TitanRise hit Doardija, the Capital City of Delusija, about a mile east of the historic centre. The ballistic impacter hit and pierced right through the newest building in the city, the Narodnije Mash'na Central Bureau, and wedged itself deeply into the subway, spewing fire along its descent.
The effect were that of a nuclear blast very close to the surface: the building was vapourized almost instantly, and a volcano of debris flew high into the air.
The shockwave alone was able to destroy all the surrounding district, breaking buildings into tiny shards and crunching buses and train consists as they were tin cans in the hands of a muscular bully.
A thick rain of rocks, bricks and molten metal stiffeners cleared the hill right west of the factory and poured on the Parliament, the Government buildings, and the old city of Doardija.

PUBLIC STATEMENT FROM EUGIN MAERTZ, PREMIER AND HEAD OF THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS OF DELUSIJA, AND ANTON SHRAPNELIN; MINISTER OF DEFENCE AND FOREIGN AFFAIRS

E. M.: Comerades of Delusija and allies, I speak from a secure location, after my official suggested me and my colleagues to evacuate the city a few days ago.
Today the compound of criminals known as Hetrica has launched an attack from the sky upon our beloved city of Doardija. The weapon known as TitanRise has struck the city, pulverizing the offices of Narodnije Mash'na and de facto destroying the entire eastern district. The canal has been ruptured in several points, flooding the city up to Narodnije Namjestij. Gas lines have broken, engorging the city in fires. Thanks to our prudence, civilian casualties have been contained, bu nontheless over 500 people died in Doardija's Children Hostpital, where most patients in dire conditions could not be evacuated and some brave Medics and Nurses had chosen to remain and assist them.
About 100 infantry soldiers and 200 police officers have lost their lives while attempting to secure the last people left behind, along with the content of our National Museum. Most of our heritage is lost.
The beautiful forts and ancient churches, dating back 1450 years have been obliterated, and only the foundation are barely visible on the forsaken ground.
Current estimates of the damages range around 100,000,000,000 Del'kas, and this is the most optimistic figure yet.
We have been hit right through the heart. Now, a word from my colleague Anton Shrapnelin.

I regret deeply having to say this, but for now on, every city has to be evacuated; I encourage the good people of Delusija, who live in the country, to accept in their households their Comerades from the city. From now on, marshal law is enacted; the timetable and terms of the curfew will be communicated shortly. Please stand by.

The cruiser signaled via semaphore to the other ships.

"New Orders: retreat from the archipelago and reunite with task force B. Then head towards the ULS fleet, and prepare for an attack towards Hetrica. Task force C will set sail in 24h. Please stand by."


Novaja Kaliningrad AFB, Delusija

Seven Tu-160 Blackjack bombers, five Vc-10 tankers, fourteen Su-27M fighters, and fourteen J-8 interceptors took off from the base.
Within the bomb bays of the bombers, thermobaric cruise missiles had been loaded and armed. In the cockpits, maps of Hetrica and the estimated positions of the launch sites of TitanRise. The time of vengeance was near.

200 miles NW of Tula

The Borej Class Submarine Kovarnij was ordered to reach launch depth. The Captain shivered, since the had not a single conventional warhead on board. The shadow of a nuclear attack was near.

“Commander, there are two unidentified airborne bodies moving towards Union territories with great speed.”
“Working theory?” the commander snapped. It had been a long day and having his day ruined by a stray plane was not very high on his to-do list.
“It has been hailed by stations in Wadije and Skuyplanine but it is coming in too fast for an aeroplane, commander. By all means, it is coming in too fast for a-” the duty officer got no further as proximity alarms began to wail, “-a conventional weapon. It is coming from too far up in the atmosphere, like our own H/7-9 missiles...”
“By all... signal all emplacements, the Union is under attack!” the commanding officer was already half way through the door, rushing out of the observation deck: “Scramble all fighters! Now!”

“Scramble” a cool, crisp female voice echoed through the air force base to the south of Momele.

“... all citizens to retreat to safety rooms immediately.” The civil defence measures had been put into place soon after the Carlistinian war and were activated immediately. Klaxons were sounding with emergency orders, sirens were dipping and rising throughout the states.

“Scramble” it managed to momentarily drown out the noise of planes being readied by the ground crews and taxiing towards the broad runway, the sirens howling their hellish tune, the clank of boots as pilots ran towards their machines. “Scramble”, they sprang through the corridors. They were moving like hell itself had broken loose behind them and bolted towards the hangar bays.

“I repeat: we are broadcasting to urge all citizens to retreat to safety rooms immediately. Evacuation of all workspaces and schools is commencing, retreat to safety immediately.” Nobody had expected an attack so soon but none were strangers to the alarms. School children had been drilled to evacuate the ground levels and file into shelters from the time they could walk.

“Scramble”, the flight control quarters could not have been more chaotic if a missile had blown up inside it, a cacophony of shouts and a din of unimaginable proportions solely from conversation being made not only face-to-face but over the telephone.

“Do not remain in your homes and stay away from public areas excluding public air raid shelters.”

“Scramble”, the first jets were in the air, taking an immediate course of interception, taking them towards the unidentified objects.

“I repeat: we are-”

“Scramble”, all the ground personnel could do was watch. Helpless. Powerless.
“Attention all units, screen missiles on set... fire!”

The defence forces would try to deter the missiles, shoot them down, valiantly crash into them but the bodies were fast and the defences not prepared.

By the time the attack had proceeded past the Union's borders, gas and electricity had been switched off in all major cities.

“A barbaric attack shook the cities of Villi Kapitili and Verenenburg earlier today.

Hetrican missiles had targeted the two cities of purely civilian infrastructures and claimed the lives of many enjoying the beautiful weather, hitting especially hard the tourist population in Verenenburg.

The VoKom for Population Security told OSN that Verenenburg had had a lot less time to prepare and casualty numbers as high as eight hundred people, largely tourists are to be expected while the Villi Kapitili, having a large amount of public shelters and emergency protocols has less losses of life to grieve for.

While current estimates are of nine hundred dead, the number may go up to five thousand, a spokesperson said and the Obli News Service will report as more insight is shown.

We hold now a moment of silence in grief for those we lost and solidarity to those which have lost loved ones in the Union but also Delusija.”

You say you want peace-but right now, the best way to have peace is to declare a ceasefire in Unnamedland. We know you may not be able to stop the Hetrican troops there, but you can at least make your own troops retreat. Hetrica has killed tens of millions of innocent citizens worldwide just because their governments wanted to help Unnamedland take back rightfully Unnamedlandian territory, just because they wanted to stop Hetricans from murdering Unnamedlandian citizens. The least you can do is to make your troops retreat, and to enforce sanctions on Hetrica-and Dexaliano, if they do not pull out their troops in Unnamedland. We (The rest of the coalition) will be able to deal with the remaining troops.

At first, you could still watch the news. "Another Unnamedlandian city has been hit..."
Now, most Unnamedlandian news networks are no longer functioning. The 23 most populated Unnamedlandian cities have all been hit, one by one. 11 more have been evacuated due to the virus, or due to fears of another missiles. By now, the Hetricans are no longer hitting the abandoned cities-instead, they have been targeting major aid camps, where hundreds of thousands of Unnamedlandians have been evacuated. Several thousand have been evacuated into cramped Unnamedlandian underground military base bunkers-which would otherwise be empty, because most of the Unnamedlandian military is either fighting or dead. There have been no new speeches coming out of the bunkers-now, security concerns are too big-Unnamedlandian engineers havefound that the the TitanRise weapon is a very effective "bunker buster", and Hetricans could probably track the source of a broadcasted speech.

Four dozen planes took off, on what seemed to be a routine bombing mission. But concealed among them were several transport helicopters. A few hours later, the planes would (hopefully) arrive at the Palace in Sjmick. Then, the "assassination of a nation" would begin... (OOC: I'm referring to the plan that I talked about earlier about paradropping troops at the former Presidential Palace.

Delusijan Strike Force Alpha, closing in on Hetrica, in range within 150 minutes

Head of formation to wingmen: we are closing in on Hetrica. In about two hours and a half we will be close enough to fire our missiles. Expect fierce resistance from enemy forces. If approached from unknown aicrafts, you are cleared to fire, provided confirmation from your Friend/Foe systems. Beware, a group of aircrafts is coming in from Unnamedland, with some of our own birds for company. Arm your weapons, ready to fire!

Message from General Pushtojevskij to Allied Forces:

We are sending an encrypted message containing the computed location of TitanRise launch sites. We have already launched a strike, and we will receive results within the next four hours. If you are able to, please engage those sites with any suitable force. TitanRise must be destroyed with extreme prejudice. If you have any meaningful intelligence to share, please advise.

250 miles NW of Tula

The Borej class submarine Kovarnij waited for the outcome of the mission against Hetrica. Their relatively long distance from Hetrican forces provided some cover for the time being. The Captain crossed his fingers, hoping that the attack with conventional weapons would have been successful.
The low frequency messages have been frightfully silent for quite a while, since the last order.

The 24 Unnamedlandian aircraft and the 10 transport helicopters slowly approached Hetrica, now being joined by the 16 Delusijan planes taking off from aircraft carriers.
"U-AWACS One. Approaching medium-range missile radius. Waiting for Contingent 09."
Contingent 09 referred to the Vietnamese and Letwinist forces that still weren't showing up yet. It was decided that the forces would wait for a while so that reinforcements would catch up. However, they couldn't stay too long or else the Hetricans would figure out what was going on.

Inside of the helicopters, most of the troops were trying to not be nervous. The troops would be required to wear gas masks and suits just in case they were attacked by infected Hetricans, and they would be close to the Palace that any Hetrican missile strike on them would also kill...basically all of the Hetrican government. And, these were trained, professional,elite troops.

Still, there were so many things that could go wrong. They might be facing thousands of Hetrican militia soldiers-although airstrikes would probably wipe out some of them, and one of the professional troops could probably face 3 of them without breaking a sweat.

Some of the older troops compared the experience to the Salazarstani War 20 years ago, or the peacekeeping operations in The Court. Other troops thought of their families back home, waiting for them...for a few of them, this was revenge-everyone back home had been killed by a missile strike while they were in a military base. A few more thought about the meaning of life.

Soon, the attack would begin. Soon...

Hetrican Presidential Palace
The Admiral stood in front of the twenty or so people in the room. They had just spent the last couple of hours arguing. Taking a swig of the expensive bottle of wine he said "alright, so we agree. I will be taken away by the Unnamedland bastards, Dexalian forces march in, taking control of Hetrica." The Dexalian General nodded "We fire our strongest nuke on the Randominican Archipelago, not anything else. I officially surrender once I arrive at Unnamedland, Dexaliano ensures no more damage is done in Hetrica, and takes control of PT-20. We go through the process of killing all the war criminals, rebuilding what nonsense and Dexaliano creates a democratic government. We all got that?" Everyone nodded. The admiral smiled and said "good, Hetrica is in safe hands. This damned war will end. Let's do as much damage as possible." He creaked up laughing.

"Commander! We have been given orders to raze the city to the ground!" The commander turned to the radio operator and said "then do so, burn this city to the ground" Then troops started massacring all in sight, setting fires to buildings and detonating explosives. They were doing immense amounts of damage, causing skyscrapers to collapse. Killing thousands, by the end of the day the city was almost turned to rubble. Then, they set up their last stand in the rubble. Waiting for an Unnamedland attack. As a sizeable unnamed forced approached they opened fire, they're mission was to do as much damage as possible. Although many deserted and fled the few who stayed put up a fight, they held out. The commander looked at his watch and said to himself "and now the admiral shall be taken"

Vietnam's military showed up to assist Unnamedland

After 2 hours, 13 HS-12 fighters and 3 TS-78 bombers have shown up and picked up communication and navigation signals of Unnamedland and Delusijan's aerial vehicles. Vietnam's commander, Mr.Nguyễn Văn Long identified his force to Unnamedland as Contingent 09. Vietnamesemian fighters and bombers took up from 3 Namirico-class carriers that position near Unnamedland military base.

Fighters and bombers of Vietnam approached Unnamedland and Delusijan's force at 07:00am and are currently 280 miles from Sjmick. Fighters fly in a sphere formation around Unnamedlandian helicopters to help protect the helicopters from being attacked by Hetrica's air force. Bombers patrol around to search for suspect activities from Hetrica and quickly retaliate if somethings happen.

Vietnam-Unnamedland-Delusijan coalition is currently awaiting for Letwinist force to show up and monitoring all radio signals from both Hetrica and allied force.

Vietnam's force is currently turning on many radar instruments to scan the terrains and search for enemy's planes and missiles. All troops are wearing Special Environment Tactical Suit (SETS) to help protect themselves from chemical or biological weapon attacks from Hetrica when land on the target.

Before take off, all soldiers of Vietnam have said goodbye to their family, some of them have actually cried due to the fear that they would not able to return to their home. The attack was monitored from the Central Operation Room (COR) in Saigon by General John Long, President Hà Phi Hùng and another high-rank government officials, the event is being recorded to be released to the public later on.

“Approaching swiftly comrade admiral, we should start hailing the allied forces now.”

“Ah, yes, thank you, comrade”, rear-admiral Sispentai had been woken with the dramatic news from home to find that they had made good time and were ready to formally establish contact with the Vietnamese forces which had arrived to bolster the Delusijan fleet. He sat up as he nodded to the communications officer standing beside him. No-one had dared to attack the Letwinist States in such a barbaric way for many years and he had been able to sense the shock which the commanders of the home front had been fighting down as they communicated the terrible happenings to the fleet on their way to make Hetrica pay dearly for this act of cowardice. Sispentai smiled. A tight, wolfish smile. The retaliation would come, whatever the cost.

“Attention! Delusijan, Unnamedland and Vietnamese forces, being hailed by the VKMS Putsep Taja of the People's Union of Letwinist States.
We are approaching your position and will launch aerial craft to make contact of sight shortly. Be advised that we will bolster the defensive position of the combined forces and be of assistance in any way possible.”

The Hetricans would pay.

“All systems ready signal ready, confirm.” The last preparations for the launch of six “Rosa Luxemburg” ICBMs were under way as the first act in a conflict of vengeance and payback for Letwinist lives.

“Targeting here, navigation has courses for Sjmick and Kiloshma plotted. We expect to severely damage the Hetrican presidential palace, military emplacements in the capital and the commercial harbour facilities in Kiloshma. Standing by.”

“Armaments here, all missiles primed and ready for detonation. Standing by.”

One by one, the confirmations came in from the various battle stations and the order to fire was given. In groups of three, the missiles gracefully ascended into the morning blue of the lighting sky and veered off on their courses for Hetrica.

Time: 0500 Location: 12,000 feet above Sjmick

"This is U-AWACS One. We are over the Palace. Coalition forces, permission to airdrop troops granted. The Letwinist ships should distract the Hetricans for a while.

The Unnamedlandian troops assembled at the doors of their helicopters. One by one, the troops parachuted down towards the large square in front of the Presidential Palace. So far, there hadn't been any Hetrican aircraft resisting them-was this a trap? If it was, it was too late to turn back...The first Unnnamedlandian troops had already arrived, in front of the massive, imposing, Presidential Palace.

Meanwhile, Unnamedlandian troops back home were unable to handle the waves and waves of Hetrican troops headed towards them-the Unnamedlandian army was poorly trained and not meant for a Hetrican invasion. Fortunately, the combination of Unnamedlandian missile strikes and coalition troop attacks were holding the Hetricans back. However, thousands of Unnamedlandians had already been killed by Hetrican troops.
But the Hetrican troops had problems of their own. The burning city was filled with angry Unnamedlandian citizens,and some of them had formed militias and were trying to fight back.

Meeting of the Archons, somewhere outside of Arcesius

"...we have waited long enough for any update on the situation of our delegation at Noralia. We have no choice but to assume that Branduse and her entourage affected by the attack in the Southern Mansion are all dead," Monarch Phlegomy spoke as all of the Archons: the Monarch, Triarchs, Heptarchs, and Nonarchs discussed the Hetrican matter and how should Diarcesia respond.

"And because this can be traced to the General Hetrican, it is considered an act of aggression of Hetrica against the Monarchy. This means that..."

Phlegomy gestured to Triarch Gideon, who presided on the planning of the next actions Diarcesia would take, "...That while we will not officially declare war on Hetrica, Diarcesia will pronounce the General Hetrican as Marked for Justice. With the distances involved and the fact we have no involvement whatsoever on the petty squabbles between Unnamedland and Hetrica and within the Order of Southern North at large, it doesn't warrant sending forces expeditionary and the like. However, we have received Unnamedland's communication for help in infiltrating the Government Hetrican. And so, with a portion of the military already willing to take part, we would aim to capture the General alive and bring him to a trial that would be visible to the whole international community. His actions have shown that he is a danger most grave that knows no creed, knows no ideology, and knows no bounds."

Triarch Hady asked a clarifying question to Triarch Gideon, "And what would be the response from Hetrica if they learned of this?".

"We've seen the damage done to Unnamedland by the weapons infernal that Hetrica shot from land and from space. We are ready. They shouldn't be able to invade because of the distance factor, but we don't underestimate their missiles. Heptarch Adrast has confirmed that appropriate defenses are set up in case things go sour." Gideon replied.

"So... that's settled then. A commando unit should assist the Unnamedlandians on their mission. Let the corresponding encrypted communication be sent...," the Monarch concluded.

We have decided to send an elite commando unit to assist in your Hetrican infiltration mission, even though this is belated. Please respond with the mission's current state, and how our forces can fit into your plan. Our goal is to capture the General Hetrican and bring him to trial.

Time: 0515 Location: Sjmick

The Unnamedlandian troops began to exchange gunfire with the guards at the main gate, who had noticed them and were now moving towards the soldiers. Meanwhile, more troops moved west. A few Hetrican snipers fired at the troops and the soldiers had to attempt to disable a line of mines in the middle of the road, but there wasn't as much resistance as expected. Soon, the soldiers captured the first floor of the apartment and began converting it into a HQ. A few gunshots came down the stairs, and guards were posted next to the stairs just in case a surprise attack came from the second floor. Meanwhile, more Unnamedlandian troops marched out of the apartment to the left side of the Presidential Palace, killing the guards there and then blowing up the fence around the area. The plan was going well so far. All they needed now was support from the other nations. (The Diarcesians were only half an hour late, but in military operations as complicated as this, half an hour could make a big difference.)

Meanwhile, most of Unnamedland is still in chaos. Hetrican troops are destroying everything they can destroy, and two-thirds of Unnamedland's population is currently in aid camps. Conditions there are terrible and although the original epidemic of the Hetrican virus has ended, local outbreaks are still occuring in the aid camps due to terrible hygiene. Meanwhile, there have been rumors of a military coup, or some kind of rebellion...or...something. Within a month Unnamedland has went from one of the richest countries in the world to one of the poorest countries in the world.

OFFICIAL OP ANNOUNCEMENT: There has been a lot of confusion over Hetrica recently. There have been people saying that there was a car crash, but the official report from The Radiant says that Dexaliano started these false rumors in order to cover up the fact he and Hetrica were the same person using different accounts. (There is no official rule against this in RP's, but generally using two accounts in the same RP without telling the OP is frowned on.) Because of this, Hetrica has been inactive. I myself have no idea what is going on, so I can't say anything for sure yet. However, this explains Hetrica's sudden inactivity.
