Forwålde, Valorian, Rosenborg. The Skaldian Free Trade Association (SFTA) has eventually been established between Nugensil, Thyvor and Skånemark. This afternoon the foreign ministers of the three nations signed the treaty in Forwålde.
"This is a big step for the skaldian nations!" said King Hallvard II.
Besides the Free Trade Zone, Nugensils foreign minister signed a treaty of mutual assistance with Thyvor and Skånemark. Critics say, this could be the end of the nugensils policy of neutrality. "This is not right..." said Prime Minister Hamlet Einar Fallenvatt, "The security of skaldia is substantial for us. But Nugensil will not be member of a global alliance that will pull us in any conflict on the continent. This pact is absolutely a defensive one."

King Adomas to attend Coronation

King Adomas has announced that he would attend the coronation of Nugensil's new King Hallvard. He announced that "it is important that we meet with this new king. I knew his predecessor well, and he was a great man. It is important that we meet this new man, to meet him and support him through the tough times that must follow the loss of a parent."

There has been speculation of a planned free trade agreement between the two nations, which could be signed whilst Adomas is is in their nation.

From the capital to the rural farming communities Patriotism is a largely shown attitude. In large cities military parades are held annually. However today, a regular military parade was interrupted by gunfire. All around Heddwich planned attacks on military parades took place. The perpetrators? The Southern Heddwich Separatist Movement (SHSM). They demand control of Southern Heddwich and the Visoka Mountain Range. Throughout the nation over 10 attacks took place. The deadliest attack being a large suburb by the name of Vyapa right on the edge of the Kalash Forest. During the small parade of only 175 troops a force of 35 Rebels opened fire on civilian and military personnel. The Firefight lasted a total of 3 days until the entire SHSM force. A total of 75 more Heddwichian Soldiers were deployed to disperse the SHSM rebellion.


The total count over all the attacks numbered 135 SHSM dead, 5 HAF (Heddwichian Armed Forces) dead, 9 civilian casualties, 300 injured.

Breaking News: Joint Venture for a Polar Research Station

Forwålde; Nôrz; Rosenborg. The governments of Skånemark, Astine and Nugensil agreed upon building a polar research station in the Antarcturus. While Nugensil will cover 40% of the costs for building and maintenance, the other two nations will each cover another 30%. The station will be completed in September and will be staffed around the year. While 90% of the capacity in the station is reserved for the nations of the joint venture, the other 10% may be rented by any other interested nation for a maximum of 6 month in a row. In addition to the main research areas of meteorology, geophysics and atmospheric chemistry, the station is also equipped for studies in infrasound and marine acoustics. And now, the weather…

Thyvor to Begin Construction of International Trade Center

A few months ago, Thyvor agreed proposals with various architects across the world to begin the planning for the construction of the new International Trade Center, which will allow nations inside the Skaldian region to traverse more easily in trade. It will feature three airport landing strips, and will be placed on a seperate island from Thyvor, just off the coast near Verrmé. It will be a great project, not only for Thyvor, but also for the other nations. Any allies of Thyvor will also be allowed to land and trade in this center. This will improve stringy relations. Now, the planning is complete, and the construction has begun! We await the construction to be complete with eager eyes, as the Thyvorian Directorate have declared that it should only take two to three years.

Yesterday, 17th of July 2016, a rebel faction of the Royal Navy attempted to murder His Royal Highness, the Sultan of Ardaljuzur, Aban "Da'ud" min Ardal, may God be with him, and His Son, His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ardaljuzur, Sayyid min Ardal, may God be with him. This is the 7th Assassination attempt on the Sultan this year.

At 20:14, as the Sultan headed for the Sultanate High Palace, 12 military men attempted to kill both the Sultan and the Emir. Sultan ordered their punishment in site, a Royal Guard told IBNA the sentence given by the Sultan:

They shall be stoned by the population, then, the ones that remain alive shall have their backs cut with a scimitar, after that, they shall die by a firing squad. Their corpses shall then be given to feed the Sultan's Lions.

The death penalty is common in Ardaljuzur and given to most of the crimes. Barbaric methods are still used, commonly referred by the government as "traditional executions", the legal types of execution are:

TROOPS SENT TO FALCONIA

Buenos Diaz: The Militar Junta of Argontina today admitted, that several hundred Marines and Naval Troops were sent to the Antarcturus Island of Falconia. The Troops are supposed to make sure that no nation forgets that Argontina is claiming Falconia as part of the nation of Argontina.

A military base camp will be established near to the argontinian polar research station. Also the foreign minister of Argontina spoke about plans to establish a first city on the island, which will be inhabited around the year and give a basement for fishery. "We hope to find oil there as well soon!"

After the announcement of the argontinian government to station troops on Falconia in the Antarcturus Resolution Zone, the government of Nugensil sent a protest note to Buenos Diaz, including an ultimatum to withdraw the troops within two days. Meanwhile the ambassador of Argontina was summon to give an explication for the militarization of a neutral area.
"We do not recognize any land claims in Antarcturus. And we are not willing to accept a military occupation of Falconia. We urge Argontina to withdraw their troops. If not, we are prepared to remove that troops by any means necessary!" said Prime Minister Einar Fallenvatt in a press conference this afternoon.

During an assembly that took place in Saekyu this morning, Chunmeian prime minister Tam Song-min took it upon herself to strongly condemn the recent actions of the Argontinian government on the island of Falconia, including their claim to sovereignty and their military presence on the island.

"Argontina's ludicrous claim of sovereignty is far from the real issue here, as one could simply choose to ignore such sabre-rattling and pretend the issue doesn't exist. However, their government has recently made the decision to send military forces to the island of Falconia, an act which is highly illegal and severely risks the status of Antarcturus as a protected zone in which only research stations are legally allowed to be established. I think I speak for every sane government on this planet when I say that international law is being ripped up and spit on right this moment."

The prime minister took note of the refusal of Argontina to withdraw their armed forces from Falconia and announced that her government, with the full approval of the president, would levy economic sanctions against Argontina and suspend all military cooperation with the country for as long as they continued to maintain their military presence on the island.

Nugensil has approved economical sanctions and an embargo on all goods coming from and going to Argontina this afternoon, after the Ultimatum to withdraw the argontinian troops from the Island of Falconia in the Antarcturus expired. "We still hope that the militar junta of Argontina will get to common sense and withdraw that troops and the settlements on Falconia. Maybe the sanctions and the embargo will show Argontina, that they can't do what they want against the international community." says Prime Minister Einar Fallenvatt this evening on a press conference in Forwålde. "But we also reserve other means to solve this crisis for ourselves." If this also includes a military engagement is not clear.

Antarcturic Station Built Under Turmoil

San Pablos del Esperito- Nuevo Libera has constructed a new Antarcturic research station, "Estacion de la Revolucion," with the cooperation of Niuewveldnederzettingen. Meanwhile, on the Antarcturic island of Falconia, the Argontinian government has stationed troops in clear violation of the Antarcturic Claims Resolution. Nuevo Libera is petitioning Argontina through their shared embassies to remove the troops. Nuevo Libera is currently the only economic trading partner with Argontina after sanctions were put in place, being the only source of Argontina's iron, firearms, and most of it's manufactured goods. The Foreign Affairs Minister of Nuevo Libera, Manuel Riveria, has said, "This looks like the start of World War III if I've ever seen it." The Nuevo Liberan military has stepped up it's training.

DRILLING RIG OPENED!

Buenos Diaz: The first of six planned drilling rigs in Falconia was opened today. Argontinian Scientists want to find out if and how much oil may be found on Falconia.

With this step Argontina wants to get more independent from oil deliveries of foreign countries, especially oil from Nugensil which puts an embargo on Argentina earlier today. "If we find oil in Falconia, this embargo will do no harm to us. The impact on the environment will be minimal!" says argontinian science advisor Colonel Mendoza.

LOST HYUN-MI AIRLINER IDENTIFIED

The sunken remains of an Alvaro 414 commercial aircraft discovered on Tuesday in the northern Medic Ocean have been positively identified as those of Hyun-mi Airlines Flight MHU-473, which vanished 5 years ago over the same general area.

Flight MHU-473 took off from Jaechul International Airport on January 3, 2011, carrying 139 passengers and 8 crew on its intended journey to Leonidrie, and had been flying over the Medic Ocean some 390 miles from the Rusien mainland when it abruptly stopped responding to communications and disappeared off the radar. A search-and-rescue effort led by Chunmeian authorities with the assistance of international police and military forces recovered scattered parts of the downed airliner, including a chunk of the left wing that appeared to have been sheared off during descent. However, until earlier this week, the aircraft itself never turned up.

Attention was brought back to the incident in February this year after another waterlogged portion of the plane was discovered just away from a beach on the eastern coast of North Aurelia, having become lodged there some time ago. Immediately afterwards, an independent search effort commenced in the north Medic Ocean, where the plane's remains were eventually found at a low depth approximately 53 miles from its last recorded location.

The wreckage was barely recognizable upon discovery, with the only "intact" part of the plane being the cockpit section, which was buried among a sand-strewn rock formation several meters from what initial observers described as a "scrap heap" of mangled parts. The cause of the crash is yet unknown, as efforts to recover the flight recording equipment have been unsuccessful.

In other news, the recent sanctions placed on the rogue nation of Argontina are expected to be increased as the South Aurelian state continues to refuse demands to withdraw its illegal military force from Falconia. The recent establishment of an oil platform at the island, internationally recognized as part of the Antarcturus Protected Zone, has only served to worsen relations between the Argontinian government and their Chunmeian counterparts.

"The junta in Argontina again flaunts their self-proclaimed 'sovereign rights' over a protected zone with their recent opening of an oil platform on Falconia, no doubt intended to step all over international regulations in an attempt to exploit whatever resources it can get its sticky fingers on. This government, as a staunch supporter of all resolutions concerning the protected status of Antarcturus, will dial up the sanctions against Argontina and is now considering joint military action with friendly nations in order to make our stance very clear to the deluded jingoists running that excuse for a country."

These were the words of the prime minister as she once again expressed her vehement disapproval for the recent actions of Argontina's government on the island of Falconia, which they claim as part of their sovereign territory despite a recent ruling forbidding any recognition of claims on Antarcturus. The actions implemented by Song-min's government went to a vote which passed by 385-26, with 5 abstentions.

Forwålde. This morning nugensilian marines and navy forces began an invasion of the island of Falconia in the Antarcturus. The surprising offensive hit hard the argontinian defenders, who occupied the island illegitimate. The situation is not clear at the moment. The government of Nugensil confirmed, that the Ambassador of Nugensil in Argontina left the country secretly this night, just a few hours before the invasion started. There are no reports of casualties so far. A press conference of the government will be later today. We will keep you informed as soon as we have news.

BREAKING: MOBILIZATION! Falconian Situation Devolves into War!

San Pablos del Esperito, Puerto Stanley- The NLS General Delgrado, a Nuevo Liberan naval cruiser, was sunk while escorting a trade convoy in international waters near Falconia. The ship's sinking caused a loss of 125 Nuevo Liberan sailors. Experts, with the aid of grainy footage shot by a brave seaman, state that the ship was struck by a torpedo on it's port side, which was facing in the direction of Argontina at the time. Thusly, all trade with Argontina has been ordered to cease. A small part of the military is being mobilized and trained in case of war, while the Nuevo Liberan embassy in Argontina is being temporarily withdrawn. Additionally, the Argontine embassy in Nuevo Libera is being forcibly closed amid widespread protests in Esperito. The Primer Ministro has condemned Argontina's actions, speaking in front of the Parlamento today, "We will not let a crackpot dictator and his junta break international law and do whatever they want, wherever they want. Government Official claims there is "a prision in the SRS".

A Government official from the Department of Propaganda and Political Relations claimed there is a prison in the Sultan Research Station (SRS) in Antarcturus, the official claimed "it is now a good time" to leak this information so "the world can look at Ardaljuzur and see how evil it is". "'Aamir" how the official chose to be identified, showed the IBNA files of over 3 thousand political prisoners, mainly Activists for the Republic and Protesters, the inmates work "as slaves" in freezing conditions. 'Aamir claimed everyone going to the SRS is sentenced to "torture, freezing, work and death", the SRS was built in 2001, and since then there were sent over 14 thousand people to the SRS prison, according to 'Aamir's files.

"It was a personal request of the Sultan" 'Aamir added. "They are sent to the SRS, tortured to confess their crimes and then work to make gold objects for the fun of the Sultan and his family."..." After sometime, they are sent out of the prison and end up dying from the temperatures".

The Government claimed it is nothing but a lie and the real person behind 'Aamir should be sentenced to death for defamation and threat to national security.

Multiple Protests Form into Riots on the Streets of Esperito- Capital in Shock

San Pablos del Esperito- Many peaceful and sanctioned protests were scheduled to go on yesterday in Esperito's parks and public squares. What ended up happening was a bloodbath of riots across the capital, leaving 19 dead and upwards of 100 wounded. There were throngs of pro-Falconia intervention and anti-war people attacking each other, anti-Di Medici protesters attacking the police, and random objects burning everywhere, making travel (and safety) a nightmare. There were also protesters who had just learned of the supposed SRS prion in the Antarcturus, who were the only group of people who stayed largely peaceful throughout the event. As night started to fall, large swarms of riot police arrived on the scene, wielding tear gas, rubber bullets and military gear. After this, the protests became equivalent of a massive drunken brawl, as rioters attacked anyone in sight, and the police beat any rioter they could find. The affected streets today, still covered in blood, broken teeth and smashed protest signs, are closed. The city is stunned, dazed and confused. An anonymous man, whose picture is shown above, spoke for the whole of Esperito when he was in San Andreas Hospital: "I dunno, man, I was just standing there one minute, shouting my lungs out protesting intervention in Falconia, having a grand old time, and the next minute, my car is on fire and someone's caused my head to split open with a rubber bullet. It just all happened at once, man. Our city was a warzone for a day." This is a developing story. More details as they arise.

Foul Play Suspected in Search for Missing Teen

San Pablos del Esperito- The police has been conducting a country-wide search for President Di Medici's son Andre, who disappeared Monday night at approximately 1 AM. He was last seen after leaving a midnight function with close friends. He is aged 17 years old, around 5'7 tall, and has blond hair and brown eyes. Foul play is suspected, as several death threats were sent to the President and his son addressed from the president before them. (Police do not suspect him of the actions, and believe the letters were addressed by someone else.) Possible motives include, but are not limited to, the debacle in Falconia. Police suspect the kidnapper stole away the child in order to force the president's hand. The president announced he would not be deterred, saying, "We are not some form of banana republic that bends to the will of a common criminal! I will not change my stance in Falconia. GLORIA!" Al citizens are encouraged to suggest any and all information they have. This is a developing story. More as it follows.

MHU-473 VICTIMS REMEMBERED

The re-discovery last month of the doomed Hyun-mi Airlines Flight MHU-473 in the northern Medic Ocean has ushered in a revival of commemorations geared towards remembering the 147 victims of the tragic incident that occurred on January 3, 2011.

Most notably, a memorial plaque was unveiled at Jaechul International Airport, with the names of all 139 passengers and 8 crew members etched into its surface. Leading the ceremony was Jaechul mayor Han In-seok, who famously canceled his booking on the ill-fated flight the night before its departure, and in attendance were local residents, government officials and families of the deceased. President Tokko Ja-kyung also made a statement on national television, praising the efforts of the search teams and expressing hope that the plane's flight recorder would be recovered soon, as the cause of the crash is still unknown.

Seong News International, no doubt with the support of every Chunmeian citizen, would again like to express their condolences to the families of the deceased, as well as the countries listed below that lost citizens that day.

PRIME MINISTER FLUBS CRITICISM

In other news, the prime minister has come under fire recently for her "colorful" remarks in reference to the country of Argontina and its government. While most of the criticism has come from Argontinian groups and people opposing the sanctions against the country, certain politicians also believe Ms. Song-min's comments were out of line and "not what one should expect from an official of her position and stature".

However, none of this seems to have discouraged the prime minister at all. Perhaps the most notable example of this occurred in a commune meeting last Saturday, when a senior politician asked her what she sought to accomplish through provocative comments aimed at foreign governments. Undeterred, she simply stood up and responded "Prove me wrong and I'll gladly retract my statements. Otherwise, you're just wasting my time with your tiresome charades."

Naval Helicopter Crashes

A Sea Lion utility helicopter, belonging to the Marina Militare Vallentia, crashed into the sea due to a mechanical malfunction of the helo's main rotor. The helicopter's main rotor locked in place while it was airborne violently ripping off of the helicopter which unfortunately sentenced the crew to a watery grave. The helicopter and bodies of the crew were recovered, but investigators they are still trying to figure out exactly how the rotor jammed. The helicopter was placed on a truck bed and sent elsewhere to be poked and prodded. The 4 crewman's families have been notified, names of the crewman will be released Friday morning at the families' request.
