The Queen stepped out of her balcony. Usually, the Palace was quiet at noon - the Royal Guard kept the place in check and ensured there was to be no intruder in the Palace. Today was different. Hundreds of people swarmed outside of the palace, and the entire area surrounding it cleared and heavily guarded by the Royal Guard. This was a regular measure - but security has been tighter since a terrorist attack in the city.

The refugee crises in Syria had come upon the Armendan nation, and numerous Armendans welcomed the influx of refugees upon their homes. The terrorist attack, a hostage incident that had taken place in a café in the capital was quickly repelled by the SWAT, and the only casualty was the shopkeeper who died by the time the terrorists entered - by heart attack, no less. This was the first terrorist attack on Armendan soil, however, and security had gone up.

Most of the refugees, legal or not, were put in refugee camps until they were processed and given simple jobs and homes. The process was speedy, of course, as the Armendan nation had more than enough room for refugees. The program took off within days, and continued well on. The terrorist attack brought on panic among the populace, however, and the program was further revised to prevent letting in terrorists in the nation. But now, this crisis in Astrania? This soon became the topic one would discuss in and around coffee shops, in dinners and what not.

A country split in half, and now the Southern ones putting Muslims into camps which Armendans regarded as the camps Hitler put the Jews into. Various news agencies portrayed this metaphor upon the activity, and the government staunchly condemned the interment camps.
