End fo the Morvern-Arengin War, Part 2

Postby Arengin Union » Fri Feb 10, 2017 6:43 pm

Sheerwind Province.
Al-Morvern

Sheerwind was mostly dry grasslands and some areas of woods close to the coast. Several cities were present in the coast as well. The Arenginian navy had done good job at chasing the Morvern Naval forces away and had moved to blockade most of the Morverian coast. This gave the Arenginian army an advantage as it was now able to move supplies more quickly.

The Arenginian army moved on to battle the Morverians in three battles over this province. The first was the battle of of the Manahgs Forrest. It was a bloody open field battle between the Morverian 2nd and 4th armies and the Arenginian 3rd 5th and 7th divisions around these areas. The forest were not extensive, for the most part it was all grasslands. The Morverians tried to face the Arenginian divisions head on, with both Arab armies charging at the Arenginian 7th division near the Euprahos river, the Arenginians were exposed and could not mount a proper defense. This forced the Arenginians to retreat and lose several men while at it.

The Morverians were able to have a morale boost to this only for them to be crushed momentarily as the 7th division was able to retreat as the 9th and 1st cavalry divisions arrived. The Morverians were taken by surprised by over 40,000 Cavalry men who quickly charged at them as the 3rd and 5th divisions advanced to clear out the rest.

The Morverians were killed by the hundreds, the Cavalrymen lost men but their casualties were minimal as they quickly went back into formation to surround the Morverian army. The 5th and 3rd divisions began to chase the Arabs away, killing thousands in the process and finally capturing what little remained of the Morverian 2nd and 4th armies. Over 90,000 prisoners were taken, while the rest of the Arabs were killed or managed to escape back to the Capital.

3rd and 5th divisions chase off the Morvern armies.

The two last battles before the Arenginians were able to move into Constantinople was the battles of the Bagdum hills and the battle of the Akashmir pass.

The battle of Bagdum was the last major attempt of the Morvern armies to do an offensive and attempt to drive the Arenginians out of Morvern. In a surprise attack the Morverians send in everything they could spare in a dire attempt to break the Arenginians. The 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th managed to break through the Arenginians lines, this came to total surprise as the Arenginians were resting and did not expect a Morverian attack, sepcially around the Bagdum area, which was surrounded by small villages and bridges.

The Morvern armies totalled about 800,000 outnumbering the 500,000 Arenginian soldiers of the 6th and 8th armies. The Arenginians suffered heavy casualties and despite trying to hold back the Morverians they were driven back at least 3 miles. The Morverian 9th army managed the impossible in breaking the Arenginian lines and were used as propaganda for the Morverian army.

The 9th army marched gloriously as it caused a bulge on the Arenginian lines and it started to spread out and attack the retreating Arenginians.

General Gennadiyevich knowing the Morverians were trying to do a pincer movement on his remaining lines decided to arrive to the battlefield personally and led his men who were starting to be demoralized. He rode with courage as he rallied all his men. The word was spread around the lines and so the morale rose and soon the Arenginians began to fight back and hold their ground.

The fighting was brutal and neither side seem to be willing to give up the fight. Eventually however the Morverians were outmaneuvered as the 9th and 10th Morvern armies that had led the breakthrough were flanked from their sides of the bulge they had made which was poorly defended. The two armies were cut and surrounded, eventually they surrendered.

The Arenginians used the Morverians own breakthrough and charged to trap the remaining Morverian armies, whose leaders in frantic confusion ordered a full scale retreat. They didn't count in the Arenginian cavalry moving ahead of the infantry in full speed to cut the Morverians retreat.

General Gennadiyevich leads his men on to battle the Morverians.

General Gennadiyevich ordered the final push onto the capital and so over 300,000 Arenginian soldiers moved in to advance to Constantinople with caution as the remaining Morverian armies ran away, unknown to them that the Arenginian cavalry would cut them off from reinforcing Constantinople.

General Gennadiyevich was wounded in his leg during the battle, he was forced to remained behind the battlefield and lead from a distance. He wrote on his diaries and to his wife quite often.

My dear Anna, we have accomplished much during the last months, driving away the Arabs from our home. Though it pains me to see so many dead compatriots and enemy soldiers as well. They are men like us, men who follow their orders at the best of their abilities and are scarred, frightened and in constant demoralization. I asked a captured officer about the state of the Morvern army, he didn't look at me or even try to lie. "Tired." He said.

I hope to end this was as soon as it can be ended, no more blood should be shed by both sides after this. I hope to see you soon my love, I think of you every day and dream of you in my sleep. Think of me while I'm here and pray for my safe return.

Your love, Zhivenkov

Letter written by General Zhivenkov Korney Gennadiyevich to his wife Anna Gennadiyevich.

I foul the smell of the dead. The smoke around the battlefield and the constant yelling I must do to guide my men to victory. I envy those who have never known the truths of war, it is no child play. The smell is something you never truly become accustomed to. I'm tired of this war, I wish to end it and go back to my homeland, to have every brave soldier here go back. To see our wives and children.

My leg is hurting, I can't gallop like I use to. And I feel like I've aged 20 years since I began this bloody war.

I must end this war for the love of god. I hope the Morverians surrender Constantinople with no resistance. I pray they will.

Diary entry by General Zhivenkov Korney Gennadiyevich.

Image
General Gennadiyevich commands his army on to Constantinople after defeating the Morvern Bagdum offensive.

The Battle of Akashmir was more or less a big skirmish, however it was still regarded as a decisive battle between the retreating Morverian armies and the Arenginian cavalry.

The remnants of the Bagdum offensive, the 5th, 7th, and 8th armies demoralized and beaten began to retreat to Constantinople where they knew they would be needed. To avoid the Arenginian forces advancing northeast of them onto Constantinople they used the Akashmir pass, a series of mountains around a big natural bridge close to grasslands that lead to Constantinople to the south.

The 1st and 9th cavalry divisions supported by the 6th army's 3rd division cut the Morverns from the east and west on their route to the capital. Using the same maps the Morverians had left behind the Arenginians had been able to more easily defeat the Morvern for this reason. And this would be no exception.

The 3rd division blocked the Morverians retreat from the pass as the 1st and 9th cavalry's attacked from the west. Both sides engaged in fierce fighting but the cavalry despite losing many men was able to spread out the Morverians and kill hundreds of them. The 3rd division blocking the only access of retreat despite being outnumbered was able to repel any attack by the Morverians by using machine guns and quick rifle fire patterns from different directions.

Eventually despite the officers orders the Morverians began surrendering in masses. The battle ended as quick as it began. With the 60,000 Arenginians taking over 300,000 Prisoners.

Image

Image
The Arenginian Cavalry manages to spread out the Morvern army and leave it more exposed.

The only thing that would now end the war would be either the Arenginians took Constantinople by force or the Morverians capitulated. General Gennadiyevich send a message to the Morverian leadership as his forces began to set around the city, blocking all areas of escape.

From: General Zhivenkov Korney Gennadiyevich
To: Morverian Leadership

I offer to put an end to the bloodshed. I do not wish to take the city by force, but I will if I must. Save your people anymore pain and surrender the city. You will be treated humanely and talks for peace will follow. You have my word. His majesty King Alexander Oswyn has given me the authority to work a treaty to a lasting peace.

I set my conditions again. Surrender immediately and open up talks for peace. Or we will take the city by force and the blood spilled will be in your hands.

Atte. Gennadiyevich

For every man that came near, he had a present. A hailstorm of bullets was the present, and that would probably kill most of them. Idiots they were, charging further and further. Airships would be easy due to pom pom guns and rocketeers, and for the landships and transport trucks was the latter. More troops flooded into Costum to defend the province.

Podpolkovnik Grekov.
One of the leading officers in the Costum Offensive.
He was leading one of the Airships.
Below him, Hundreds of thousands of soldiers, either marching by foot or going on a transport truck.
Ruskland soldiers where nowhere to be seen, except for a dozen Rangers that were mostly by themselves. These man were taken as POW.

A dozen researchers and Some Veteran MP Soldiers were on a runway.
They were waiting, when, an officer arrived.
The President of the Minister of Defence.
Wulf Parhke was a rather cold person. He was sent to check the new prototype that the Skartenian Advanced Weaponry Progam had made.
As he reached, the Scientists showed him the plane.

Airco DH.2 was an Pusher One-Seat byplane. It would be suited for scouting/Dogfighting. Armed with a Lewis Machine gun, it would be very usefull.
The researchers handed Wulf the blueprints.

One of the leading researchers, called Korovin, started talking
"Hello,Ser. We have done this prototype. Tough we will only be able to send it to the frontlines by the end of the year, we are ready to see this prototype flying."
Wulf responded
"Well, this is not the blueprint that we were told you created at first. Oh well, call the pilot. I want to see this airplane working"
2 MP walked to an house, and then, briefly returned, with the pilot. His name was Dultsev Kaeptev. Yefreytor of the Imperial Skartenian Air fleet, he was well known for being rather effective with the Airships LMG. He was chosen to be the test pilot of a new type of air vehicle.
As he entered the ship, he saluted the Researchers and the Minister, and started to turn on the engines.
He succefully took off. Basic maneuvers were succefully done.
After that, he made an maneuver, preparing to do another run above the runway.
This time, yet, he prepared to use the Lewis Gun.
Wooden Targets in form of Enemy Tanks, or armoured cars were ready.
As he approached, he started firing. He succefully shot down the wooden targets.
Soon, Dultsev proceeded to land the aircraft.
Dultsev got out of the plane, and saluted his comrades once again, before retiring himself to his dormitory.
Minister President Wulf signed his Bodyguards to prepare his transport car. Before leaving, he gave Korovin the papers needed to get funds
"We need at least 1 Squadron of those,as soon as you can. They have to be on the frontlines."

The Far East

A soldier of the 1st Marine Division Leviathan along with the rest of his regiment had been sent to the eastern part of the Expanse driving off locals and forcing them under their new regime as their King would want who upon arriving back had his old brother quickly assassinated in a quiet coup. At least that was what the populace thought anyway, they didn't care, the King hadn't bothered to help them in their time of aide when they were overthrown the Isles.

Now a new generation of soldiers who were growing up in the what had been called the "Exodus of Bronze Tears" by the years that followed this event. Now, Private Allen looked up to the sky as he and his company had been ordered to charge, to break a indigenous settlement once more. The sights and sound of battle, the adrenaline pumping through him. He looked up to the sky to see one of the nation's Airships in battle, the Hammer of the Plague, dumping down loads of munitions upon the small city they were besieging. Oddly it smelled like freshly cut hay.

Following standard orders as they had advanced with this brutal tactic or other through the use of other methods against unruly groups or the use of hwachas filled with special ammunition. Putting on his gas mask, affixing his bayonet, he joined in the charge of his comrades.

Meanwhile, back in the capital of the Bronze Isles a what seems to be high class man stands alone in a dimly-lit room in the night looking upon a world globe.

Malader stood proudly in front of his new machine. It sat under a long velvet cover, looking like an odd, mishapen rectangle. There were strange odds and ends sticking out of it, and from a distance many would assume that it was a vehicle rather than what it really was. He looked out over the room proudly, as photogrophers took photos. The flashing lights of the camera's made him feel like he was on top of the world.

He turned to look at the other members of the cabinet. They were sitting in a line, highbacked wooden chairs keeping their backs straight and firm, though Malader could tell that the Empress wanted to slouch down and hopefully disapear from the room. Billy seemed like he was in his element though, and he was continually being knudged in the side by Stoddard, who was trying to impart some joke about some woman he had slept with, or something of that sort. Sernough sat on the other side of Bella, looking stony faced and cold, like she was secretly planning out how to stab someone without their noticing. She was probably thinking about her newborn baby though. Sernough's love of children had always seemed strange, but it was what it was.

Malader looked back out over the crowd. The people stared back up at him, looking expectantly for what new thing he had created. Malader had built the Townhill Public Transit system, modernized the Navy, modernized the Armored Corp, started the Malader Automotives company, which was now churning out some of the most well respected cars in the world, and had just come to the public with this. . . lump.

When he felt like everyone was there who he wanted to be, he stepped forward to the edge of the stage, where there was a microphone. He looked at the lords and lady's who sat up front, in the seats nearest to him, in their fancy clothing and ridiculous hats. He looked up into the balcony's, to where the poor audience members were sitting, in their worn out suits and crumpled hats. He loved them all, in his own strange way.

"Gentlemen, ladies," he said. "It is my honor to have you all here tonight, so that we may view my latest invention together. As many of you know, I have been working on this for some time now, many years in fact, but I have recently finished it. Now, I could go on all night, but that would take away from what I am really here to show you. My greatest creating yet, the Malader Engine!"

He turned away from the crowd, and took hold of the velvet cover before whipping it off of the machine with a flousish. It found its way to the Cabinet members, covering them like a wet cloth. He heard them grunt as they pulled the cover away, coming out from under it discheveled and frustrated by Malader's antics. He didnt care. Malader dropped to one knee, and waved his hands around at the machine like he was introducing a circus.

It did not look nearly as exiting as a circus. It was a metalic mass of parts and pieces, that would take up an entire room of any normal sized building. But as soon as Malader got to work showing it off, it became apparent that it was besides the point what it looked like. He took many questions, showing off how the machine would take certain questions and churn out answers, through a complicated system of hard paper cards.

It could be used to calculate losses, monetary gain, troop size, intake from the fields, and all kinds of other things. And it could do it better than an average calculating machine. It could teach increible things, and with math it could answer far more questions than an average calculator.

Throughout the next few weeks, Malader began working on manufacturing the machines for the government. Soon there was one in the Royal Palace, as well as the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Finance. He hoped to build another one for his own Ministry of Science, as well as Agriculture, Education, and any other Ministry that thought they could get a use out of it.

And, if the demand was great enough for it, he would begin to sell it internationally. It was a brave new world that Malader had created, but one that would bring about many incredible things.

The Northern Crumble
Vail Adance's Office
"What!? You're Sios' son?! How's this possible?" Michael exclaimed.

"And how would you know?"

"Because the word of mouth. Who wouldn't know about Sios? His autobiography was published during the war!"

Pause, then words. "So Mios published it before he died..."

"Mios Askwell died?"

"Yes. He tried to flee the country, but he was assassinated by his personal guard who was secretly a communist. The guard had the book, but we managed to get it. Now we have the original autobiography." Vail held it up. There it was, a leather bound book. Softcover, and just plain brown, but thick. Very thick. Some pages were added on and loose, though it kept together well. "Mios may be cowardly, but he was smart. He knew the importance of this book. He only published the stories, and not anything else. He knew that there were secrets, though he was a fool to not pass it on as soon as possible when they found out he published it. Either way, though, the assassination was quite inevitable. Now, Mich-"

A man ran into the room, panting. "SIR!" He yelled. "Chekov of the communists... is dead."

Vail's eyes widened, and he looked at the other man next to him. The man shrugged.

"Good." Vail said.

Bella stood on the docks, a bottle of champagne in her hand, tied to a rope tied over the top of a crane. In front of her was a ship, and behind her were many reporters, civilians and others, all come to watch the launching of the Isles new flagship, the RSS Lena Cartwine. It was larger than any Isles ship ever built before, and carried the firepower equivalent to two average size battleships. It bristled with weapons, like a fallen tree with branches shooting off in all directions. The yellow and blue flag of the Empire flew over its mast, blowing slightly in the breeze. A drizzle poured down over the crowd, but that was to be expected in the Isles, so no one paid to much attention to it.

The Lena Cartwine was to replace the now aging Farms Class Battleship, and was to be the first of a new class, the Cartwine Class. The initial order was for 12, one for each Home Isle, and there would be 3 in each of the 4 High Seas Fleets. Later it was hoped that the Navy would build three more, to be given to the Colonial Fleet, but for now there simply wasn't enough money. Still, if the Cartwine Class performed well, it was believed that they would once again place the Empire of the Twelve Isles at the top of the heap with the most powerful navy in the world.

Bella looked over her shoulder at the crowd, then back at the sailors standing at attention in front of the ship. They were all in their white and blue navy uniforms, crisp and freshly washed, waiting for their new ship to be christened before its maiden voyage. Bella sighed, feeling flustered and frustrated, before stepping forward with the Champagne, and said, "I, in honor of my late mother, I christen this ship the RSS Lena Cartwine." Bella pushed the champagne outwards, watching as it swung from its rope and hit the bow of the ship, breaking and streaking the hull with the beverage. Elsewhere, a dockworker pulled a rope, snapping the weak link supports holding the Lena Cartwine, causing the ship to slowly lean its stern downwards, before gliding into the water. It pushed up a massive wave, that splashed out over the harbor like a frothy white cake, before collapsing onto itself.

Cameras flashed, and Bella shrunk in on herself a little. She didn't like the attention, but work was work and so she had learned to deal with it. Usually by just suppressing emotion like a petulant teenager, but it worked for her. She had brought her nation back up in the world, and had revolutionized travel in urban environment when she commissioned the Townhill Public Transit. If people didnt like her because she was a little awkward and didn't open up to strangers, they could suck it. She had built them subways, saved their economy and revolutionized the place of science in their society, and had more than proved that despite all of her eccentricity's she was not someone to be taken lightly.

Little by little Bella managed to break herself away from the crowd of reporters and made her way back to the car which she had come in. Two Armored Cars sat on either side, the soldiers in dress uniforms but still grasping guns. Two Imperial Guard stood in front of the car, and opened the door for her, letting her climb, followed by Samuel and Stoddard, before closing the door. The car began driving, taking the small party back to the Royal Palace. When the got back, Bella made her way back to her office. There was paperwork that needed to be done, even though she really didnt want to.

Bella passed by Claire, who looked up and smiled at her. Bella blushed, and tried to reply but instead just stammered and excused herself. She made her way back to her office, trying to ignore her thoughts of Claire. She didnt know what it was about Claire, but the more she saw her the more she couldn't help but feel a little hot and not know what to say, and so she had instead started trying to avoid her. Furthermore, there had been whispers among the royalty and Parliament about how Bella acted around Claire, which would only dig up the embers from the fire started by the Bellmerns that she had thankfully managed to put out when they both had died a few years prior.

Claire sat at her desk and stared out the window. She had realized recently that she was now 30 years old, and still unmarried and had no children. While she personally could care less about it, it had occurred to her that she had no heir. She hardly knew anyone else in her family, most of the others had either died when she was younger, or during the Fall of the Empire or when the Coalition had recaptured the Isles. If she was to die, there would be no clear heir, and she worried it would throw the entire nation into disarray, and possibly even a catastrophic civil war.

Bella looked at a stack of fresh white papers, and the pen next to them. "Fucking shit," she said under her breath. She leaned back, rubbing her hands over her face before looking at the papers again. "Shit," she said again. Bella reached out and took a piece of paper, placing it in front of her, before taking the pen and dipping it into the ink well that was carved into her desk. As she wrote, she heated a little place of wax so that it would be ready when she was done, so that it could be used to seal the letter with her seal.

From: Empress Bella Cartwine I, Regent of the Twelve Isles.

To whom it may concern,

I write in the hopes of arranging a meeting, in the hopes of my finding a husband. I understand that these are not typically why world leaders write to one another, but I also realize that I am 30 years old, have no children, an no still living immediate family. This puts me in an awkward situation, where if I was to die the next day, there would be no clear heir to the throne of the Twelve Isles, and our nation would likely fall into chaos and civil war. This is something that I greatly wish to avoid, and so I reach out to you.

Anyone who wishes to meet, may come to the Royal Palace in Townhill, on the capital Isle of Mournly.

Empress Bella Cartwin I

The Manticoran Empire wrote:Years of operating airships had highlighted a weakness, a blind spot, really. No airship could carry enough weapons to provide full spectrum protection and most of the limited protection they did have consisted of machine guns. The Royal Navy didn't like the possibility that a hostile nation such as Skarten or Wargloria would discover a way to exploit that weakness first so they started looking for a solution. Adding machine guns was unacceptable. The weight would be too great and the ammunition required would make even one hit infinitely more dangerous. No, something else was required. The concept of smaller, single or twin occupant airships was tossed around but proved to have the same problem as full sized airships did: blind spots that couldn't be covered. So they looked at the civilian daredevils who strapped canvas and wood to their backs and tried to fly. Perhaps, it was postulated, an engine could be attached to a glider and the powered glider could be launched from an airship? The problem, it was agreed, would be determining how to support the engine and control the aircraft in flight. To that end, they looked at the steering controls of airships. Horizontal flaps that controlled vertical movement and vertical flaps that controlled horizontal movement. Could the same principles apply to heavier than air flight? But how do you keep it aloft? You can't use a balloon so what do you do? To that end, the Navy looked to the birds and the insects. All of them had wings which provided both thrust and lift. But civilians had already shown that humans couldn't generate enough thrust by flapping their arms around. The wings would have to be fixed and tasked with solely providing lift. So what would provide the thrust? Perhaps an airship engine would be sufficient? Probably not, as they were quite large and heavy. Maybe an automobile engine? Several designs were drawn up, using everything from a Motor Scout's engine to the monster engine in a Mark 1 light tank. The designs were kept highly classified and even the Empress did not know of the project. All construction and testing was done on a remote island in the Infinite Expanse. A single airship assigned to the Office of Naval Intelligence was the only craft authorized to travel to the island and only authorized personnel with valid IDs and orders were permitted. The Director of Naval Intelligence as well as the Director of Special Projects were required to call the ONI airship hangar in order to allow anyone access to the facility.

For years, ONI had been working tirelessly on heavier than air flight. And at last they had achieved their goal.
Image
The Mk. 1 Flyer was 6.43 meters long, had a wingspan of 12.31 meters, a height of 2.74 meters, and was powered by a recycled 12 horsepower Motor Scout engine. It had a wing camber of 1 in 20.
Four flights occurred that day, with the longest flight lasting 89 seconds and traveling 260 meters before crashing. They recorded a maximum air speed of 48 kilometers per hour and a maximum altitude of 9 meters Despite that, ONI was convinced this was the aircraft of the future and they began working on refinements. One involved reducing the wing camber to 1 in 25. They also decided to do a comparison test of a 1 in 20 camber, with both aircraft using 15 horsepower engines instead of 12 horsepower engines. Other alterations were made to the frame to make it sturdier and they returned a few months later to fly again. This time, the aircraft flew higher and faster and the 1 in 20 camber proved to provide greater lift. As such, ONI began making preparations for a final test bed, which would use an even more powerful engine.

Oswyn and Martha sat down near the fireplace. Oswyn read the newspaper as Martha read a book. Little Mikhail, son of Nikolai and Melissa played with baby toys, a nurse women taking care of him while Nikolai and Melissa hosted a charity party for the wounded soldiers of the war between Morvern and the Rusklands.

Oswyn was more than pleased to see the news of the Arenginian military keeping the Rusklands at bay in the Volgan forests and was also very pleased to see photos of Arenginian soldiers escorting Morverian prisoners and also surrounding the beautiful city of Constantinople. The war was going well. Oswyn was then upset by a sudden attack on his hand from arthritis.

A royal officer entered the room and handed the King a telegram. Oswyn took off his spectacles and began to analyze the remiten, whoever it was. He struggle to look up close.

The officer grew increasingly worried about the Kings struggle. "Sir... do you wish me to read it for y-"

"No, no... I'm very well capab-" Suddenly Oswyn was struck by a whopping coughing, growing increasingly worse in sound as he struggled to hold the letter. The Nurse handed Mikhail to the Queen and began attending to the king, patting him in the back so he would stop coughing. Oswyn the shrugged her off and his coughing stopped, he was then helped in opening the letter and finally allowed his guard to read it.

When the officer read it Oswyn was more than pleased. His face had a wide smile as he then assembled so the telegram would be sent to the best suitors he could find for Bella. Just imagining, an Arenginian royal marrying his adoptive daughter, empress of the Isles.

The telegram was sent to three well respected individuals.

The first was Lord Sebastin Karl Vasilievich, a respected lord of the land near Ecksal, he owned various properties in the region as well in Halium where his trading business had seen much success. A man of etiquette and elegance, well shaven and well dressed at all times, his disposition made one of superiority but also a wise persona. He was barely 35 and had amassed a great fortune. He was related to the King by being the favorite nephew of Oswyn's now deceased Aunt, duchess Valeria.

Captain Artan Kravitz Nabatov was the second one, he was of course a military man. Having seen service in the liberation of the Isles as well as the wars of the Halium rebellions and most recently the Al-Morvern war, coming back to the Capital due to an injured man. Artan was related to Oswyn in being his second cousin son, cousin from Duchess Valeria. He was a firm but humble man, with eyes that one could see the inner sufferings he had endured in his services, many medals adorned his name but he never wore any in his uniform, he was a meticulous young man of 38 years, with a well detailed crew cut and a well trimmed stubble. He would be a great suitor.

And Levan Oswyn, young man of 30 like Bella, he was son of Anna Oswyn, Oswyn's grandchild. He occupied the rank of Duke of Alefum. He was a very short man, a few centimeters shorter than Bella for certain. He was shy but also elegant and of good heart and conscious, never wanting to draw attention and always helping the poor, never being afraid to be among them. Sporting a well defined haircut, not letting lose a single hair, with a mustache that most Arenginian noble men had.

All men accordingly accepted the offer of his majesty to transport them to the Isles, to refuse this offer would be a great insult to the king. All men were on the same boat headed to the Isles. The best man would win Bellas heart.

Three suitors had arrived from Arengin, which was to be expected. The Traansval, who had for the longest time been the strongest ally of the Isles had recently drifted into more isolationist standing with the world, and in their place the Isles had formed a strong alliance with Arengin. The royal family taking in Bella after the Fall of the Empire was certainly a strong selling point to form the basis of their now strong alliance, but the Isles and Arengin had always had friendly relations, even when the two nations went in opposite directions and joined in with separate and at odds alliances.

The three men from Arengin had just been led into the Royal Palace when Stoddard found them. He had been wandering around the palace for a while, eating snacks and the like that had been left out for the guest who were arriving. There were international suitors, as well as suitors from the Isles as well, and so there was a certain festive air. It wasnt a party in the most traditional sense, in fact Bella thought the whole ordeal was a little creepy, a bunch of men arriving to essentially fawn over one woman. Stoddard, due to his close position with the Empress as the commander of the navy knew this, and had been joking with her for the past few days about how weird it all was.

He stepped out in front of the three men, holding a small pile of peanuts in his hand, contently munching on them. "So," he said, popping a peanut into his mouth as he looked the prospective suitors of his empress up and down. "You boys are here to try and woo the famed Empress Bella Cartwine?" He smiled, and playfully slapped Levan Oswyn on the shoulder. "Good luck with that lads. The Empress is her own woman." He gave the three men a devious smile, and laughed a little to himself, before continuing through the palace.

Bella came out from the library as he left, and saw the three Arenginians standing awkwardly by the door. She stopped in her tracks, and turned to walk back into the library before stopping again, and looking over her shoulder at the three men again. She straightened up, and breathed deeply before turning around again and walking towards them, trying to seem at least marginally confidant. She stopped in front of them and forced a smile, extending her hand to them in introduction.

"Hi," she said, rather informally, but hopefully still pleasantly. "Im Empress Cartwine, but please just call me Bella." She stood in front of them, smiling awkwardly for a few seconds, before she managed to compose herself for the second time and continued. "I believe you are the suitors from Arengin, am I correct?"

She stood in front of them, smiling awkwardly for a few seconds, before she managed to compose herself for the second time and continued. "I believe you are the suitors from Arengin, am I correct?"

"Indeed we are your majesty." Vasilievich exclaimed as he walked forward in a more than distinguished manner. He approached the empress with much glamour, though his way to walk and mannerism overall seemed out of place, if not a little too flamboyant as he took hold of the empress hand and hold it with much class.

"Lord Sebastin Karl Vasilievich you've probably already knew of me after all I have several businesses here in your nation. Anyway, pleasure to meet you. I hope we can both learn much about each other." He said this with such over-confidence in himself that the two other suitors couldn't hold but look at each other discretely in a jokingly matter.

The second suitor, Captain Nabatov was more jaded but also respectful to the empress. He took off his cap in a sign of respect as he calmly walked to her, he bowed his head and took a hold of her hand and kissed it. "Your majesty... Captain Artan Kravitz Nabatov it is a true honor to finally beg your presence. I feel fully honored in your consideration of me as your potential husband, the rumors were true, you are a true demonstration of kindness and beauty." He looked at the empress in the eyes, she couldn't hold but flinch and almost feel a certain feeling of excitement. He stepped aside to let the younger and smaller duke to see the empress.

Levan was rather nervous, his face spoke more than a thousand words as he stepped forward and also bowed to the empress. He was royalty like her, he had seen her before, but only a few glances and Nikolai had talked to him about her, her beauty and her kind demeanor, Niko had also talked to Bella about Levan. Him being a shy man with a heart of gold. The young Oswyn also took hold of the empress's hand and kissed it gently.

"Nikolai was right... You are a true magnificence sight to the eyes." He said almost stuttering.

All suitors had introduced themselves.

Bella stepped back when Vasilievich. He was clearly trying to be nice, but there was still a certain overbearing quality to him which made her feel a little uncomfortable. It seemed like he was a little over confidant, and not the time of man who liked it when things didnt go his way. "Im sorry, Im not sure If I know you all that well," said Bella as Vasilievich kissed her hand. "My job is more focused on the politics of my nation. Im sure Ms Allison Sernough, the Master of Economics would be the one who communicates with foreign businesses in our land."

Bella felt much more impressed by Captain Nabatov. He presented himself with a certain grace and dignity that Vasilievich has lacked, and she felt like he held a lot more respect for her. "Thank you for the compliments," she said. "I appreciate that you say that. I have heard some things about you as well, though I believe Imperial General Younger or Imperial Admiral Stoddard would be the ones who would know you best." Bella looked up at Captain Nabatov as she spoke. It was an odd experience for her. She was so tall that she was almost always either looking straight into someones eyes, or down at them.

Finally Levan spoke. He was nervous, more so than even Bella and she practically lived in a constant state of discomfort. She couldnt help but feel a little sorry for him. They had met a few times, but never really talked before. She had been most impressed by Captain Nabatov, but found that she felt most comfortable around Levan. Bella smiled at him, trying to ease the tension. "Thank you Levan," she said. "It means a lot to hear you say that."

She turned back to the other two men, and continued. "Anyways," she said, trying to suck in her feelings of discomfort and put on her face she used in public. "There is a mean prepared for us in the Dining Hall. I hope we can convene there." She smiled, but it was a little crooked and off, before turning and leading the suitors to the Dining Hall, where a large meal had been layed out. Bella saw Claire standing along the wall with the other servants, and quickly looked the other way, before sitting down and inviting the Arenginians to sit with her.

The Republic of The Traansval

Franklin Van Rosevelt, the Verkozen Officiele of the Traansval, rode in the custom Ford Motor Vehicle that he had purchased. A privately purchased Ford Motor Car was a staple of any modern Officiele, the trend being started by none other than Mark Kruger himself, who owned a early Ford Car. From then on, it was custom for Officieles to purchase a private car, it reflected the highly Capitalist Culture that permeated throughout the Traansval. Boers took pride that instead of using a Government Car or a car purchased using State Funds, like many other rulers, that their Leader went against the mold and drove his own personal Car.

Boers also took quite a liking to Van Rosevelt. Rosevelt was a Lawyer by profession, but he lived within the ranks of those inside Pretoria City. The main thing the people liked about Rosevelt was that he connected with them, he managed to portray this image that he was one of the people. That he was a regular person, that he worked for all he had and that he also had troubles.

Rosevelt had been in power for over a year now, and he had one of the highest approval ratings yet. His first action in office was a plan made under the Kendi Administration, and that was to set a limit of Verkozen Officiele Terms. Mark Kruger had been a well liked leader, but many had criticized him for Centralizing Power on the Execute Branch. Kendi had used this as a major point of his election, but was unfortunately assassinated before he could enact many of the reforms he planned, although he did managed to give many powers to the Staats Kongres.

Franklin Van Rosevelt took the unfinished reforms of his precessor and enacted them. Now, the Verkozen Officiele was stripped of most of his Power, and was then given to the Staat Kongres or the High Court. The High Court was another Reform of Kendi that was enacted by Rosevelt. The Courts systems were remodelled, and now consisted of the Low Courts (Dealing with Petty Crimes and Civil Law), The Federal Courts (Dealing with Crimes), and the High Court (Dealing with Crimes against the Constitution). Crimes against the Constitution were actions which would go against the Constitution itself, and were mainly used to make sure the Kongres or Officiele didn't attempt to horde power.

However, Rosevelt kept the Officiele as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. Using that role, he decided to Modernize the Military. 1900 was a new year, and with it came brand new Technologies.

Mainly, Rosevelt wanted to Standardize the Uniform. For years, the Military had used a couple Dozen different Uniforms, and he wanted to standardize them more.

Rosevelt also changed some of the Weapons of the Leger von Traansval. Mainly, he added in a new Rifle, the Pretorian-Mauser M1900, along with the new Mauser C96 Pistol and the Colt New Army. He also officially made the Ryder-Kjellman Mobile Machine Gun a official Gun of the Leger von Traansval, and replaced the AT-1 with the new Anti-Material Mauser Rifle MK4.

Bella saw Claire standing along the wall with the other servants, and quickly looked the other way, before sitting down and inviting the Arenginians to sit with her.

Isles Royal Palace

The three men sat down, each tried to get the seat closer to the empress. The lord took himself the seat right side to the empress, he sat down in such fashion that one couldn't hold but smile at how ridiculous he behaved. One could say the King simply chose him to be a suitor for the empress only out of pettiness, and this was actually true to an extent.

The Captain moved fast, he got to the seat where the empress would sit and pulled it out for her in such a polite manner the empress made a smile. Compared to Vasilievich, Nabatov was a handsome fellow, his beard was highlighted by some graying but he was tall and well built. Many of the female servants would blushed at his sight. Arenginian men in the isles were not an uncommon sight since the end of the war, many soldiers had remained behind to help rebuild the crippled infrastructure. Many Arenginian soldiers found love in the hands of the Isles women and so it was not uncommon to find many Islander women with Arenginian husbands.

Nabatov sat down left to the empress. Levan walked to the chair farthest from the empress, but he didn't mind. He simply sat down and began to admire the room, pictures and portraits of many different eras adorned the wall. There was even the portrait of Levan's grandfather, in his all mighty pose and uniform. The evening would an interesting one.

St. Osloverg

At the St. Osloverg police morgue, Marvock's reports had been less than exciting, most of the so called murders had little to no evidence pointing one way or the other. Three were shoot straight in the eyes, no bullet casings left in the residencies as Marvock had visited the first three victim's houses. There was a pattern, but why these individuals? that was a question Marvock couldn't deduce, and what was the motivation. Political or personal, all of them had had a role in government one way or the other and you didn't get into high political positions without making some enemies along the way.

Now the problems was that the police had no documents or any other type of evidence aside from the one relating to the murder itself, apparently the bureau of state affairs had confiscated most documents in the victims residency, it was funny, Yasha worked in that bureau.

Marvock finished his reports, he was more than disappointed in himself, nothing to set him on a trail. Perhaps he just needed a break from all these, perhaps he should just let this go and worry on his own field. But his thoughts were interrupted as he listened that a disturbance had been reported in the E'sat residency. The name quickly sounded to Marvock, Dima E'sat was his friend who had been questioned about being a potential double agent, a disturbance was odd? E'sat was not married or had anyone of familiar ties living with him, unless.

He quickly got his coat and went out of the building. He ran to his car and discretely followed the police car on its way to E'sat's home. They arrived, Marvock left his car in the shadows and slowly walked towards the residency to see what was happening. The two policemen sent to the residency were greeted by a silhouette man, Marvock could not see who it was. In a matter of seconds the two police men went back to their car and went off. The night made Marvock invisible as he took out his pistol and began to silently walk to the residency, he knew something was not right.

Marvock took the alleyway leading to the backdoor of E'sat's home. The sound of far away cars and the cats roaming around the garbage made him feel uneasy. He quickly got to the door and quickly picked it, opening it. He walked inside, slowly as he readied his pistol. He heard the sound of moaning and grunts, the entire building was dark, no lights were on. But Marvock approached the only room with some light coming out of its semi closed door, he heard the sounds of punches as well as a few words.

"You son of a bitch, were is it!" Followed by the sound of another punch.

"You fucking Arenginian dog... You're going to learn not to fuck with us." Marvock heard as he approached the room, he saw how things were throw all over the place, and a blood trail led right to the room. He readied himself, pulling the hammer of the weapon as more and more punches were heard. Then Marvock kicked open the door.

"Okran, drop the weapon and get on the floor!" Marvock was greeted to the sight of two men, E'sat on the floor, with several wounds and bruises, and on top of him was a man wearing a brown suit, his coat on the corner of the room and his sleeves were pulled up, he had a small hammer on his hand, and a holster was visible on him. Marvock aimed his pistol right on the attacker's head.

"Drop the hammer and get on the floor now!" Marvock yelled.

"Are you really sure you want to do this agent?" The man asked as he remained in position, his hand still holding the hammer.

"STOP TALKING AND DROP THE FUCKING HAMMER!" Marvock said once again, this time more angered.

"You have no idea what you're dealing with..." The man answered as he got up, he dropped the hammer.

Marvock was relieved as he then commanded him to take off the holster, slowly. The man began complying at first, only to then take too much time as his back was still against Marvock.

"You will die tonight Agent." He said in a low tone and then quickly turned around, his hand on his pistol. "Hai-"

A single shot was heard. Someone lay dead on the ground, E'sat thought beaten up, he was still conscious. He saw with a blurred man, someone laying on the floor, blood pouring out. Then the survivor approached him. E'sat flinched as if another blow was expected to come. Instead the man gave E'sat water, helping him up to the living room and setting him to the couch. E'sat's view became clear, it was Marvock, his friend sitting besides him.

The two men took a breather for a second. Marvock was the first to break silence.

"What happened Dima?"

E'sat was heavily breathing as he moved his shirt to reveal a wound, it was a gunshot.

"There's another one... I think he went off... there isn't much time Leo..."

Image

Marvock tried to move to the phone to call for help but he was stopped by E'sat's hand. He began to breathe even more heavily. Marvock's expression of fear and worry for his friend was one he could see despite his wounds.

"I'm not going to make it Leo... Listen... there's more to this than you think... I-I found the t-truth..." E'sat's words sounded like gibberish to Marvock.

"Look... under the carpet..."

Marvock was at first confused, but he moved over all the stuff that was over the carpet and set it aside, at first it seemed to be the normal set of wooden boards. Marvock gave E'sat an expression of further confusion, to which he replied with pointing his bloody hand at a set of boards that didn't look like the rest. Marvock quickly realized and began to pull them. He eventually pulled three boards aside, revealing a thin black book. It had the seal of an odd creature in the center, what appeared to be an octopus with a human skull. Marvock took it out, there was also many other documents all tied together. Marvock looked at E'sat once again.

"They... they have lied to us Leo... they are everywhere... they eat with us, they work with us... they fuck with us... don't trust anyone Leo, the department is filled with them... they are planning something big, the dire-" E'sat was drained from any life as the silent sound of a bullet shot right on the head ended his life. Marvock was stuttered by this as he looked at the other side of the room. A large bald man in the same uniform as Marvock stood right in front of him, with a silenced pistol on his hand.

"He was always a loud mouth." The man said. Marvock was more than shocked, he was scarred. A few blood drops in his face from E'sat's corpse.

"Now... I can see he was kind enough to reveal what he knew. Hand over the documents Leo, and I'll make your death a fast one." The man pointed the pistol at Marvock.

A few seconds passe and Marvock got up and taking into account his situation he began to hand over the documents, the man smiled.

"Good, you're making the right choice boy." The man said, still aiming his gun at Marvock.

"Yeah... he was a loud mouth..." Marvock said, the man looked at him with a puzzled face.

"BUT YOU KILLED THE WRONG LOUD MOUTH!" Marvock quickly threw the book at the man's face, he fired a few shots as he was blinded by so many papers flying everywhere blocking his sight. Marvock tackled the man, hitting him right in the gut. The two men began to fight, grunts and screams were heard from both fighters.

Marvock was soon overpowered by the larger man who then began to use the rope that hold the documents together to try and strangle Marvock. Marvock moved his feet and hands all over to try and get the man off him, he was choking and it was not pretty.

"YOU SHOULD HAVE STAYED AWAY FROM WHAT YOU DIDN'T UNDERSTAND MOTHERFUCKER!" The man said, still strangling Marvock.

Marvock began to frantically try and reach whatever there was close to him. He saw the a fallen lamp and began to slowly reach for it. Marvock could feel the life being drained from him as he struggled. He finally got hold of the lamp and hit the man right in the heard with it, shattering it in a million pieces, blood coming out of the man's face as he left go of Marvock and began to scream from pain.

Marvock coughed in pain as he took off the rope. He then picked the man's own gun and took a few seconds, watching him suffer from the wound on his face, then he shoot him in both legs, the man fell on the ground. Marvock grabbed the man by the throat.

"WHO ARE YOU! WHO DO YOU WORK FOR. WHY DID YOU KILL HIM. TELL ME OR ASIDE FROM NOT WALKING AGAIN YOU WON'T HAVE ANY KIDS!" Marvock aimed the silenced pistol right on the mans crotch. The man simply laughed.

"What's so funny?" Marvock asked, his tone one of anger.

"Cut of one head... and tow will take its place..." The Marvock could hear a small crack, followed by a white spur coming out of the mans mouth.

"Haigghhh... Hridraaaggg...." He said and with that he died.

Marvock was shocked, but he was also tired and beaten up. He heard the sounds of police sirens coming from afar. He grabbed the book and the documents and stacke dthem all together, he walked out the building and back to his car, he drove away in panic, narrowly avoiding the police cars.

Royal Palace, Arengin.

Oswyn was working on his studio like usual. He had been given mostly good news, the Morverians were almost defeated, the NCSU war would soon come to an end as well. And the suitors had arrived to the Isles. He then checked the photo of his family. It was an amazing piece, his new grandson Mikhail. He was adorable.

Oswyn soon began to get tired, he set aside all documents in order, his spectacles on his desk and got up and began to walk to the door. Suddenly, the King began to feel dizzy, followed by a weakness in his body. He then began to fall on the ground, not able to walk any longer. He then began to cough uncontrollably again.

Immediately the guards came to see if everything was okay, only to find the king nearly unconscious on the ground. The guards acted quick, calling for the servants to call the ambulance and then began to cover every window and search every corner for any assassin. Oswyn was then helped up by several guards, Nikolai, Melissa and Martha all rushed in worry outside, side by side to Oswyn. Melissa left Mikhail in the hands of the nurse.

Then the king and the royal family were loaded to the ambulance and several armored vehicles escorted the vehicle to the nearby hospital. The news of the King being ill was spread all around Arengin, and through the world the news of the leader of one of the most powerful countries on earth being hospitalized was one that was meet with mixed reactions.

Flight of the Fighters

With ONI regularly conducting flights, the Army was now brought into the fold. Immediately, the Army saw a potential application that the Navy hadn't. Rather than using them as reconnaissance aircraft, perhaps they could be used to destroy and escort zeppelins and support ground operations. To this end, the Army and the Navy put their heads together, seeking to find an effective design.

Image

The design selected would have two seats, for a pilot and an observer, and would have two machine guns, allowing both the pilot and observer to engage enemy airships and other planes. Unfortunately, design and testing would take at least two years and it would be four years before they were fielded in sufficient numbers.
For: Israel, Palestine, Kurdistan, American Nationalism, American citizens of Guam, American Samoa, Puerto Rico, Northern Mariana Islands, and US Virgin Islands receiving a congressional vote and being allowed to vote for president, military, veterans before refugees, guns, pro choice, LGBT marriage, plural marriage, US Constitution, World Peace, Global Unity.

Port Vilpuu, Krossa

It was a about two and a half hours away from Osto. The rather primitive automobiles attracted attention so on the way to the Port there was some waving. The car had reached the hangar at noon.

Emperor Väinämo approached General Ahti Yetch. The General was the commander of the Krossan marines and had started as a second-in-command to Fleet Admiral Ukko Yu before transferring to the Marines and getting a high rank there. Yetch still worked with Ukko frequently.

Several soldiers and engineers behind Ahti saluted the Emperor. Behind Emperor Väinämo were his four children and by his side was his wife, Irmata. The five children were all under the age of 20. The oldest son, Kristoffer Väinämo, was 19 while his younger brother Inari was 12. The youngest, two fraternal twins, Aku and Aleksandra, were both 5.

"I apologize for Yu's absence. Being the commander of the Navy must take up alot of his time,"Yetch stated.

The Emperor nodded. "He does a good job,"he replied simply, looking over the shoulder of Yetch to see the cracks of the hangar. "How is the project doing?"Väinämo asked.

Yetch smiled. "You're not one to beat around the bush,"Yetch bit his lip quietly after he got no response from Väinämo. Yetch sighed and turned around to the hangar, seeing some engineers one the outside. He waved his hand in a sideways motion and in a few moments the hangar began to spread. Inside was one of the developing projects Krossa was working on. It was an airship.

"It doesn't look like the other nations' designs,"Väinämo stated. "We tried to come up with a somewhat unique physical appearance. It isn't that unique though. Most of the work went into keeping it afloat,"Yetch shrugged. At 33 years old Yetch was still relatively young, his dirty blonde hair showing no signs of stress.

"It has flown?"Väinämo inferred, scratching his dark brown beard whilst waiting for an answer. He hadn't moved yet, still looking at the airship from a distance. Yetch didn't respond until a few seconds later. "Yes, several times. All successful short-distance trips around here."

Väinämo began walking towards the hangar. His family following. Aku's large, young eyes scanned the airship. "Woah!"The child exclaimed. The cold weather had prompted most of the children to wear jackets, and the engineers working at the hangar had created a makeshift fire pit away from the hangar.

"When will it be ready to fly over Osto?"Väinämo referred to the publicity flight that was scheduled to occur soon. "

"In a few weeks,"Yetch led the family to the hangar. The crew working on it had pulled it out halfway so it could be more visible. "It can fit 11 people. That'll be enough, right?"Yetch's question was answered with a nod. Kristoffer led his younger siblings to the airship for a closer examination. "Your children are quite excited,"Yetch coughed. He had a small illness from the cold weather. One of the workers had to be sent home after he spent too much time outside. Väinämo smiled faintly and nodded.

"I assume you will be leaving shortly. A long travel for less than a hour of examining this thing,"Yetch gestured to the airship. "I wish you luck on the ride home. Hopefully you don't wind up getting sick aswell,"Yetch sighed. "Expect a letter from either Uukko or me. The next time you see the airship it'll be more than just a progress report."

After a short conversation the family went back to the automobiles. The guards entered the last automobile and they began to pull off slowly. The Anneli was to be pulled back into the hangar and for most of the workers it was the end of their shift.

The age of flight was entering Krossa. The Valkirein company, a newly formed military manufacturing company, had been working on another air-worthy vehicle that had began to surface worldwide: The plane.

With tensions in the world rising, the Royal Manticoran Armed Forces had moved quickly to secure points of control in areas near Manticoran Territory. The Spice Isles, Dasda Major and Minor, Fyday, the Tokhelau Islands, and the remainder of the Polynesian Atoll were annexed and occupied by regiments of the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps. The Army was unavailable for such activities as they were undergoing a new reorganization. The old divisions had proven too cumbersome to deploy and, with the Empire covering vast swathes of territory on four continents, it was absolutely imperative that the Army be able to react quickly and with devastating force. As such, they started to reorganize in to brigade sized units. Each would have a headquarters company, three combat battalions, an artillery battalion, and a brigade support battalion. All the units required by a division were now in the hands of brigade commanders, offering far greater flexibility both in combat and in the deployment phase. There would also be a variety of support brigades which would provide greater support should operations require it.

Arengin-NCSU Front

The imminent defeat fo the Morverians was a relief to the Arenginian military. Over 2.5 million soldiers had been deployed on the Tubuska wall and the Warglorian as well as Aclusian reinforcements arriving every day numbered in at least 1 million. The army would be ready for anything.

The only problem was the sudden illness of the King. This had stirred preoccupation on the front from the Arenginian armies. However, still more and more units arrived and the Tubuska wall was always on the alert and constant gunfire back and forth.

The Volgan front had become a stalemate. It seemed another year of war would go uneventful. At least, thats how the Rusklands most likely saw it.

To the State of Krossa
From the NCSU

Greetings fellow monarchy, I am Keisjer Johann II of Soissons, I would like to propose a trade agreement with you a alongside the ability to place troops in your state, and the latter will be given to you too in return. Ah, here comes the in return. We will give you military protection, as well as technology. Also, it would be lovely if we were to discuss about you joining our alliance the Eastern Imperium.

The War against Arenginian Aggression

True, a stalemate it was, but it never meant that the occasional sniper would kill at least 5 or so soldiers before getting picked off or fleeing. The artillery also caused many casualties on the Arenginians, and rocketeers fired at the muzzle flashes near the treeline. The troops of the Unione Freiherrmaga a NCSU vassal, numbering in the 100,000s and all elites, came to support the army. It was led by the Noublaahi Senghor Arnaut.

In the east, at the Ugkohlsolnne(Coalsun) - Ecksal Border, or more known as the Short Border. Well, a flood was the best explanation of what was happening there, a flood of men to be exact.

To: Keisjer Johann II
From: Emperor Väinämo of Krossa

I have read over your proposal and I've discussed it with several members of my council. We all agree that this proposal and an alliance will be beneficial to the future of my nation. Therefore I will accept it. I also request that talks of Krossa joining the alliance will continue and that all that was proposed will be finalized. And finally, I wish you and your nation luck.

Väinämö had gotten little sleep. He was too concerned with the riots breaking out in his streets recently. The protests were getting larger by the day and Väinämö wondered if he could still trust as many people as he did.

Kantokylä,Krossa

Ylito Valkirein yawned. His 16 year old son, Liuski, sat by the crackling fireplace warming his hands and looking through a newspaper. After a day at work Ylito had closed his workshop and went home to edit his aircraft model. He had seen the other designs but he wanted to make something with a stronger center design that would allow the pilot a comfortable sitting area were he didn't have to worry about falling out if he let go of the wrong thing. He was still working on the center of the aircraft, with the wings, engines, and more not having been worked on yet. The development of the aircraft had only been going on for a little more than a month. Valkirein yawned once more, drew two more lines near the base and connected them, and put the pencil down. He opened the desk and slid the paper in, finished for the night.

The soldiers, taken off surprise, had no time to think.
The soldiers entered box formations, using their bayonets to get horses away. The Tanks would cut through the horses, mowing down many, but mostly returning fire to the Cars.
The Airships would use their MGs to pick off enemy cavalary, while also looking for cover to the troopers. For some time, infantry was able to fight against cavalary, but then the ammo started ending. Because of that, The officers ordered the soldiers to start slowly pushing the cavalary, to make them retreat.
The armoured cars, especially, were doing an great damage to the Ruskland horsemen, using their MG To mow them down.
