Yggdrasil Cold war

Postby The Shadow Republik » Wed Aug 31, 2016 11:29 am

The Yggdrasil Cold War as it has come to be know started when the Yggdrasil Socialist party was formed this was met with a massive resistance by the capitalist nation's of Yggdrasil. The party had barley existed for a week when a micro war broke out in this war 2 nations began to lead the charge against each other. These nations are serjo and The shadow republik. The war has escalated since then as the leaders of the shadow republik and serjo fought each other in swordplay. But recent events have pushed the cold war to a boiling point and as nations make allegiance and declare neutrality every one is holding their breath as to what will happen.

Waters City, Watersville

War. Many said that it was inevitable at this point, but was it really? Many in Watersville would have to disagree with these tactics, however many nations abroad disagreed. Watersville found herself surrounded by nations preparing for war, and yet, the Kingdom found that this was not the path they would take. The pacifists had been in control of the small nations Parliament for years, and the King, King Joseph, and his daughter, Crown Princess Hannah, heir to the throne of Watersville, felt that it was their obligation to remain neutral in conflicts. The King reigned over his territories that had been in the Kingdom's possession since the colonial era.

The situation abroad, however, still was extremely worrying. Watersville, as it had for many years, had never gone to war and had, for the most part, never had any army to talk about. The nation took neutrality to a whole new level. The pacifists, with the approval of King Joseph, had been successful in disarming the nation, and weapons had been banned throughout the Kingdom. The crime rate had been reduced to its lowest levels on record and the economy was at its strongest ever. The horrors of war had, for the most part, been witnessed only by those who had volunteered to help aid the citizens that had been most affected by the war. This had not come without a cost, as hundreds of innocent aid workers had been killed in attacks during the Oehiton conflict. Those lost would never be forgotten.

The King now watched intently as the news spread of conflicts between the nations of Serjo and the Shadow Republik became apparent after talks had broken down between them. Joseph noted that this conflict would be different than many of the other conflicts as this one would be much closer to home than any other conflict that the nation had known or seen. He decided to wait for awhile to see what would transpire before he would make his own announcement.

Imperial Palace
Subterranean Hive Tempestus, Royal Imperium of Sternberg

His breath steaming within the early morning air, Henry Ronould Melverry, Consul of the Sternberg Legislative Assembly, shuffled his arm-hold on the file folder he had tucked underneath a suited arm as he strode across the carved and buttressed stone bridge that connected the Noble Quarter's through-fare of the Hive to the Royal Palace of the Imperium - a vast structure of hardened Sternbergite granite, topped by a light-refracting dome of shimmering blue armoured crystal and seemingly more reflective of an architectural exercise in Neo-Gothism, if the sallow-faced statues in several recesses and harsh lines were anything to go by.

The Consul had been summoned from his quarters in the Legislative Assembly earlier that morning and, having hastily dressed, eaten and gathered his relevant papers, he had taken one of the many "mono-vators" down several levels of the underground hive into the Royal Quarter. Despite his seemingly flustered state, this was not a spur-of-the-moment summons from his liege-lady, the youthful Empress-Regnant of the Imperium. The Consul had prided himself on his professionalism before the court and his able-handedness of navigating and holding together an often fractious Assembly of Senators and Tribunes who could easily out-vote any proposals from among their own, or rally behind their ruler when driven to patriotic fervor.

On this occasion, however, there was a matter of import that had sent murmurings within the halls of power. According to Sternberg Military Intelligence Command and subsequent rumor-milling within the journalistic community, there had been an undertone of political tension between two member-states of the Yggdrasil alliance: the Shadow Republik and the nation-state of Serjo. Both had been at the center of a bout of saber-rattling over contrasting socio-eco-political doctrine several months ago and, according to SMI, several small-scale skirmishes between the two nations had broken out before a hastily agreed-to cease-fire had been imposed. Now, fresh intelligence had warned that both sides were likely beginning to start again ... and this time, there may not be any stopping them.

Melverry shook his head at the nonsense; how did such a seemingly insignificant disagreement over the "hows" of running one's own nation spiral so far out of control? Did such a thing even matter that much to them both that they might risk war? These questions and others had made their rounds through his head in the wake of the crisis and, truth be told, he couldn't fully agree or disagree with them. Here in the Royal Imperium, government was invested in a hybridization of constitutional monarchism, a heavily-reigned in military and social economic policy not too far different from the theories proposed by the 1920's A.D. scholar Eduard Bernstein. Thus, at least in theory, they'd support a more socialist-leaning camp. Yet the Empress had made it clear in the crisis' aftermath that Sternberg would not become involved in another nation's affairs unless any conflict potentially spilled over or directly harmed the Imperium itself; she was not prepared to go the way of her much-reviled predecessor and imperial ancestor, Henry VII.

Such days and dreams of dominant power were long gone. The Imperium's citizenry practically lived besides and beneath the bones of their past glories and failures in the centuries since the royally-provoked Separation War, a harsh, living testament to how the foolishness of unbridled authority and unchecked demagoguery can tear down even the most prosperous and seemingly-invulnerable of nations. One facet out of many of this most recent crisis to sweep the region that so concerned both the Throne and Parliament.

Stopping before the heavily-guarded iron-ringed gates that barred the entryway into the palace, Melverry fished into his jacket pocket for his identification papers before handing them to a stern-faced and heavily-armed Sister of the Ascendant Sword, one of the monastic military retainers that guarded the person and residence of the Empress. Scowling at the pages, the sister nodded in affirmation and stepped aside, bidding Melverry welcome as one of the doors began to roll back on well-oiled hinges. Melverry strode inside shortly after, before the gates clanged shut behind him ...

The Grand Palace
Central Savesta, The Imperial Kingdom of Miriliarith

The day was bright and just beginning, Queen Haltz, the leader of Miriliarith , moved around the Palace for a stroll, at times she w greeting with a bow, and at times she was saluted at by troopers of the 1st Shock Armed Regiment who were defending the capital and the home of the Queen. She looked around and with a heavy sigh and gazed at the sunrise, it's only 4:00 am, and yet her she is not getting enough sleep and wandering around like a soul lost in the shadows.

Suddenly the High Lord General of the Royal Shock Regiments came running from one of the many shiny stone-marble hallways with the utmost urgency to Haltz. The queen greeted him with a smile and asks what is wrong. The High General explained to her accordingly, the tension situation that's happening within the region between the capitalist nations and communist nations are beginning to be taken out of hand and at this point all out war might happen between the two nations, and we are placed in a position where we can no longer chose to be neutral. The Queen was utterly shocked at the news and she knows she wasn't going to give the decision now, she simply tells the high General to give her a few hours then the decision will be made. With that the General leaves and the Queen rushes to the throne room.

A few hours later, the throne room was filled with a few advisors and the middle of the room, a map of Yggdrasil, there were various murmurs and a few shouts concerning that Mirliarith should side with Shadow Republik and others were screaming that Serjo is a more reasonable choice, she had taken various events and realizations accordingly such as why these nations battle one another for a simple state of economy and government, the arrogance was real, and she knows very well she too is arrogant as they are. however the Queen took a small note on what their country is and was before, a place that was strangled by war, not just for a few years but more than a thousand, following the blood bind of the 3 city-kingdoms that the unified government will always follow a government based economy and that all the people that live under Miriliarith shall receive aid, food and education for free, in other words Miriliarith follows a socialist type of government and economy, with that in mind the queen raises her hand and silence fell upon the room, neutrality is where a nation doesn't want to get their hands dirty, with Socialism near next to fascism whilst the capitalist steal from the people. She has decided and that all there is to it. The side to be taken was with Shadow Republik.

The decision was made and everyone in the throne room has respected that decision and left, the high General enters and salutes to the Queen. Haltz has no love for war and isn't looking forward for an offensive war. So her orders were simple, prepare the army for the Mass and general armament of the 30 regiments, begin producing weapons, ammunition, armored vehicles and equipment, and lastly have all regiments return to active duty and begin reconstruction of the "Frontal Line" Defense wall. With that Haltz has decided to run a defensive war and plan lend lease operations with other nations that might decide to join Shadow Republik. With those orders now taken, the High General left with utmost speed and would begin with the general armament. Haltz gave a heavy sigh and calls for an advisor, she tells the advisor make the decision final, and make it public. With that the advisor left and Queen Haltz has been left in the room to wait. "The worst part about a war is to wait"

Imperial Palace - Throne Room

Striding through the column-lined entrance hall, Melverry eventually emerged within the main feature of the palace - the domed throne auditorium. A two-level arena lined by supporting columns and buttresses for the dome above their heads, this arena was usually used by the Empress when she had to hear matters of state or to convene emergency councils that neither the Legislative Assembly or the Consuls could act on in their own capacities. Today, the seating on the level above was packed to the rafters; idle chatter fluttered among the assembled Senators and Tribunes as, right in the center of the room before the empty raised throne, a small assembly had gathered - Melverry's fellow Consul Albrecht Mallerheim, Commander of the I.S.D.F. Canoness Sylvania Virtrix of the Ascendant Sword, the recently promoted Tribune for Military Intelligence General Samuel Hargrave and representatives from the Assembly's various parties.

"Consul." Canoness Virtrix acknowledged, turning to face Melverry. Her compatriots likewise glanced at the approaching statesman and greeted him in turn with a nod or the odd handshake. One of them inquired to Melverry as to what this whole assembly was about, but the Consul's answer was cut short. A door on the second level swung open and the court's Sergeant of Arms entered; the sound of a two-handed mace's pommel striking the floor cut any brewing conversations in the seats off.

"Pray thee silence for Her Imperial and Royal Majesty, the Empress of the Royal Imperium Joan the First." On cue, the Empress entered the auditorium, acknowledging those who knelt to her and ascended the throne.

"Rise, and be seated." she bade the assembly as she nestled herself within the high-backed throne, then turned to the court's Sergeant. "Sergeants of the Rod, seal the room; admit no-one until called for or two hours have elapsed." Once the doors were sealed and checked, the Empress bade General Hargrave to recount for the court the brewing situation in wider Yggdrasil. Hargrave expressed confusion - owing to the fact that Joan had already been briefed - but the Empress insisted, citing "for the benefit of the court", who had not been told.

After Hargrave's somewhat lurching summery - having been put on the spot and forced to considerably condense intelligence and news rumors down to a manageable, brief report, as well as chipping-in from Melverry and the other advisers, the question that the Consul's knew would be the first to hear arose from a Tribune in the gallery: "My Empress, what is to be done?"

A palpable change came over the Empress, Melverry noted; her gaze had drifted to the floor, the fingers of her right hand tapping away on the edge of the throne's armrests like a pianist and he could hear vague mutterings as the Empress tried to turn the decision over and over through her head. Then, a flash of anger passed through her eyes and she gripped the armrests before she rose.

"Nothing." she sharply declared, to the now-unleashed dismay of the gallery. Several Tribunes and Senators - those more divided by their own interests, sympathies and loyalties, then common interest in the realm - rapidly erupted in a degenerating shouting match with their peers, and Melverry urged the Canoness to intervene before a riot broke out. In minutes, armed Sisters had waded through the stalls and hauled the ring-leaders behind the disruption out of the throne room; once a tense calm had descended, Joan appeared calm enough to speak again.

Pacing the auditorium, she fixed her gaze on the assembly above her head as she went on - on the nation's imperial past, her predecessors' successes and failures and how, through it all, it was the relation between the people and the monarchy that had held the Imperium together. She was sympathetic to the socialist cause - after all, social democracy was a cornerstone in the politics between those who worked, those who governed and the Crown. Yet, to fully commit to a rebellion against the established order, into a war that will upset Yggdrasil's balance of power, was utter folly and likely end in a still-recovering Sternberg being destroyed.

Thus, she declared, the Royal Imperium would not commit to one faction or the other; it will remain on the sidelines and try to work for a diplomatic solution. If, however, push came to shove and the Crown was forced to go to war, they would fight to restore order and keep Yggdrasil intact. Tragically, such a drastic measure would mean siding with the capitalist camp.

"We will not stand idly by should Yggdrasil threaten to come apart around us! If the Royal Imperium is, as we often tell ourselves, a potential force for stability in this region, now we must act on it!"

She quickly listed off a series of orders to her advisers, to be carried out as soon as feasibly possible over the next few days:

  • Canoness Virtrix was tasked with placing the ISDF on stand-by alert. Reserves for both arms were to be called up, the Praetoria Imperialis was to be readied for any humanitarian missions requested of them in 96 hours and the CMF 'tapped' for possible involvement.
  • Orders were to be dispatched to the Imperium's Foreign Office for a missive to be circulated among the embassies hosted in Sternberg; said missive was to request clarification from the consulates as to their governments' current stances and input on the crisis. While it strongly emphasized that the Imperium was not to become involved in this 'cold war' one way or another, it also warned that the Imperium will intervene if the nation was to be attacked by any antagonist who declares for one 'faction' or the other,
  • Both Consuls were not given any immediate tasks, but Her Majesty did request for them to try and hold the Legislative Assembly together in the interim. The brief demonstration, though quashed, did indicate to the Crown that emotions and tensions were running high; any crack would result in political trouble for the region,
  • Finally, Sternberg Military Intelligence was to be tasks with monitoring internal and external traffic on the crisis as it developed. While no 'physical infiltration' assignments were to be ordered from the throne, the Empress suggested that Hargrave had dispensation to act on any internal security issues that emerged.

A final appeal for calm was her last words to the audience before she lifted the sealing of the room and allowed everyone to disperse.

Cold War in Yggdrasil

Postby Utopiaana » Fri Sep 02, 2016 3:46 am

All though the parliament of Utopiaana is not in favor of Utopiaana's interference in this conflict (Utopiaana currently has a right-wing, capitalist-friendly government). The Supreme Leader, Torleif Svaringshaug has been decisive when it comes to supporting the Yggdrasil Socialist party. He is the Supreme Leader, and has the final say in all matters. He has commanded the leaders of armed forces of Utopiaana to "be at the ready", and he has ordered military advisers to assist the Socialist forces of Yggdrasil. The office of the Supreme Leader has also said that advanced missile systems might be deployed to protect Socialist forces to any attack by the capitalist side. These modern, medium-range missile systems have both offensive and defensive capabilities. it is likely that this will be approved by the Parliament of Utopiaana. The office of the Supreme Leader has stated that if Parliament should reject deploying these missile systems, the Supreme Leader will deploy them anyway, as the vote in Parliament is just an "advisory" vote and not legally binding.

Tzuland Military Command Center
Loaction Unknow, The Military Dictatorship of Tzuland

General Tzu walk into his office with good mood, watch troops march-past, tank and fighter are doing their last preparation, the moment when micro war broke out between serjo and the_shadow_republik, he order all the military force to get ready for the war, national curfew immediately announce, law enforcement will be take out any trouble maker on sight. all the poltical rival and citizen on the watch list or immigrant/tourist/visitor from Yggdrasil or other region are send to concentration camp for extermination or research purpose, to prevent any further issue that might affect the nations stability.

Unlike most of country, The Military Dictatorship of Tzuland are happy to see the cold war finally turning into hot war, the war preparation is ready since cold war start, Tzuland is waiting for too long almost lost it's patience, but the time finally come a chance that Tzuland can expand it's territory, grabbing the land and resource, take enemy captive to use for some human experiment, bombing the enemy city kill their citizen for all sort of weapon test...

But for now he decide to stay neutral for now, but keep it's support on socialist side, and start send diplomat to the nation support the socialist side, it's best for the nations interest, soon as Tzuland figure out who is ally and who is the enemy, they will join the war with it's allies.

Shadow Republik Military Command Bunker
Location Unknown, The Shadow Republik

John Smith a high ranking commander in the Intelligence Division walked down the bunkers decent sized halls and made his way to Grand General Rogue Shadow's conference room. As he walked he remembered a quote from an old war by some general. the quote went like " This isn't peace this is a armistice for 20 years." this quote reminded John of the Shadow Republik's current situation after a recent battle a sort of peace had been put in place between the Socialist states and the Capitalist states but that peace was quickly falling apart.

John arrived at the conference room were a war preparedness meeting was taking place. After he was cleared to enter by the guards he entered to see what looked like an all out brawl between all the military high command with shadow just watching with a look of disappointment. After a few minutes of this brawl Shadow stood up and said “ be silent and sit down you buffoons!”

After everyone was seated Shadow nodded at John and said “Tell us what has happened.” John nodded and said “ the armistice between the capitalist nations and the socialist nation has fallen apart both sides seem to be mobilizing and previously neutral nations are throwing their weight behind either socialism or capitalism in hopes to keep their citizens safe but as far as our spies can tell Serjo and the other capitalist nations have yet to make a move. So I propose that we wait till something happens so we don’t start the inevitable war.”

After his speech John sat down and shadow said “I want you to mobilize the entire active duty military but only on defence so as not to provoke an attack also send a message to any nation willing to help us in a time of war and let them know that war will soon be upon us so prepare your industry and soldiers. You are all dismissed.” Everyone stood up and saluted and walked out the door to their respective post. All except Shadow and John.

“Well?” said shadow “what else did you want to say?” John said “I’m sorry about the armistice breaking down but this war will be one of the bloodiest in Yggdrasil history with a projected 2 billion casualties on all sides. So I would like to suggest instead of fighting them we just drop the super weapon on them and end the war before it starts.”

Shadow smiled and said “their government can be reformed and the council of elders strictly forbid the use of WMD’s against nations of yggdrasil so we will fight a traditional war against the enemy. You are dismissed commander John.”

John walked out of the room and thought that maybe Shadow was right about not using WMD’s and possibly getting voted out of yggdrasil. Once John got to his office he sent a message to any nation willing to help them in this war.

Message sent to ally and independant nations

Hello this is the Shadow Republik we are gearing up for a possible war against capitalism if possible we humbly request you give us your aid to win this war to create a peace between all the political beliefs.

Thank you

Waters City Royal Palace, Waters City, Watersville

Joseph had seen where reports had surfaced of several nations beginning to mobilize their armies, and Joseph was growing increasingly worried about the number of nations that were beginning to prepare for the worst. The good news was that all the nations thus far had begun to take up defensive positions rather than offensive positions, however it was still worrying to see that many thought that war was inevitable. Joseph turned his head as a knock came from his door. "Come in." The door slowly opened to reveal the secretary, whom bowed as she entered the room. "A message, from the Nation of the Shadow Republik." Joesph gulped, fearing what the note might say. He reached out and took the note fro her hand before she left, closing the door behind her. Joseph looked at the white envelope that he flipped in his hands. He took out his letter opener and quickly opened the envelope, sliding the note out and reading it. His heart sank. A possible war. Joseph shook his head as he decided what he should say.

From: The Royal House of Waters City and Watersville
To: John Smith, Head of Intelligence for the nation of the Shadow Republik,

Although we are glad to have received your message, we cannot give help to you in the possible war that may occur. This is because, as a pacifistic nation that remain neutral in all conflicts, we are not willing to help your nation this way. If it makes you feel better, we can guarantee that we will help the capitalists either. Should war break out, however, we can assure you that we will open up aid camps to help unarmed citizens that need medical attention.

Capital city of Valhyria, Valhys.
The Palace of Dragons, the Throne Room.

Its been few weeks ever since Valhyria obtained its independence from the dictatorship of Catra, that have isolated the Empire from the Internacional community for almost 20 years, now with the return of Emperor Daereon I, Valhyria can now play a role in Yggdrasil´s politics. Even though the valhyrian people are willing to work with their yggdrasilian brothers and sisters, they are reluctant to stand side to side with the capitalist nations, those who defend freedom above all, did not help Valhyria from the chains of oppression and injustice of Catra, instead they made sanctions against Catra, making even worse the life of valhyrian as their nation´s economy fell.

Emperor Daereon I and the 169 MP´s of the Imperial Unity Party are gathered in the Throne Room discussing the intelnational situation of Yggdrasil and what should be the course that Valhyria must take.

"Valhyria must side with the Shadow Republik, our policies are to protect and serve the will of the people. That is socialism! That is what we should defend, not capitalism!"- MP Hadren.

"Capitalism is part of Valhyria. The economic reforms of MP Medra resulted the economic prosperity of Valhyria. Though socialism is the policy of the Empire it is reinforced by capitalist ideas."- MP Jael.

"Why should we be even involved in this "Cold War"? Valhyria has done well without foreign aid or support of the major nations of Yggdrasil. We should continue our isolacionism and continue to grow. Valhyria is for Valhyrians!"- MP Dera.

All party members continue to discuss, hours passed until Emperor Daereon decided that all the MP´s should vote on which side should the valhyrian people help. Each MP will choose one of three choices: Support to Capitalism, Support to Socialism or Neutrality. The leader of the IUP address the Senate, the Parliament and the citizens of the Empire with the results of the voting.

"People of Valhyria, Senators and Party members... after 13 hours the results of the vote of what should Valhyria do are: 47 to support capitalism, 20 abstained, 51 to remain neutral and 51 to support socialism. Neutrality and Socialism tied and so another vote would be required... but our leader, Emperor Daereon I has decided to defend both choices. The Imperial States of Valhyria will remain neutral from the "Cold War" but will encourage and support socialism. May the Father and the Mother guide us to glory and prosperity. All hail Emperor Daereon I! All hail Valhyria!"- MP leader Hayen Mea El-Gyron.

"All hail Valhyria! All hail Valhyria! All hail Valhyria!"- MPs

Palace of Dragons, The Imperial Room.

In the Imperial Room, the living quarters of the Emperor, three people were watching the results of the vote, two of them were Emperor Daereon I and Wilhelm Gya El-Alua, the other was a representative of Shadow Republik:

"Neutral yet supportive to socialism, hmm?"- S.R. representative

"There was no other choice. I doubt that the majority would want to support socialism, those who voted to support capitalism could have persuaded those who abstained."- Wilhelm

"In the end everything worked out to our cause. Valhyria will help your nation. I do except that the Shadow Republik does not forget this sign of friendship."- Emperor Daereon I

"I guarantee... we will not forget. After all my nation and your Majesty do have a history."- S.R. representative, walks out the Imperial Room.

"A history?"- Wilhelm

"Let´s just say that i have triple nationality."- Emperor Daereon I

"Triple? You´re Valhyrian in your father´s side, Catrian in your mother´s and..."- Wilhelm, stopped speaking when he realized what the Emperor meant.

"Do not worry Wilhelm. I know you wont say nothing of this to anyone, because you are loyal to me. Well then... what will the future reserve to us?"- Emperor Daereon I

The construction of the defense "frontline wall" and others

Postby Miriliarith » Mon Sep 05, 2016 10:44 pm

Borderlands
outskirts of Miriliarith, Forward defense post Alpha

Major. Ruska, a strong and dependable man who can make the impossible work, he and a few other majors are tasked with the defense of the construction of the "Frontline Wall" which is the main defense against an invasion if any capitalist nations ever dare to strike.

The wall construction is going well for the scaffolding and base. Ordnance, armored cars, and arms were brought from the reserve armory as support for the defense but any hard attack would have destroyed the defense and ultimately the base of the wall.

While Ruska was watching the wall with his fellow sergeant, he asked him "The wall goes great sergeant.....tell me wasn't the queen who ordered the destruction of the wall in the 1st place?"

With that the sergeant replied. " yes sir she was the one who told us to tear it down...only 3 years ago after the peace has been officially been called...and now we are re-constructing the 30 meter beast"

"Well sergeant why is it us who has to watch the wall....wasn't there other things we had to do? I was quite excited with the general armament....and I heard that the radio signal to recall the two lost regiments was also another?"

"Well sir, we are placed wth the other majors to watch the wall is because you can make the impossible work. While the General Armament is being watched by the eyeful Gen.Renzia who was suddenly cleared for active duty once more, and her regimental shock troops have suddenly re-appeared to join our ranks once more."

"Seriously....her? Renzia, isn't she the one who likes to torture her prisoners and executed a high ranking officer which violated the Human Rights Rules of the Regiments?...heh last time I heard of her, I was under her command and-"

" and was convicted and sent back to Prime HQ for re-education, her regiment did disappear during the last months of the 60,000 year civil war, well atleast they are back now. Also With that happening a radio signal from the Main HQ of the 1st and Finest is trying to contact the missing UberKommados and the 50th Corps regiment to return to arms and defend the motherland once more. After a few days, no success was made with return, with all due respect sir, you are needed here more"

"Well ok....anyways let's have our boys build up a temporary trench, let's get some field work done"

Entrance to the grand council room

Kaiasr walked briskly out of the grand council's meeting room,

"that went surprisingly well" he thought. The grand council had almost unanimously agreed that something must be done about the increasing communist threat within yggdrasil. What they had not agreed on was how serjo should respond. Some thought military action was the only way to deal with the communists, while others believed that diplomacy was the only option. Though, after much debate they agreed that serjo should prepare for a long, drawn-out and bloody war.

With the orders in hand, Kaisar swiftly walked to a fortified bunker utilized as a command center in times of war. Before he made even half way he was stopped by a servant.

"My lord" the servant croaked

"yes?" Kaisar replied

"I have done as you have commanded and gathered up all suspected communist sympathizers within serjo, they are currently being detained in the dungeons"

"Good, execute them all" Kaisar walked away before he could hear the servant's replied

"now ,what was I doing? Ah, yes the military orders" Within minutes Kaisar entered the war room, inside, huddled around a map of Yggdrasil were, around a dozen of serjo's top military commanders along with a few other commanders from serjo's allies.

"My lord we were expecting you" said commander khan, who was one of serjo's most experienced and revered generals.

"The council has spoken, they have ordered that we begin to prepare for possible war" Kaisar said

"Excellent" yelled commander Kain "we already have a plan for the militarisation and defense of serjo" As he said that. he pushed a piece of paper across the table to Kaisar, Kaisar picked it up and began to read.

"It's a simple plan," kaisar thought, basically, the plan was that serjo would begin expanding the army as well as converting a few of its automobile factories to weapon factories. At the end of the plan, there was a small sentence stating that several patrol ships would be sent out to secure the south serjoan sea as well as the coast.

Kaisar put the paper down and delivered his verdict

"approved"

The room erupted into cheers

Kaisar left the war room quickly.

As he walked away, he thought to himself, " The worst part about a war, is the wait"

Response to Serjo's Recent Actions - An Eye for an Eye

Postby Utopiaana » Thu Sep 08, 2016 7:48 am

The Supreme Leader of Utopiaana, Torleif Svaringshaug, has in response to Serjo's recent domestic actions stated that the execution of peaceful socialist-sympathizers is deeply regretful, and will have consequences.

Torleif Svaringshaug:
The news from Serjo is deeply regretful, and it make mes angry. As a response, we will also root out everyone that shares Serjo's views in this country, and execute those sympathetic to their cause. We will continue and strengthen our support for the socialist side. The Empire of Serjo is of little threat to our nation. Our armed forces is twice their size, and a move from them on us will be devastating for them.

Captain Virginia of the SRS Fast attack sub David had just woken up when an alarm siren went off declaring the successful launch of a homing missile. Virginia was surprised to hear this as her submarine was brand new so she ran as fast as she could to the bridge. "What is the situation I thought I had you put the torpedo bay on lockdown?" she said as she glanced at the screen tracking the rogue torp.

"We don't know all we know is a torpedo launched with out our input and the torpedo is on a collision course with the servo navy ship Goliath!" said the master at arms

"Break the radio silence we need to let them know now!" she said as she contacted the Goliath and said "Warning warning the Shadow republik submarine has had a fate error and has launched a homing torpedo at your ship take evasive maneuvers if you want to stay afloat!"

After she sent the message she ordered the David to surface to help any survivors if they didn't maneuver in time.

Gen.Renzia watching one of the factories work was visited by Her Majesty Haltz, while they both enjoyed talking over a few trivial matters, an advisor and messanger comes up to Haltz to deliver the news of what Serjo has done. Things do look grim and there was a slight feel of darkness in the air, while the factory cranked out artillery batteries . The debate began

"So...the Nation Serjo has decided to kill of its socialist sympathizers to ensure upmost loyalty....what utter foolishness has such the Kaiser has thought...." Said Queen Haltz

"Milady, because of that event, the advisors and people who support capitalism in our government and country is now beginning to turn anxious, thinking that the same fate will be upon the, sooner or later which will have cause for a rebellion"

The silence began and continued for a few minutes....the four watched the workers work from the high balcony then finally Renzia gives a suggestion

"Then why not kill the, it would be easier that way and it ensures complete loyalty...besides give a few of them to me as prisoners.....I would like to experiment......a few new things I have created upon them"

A few shocked looks but were quickly dispersed was on the advisor and messenger's face but then they realized she was the Renzia who likes to torture her prisoners...which is also one of the reasons for her downfall. With that they all look at Haltz and awaited her answer. She still continued to watch the workers create the ordnance weapons and weighed the consequences and benefits. She finally says

"I am not going to follow the savage actions of the leader of Serjo, these are the people who fought with us during the civil war, and these are the people who fought for us and their freedom.... And now suddenly we will just kill a few of them because they think differently of our views? No....we will not do that....it is also against our culture of the history of hospitality and our war torn country.....make assurances that they will live and not be sent like lambs to the slaughter"

"Yes milady"

With that the advisor and messanger left immediately

"Renzia....send more firepower to Major. Ruska's detachment defense....I feel a war is coming soon.....very soon"

"Yes my queen"

With that the queen left to return to the Palace.
Without war, what are we to become?
Without war, what will unite us?

Within the hours that had passed since the Empress' conference, a missive began making the rounds in all of the Consulates and Embassies of Yggdrasil. As ambassadors from Strindberg hurried to the offices of the rulers or representatives they conferred with, they passed them along to await their reactions.

The missive read:

FROM: The Foreign Office of Her Imperial Majesty, the Empress Regnant of Sternberg
TO: The Leaders and Governments of Yggdrasil

After consultation with the Legislative Assembly and Imperial Sternberg Defence Command, I am hereby declaring a state of non-aggression in regards to the rumors of brewing conflict within Yggdrasil's borders. In view of this policy, the ISDF will not actively engage in any aggressive actions against neighboring nations; they will remain on stand-by alert within home bases in case of any eventuality. We will also stand ready to lend any humanitarian, non-combatant aid requested of us by those in need.

However, pay heed well: if any armed forces or soldiers were to cross the borders of the Royal Imperium with the intent to disarm, disrupt or destroy our nation, this will be construed as an act of war and will be met with the harshest measures available to us. With this notice delivered to you, there will be no excuse accepted for such aggressive actions or posturing against our nation, so long as this non-aggression pact holds.

May Saint Helena watch over our region in this time of crisis.

Waters City Royal Gardens, Waters City, Watersville

Joseph sat in the large open air portion of the gardens that stood behind the royal palace front entrance. In the distance, he could hear the sound of children playing, unaware of the danger that seemed to be escalating across the region. He shook his head and stood. As he was not expecting company, he was wearing a business casual outfit consisting of a red and white polo tucked into a pair of knee length khakis with a belt and a pair of sandals. He was surprised to see his assistant coming out to tell him something. He quickly turned to the assistant. "How can I help you?" The aide bowed slightly before speaking, "Sir, the ambassador from Sternberg has requested to see you." Joseph looked down. "Very well. It is a beautiful day out, please send them to the garden patio and I will meet them there." The aide bowed again with a quiet "Very well, I will send them that way." Joseph turned to take a look out across the gardens before heading toward the patio.

Several minutes later

Joseph quickly strode up the steps to see a woman sitting at the twisted metal and glass patio table and quickly made his way over to her. She stood as she saw him approach, allowing himself to get a better look at the lady. She was around half a foot shorter than he was, which was probably 5' 7". She had longer dark brown hair that came down just past her shoulders and had a thinner build. She wore a baby blue sun dress that came up a third of the way up her upper legs. Joseph reached out his hand and shook hers before sitting down with her at the table. "Could I interest you in some tea?"

about 7 minutes later

After having a short discussion on what had been going on across the region and other major news events, the lady procured a letter which she read.

Joseph waited for the lady to finish the letter before speaking again. "Well, if it helps you to feel better, the nation of Watersville does not have an armed forces. We are, in fact, also planning to send in non-combatant humanitarian aid into any region that should become a war zone. I do thank you for your message and I hope that we can do this sometime soon again." With that, they shook hands again and they both went their separate ways.

Copy of a Letter to the Socialist Party of Yggdrasil

Postby Utopiaana » Fri Sep 09, 2016 6:16 am

Office of the Supreme Leader, Utopiaana

Dear members of the socialist party of Yggdrasil:

If Yggdrasil truly is a democratic region, as it claims to be, it should allow all opinions to be heard. Even those that are controversial, and which the majority of nations in our region are opposed to. Any political party that demonstrates their views peacefully, should be allowed to exist. We cannot pick and choose which parties should be allowed to exist or not without a good reason, for that is morally wrong. I am therefore convinced that Utopiaana is on the right side in this conflict.

We will continue our support to the socialist party, both in terms of money, equipment and personnel. I can assure you that Utopiaana will be supporting the socialist party until this conflict is resolved.

Sincerely,
Torleif Svaringshaug, Supreme Leader of Utopiaana

When Queen Haltz has returned to the hallways of the palace, she is greeted by a Shock troop with a salute, and with the trooper, an ambassador. The soldier tells Haltz of the ambassador's origins and his request for an audience but his reasons for him being here is kept by himself. Clearly Haltz wasn't expecting company...at least currently at the moment. Haltz examined the ambassador to see if he had any weapons that sticks out which could pose as a threat. The ambassador was quite tall about a few inches taller than Haltz who was 5"10, and wore a grayish-blue tie, with his hair neatly combed to one side, however no weapons were found. With that, She commanded the trooper to let him wait in one of the guest rooms until she is prepared.

A few minutes later

Haltz came into one of the guest rooms where the ambassador was waiting, she took a seat and asked him to take a seat as well.

"Would you like a piece of cake before we start? I do relish a good afternoon snack while discussing matters with another nation"

20 minutes later, after a few matters, current tensions, and some issues that were discussed with a few slices of cake on the side, the ambassador took out a letter from his pocket and spoke it to Haltz

With that, he finishes saying what was in the letter and waits. Haltz looked at the ambassador with a small smile and was thinking about Sternberg. A nation that proclaims neutrality but will mostly likely be dragged into it. Risk and rewards, consequence and benefits. A decision has been made.

"I see....well then let me be the one to assure you.......that my troops will not cross your nation's borders, as I respect all nations even ones oriented to capitalism. The nation that I lead is both hungry and sick of war, and we express no desire to drag others into the conflict."

As she finishes, both the ambassador and Haltz shook hands (but with Haltz bowing with respect to him)
"Your message is appreciated, and a letter of assurance is to be sent accordingly, do not worry about us for we do not want to be seen as enemies with nations who proclaim neutrality"

They both took their respects and so the ambassador leaves
Without war, what are we to become?

Dear Socialist Yggdrasilian

The Confederacy of Tamanian would like to remind you to show restraint. We would also like to remind you that destroying Yggdrasil in gigantic war is not in your or our best interests.
Despite being allied with the capitalists we will oppose any preemptive attacks proposed by our allies unless we are absolutely sure that we will come under attack. This does not mean we are not ready to defend ourselves our military is mobilized and on high alert.

Serjoan capital building
"The worst part about a war is the wait" just as Kaisar finished that thought, a servant bursted
through the door behind Kaisar

"My lord, the patrol ship goliath was just struck by a torpedo from a hidden submarine in the
south serjoan sea."  the servant yelled

"What!!!!"
Kaisar screamed

"I said tha"

"Slience! I heard you the first time, take me to the war room, NOW"

War room

"Whats the situation gentlemen?"
Kaisar asked

General Kain stood, "Well sir, the patrol ship in sector B7 known as, Goliath was just struck by a
torpedo from a hidden submarine and is rapidly taking in water. We have taken the liberty of
sending in two nearby patrol ships, to assist the Goliath. What are your next orders, sir?"
general Kain said

"Well, first pin down the location of the sub, then tell the two patrol ships to get a possible
boarding crew ready. Finally, If possible open radio communications with the sub, Understood?"
Kaisar said

"Yes sir"
Kain shouted

"This sub better not belong to who I think it does," Kaisar thought menacingly

Our Supreme Leader has said that Utopiaana will not fall into the naive strategy of thinking like your country's leaders. We are well aware of the fact that peace in Yggdrasil is at stake, but we will not be sitting idly by. Our massive, advanced military is ready to respond swiftly. We are monitoring the situation.

Joseph was concerned with everything that had suddenly come out over the past several hours. It appeared now that a Serjoan patrol ship had been hit by a missile from an unknown ship. Search and rescue operations were underway, with three Watersvillian cargo ships joining the search and rescue operations. A good thing that had come out was the formation of the Federative Council of Nations, which Watersville would most definitely support. Joseph now needed to write at least two letters to different world leaders.

From: The Royal House of Waters City and Watersville
To: The Empire of Valhyria,

As a nation of pacifists, we are pleased to hear of the creation of the Federative Council of Nations to combat the growing calls for war amongst the nations of Yggdrasil. We have found that in the past, working together to face a threat is the best way to solve the issues that face our region. We look forward to the creation of this organization and we hope that peace and prosperity can be kept in the region. We look forward to working together in the future.

We are distraught by the news of the sinking of the Goliath. We would like to offer you help in the form of three cargo ships that will help find any of those who survived this incident. We hope that this event does not escalate into a war, and we will also offer the opportunity to host conferences between your nation and the others involved should that be necessary. Again, we are sorry for your loss and we hope that we can assist you in recovering those who may still be alive.

Dear His Royal Highness Joseph Watters and members of the Federative Council of Nations,

Blessed be the Gods and their subjects.

Is it not obvious who the real enemies in this escalating conflict are? The real enemies are those that oppose democracy, and wants to silence those voices that are small and controversial. The real enemies are the capitalist nations of Yggdrasil, that by the use of force, wants to impose their views on other nations by denying the socialist party of Yggdrasil party their right to exist. We may not agree with the socialist party itself on all issues, but we must allow all minorities and movements to be heard in a so called "democracy". This outrageous hypocrisy needs to be put an end to immediately.
