I thank you for your offer to aid in the rescue operation of our distressed naval personnel. His Majesty, King Andrew Costanza IV has accepted your offer to join the Meeting of Frankenlisch, as he sees the benefit of mutual alliance, shared within countries with the same form of Governance. There is only one thing that the Joint Chief of Staffs request, no matter how agonizing the situation gets, they will never concede our Agent "Little Bird" to them, as it is the last thing on their mind. Anyways, your offer to aid in our efforts will be met with gratitude. We shall make haste and bring those men to safety.

The gentle breeze and fair warm wind from land concealed the chaos that was happening less than a few hundred miles away. The EMP that had disabled the Ishvaenian Frigate had been focused enough not to register on any of the sensors of the IKV Claymore. The destroyer had been steaming along after having made port the night before on a good will mission through the area. The quiet and monotony were suddenly interrupted however when the ship's fax machine and communications PADs alerted that they had a priority message. The duty officer quickly read it and wasted no time.
"Sound general quarters!"
Within minutes the ship sprung to life, crew members jumping out of bunks, the Marines on the helodeck ceasing their live weapons drill, and rushing to the armory. Aircrews traded their place as one of the two Merlin helicopters were pushed out onto the deck. Sirens blared and the ship's guns clanked as shells were loaded into them. Black smoke billowed momentarily as the destroyer's engines adjusted to the additional strain of powering the radars and weapon systems.
The Captain arrived on deck, the XO not far behind him.
"Status report!" he barked, looking around and seeing everything was in order.
"Sir, 2nd Fleet CINC sent this just a moment ago." And the fax was handed off, the two officers reading it.
"Wow, didn't take Command long to decode that one... Odin's Raven thats only 15 minutes ago..."
"Yes, well, this area has been a focus for developing our influence. Maybe we've made some headway." The Captain said as he walked over to the digital map table. He scrolled through the information he needed, zooming out slightly to give him a better idea of the other ships in the area. "Signal the IKMV Ruby Spire and Voss Derringer to come plot a course to rendezvous with us here..." He pointed to an area several miles back on their previous course. The two merchant vessels would have to cut around the disabled Ishvaenian frigate as well, but as a group they would be better protected by the Claymore.
"Lets get ops on firing solutions for anything that comes our way. Get both Helos in the air and send them to protect our merchant ships. Let them cut close, but not too close to the 'Flying Monkey' as to be seen as a threat, minimum distance allowed by this area's freedom of navigation laws."
The XO nodded, everything was covered. "We should signal our intent to both sides as to not escalate things further, Im sure if these terrorists see three ships forming up it might look suspicious... and agitate them."
"Good plan, get Comms on that."
The XO nodded. "Anything else sir?"
The Captain nodded, there was always one more thing. "All Department heads meeting in the briefing room in ten minutes, and try and patch us in with naval intel."
"Khazad!" The XO saluted, spun and went on his way. The Captain sitting down in his chair and reviewing the fax one more time.

A psychological warfare attempt is a good way of weeding out these terrorists. Only one problem, by the looks of it, they seem to have elite training in the art of warfare, hence it is presumed that their leader "Knife" is a master strategist. If we have brilliant minds behind this operation, we can commence said operations. As for now, we shall need to discuss the methods of extraction of the hostages. The GBMS Sea Vixen was a container ship that was a frequent visitor to the Channel as it made its way home from lands afar. The Container ship was heading south at the moment. The two fleets would exchange pleasantry when in , proximity and ships such as the Vixen moved about with the knowledge that Ishvaen warships patrolled the waters.
The GBMS Sea Vixen was heading south along the coast at about 25 miles from it. The voyage had been uneventful since port. Though, one crew man was in the brig due to his action with a lady in port. Captain Lux Thomas held the Gebeta Fleet Law to the letter. While the crew man had not conducted any felonies, his harassment was not to go unpunished. He had taken the crew man into custody from the local police force with the promise that Fleet Law would be enforced. Fleet Law was a attempt to show Gebeta would not let crimes go unpunished in trade for not having Nationals kept in custody in foreign nations. The law Enforcement of the nation in question had conducted investigations with the Kriegsmarine before and trusted the law would be kept. The Law also helped ease tensions when crimes occurred.
The Ship would continue on its course for the next few hours before making a stop over to offload some cargo and pick up new cargo. Its current cargo was 2 TEU of gold from its last port call, with another 68 of goods TEU, that was headed to Gebeta in exchange for 2400 boxes of Military Tech. Since the transaction was hush hush, Sea Vixen was un-escorted. Her crew was made u of about 40 ship members, with a detachment of 20 Marines to guard both the Tech and Gold.

GBS Sea Vixen
There was the pings and pangs of auto weapon fire. While the attack was sudden, the Marines had been able to mount a defensive line in the lower decks. They opted to keep the fighting in the halls and rooms, avoiding the cargo bays where superior numbers would win.
Sgt Whilem was pushed against a bulkhead, and took a deep breath before pviting out slightly, holding the breath he took. He aimed and fired.
4 shots, quickly aimed and fired off down the hall. Not knowing if he had hit any one. There had to be casualties on both sides as the fighting took to lower decks. The Marines, left to around 5 now had fallen towards the fore part of the ship. They needed to counter attack and clear for the bridge. The bridge had the needed TACOM to Gebeta High Command. With that the might of the Kriegsmarine Naval Air from carriers or ships would be on the area in a matter of hours. The Kriegsmarine history with pirates, which is what the boarders resembled now, would be total annihilation.
While at first the Pirate tactics had been similar to spec ops, the failure to surround the Marines in cargo holds had told another story. The Marines for instance would have advanced two fold, on in the lower decks, other from the top down. Or, perhaps the plan moved too fast, the Marines too fast to allow for such a position to be taken up.
Either way, the ship would fall. And the nearest Naval asset, the Battleship Loki and her group was 3 days away. It would take long to search for the missing ship as it had a 48 hour grace period that started in 4 hours before it was MIA.

The Marines had been hoping to have the Sea Vixen turned over to them, but had to put up with the Ishaven forces having free reign of the ship. Though, once the Kriegsmarine turned up it was assumed that control would be returned to Gebeta.

The ship was afloat, while the Ishavens had arrived soon after the fight ended, on in which the Marines lost and tactically with held hostile actions, not surrendered, the Marines took the chaos of the Ishaven raid to destroy the ships manifest pertaining to the gold shipment. To explain the Marines presence, it was half true, that they were to guard a technological shipment to a Allied nation, the Sea Vixen taking on a new shipping mission of civil goods after. The Sea Vixen for the mean while would continue under Ishaven orders, able to move under her own power.
Gebeta
Capital Of Bensa
The Situation room was discussing actions to be taken beyond the 5 ships tasked with escorting the Vixen. They also discussed the fact that a terror organization, while Ishaven Intel was incorrect that it was Gebatan in origin, might have been involved. The Group in question was the Desh Liberation Army, fragments of the former Deshokovian army that went under ground following the Gebetan invasion and occupation of main land Desh. While ultimately Desh and Gebeta relations improved, there were still those that despised the occupation. They had ambushed Wehrmacht patrols, as well as a foiled attempt to bomb a air port in Gebeta, which had been discovered by Ishaven Intel. The would be bombers had traveled to Ishaven, then were to go on to Gebeta.
At the moment, not much could be done, with 3 task forces at deployment, the Kriegsmarine was able to mount reactions, but its offensive power was limited as other assets were patrolling home waters. Not to say Gebeta was weak, its forces were still mighty, but they were tied up with missions that could not be changed unless extreme events occurred. One option was the deployment of P-45 patrol planes, twin engine aircraft orginally used as airliners and cargo planes, with conversions to maritime patrol aircraft. But it was all speculation and ideas, and nothing had been sent to the Ishaven government.

They proposed that we concede Little Bird, literally the only thing that may very well compromise our intelligence operations in the Desh Liberation Army. If Knife gets his hands on Little Bird, countless of agents, Ishvaenian AND Gebetans alike will be exposed, and therefore be put in extreme danger. It's sole duty is to be the administrative center of the nation, and restricts access to citizenry. This is an introductory post, I don't expect a reply.
Imperial City, Imperial Intelligence Headquarters
Captain Holrock let out a small sigh as the doors behind him shut with a thud. It's not everyday that an agent of the Imperial Intelligence is allowed into the Commander's section, even if that agent was the Captain of the Covert Ops department. Located on the seventeenth floor, this section was not only the highest one in the building, but also the most lavishly decorated one. While the rest of the headquarters was bland, metallic, and even unwelcoming, the Commander's section boasted the best art the empire had to offer.
The Captain was let into a long hallway lined with all the different types of marble Holrock could imagine, interrupted only with the delicate golden ornamentation the Imperial artists were so known for. On the sides, the marble recessed slightly into the wall to give way to great works of art, depicting great periods of Belhorizoni history. In the middle of the left wall lied the portrait of the Emperor himself, while a smaller one belonging to the Commander hung next to it. While it was uncanny for the Commander of the Imperial Intelligence to hang his portrait near that of the Emperor, it's only one of the many uncanny scenarios that arose when the Crown Prince was given the job.
But none of that mattered now. Something interesting arose from a project Holrock has been working on, and interesting events require the approval of interesting people. As he neared the great mahogany doors sealing the other end of the hallway, Holrock couldn't help but feel intimidated when the marble-like Imperial Guards snapped into action and swung them open.
"Be quick. I have things to do." The voice bellowed from a short, stout man sitting behind a larger than life wooden desk as decorated as its surroundings. But Holrock didn't admire the desk or its surroundings. His entire being was focused on ending this meeting with his head still on his shoulders.
"Your Highness, one of our covert operations has reached a stage requiring your direct approval."
"I've read the file. Terrorist group infiltration, hmm?"
"Yes, your Highness. A separatist group in Gebeta. We've decided to infiltrate it in accord with the goals set out by Imperial Edict 3565."
"Yes, I know all that.", the voice was exasperated. "The Edict gives you permission to do whatever you like without approval from us. Why are you here boy?"
"One of our agents, Your Highness. He's raiding a ship with a small cell of those terrorists. According to our projections, the chances of his capture are extremely high."
The voice grew more exasperated, "So? Terminate him. Wipe him off our records. He no longer exists. You know the damn protocol!"
"Your Highness. The agent is Archduke Obeid's son."
From that moment on, Silence reigned on the room. The Captain kept looking at his Commander, despite all his attempts to look away. He could not. This was the moment of truth. The moment of life or death for him. Archduke Obeid was a friend of the Emperor, and a very influential man. Keeping his happy is tantamount to keeping the emperor happy. A long, long minute later, the voice spoke again, in a lower voice,
"You said you've sent him to the safest operation."
Holbrock dared not reply. He only nodded.
"I'll inform Colonel Jiriloon to arrange his safe return. You might want to remove that watch, boy, it doesn't go well with handcuffs."

I am guessing you are aware of the condition your criminal of an Archuduke, Mr Obeid. I am pretty much aware of the fact he murdered many of your country's top ranking officials, and yet, you defended him. One of our marines, who interrogated certain terrorists of the Desh Liberation Army told us that the Belhorizonians might be involved in this whole debacle. I am guessing you want revenge against Colonel James "Little Bird" Anderson for the capture of Mr.Obeid I presume. I assure you, you are not going to get anything out of messing about in Ishvaenian affairs. Now, I am not directly blaming you for this, but there is clear intel that your nation might be involved. Case in point, we will not surrender Little Bird to either you or the terrorists. Your Archduke not only murdered your people, but he was also responsible for the 1997 Deerston Hall bombings, Ishavaen soil. I expect a reply from you.

Rudestien Airbase

The airbase was a storm of movement, not since the invasion of Desh 3 year ago had the base been alive. Though, this time it was, and for the same reason. The Luftwaffe didnt house aircraft in Desh Soil, it operated from air bases in the mainland or minor allies to support operations in Desh. The Marines housed aircraft, being able to make use of VTOL aircraft, but they were tasked with close air support during engagements with Desh Rebels. As part of a tri fold plan, agents in Gebeta had set to work destroying the Desh influence in Gebeta itself, but the Defense Agency had suggested aa large scale air raid of suspected Desh hold outs in the minor towns, with larger cities would have to be raided by ground forces. The airstrikes would commence in a hour, consisting of G29s and ORCA Bombers using high precision weapons to hit targets.
Meanwhile the situation abroad was getting worse. Gebeta was known to have little tolerance for agents and spies in Gebeta not there under Gebeta Command. Most were held in prisons for 10 years, though alot of the time this sentence was reduced to 5 years of labor.
But things were moving faster than hoped. It most certainly stemmed from the fact that the Desh Government collapsed so rapidly, instead of moving and relocating, it decided to just die, leaving a power vacuum in its wake. Though, this new group seemed more intent on just causing havoc rather than accomplishing set goals. While the rebels were mostly a group of those with liberation in mind, they had forced it so that a prolonged fight would erupt. Rather than letting the rebuilding of Desh carry on, they had it in mind that they were to rebuild with no assistance. A possible but extremely challenging task. While talks had been attempted, the rebels ignored them. They failed to see that Gebeta could only hand over the Desh nation once it was able to stand on its own.
This situation had led to the creation of the new group, which seemed to target all, not just Gebeta.
To: Prime Minister Thomas Campbell
From : Alois Horner
I do agree, but incorrectly stating that this is a Gebeta based group does not help the cause. While they are carrying operations, minor ones that dont seem to be of threats, the main problem lies in the Desh Homeland. The new group conducting operations such as hijacking your naval units is one that recently appeared in the past few months, though we believe they were operating before then. The Hijacking of your vessel may have been a "announcement" mission, letting others know that they do exist. As such, and targeted at the rebels as well, I have authorized air strikes to commence in low population areas with ground based raids in larger population centers.

Perhaps it might be true that the Desh might be involved in all of this chaos. But I assume that Belhorizon might be very much involved in both funding the Desh Liberation Army, and in conjunction, was directly involved in the hostage crisis. According to the new information we found, the Belhorizonis were simply angry that Commander James "Little Bird" Anderson, along with certain Gebetan agents were instrumental in the capture of Belhorizoni Archduke Obeid. Since we are holding a member of the Belhorizoni Imperial Family in prison for crimes against our people, AND for his collaboration with the DLA, the Belhorizonis as of late had threatened war on us, and they exclaimed to have an invasion fleet enroute to both the Ishvaenian home islands and the Gebetan Homelands. I propose we form a military allliance to counter this threat. However, the hostage crisis as of now is still priority number one. I hope to hear a timely reply from you.
