Anti-insurgency operations. That's what the Osean Department of Defense had announced about their intervention against Pro-Sotoan separatists. An airstrike mission, involving the Osean Air Force's 158th and 222nd Tactical Fighter Squadrons, has mistakenly dropped their bombs on a densely populated city in the Northeast Sotoan city of Kesturnbad, where Osean intelligence deduced that the portion of this area is a massive jihadist stronghold. Instead of getting rid of the insurgents of the area, civilians were killed from the airstrike. Amounting to over 8,000 killed. Insurgents were reported to have been killed, but no more than 10 were confirmed to be part of the Pro-Sotoan insurgency group.

The mission attracted severe criticism from the international community. Many blaming the misinformation of Osean Intelligence about the city, with some blaming the Osean Government in an attempt to put Sotoa into total disarray. Sotoan authorities has stated that this is a humanitarian crisis that needs to be addressed immediately, and a crisis that was caused by the Osean Federation. Which most analysts described their actions as an act of aggression, and a crime against humanity.

Pilots from the two OAF Squadrons were suspended from their duties for the time being at their forward operating base in Sercia. A country neighboring Sotoa, also hostile. With both states desperately making endless calls and appointments to calm the tensions between the two nations. Anti-Sotoan, Secian and Osean protests occur everyday in both states. And the Osean Federation has yet to answer from this tragedy they had caused.

President Davis Ackerman has spoke before the press in Brighton Hill that such incident is caused by the Sotoans themselves. With the Squadrons dropping their bombs on militant targets due to anti-air fire, and that the targt was indeed a densely populated, jihadist area. Not civilians. The deaths of civilians within the area were acceptable casualties but had to be respected as such. With reparations to be given to the government in due time. But the President has warned the Republic of Sotoa to stop harboring these terrorists, otherwise these incidents will be acceptable regardless of how much incidents the Osean Military will make. In the meantime, the two squadrons were suspended from their duties pending investigation, and additional troops will be sent in to Osean military bases in Sercia to replace the squadrons.

That was the last time a rookie reporter in Northeast Sotoa made his final report live about the situation during an ongoing insurgency in the Sercian-Sotoan borders. The rookie reporter, James Noah, alongside his camera crew were one of the 8,000 people killed from an Osean airstrike. It seemed that their intelligence didn't live up to be true, and deceived by their own people. It was time that the Aurelian government had to take some stance about this issue, and President James Holland is going to make Osea pay for it. But he has to do it by steps.

By cancelling a few deals between the country and the Osean Federation to pressure their government as an act for killing innocent civilians during their operations, Foreign Affairs has restricted low-level flight travels on Osea, and had called in it's minister to file a report and to dismiss sixteen personnel from the Embassy in Oured, Osea's Capital City. The Embassy in Sotoa, mainly on their capital, Takhabalinad increased military security from the country's only military base within the country just a few hundreds of miles away from the capital. Aurelia was no longer neutral, it was standing alongside Sotoa to make the Federation pay for their crimes. Trade sactions has yet to be put in effect, but investigators were sent to the Sercian-Sotoan border to investigate the city that was wrecked by a series of Osean airstrikes in the area. And to confirm whether President David Ackerman's report to the public press was true or not.
