sea, as a sonar operator watches his display. A high-pitched whistle shrieks into his ears through a headset. He thinks, “I really should switch the sonar reception sound to the ping noise. That sounded awful.”

“We’ve been pinged! Sir, your orders?”

Thoughts race through Captain Lewis’ mind, among them the depth of the sea they’re in and the absence of a thermocline.

“Listen for repeats. Stay silent. What’s the location and velocity vector of the source?”

The sonar screen reads both the origin point and velocity of the active sonar source(and by extension the other vessel). For a moment, the other submarine is visible on passive sonar before fading away soon after. No further active sonar pings are heard.

“1 o’clock at 2 knots, direction exactly opposite of previous. Passive from that heading states 5 knots and confirms location. Ship type unknown from our database.”

After some consideration, Captain Lewis speaks again.

“Helmsman, keep our speed varied from between 1 and 7 knots. Sonar operator, keep track of them on passive and keep the towed array deployed. If you hear anything, tell me. Our objective has changed. We must avoid further detection and maintain a location on the unknown vessel. XO Anderson, the bridge is yours. Keep me updated.”

The captain returns to his quarters, considering the options available. The most appealing, if this scenario continues, would be an escape to the open seas and a dive below the thermocline to avoid active sonar. Besides which, Conquest requires more provisions, so she cannot continue this game of cat and mouse forever. In the back of his mind lingers one question: What is that hostile submarine?

The captain wracked his brain before considering the options. No CDN nation possessed submarines in the “small” size class, but nor did any nation in the Strait or any UoP member. It must’ve had some sort of long-range propulsion to make it this far, or traveled very slowly. That left a singular nation–it was Serrian. They had recently collaborated with the Qusmosi on submarines, surely this was a test of its capabilities. For a submarine to disappear, so close to the Conquest? It had to be.

The captain walked onto the bridge, confident and self-assured. The crew stood at attention if not otherwise unoccupied.

In these recent and troubling times, action must be taken against the veil force of imperialism. On board S-287-1 the hunt for the submarine detected earlier while clearing the baffles had begun. The S-287-1 had turned off its active sonar and had begun to dive 10 meters deeper and move onto the last known heading of the smaller submarine detected earlier using only passive sonar. Captain Ramovi still remained in the control room overseeing the operation, the second in command had begun to talk to the captain.

"Captain, do we have any idea of whose submarine we are attempting to pursue. It is possibly a Herulic or a Holubujinese submarine. I doubt it could be a CDN submarine unless they set up a submarine base in Aquarius already, that sub would be so far from home and possibly running low on food and oxygen. "

"It could possibly be a nuclear submarine from the CDN, but I do not think such a small submarine would be able to be nuclear, it is probably a Herulic or Hokujinese sub. But let us continue on the last known heading of that submarine. Helms, put us on the last known course of that sub at 8 O'Clock. We are going full silence, passive sonar only."

S-287-1 began to do a very slow turn, putting it on an 8 O'Clock course, the last known heading of the small submarine and is approximately 5-8 km behind it. It dropped its speed to 4 knots and went silent, listening only on passive sonar.

Captain Lewis considers his options and weighing them together, he concludes the only effective course of action is an escape from the Strait. From the two submarines in the Strait, one of unknown origin, to the limited endurance of his vessel, he was sure of his decision. And so he needed to request another submarine in the Sekap Sea, for Conquest would be returning home within the next two weeks. Outwardly confident but inwardly unsure, he strode onto the bridge.
“At ease. Helmsman, plot a course back to Aquarian waters.”

“Affirmative. I’ll get started right away. ”

“Head Engineer, what’s the status of our fuel cells? Can they get us out of the Sea?”

“Fuel cells are at 73% energy from our roughly 7 days of use. We have more than enough energy to exit the Sea at 15 knots if need be.”

“Helmsman, follow your course at 8 knots. Keep silent and as soon as we get farther from coastal waters, get below a thermocline. This vessel is on high alert until, and perhaps after, we exit the sea. XO Anderson has the bridge. “

After the captain exits, the bridge is nearly silent until the helmsman speaks rather self-assuredly.

“Estimated time of arrival is 8 days. It should take 48 hours to reach Aquarian waters. Estimated time to reach the Strait is 68 hours, and return home will thus be 124 hours.”

The captain drafts a message for the mainland. However, it won’t be transmitted until entering Aquarian waters, for sending it would require surfacing. It follows below.

Army 5 has successfully rushed towards the Iblanian capital, Potantius.
Army 4 has successfully landed by Anderson, and have advanced to Potantius.
Army 1, 2, and 3 have carefully advanced around Carmen, and are ready to begin pushing.
Army 6 has advanced.
Corps 1 has advanced.

Iblania, seemingly expecting a naval landing or southern thrust did not oppose Army 5s advance significantly, allowing them to advance at their pace while remaining organized.
Army 4 was heavily opposed by Iblanian troops and the Hokubjin navy, who inflicted thousands of casualties within hours.
The ASW destroyer, HRS Eduard II, was lost among 3 ASW frigates and several landing crafts.
Army 4 has, however, advanced to Potantius, completing the encirclement
Army 1, 2, and 3 have faced significant resistance, but have advanced steadily to avoid conflict with Carmen.
Army 6 and Corps 1 has advanced virtually unopposed but has advanced slowly due to mud and generally unfavorable conditions.

Once Potantius is completely taken, Army 1, 2, and 3 will advance into the encircled forces.
Army 6 and Corps 1 will continue to clear out northern Iblania.
West surface-fleet 1 will loiter outside of Anderson, and provide air defense.
West surface-fleet 2 will continue to patrol friendly coasts.

It was a normal commute. People tried best to ignore the construction sites where skyscrapers once stood, leveled by missile strikes. Clara Kerman was sick of it all. The violence, the war, the words. She just wanted a stable life where she could support her children and her aging mother.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the car, Stanley Kerman was angry. Angry at the loss of the CPR, angry at the lack of support by the common man for the people's revolution, angry at the authoritarian rule of the NDE, and the people's complacency towards it. So when he was approached by the Corgelian Workers' Revolutionary Movement, promising him a legacy of glory and a fight against the government, he joined in an instant. He pulled out his instrument case with its BR-82 concealed inside, and opened it. With the magazine already loaded, he clicked the safety down one notch to Auto, and slowly chambered a round. Grabbing the weapon, he noticed the man beside him looking on in terror, and opened his mouth to scream, but a quick elbow to the face stunned him. He cast the case aside, and with a yell of "Freedom to the worker!" he opened fire on the car.
Clara had always been paranoid. She had felt on edge all morning, and she had packed her pistol. The second she heard the first round go off, her purse was open. She fumbled, looking through the bag, finding her pistol, then looking for the ammunition. Once finding it, she slid it into the weapon, chambering a bullet, then stood up, moving through the crowd of running people. With a momentary break in the firing, she realized the gunman must be reloading. She finally pulled to the front, where she saw the gunman standing around bloodied bodies. She knew what to do. She put both hands on her pistol, aimed it at the distracted attacker, and fired two rounds. He fell down, and she moved towards him, firing the rest of her clip into his inert body. A sudden silence struck the car, as all began to weep for those who fell.

At 4:23 this morning, a missile test was conducted by the CDF to be sure of Cascablanca's new ICBM capability. At 22m long, the Guardyienne 5 ICBM has a disclosed range of 12,000 kilometers. It is liquid-fueled, and would not have been possible without recent developments in Cascablanca's prospering space program, having recently placed three satellites into orbit at low cost, due to their recoverable and reusable first stages. The Guardyienne 5 can carry a warhead up to 1,000kg in weight. The missile travelled in a vertical trajectory, with the dummy payload splashing down safely by use of recovery parachutes in the sea south of Vingtatia.

Presidente Peqcetfuaro announced the signation of a trade deal with Corgelia, permitting easier trade and economic links between both countries. Furthermore, Parliamente declared that the position of the Presidente no longer has the power of the purse, and cannot authorize spending over ╒1 million without Parliamentary approval. This has been done in response to Peqcetfuaro's recent rampant military spending that, while it has vastly strengthened Cascablanca's defenses against foreign aggression, has caused great furor among taxpayers with the recent tax hike to 15%. A major part of his reforms, the Home Defense Act, has gone into action, providing civilians with training and weapons to defend themselves, even when the military cannot do so. Elections are set to take place very soon, and are expected to bring about major power shifts in government.

Sellenese-Menian Aircraft Lease

On behalf of our beloved leader, the Sellenese state would like to announce an aircraft lend lease with Kracsis.
The lease was primarily developed to acquire 4.5th generation CS7 Thunderhawk series I and II aircraft for the KAAF in exchange of both raw and refined resources and factory workers to benefit both militaries. Within the first week 47 surplus VAF (Værsk (Sellenese) Air Force) series I aircraft, plus 10 brand new and 20 active series II aircraft are expected to be delivered, with 50 on order with options for a further 50 and a production license, the order expected to be fulfilled in just over a month with the 50 aircraft pushed to the front of the production line.

Also being leased are 80 surplus and reserve Sivirkin ASH-17 Comet ASW ship-based helicopters, with an expected delivery rate of 10 days, plus an order of 75 SAAS 67 Valkyrie attack and CAS aircraft, with a monthly delivery of 15 to compensate for presumed losses in combat.
