December 12, 1891 (1892? What is the year!)
The BAD-1 Falcon slowly descended onto the lawn of the Republican Palace, the Lug Aviateurs connecting the ship to the mooring tower on the lawn.
A plank was sent out from the Airship onto the small Airship Boarding Platform, and Directeur Henry stepped off, following by the Manticoran Delegation and the Guards.

Henry lead the way for the Delegation, the Republikeinse Gardesmaans stood at attention at their positions around the Palace. A squad of them patrolled the front lawn, a German Shepard patrolling with them. The men all carried the new Ryder MK3 Rifles, and some also carried the Winchester M1890 Shotguns.
On the roof, Gardesmaan Snipers watched over the area. NAD Agents sat in cafe's and other non descript spots around the Palace.
Two Gardsmaans opened the front door for the Delegation, and Henry once more led them inside.
Directeur Henry: Here we are, if you could please ask your Guardsmen to stand outside, you are allowed 2 Guards to enter the Summit hall.

Adrian elected to leave all ten at the door, withdrawing his broomhandle pistol from his Sam Browne belt, ensuring it was loaded, and returned it to his holster. Catherine and the other members of the delegation followed suit.

The Traansval wrote:The Manticoran Empire wrote:General Sir Godfrey looked at the telegram and swore loudly. Admiral Hughes and Admiral Rhodes looked at him and Hughes immediately asked, "Milord? What happened?" Godfrey practically punched Hughes as he thrust the telegram at him. "The fucking ROMANS have attacked the Boer colony on Solitude Island. WHICH, coincidentally, is practically in the middle of the Tamir Continent."
Hughes and Rhodes gawked at him and Rhodes even blustered, "We'd have to practically invade half the Roman Empire to safely make it there."
Godfrey nodded and said, "I'm well aware of that and, to make matters worse, we don't have the same forces we used to. Most of our armor has been sent to Afrikaan for that war with Eodor and most of our Motor Rifle units went with them. We're stuck with infantry and militia."
Hughes and Rhodes sat down and Rhodes buried his head in his hands. Hughes looked at the map of the region that was on the coffee table and said, "This may seem cold but I think we have to abandon them to their fate. We simply CAN'T afford to go to their aid. We don't have the manpower or the ships. I'm sorry but we simply can't do it." Rhodes barked, "ARE YOU MAD? We should abandon our allies? We need to go to their aid as much as possible!"
The two argued back in forth while Godfrey looked through his records, trying to determine what he could do. Hammer of the Gods was still present and he had received several more in recent months. Perhaps they could be put to good use by providing overhead fire support and resupply. But then there was the problem of time. Rome could provide more troops than he could and they could do it faster. "Milords, quiet. Admiral Hughes is right. We simply can't do it. By the time we get there, they will have fallen. It is unfeasible."To: Kolonel Gaadaai
From: General Sir Godfrey
I deeply apologize, sir, but we will be unable to provide aid. We are simply too far away to render aid in a timely fashion.
Kolonel Gaadaafi looked at the telegram and swore. He expected the reply, the colony was in the middle of Tamir, its only access was the River which was completely controlled by Rome. Going into this, everyone knew that if the Romans attacked there would be no support. Looks like they'd just have to give it their best, and make the Romans pay in blood for Solitude.
Kolonel Gaadaafi: I WANT MATCHSTICKS IN THOSE HOWITZERS, BURN THE FUCKERS!
The howitzers began loading Matchstick Shells into the guns, and fired on the Romans, hitting them with splotches of hot burning tar-like petrol.

"Oh Cali. So glad you could make it. Cone with me. Nikolai!" Oswyn said as he directed Cali to a room. Nikolai appeared and was confused at what he saw.
"Oh son good. Listen make sure Cali here is dressed properly. Give him one him one of your suits please. I need to head back." Oswyn left, Cali was observing the rooms gallantly designs and he was curious at a stuffed bird. He then hrabbed his machete and tried cutting it up.
Nikolai ran to him and stopped him. "Wouh wouh Cali. Come with me." He took the blade and set it aside. He began to look for a proper suit. He found it.
"This will sooth you nice." He handed ot to Cali. He helped him get dressed and even trimmed his facial hair to look more proper.
Cali was now in full attire typical of a true Arenginian gentlemen.
"There. You can keep it. First thing you shall learn about us Arenginian Cali is that we take care of our friends." Nikolai chuckled. Melissa then entered the room wearing a red dress.
"Nikolai the dance is about to star-" She then noticed the Halium leader. She bowed in accordance to etiquette. "Nice to meet you sir"
Cali simply stood silent without knowing what to do. Nikolai then made a motiom of bowing down as well. Cali followed.
"Very well. Come Cali, we shall introduce you to the others"

Nikolai sighed but left Cali to carry his machete. At least he was properly dressed. They soon arrived at the leaders table. Oswyn in the middle, Allen in the right, and the Skarten Tsar in the left. Cali was seated right in Allen's side.
"So Lord Merui. How are things in Halium?" Oswyn asked.

"Better than they once were, but still pretty bad, most of the countries around me have some stake in the land I have now, and my army is severely outdated. On top of that, riots happen almost daily and my ecnomies in shambles, although I'm getting much better in that regard."

News had broke out that the traditionalists in Rannoria had revolted. They were around 70,000 strong, with an army mostly consisting of elite swordsmen and bowmen. Grand Tyron Gren had sent a small force relieved from the Eodorian border to swoop down, but as they did so, communists revolted as well. The communists had a force of 650,000 in total. Though not the best, they still had guns and numbers. The republican forces broke off into two armies. One that continued south, and another that fought on against the communists. Maestoso Mios Askwell issued under Supreme Rannoire Edict that the armies in Sylbania be recalled into home, and it would take them a while. The Great Trenches of God still held up, along with the Maxtopian border. But soon, another revolt started. Religious Batalurp monks had risen up around several provinces. Hordes of them. Well trained and in difficult terrain, it would be hard for the republic to attack them. No worry, though, the Rannorian army had more in numbers and was more modernized... but was that good? Finally, high ranking military officials had been found dead, picked off individually. Some tried to flee, but died on the way out. Others either made it out or continued their post.

Kolonel Gaadaafi: Men! Form up!
The 20,000 Vloot-Voetvolk Soldiers formed up just outside the city walls, and moved forwards into the Trenches just outside the city.
Machine Guns were set up along the Trench Walls, ready for the in coming Roman Assault. Mortars inside the trenches began to fire shells at the enemy encampment. Field Guns were being wheeled into position, firing at their ranks.
Meanwhile, at sea, the BNS Seal, a Submersible, was making quick work of the Roman Fleets. The Romans, already in expeierenced when it came to naval power, were startled by the mysterious Torpedos that seemed to be fired from nowhere.
The Seal spotted the hull of one of the Roman Transports, which ferried troops back and forth across the water. The Seal took aim and fired, ripping a whole in the ships lower hull.
Above Water, 5 East Empire Company Gunboats (Commerical Steamers armed with naval cannons) were attacking the enemy navy with signature Boer Hit and Run tactics. While the Romans had better guns than the Gunboats, the Gunboats were more maneuverable and fast than the large battle cruisers of the Roman Fleet.
That didn't work for the EECS Artemis, as she was hit by a Roman Naval Cannon and immediately burst into flames. Those survivors of her crew swam to shore, and gathered up their rifles and joined the Vloot-Voetvolk troops.

That didn't work for the EECS Artemis, as she was hit by a Roman Naval Cannon and immediately burst into flames. Those survivors of her crew swam to shore, and gathered up their rifles and joined the Vloot-Voetvolk troops.
The Roman artillery continued to shell the Boer forces as the six legions, some 32,502 men strong, took their positions in the trenches. They were joined by a roughly equal number of auxiliary troops. 500 yards behind their trenches were the field guns, about 720 of them (the auxiliaries had brought some, as well), dug into their own earthen redoubts, capable of delivering withering fire against the enemy. Nearly 10 miles further back were the Howitzers, dug into their own earthen redoubts and firing shrapnel and high explosive shells. And, hidden behind the guns, Rome's newest weapons: the Landships. They would break the Boer lines and the infantry would be right behind them.
The Boer submersible couldn't stay down forever and, eventually, her batteries were so depleted she was forced to surface and it was there that the Roman gun crews wreaked their hellish revenge upon her. They shelled the Seal even after she had gone under. And it was at that point that Classis Ravennas arrived, brining with it modern warships and experienced crews. The remaining four gunboats did not last very long and the reinforcements knew a thing or two about Naval warfare and they had lain mines in the channel behind them. The Boers were now trapped, with Roman territory all around them.
The naval guns joined the land batteries in shelling the colony and the Romans even sent Naval Infantry of their own towards the Boer trenches. As the Roman Naval Infantry neared the shore, the Roman Landships crossed the Roman trenches, all guns blazing. The Roman infantry surged from their trenches and followed behind the monsters. With howitzers and naval guns still firing at the Boers, they were helpless against the attack. If they dared to stick their head up to load, aim, and fire their field guns, they would be shot by a rifle, a machine gun, a cannon, or shredded by shrapnel. Indeed, they were liable to die the same way no matter what they did. The Romans outnumbered them now nearly 5 to 1 and had significantly more firepower and were attacking from all directions. The Vloot-Voetvolk would all perish. It was only a matter of how painful that death was going to be.

Adrian started to rise but was beaten to the punch by Catherine. Adrian covered it up as a coughing fit. "Apologies," he said, "I am not a young man anymore." Catherine spoke strongly, "Let it be made quite clear to all who are present today. This decision to render military aid to The Twelve Isles WILL set the precedent for how other nations deal with us. If they see us as a strong, united front, willing to go through Hell and back for an ally, they will be less inclined to choose violence over diplomacy when dealing with us. However, if they see us as a divided conglomeration that can't find its ass with both hands, then they will pick us off one by one until none of us remain. We MUST present a strong and united front, regardless of our internal differences. As far as the world is concerned, we are of one mind: the protection of each other at all costs. The Manticoran Empire will go to the aid of The Twelve Isles and calls on all members of the Alliance to do the same."
