A series of massive explosions rocked the industrial city of Lawrenceburg early Sunday afternoon. At 1:07 pm CBST, the Royal Provincial Building was destroyed by several powerful detonations. The initial blasts are believed to have killed approximately 55 people with the remaining deaths caused by the structural collapse of the building.
The damage caused by the explosions was not limited to just the RPB. Shockwaves from the blast blew out windows in the surrounding area as well as structural damage to several buildings, which have been evacuated at this time.
Currently, the death count sits at 237 people and it may continue to rise with 300+ in intensive care in the surrounding hospitals and medical centers. The Police nor the Royal Investigative Service have released a cause behind the explosions. Many witnesses describe the explosions as shocking and purposeful in nature.
One woman, who asked to stay anonymous, said "I really have no clue. I saw the entire thing from down the street, from where I was eating lunch. I saw just traffic sitting there at a red light then all of a sudden, BOOM! A huge fiery flash of light covered the street and a loud boom rocked throughout the city. After it died down, I looked up and saw black smoke billowing out from a crater where I assume the explosion was. The face of RPB was destroyed, rubble everywhere, glass in the street. People were screaming, bodies were strewn about, and it looked like a scene from a war movie. I was still recovering when another explosion went off on the other side of the building. I don' know who would do something like this but, I just am hurting right now emotionally. We all are."
When reached for comment, Lawrenceburg Police Spokesperson Altus Ilioak gave little information at this time, as they do not know a whole lot. "At this time, we ask for the nation and world's thoughts and prayers for all those affected. We are still conducting search and rescue missions in the rubble of the RBC. Our firefighters, police officers, and just general citizens are working long hours to locate survivors. We ask that any and all who can donate blood, time, clothes, food, and water please do so. We must unite as a country against the threats we face in this world."
The Royal Office of the King released a statement on the bombing:

This is the second major attack on Lawrenceburg recently. Last week, the Black Bones killed two civilians in a suburban shopping mall before a police officer shot the perpetrators. The Royal Provincial Building was the provincial seat of power up in the north. It housed the government offices for many different ministries and employed around 700 people within.
