Many soldiers had stayed awake, awaiting anything to appear out of the blue. One thing did. The Norcourtian Fleet. Within it, was the famed 22nd Regiment of Foot commanded by Lord Horatio Ford, Lord Lewis and his Light infantry, and 5 Divisions of Infantry Regulars commanded by General William Gaulsby. Finally the relief force had arrived, however in total they only reached 81,000 somewhat large. However, there was fear of a large enemy army heading towards Harker's Landing. No, not a regiment, not a company, not a brigade, but an army, one thought to be comprised of 200,000. At the same time, however, the men knew if they all worked together, and setup fortifications, 81,000 could do almost anything...they built a large fort, with stone and wooden wall, in which they armed with 106 Maxim Machine Guns, 67 37mm Mini Cannons, 22 Heavy 82mm Guns, and numerous breechloading swivel cannons.
Well, that was the plan.October 24th, 1886. 1548 Hours.
Harkers Landing
Lieutenant Cromwell walked with his Squad of men who had just undertaken a Scouting Mission on the Volgan Lines. The men didn't need to have fired a shot, there was a former Stone Quarry which was riddled with large boulders of Marble and Stone that the men were able to hide behind, and take recon of the enemy Trenches.
Lieutenant Cromwell entered the Command Tent of Harkers Landing, his second in command Sergeant Jensing by his side.
Lieutenant Cromwell: Sir! Recon taken on the enemy positions! We estimate around 200,000 Volgan Infantry, all of them armed sir...
Cromwell handed over a Satchel of maps and photo's taken by the scouting mission, and noticed a few new commanders in the tent
Lieutenant Cromwell: You men must be from the 22nd?
OOC: Don't intervene.
