Seargent Hallen (few Ekilionites have last names). Hallen said with his heavy accent (sort of a Yorkshire accent).

"First we will be eating, its almost mid day. Then the general training begins. Hand to hand, gunnery, and some knife work, then dinner. And yes, it is." She came to the end of the corridor, and entered some codes. The door slid open into two, and inside was a white marble like table, with several of the same swirling decorations as the doors and walls. Joslyn pointed to the chairs and said "Please, sit. The others should be along shortly." A woman with a tray came out, putting glasses of water near the seats. When the water was out, she admired the large portaits of older Nua Gealachians, then ducked out. Joslyn took a smaller seat toward the end of the table, next to a rather large but largely bland seat. Most of the seats, contrary to the white table, were black with gold and white trims. She sipped her water, simply sitting. Not watching, not doing much, and to the plain eye, barely breathing.

---

Keo nodded, and repeated the names quietly "Sergent Hallen... Private Haron Casinc... Very well. Follow me. I believe my apprentice and the Federal (Horn, is Federal still OK, or is it something else now?) are in there now. We will meet there, then have lunch with the rest of the students at the temple. I hope you don't mind vegetarian." She turned again, walking toward the doors again, the tail of her robes fluttering gently, just as her scaly, see though wings did.
From ashen flames, rises a new nation, and a new people.

Casinc followed behind her. 'No, I can get by on vegetarian food.' He looked around him at the soaring palace. 'May I ask how many students there are, ma'am?'

(Kushite, not Federal anymore)
Dizzy smiles to the women as she places the water, "Thank you." she watches her leave and then redirects her attention to Joslyn, Dizzy studies her, she seemed like a normal Gealachian, but in some ways Dizzy saw her as something more, powerful maybe, smiling she sips her water and says, "What is there to do around here in our free time?" she puts her water down carefully on the coaster, she looks over her shoulder at the paintings, admiring them as she waits for Joslyn to respond.

"In this city alone, around seven hundred. Though there are ten temples around the planet, this being the largest. Most only hold around 3 or 4 hundred. You two, along with the Kushite, are the only non- Nua Gealachians taking part in the studies, though there have been humans and other races who have paced through." She went through the bulk head, admiring the swirls as she passed. She alughed and said "Normally, if I was inducting new students, I would ask if anyone knew what these symbols meant. I don't suppose any of you know the answer?"
---
Joslyn came back to reality and said "Not to much, On Sundays, by your language, we are allowed to leave the temple. Under watch and bug though. The Assassin's don't want secrets of training getting to far out. In the temple there are lounges, two cafes and a restaurant, all just outside the grounds. Usually though, most spend there time in the Blues district, where some clubs and bars are open."Cracking a hairline smile for a moment, she said "The favorite is the Wisp. Bar and dance club."She went back to her bland exterior, and said "You might like it, depending on your daylight hours. Here, we have a 38 hour day, with almost exactly half of that being daylight, this time of year." She noticed Dizzy looking at the portraits, and said "Do you know who these are?"

She looked up at the mention of Raxi, and said, clicnking on a monitor, which showed a chunk of the palace under repair, "Raxi Jantilion was killed in the Civil War. The first death, technically. A suicide bomber hired by Councilor Daimani killed her and the entire council of the time." Turning to the portraits, she said "Partially, they are some of the Grand Councilors. They are those who have fallen to enemy hands whilst in office." She pointed out the one on the far right. A picture of a young looking Nua Gealachian, blue with the black, white and silver cloak of the grand Councilors. "Thats Raxi there. Of course, Assassin Masters, generals and the like are also up there. In fact, if you look close enough, the pictures are collages of many different fallen soldiers. Some nameless, though some figures. It is supposed to be a memorial."

Dizzy shocked pauses and looks at Raxi, ''Oh my God, I'm so sorry, I knew Grand Counciller Jantillion, she was a good diplomat, helped change the punishment of our military, I wish I had known before I shipped out to Taweo."

'I'm afraid not. If I had to hazard a guess, then I would say something similar to religious iconography. I say that only because it reminds me of the Primus Temple on Gemeca,' he replied thoughtfully.

(Sorry for late intro)

"Hurry up! Were already a day late!" Ailo said. "Ok ok, hold on. Were almost at the landing pad. Hey, I cant help for that warp drive failure." The Pilot said. "Yeah, but it's your ship." The pilot glared at him, then returned his attention to the controls. "Were here." the pilot said. Dropship 507 started hovering over the landing platform. "Ok, thanks for the ride." Ailo said. The hatch then opened and then Ailo jumped out bags in hand. Dropship 507 turned around and then started to leave. He spotted a nearby worker, and ran over to him. "Hey, I'm Private Ailo, here for the training program.

Aboput to answer, Keo saw the ship arrive and leave, leaving the man running to them. She took her pad again and entered his name, and said "Welcome. I was just taking these two to the conference room for briefings, explaining these symbols." She pointed at them and said "Its rather simple really. It is a metaphor for life's never ending mysteries and challenges. Hense the swirl." She turned again, walking to the door, saying "And actually, we don't have religion to to speak. "Interesting. But woudn't it--" she was cut off at the sound of footsteps outside the door. She stood from her seat, and signaled Dizzy to do the same, out of respect. She also went to the board on the wall, and entered a quick set of numbers, setting the candles and chandelier on fire.``

"very well." She opened the door and stepped in, greeting the two already there with a simple bow. Turning, she said "Please, take a seat so we may begin. I must speak to my apprentice for a moment." She nodded at Joslyn, ad they walked into a separate room adjacent to the conference room, where a mirror was over the wall. There, she said "So, Jos, what do you think of the program?" Keo had a deep respect for Joslyn, or as a friend, Jos, and her opinion.

Looking out the one way window, she said "I think its a good idea to inform others of our culture, but I doubt many of them will really understand much of it. Even when I was younger in Primaries, it was difficult to learn the basics of the culture. Plus, I feel that maybe they might... disapprove... of our methods. You remember the Omegan Major who seemed surprised of our ways." Turning her gaze back, she said "You said that they will be bunking with the rest of the initiates?"

Keo nodded, taking a glass from the table inside, sipping from its contents. "Yes. In fact, seeing as one of your bunk mates was initiated into the Priests last year, you will be taking in one of them. Is that fine?"

Joslyn smiled a bit, and said "Do I have a choice?"

to which Keo responded, "You we ever?"

Walking back into the room, Keo and Joslyn sat at the head of the table awaiting for the others to sit to begin.

Joslyn nods at Dizzy, and moves her hand to resemble sitting. She looks to Keo and raises a "eyeborw" (Hairless, what would be an eyebrow), to which Keo nods. She walks out a moment, and when she returns, a small contingent of people comes with her, bearing a large monitor with several other machines hooked up to it. It is placed just next to Keo, and turned on. the Nua Gealachian flag appears on screen, and Keo states "Once we are all settled, I will begin. Again, please take seats. It will not be long."

OOC: I am just going to have to godmod your people who aren't sitting yet, just for times sake.

IC: The rest of the group sat, watching the monitor or Keo.

Keo said in her polite yet commanding tone, "Welcome to the Council Palace. As you all know, you are here to obtain training in the ways of the Assassin priests. This will be difficult, even though you will be recieving the shortened version. Let me first explain the details. The first tier you will be learning will be basic martial skills and some minor problem solving techniques, as well as survival skills. Now I know most of you, in your respective military's, have already learned this. But not like us, I can assure you."

taking a breath, she hit a button on a small remote, changing the screen of the monitor to a live feed of a class of pupils. They were sparring and fighting, some getting cut badly, buut none hurt so bad that they were taken out. "this is a feed from one of the sparring match groups that is occurring now. this is a more advanced class, tier three, but the idea is the same. In tier one, the tier you will all be beginning in, you will learn to fight with daggers, swords and stave's. Whilst it will focus on dagger mastery, in tier two, you will get to choose to specialize in one of the three. You will also learn to use the 1200 TRIS laser rifle, the P90 Laser Pistol, and the Holo Optics that are used for computer access and hacking. And again, minor problem solving, such as puzzles and games, and survival skills will be taught. You will also, as I explained in the letter, be bunking, eating, training and sparring with the other pupils. This might seem odd, for most of them have never left system before, but you should get along nicely."

Pausing, she said after a moment to take it all in, "Now, my personal apprentice, Joslyn, will say a few words and demonstrate a quick showing with her daggers. Joslyn?"

Joslyn stood, her bland and emotionless face still the same. She drew her daggers from her sleeves, revealing the hidden positions. Some guards removed the decorations from the table, and she jumped on. With a flare she did several jumps and spins, sometimes bringing the knives close to the applicants faces or necks, but not drawing blood. She did a ballet like spin, using her left hand, still with a blade in it, to sip around and around, before jumping back, and landing at the end of the table. She stood there, sheathing her blades. Then, with gusto, she walked on the table, pacing from end to end. "This is something that most of you will learn to do. It has no name, but it is just one of the things that all of you will at least know the schematics to. You will also be learning the way of our people. Our place in the world."

Stopping in the dead center of the table, she said "Place. This is a thing held dear to us. Our place is something we all hold dear. Everyone has one, but some of us our lost and do not find it for a long, long time. I, like many of my comrades in Assassin Priest caste, are lucky enough to have found our place among the assassins. It is something that can not be found really, it must find you." She jumped down from the table, over Dizzy's head, landing feet first. "All of you, we hope, will find a place among our ranks. Normally, after graduation, as you would say, you would be sent on a year long mission to map the stars that have never been seen before. You, on the other hand, will not. You will be given the lowest ranks, and be determined by our people as one of the leaders of our society. This comes with a price though. At the end of the training, you will have the option of two tattoos. One, similar to mine, that is extensive and personal. It winds the entire body, marking you for life. The other is smaller and hidden on the shoulder, depicting the same idea, but much more... discreet."

She sat down, and Keo stood, clapping. "Any questions for me or Joslyn here, or shall we be off for lunch?"

"Are these normal swords or like my own Power sword. By this I mean, is it capable of cutting through armour. Ekilion blades slice through metal and skin alike due to the power field around it. I can show you how it works later if you want." Hallen said.

"No, they are regular swords and daggers. though they are made of the same metal as our ships. Meant to be flexible, durable, and used for almost anything. They are able to cut though regular battle armor. Though remember, we are assassins. We see open battle, but not usually with blades. The swords as very good though, and can at least damage heavier armor, such as the power armor used by the Kush, though it wouldn't cut through it. And that is generous of you, but the blades are somewhat ceremonial and sentimental, as well as dangerous. You will find out more durring the second tier briefing why. Thank you, though. Any other questions?"
