Peace for the Heavens -- A Conference between:
Ardoki and Guadalupador

The City of New Orleans, N Awlins was a buzz with information that had just come out via the New Orleans Advocate. With little information known on the happenings, it was known that the City of New Orleans would play host to a peace conference between the Ardokian Social Democratic Republic and The Federal Union of Guadalupador. Rumor was that parts of downtown would be closed off for vehicular traffic while still being accessible for foot traffic. The people of New Orleans were, of course, used to this as it happened all the time during Carnival Season.

Also, with various construction projects occurring all over the city, the people were used to area's blocked off to traffic. The new StreetCar line that is in the process of being installed through the Warehouse District (Starting from the current Loyola Ave line, going down Howard Ave, going around Lee Circle to Andrew Higgins Drive to Convention Center Boulevard, then turning on Henderson Street to connect with the current Riverfront Line), the people of the city already have adapted to the changes that would be necessary for the safety of the delegations.

The plan that was put in place by President Lerandu was for the aircraft of the Delegates to land at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, where they will be transferred to armored Helicopters and flown along the river, with armed helicopter escort, to the Helipad designated as 7N0, located at the Superdome, where they will then be driven down Poydras Street to the Embassy Complex. The plan was set in place, vehicles were on standby on the top floor of the Superdome Garage, near the Helipad.

Meanwhile, at the Embassy Complex, Chefs from all across New Orleans were preparing snack sized portions of their signature dishes for the opening ceremony. From Crawfish Etouffee to Beignets from the world famous Cafe Du Monde, this would be considered a Taste of New Orleans for the assembled Deligations.

The scene at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport looked like a standard operating day, except that on the far end of the airport there was a large number of UH-24 Fox Utility Helicopters near where the Air Cargo aircraft normally come in, and 300 feet away from them were a large number of AH-24 Attack Helicopters, which would be used for close air protection of the delegates as they make their way into the City. This mass air transportation effort was made possible through the joint operations of the N Awlins National Police Force (Troop F out of Kenner, N Awlins), which was previously the Louisiana State Police. The men and women of Troop F have hundreds of hours of flight time in real world applications.

President Lerandu had gone over the steps of the arrival of the Deligations with his advisors more than fifteen times before it was finalized, and he made sure that everything was set by touring all the facilities personally to ensure that everything was ready for the arrival of the Delegates. After he did one final check with his tour, he returned to his office to send the final notice to the nations that would be sending Deligations to New Orleans. He typed it up, put in the various email addresses, and hit the send button.

It was a bright and sunny day in New Orleans. The tropics were unusually calm so there would be no risk of a Hurricane at all within the timeframe for the conference, which suited the Republic best. The Schedule was set already, with the Meet and Greet that was originally scheduled to begin the events was, since then, taken off the table altogether due to the late arrivals of all the Delegations. So the 'snacks and drinks' was altered, and the drinks were mixed into the meal schedule. Some might think that the N Awlinians were attempting to get the delegations drunk, but drinking was just part of life in the Big Easy. What other places on earth have an entire section of the city, that was within walking distance of the Embassy Complex, dedicated to the history of drinking within the city, with dozens of bars, restaurants, and other establishments serving hundreds of different mixed drinks daily. One can't argue that New Orleans is one of the most complex cities in the world.
The People of New Orleans were also an interesting bunch, with immigrants from all over the world, it could be said that it was, indeed, an International City. Everyone somehow makes their way into New Orleans, from the Far East to Europe, to Latin America. After New Orleans has become an epicentre of International Trade and Goodwill. It was here that Emanuel Chevrolet made his home in the early 1990's, after moving here from California. He ran for Mayor of New Orleans in 2002, 2006 and again in 2010. But, after the Republic gained it's Independence from the United States, he answered a calling from the President of N Awlins to join the Department of Foreign Affairs. He was quickly assigned to the Ambassadorial Wing.
Emanuel Chevrolet was now the Republics Ambassador to the International Freedom Coalition. He quietly stood within the lobby of the Embassy Complex, waiting patiently for the motorcades to arrive with the delegations from around the world. This would be the first time in history that a Conference of International Leaders was to be held in New Orleans since the 1800's. The only other major event that would be considered any international significance was the Worlds Fair of the early 1980's, but that was a flop and had cost the city more money than what was brought in. It was a mitigated disaster of planning and funding. Very few International Visitors came to the city, the carnival rides, as well as the varied exhibits that were built at the time, were torn down shortly afterwards as it was a waste of time for them to remain.
Manny, as he was called by his friends, walked out the front door of the complex after getting word that the Delegates were approaching. He looked and saw the New Orleans Police Department driving down the street in a standard motorcade, with three police motorcycles in front, and between each black sedan, there was one of the brand new NOPD Ford Expeditions and two more police motorcycles in the rear. As they approached the building, the NOPD Vehicles created a perimeter on the street, diverting traffic from Poydras street down the other section of Convention Center Boulevard and making traffic from Canal Street turn around and detour down South Peters Street behind the Harrah's Casino.
As the Delegates exited their vehicles, Manny waited until they got within earshot of him and spoke up, "Welcome to New Orleans, the City that Care Forgot. At least, that's how it was when we were under the thumb of the United States. Now, the people of N Awlins care about this city, as well as the rest of our small, but prosperous, Republic." He nodded at the, "If you will please follow me, we will make our way through the building and out the back door to Riverfront Park, where we will board the Paddleboater Creole Queen. The Chefs on board are already preparing lunch, and the stewards will deliver your plates as soon as they are done. Now, if you please." he begins to walk into the building, the delegations following closely behind him.

Vice President Isar Bazam handed his briefcase filled with important papers to his aide. "Abdul, look after this until the meeting starts, and get me a ballpoint pen, I dropped it into the river be accident, food for the fishes I assume. Thanks." The young man speed off as Bazam focused his mind on the health implications for the fish if they ate ink, but he realized he was drifting off into a nonsensical thought train and walked up to the Vice Premier of the Federal Union of Guadalupador as he walked up the gangway to the beautiful paddle boater.
"Vice Premier. It's good to see you." Vice President Bazam shook his counterparts hand and said. "I've always wanted to ask what others think of the office of Vice Presidential or Vice Premiership. Apparently some holders of the office in various countries find it useless. I however, find it an ideal place for public service. I feel I can do a lot in my position. As I hope we can achieve much today." Bazam knew that today, he was the Dorians closest ally. He was their most committed defender. He was grateful and pleasantly surprised at the participation of SACTO nations in the defense of Dorian actions, but they were not dedicated the defense of the FUG's self-determination. They might however, spice things up. If they perceived this day to be Comedy Central's Roast of the Ardokian Commonwealth. We all have to maintain dignity, that was the a prevalent thought in the VP's mind. Despite the fact that the woman in front of us represents a perpetrator of Genocide. The Vice President stepped on the vote and awaited further guidance from his hosts. The boat was indeed a sight, and his mind drifted to this relic from another age in then present day, before his head swiveled back to President Lerandu.

1039 Hours: New Orleans, Republic of N Awlins. (10/8/26)

David Sisho, Vice Premier of Guadalupador arrived at the Embassy Complex taking the sights in as he walked slowly through the complex. His Chief of Staff, Marna Waldthi walked alongside him, clutching a black briefcase. Although the Vice Premier looked confident, Waldthi noticed that he was slightly on edge: "Problems, Mr. Sisho?" Marna asked.

"Nah, nothing a drink can't fix. Just remembering why we're here." Sisho said. He thought of the future conference, and was about to continue his thought before hearing the Hatayan Vice President. Sisho switched to English. "Ah, Vice President Bazam. It's a pleasure." David shook his colleague's hand. "It's good to see another executive second-in-command. Service to my people comes first here, as always. Then I may see the sites. Believe me, in Guadalupador I can't get enough of the work that I do as Vice Premier, its quite thrilling negotiating with the opposition in the National Assembly, and bureaucracy." He then walked out into the park toward the riverboat. "Come, Mr. Bazam. Let us negotiate." He walked over to Emanuel Chevorlet and accompanied him as well. "What a beautiful city you have, I need to return here after this is all over to be a tourist." Sisho chuckled.

The Honourable Kennedy Rowan Coleman, Minister of External Affairs of the Council of Ministers of the Ardokian Social Democratic Republic and Member of the Grand Legislative Assembly of the Ardokian Social Democratic Republic, calmly strutted into the Embassy Complex with an air of dignity and sophistication fitting of a respected diplomat. She was followed by several assistants and numerous other aids, who would be quite useful in the coming spectacle. Three of the aides were towing an incredibly large black suitcases behind them; only the Minister knew what was inside them (well, and customs at the airport, but for the others at the conference it was a secret, for now anyway).

Coleman caught a glimpse of the Hatayan Vice President, Isar Bazam, not far from the Creole Queen, the boat they would be going on. It was a beautiful boat, Coleman quickly took a picture of it and sent it in a text message to her President.

She walked over to Bazam and humbly introduced herself. 'Hi, I'm Kennedy Rowan Coleman; Ardokian Minister of External Affairs. It's a pleasure to meet you. I've always admired Hatay, and hope for friendlier relations between our two similar countries.' What would be Bazam's response? Would he fall for Coleman's charm? Or insult her very undiplomatically?

"Indeed," Many replied. When I first moved here, I was accommodated by the beauty of certain parts of the city, and the simplicity of others. Which is why back in 2014, one Fox News Commentator upset the whole city when he made a comment that was to the effect of 'the city of New Orleans, outside the French quarter, is a festering snake pit'. The city and into an uproar over that, and I don't blame them. We have many beautiful areas to offer tourists, including City Park, the Bywater area, the Carrollton Neighborhoods and more. But that's a discussion for another time, I think. "

Ardokian courtship of Hatay was always so nagging. How did Hatay's abolishment of all ties and hostility not blow them off? Hatay extremely disliked Ardoki and favored strong action against them. But Bazam was a polite man. He shook Coleman's hand and responded with dignity and grim facial expression.
"Greetings Minister, and apologies. I have to inform you that the government of Hatay is not interested in resuming diplomatic relations due to well obvious reasons including allegations of genocide, political purges, personality cult, and suppressing political and civil freedoms via "Hate Speech" laws that go well beyond Hate Speech as too suppress anti-government talk. As well as various reasons expressed by FUG and the international community. I regret to inform you that today and in the near future, we are against each other." Vice President nodded with a sense of finality and turned to the N Awlins party to discuss the beauty of the city.
"This city is indeed beautiful. I concur with the Vice Premier when he says he wants to visit as a tourist. Aside from this conference, the Republic of Hatay and private corporations in the Republic are interested in investing in this beautiful city with such promise."

'You do understand ...' Kennedy Rowan Coleman began. 'That Ardoki's human rights record has undergone vast improvements from just a year ago. Our people have all the rights and freedoms common in liberal democracies, in addition to many other rights.' She paused for a moment, scanning the area around for her briefly. 'While Ardoki was never as bad as many people claim, we have reformed to meet the requirements of liberal democracy, we are a respectable state now.'

The Ardokian Social Democratic Republic was a guided/illiberal/semi-democratic dominant-party state; while elections in Ardoki would be considered free and fair by most election observers, the ruling ASDLP (Ardokian Social Democratic Labour Party) maintains power through a combination of omnipresent propaganda and a strong culture of conformity so common throughout Ardokian history.

Coleman, like the vast majority of Ardokians, has a strong aversion to dissent; the lack of unanimous agreement is deeply unsettling and should preferably be avoided. However, in order to appease the liberal democrats who do not understand Ardokian culture, reforms had been enacted to allow open dissent against the government as long as it didn't threaten to undermine the stability of the government or tear apart the very fabric binding society together.

Would the other representatives understand Ardokian culture? Would the other representatives accept the democratic choice of the vast majority of citizens of Ardoki? Would the other representatives be willing to compromise with a country they deem an international pariah or rouge state? Only time would tell. But Coleman, would have to avoid acting like a fool long enough to get a desirable outcome for the Social Democratic Republic.

Vice President Bazam had no reason to trust the Ardokian Minister who continued to nag him. Their word had no validity in his eyes or the eyes of almost all the international community. Bazam would be forced to refute Coleman again.
"I'm sorry Minister, but I cannot trust the representative of a nation whose leader is wanted for crimes against humanity by mine and many other governments represented here. Even if you have improved, the lack of action or punishment for the crimes of the past is to say the least concerning. And the lack of representation for more right-wing parts of the spectrum. You and I may fundamentally disagree with then, buthey have opinions that must be allowed to be voiced and acknowledged. I hope we'll be able to still reach a satisfactory understanding here."

'But why should right-wing parties have representation in the Grand Legislative Assembly if voter's preferences support the election of left-wing parties?' she questioned rhetorically. 'In Ardoki, political parties of all ideologies, with the understandable exclusion of hate groups, may campaign in elections and express their views and policies without restriction, with the understandable exception of hate expression. If the people elect left-wing candidates, we must accept their democratic will and ensure those candidates may take their place as members of the Legislative Assembly.'

"My question is wheather "expressing hate" is overreach. A party can express whatever it wants in Hatay. As long as it is peaceful, a fascist party can contend. It is the people's will that decisively rejects them. Ardoki is suppressing opinions. Hatay cannot endorse that ."

Entering the halls was a tall figure - Admiral Amakusa Hachirou of the Imperial Nihonese Navy, with a beautiful, dark haried woman being his wife and ambassador of the Empire of Greater Nihon to N Awlins, Amakusa Ritsuko. Both took their positions on the benches behind the table with flag of the empire of Greater Nihon behind them.

"Ladies and gentelmen, we would like to officially thank the government of Louisiana for inviting us to this conference" begun politely admiral while bowing. He was demonstrating full culture, great self control and confidence - likely to make a positive impression "In the name of the Empire of Greater Nihon, I am inclined not to act questioning will of Ardokian voters, but rather behaviour of Ardokian government over the past ages, which given Ardokian state so dark reputation. Allow me to officially present the evidence gathered by the Tokkeitai, the Nihonese Naval Intelligence, in here."

With that, the Admiral begun display on a projector provided by the conference's organizers.

"The first one is from 28 March 2015 - and portrays a massacre carried in Aanglandia by Ardokian forces." said the admiral as the video started playing:

As they were herded into the middle of the opening at the bottom of the stadium. A lady on the loudspeaker said: "These people you see below, are not only enemies of the Progressive Revolution, but humanity itself. They have plotted incessantly to not only deprive you all of your great and many freedoms, but to overthrow the Progressive Socialist Labour Party itself. Such counter-revolutionary and reactionary activity must not be accepted in the Protectorate of Aanglandia. These reactionary villains have been sentenced to death; for their crimes against the people of Aanglandia, Ardoki, and the world. May the Progressive Revolution triumph! Long live Progressivism!" There was a pause for a moment before a pre-recorded voice of another women was broadcast, a disturbingly cheery voice: "Remember. The Party loves you. Love it back."

Only a few moments later, the civilians down below were slaughtered by the rapid and devastating fire of machine guns. It only took an instant, before they were all mowed down. The crowd's response was delayed as it took them by surprise. However screams and cries were then heard, they went on for almost half an hour, as they were ordered out of the stadium by soldiers of the Party.

"As we can see now, Ardokians did not even attempted to conceal a massacre carried out by their government. Let us carry on. We are discussing an aircraft shotdown and subsequent admission. First one is a document, second one being an official broadcast of Ardokian government." The admiral switched slide.

The ANS Tineareach was an Arlicháira Class Guided Missile Destroyer of the National Ardokian Navy. Commissioned in the early 90s, and refitted just a few years ago, the Tineareach was a fine ship and had been docked in a Cuban naval base for several months now. It's Captain Donal Cullen, was a veteran of 30 years, and a loyal member of the Progressive Totalitarian Labour Party of Ardoki. Almost a week prior, he had been given orders to navigate to this exact point in the Atlantic Ocean, and to shoot down an enemy airliner which would be going on a route taking directly over the ANS Tineareach. He did not know why he was ordered to do it, however it was his duty to obey his orders for the good of Ardoki and its people.

The aircraft, Flight WL-9093 of the Lebanese airliner, Wings of Lebanon, had entered the Tineareach's radar range not long ago, and had just entered the effective range of the ships surface-to-air-missiles. The Lebanese Airbus A380, the second last existing one of Wings of Lebanon (another was shot down by IS earlier, leaving only this and another one), had a total of 647 passengers in total (104 Lebanese nationals, 413 Mexicans, 32 French, 21Israelis, and 77 Iraqi nationals).

Captain Cullen took a sip from his cup of tea, and spoke up, "Comrades! What we are about to do is for the greater good of humanity. We are committing an act of sacrifice, for the Ardokian state and people so they may carry on the banner of human progress and advancement. Long live Progressive Totalitarianism! For the good of humanity!" The crew in the bridge applauded, and shouted his last line out loud.

"Lock on, and destroy the target." he said, and only a short while later, two FTM-776 surface-to-air missiles flew off the ANS Tineareach and sped toward Flight WL-9093.

A little while later, on the Flight WL-9093...

"Would you and your family like some refreshments sir?" said a flight attendant to a large Lebanese family, of grandparents, parents, and almost a dozen young children. They had just gotten back from their first ever family holiday in Mexico, and were eager to get back to Lebanon.

"Yes please..." said the father of the children. However before he could finish his sentence, his plane was hit by the two missiles, and it blew apart in a massive explosion.
The father blacked out, but just before his body smashed into the water thousands of feet below, he regained conciousness he saw his entire family falling threw the sky, with wreckage shredding them like paper.

Back on the ANS Tineareach...

"The target has been destroyed Captain." said an officer.

"It had to be done comrades. Not doing it would have been a far greater crime." he said as he paused for a bit. "Set course for the home port in Ardoki, we head their immediately and as fast as we can, as orders instruct." he added before leaving the bridge.

This ship immediately set course for Ardoki, and upon arrival they will be decorated as heroes of the Totalitarian Republic and the Progressive Totalitarian Labour Party.

Ardoki wrote:In 2014, a rouge captain in the Ardokian Republican Army Naval Force shot down a Lebanese passenger aircraft in the Atlantic Ocean. It was part of a plot by Ardokian militarists to start a war, which they believed would result in the victory of the values held dear in the Greater Ardokian Republic (Progressivism, Democracy, Republicanism, Secularism, Social Liberalism, etcetera). Obviously the plot did not succeed, and Captain Donal Cullen was arrested and secretly court-marshalled. However the Ardokian government, on the advice of the military, did not go public with the terrorist attack and denied any malevolence. Instead claiming the ship's crew believed it was a hostile military aircraft beginning attack manoeuvres and they shot it down in perceived self defence, only to discover that they had misidentified it later.

However this cover-up will not continue. Premier Keelin O'Hara called a press conference, and there she will tell the truth about the incident. Ardoki's denying and excuses only damaged the reputation of Ardoki internationally, with many countries believing that Ardoki had intentionally shot down the aircraft and murdered those innocent civilians. Hopefully, this act of honesty will signal the beginning of repairing international relations with the international community. Hopefully, Ardoki can once again be considered an active member of the international community, who follows international law and protects human rights internationally. Plus this could also benefit Premier O'Hara's approval ratings, which only increase the more she seems relatable to the people.

Citizens. Please welcome your head of government, Premier Keelin O'Hara. a voice-over said as the Premier walked onto the podium in a large auditorium full of reporters and cameras.

Hello citizens; of Ardoki, and the wider world. I've been lucky enough to have served the people as Premier for over 15 years, that is a great honour I, and I thank the voters dearly for electing my coalition. The Premier said, interrupted by applause from the crowd.

You are probably all wondering why I have called this press conference. It is a matter of honesty and principle. For too long the government has covered-up an incident which we were too embarrassed to admit to. The crowd went silent.

I cannot stress enough, our nation was not responsible for any crime. But our government is guilty of not telling the truth, and hopefully this will begin to make up for that. She paused for a moment, and had a sip of water, she was obviously shaken and nervous about what she was about to say.

In late 2014, a rouge captain of the Ardokian Republican Army Naval Force, shot down a Lebanese passenger aircraft over the Atlantic Ocean. The crowd largely remained silent enough to hear lone gasps of shock.

This captain, who we will not identify for the sake of his family who should not be made to suffer due to his consequences, was part of a very small group of militarists who sought to start a war with Lebanon and several other foreign powers. He was quickly arrested after we investigated the event, and is currently in jail. She took another sip of water.

His group was very small, a few junior officers, and was quickly neutralised. She sniffed.

But the government of Ardoki, my government, lied about the incident. We claimed it was an accident, we claimed that the ship mistakenly thought it was under attack. We were embarrassed and scared about what would happen if we told the truth. I thought I was to blame for allowing such an incident to happen, that I hadn't kept the military in check, that it was my fault that all those people were killed. I couldn't live with myself, I hated myself; I was absolutely terrified that people would blame and hate me as much as I did. She paused, and flicked her hair out of her face.

That was selfish. As the Premier, I had an obligation to be honest to the people of Ardoki. As a human, I had an obligation to be honest to the friends and families of the victims. I failed on both accounts, and can only hope that people will forgive me. The crowd interrupted her with an applause, a massive show of support.

Now that I have revealed the truth, I can only begin to express how much I hope that it is a step in reversing the massive injustices. The Ardokian government would also like to announce reparations to the families of every victim of the crash, NS$ 10,000 per victim should begin to espress to them how much we are sorry for both the incident and then lying about it afterwards. There was more applause.

I would also like to announce to the international community, that Ardoki seeks to become a more active member in it. Hopefully we can advance the cause of human rights and international law with other countries. I pledge that Ardoki will struggle to interact with other countries in a more pleasant and cooperative fashion in the future, together we can make a better world! There was a thunderous applause as Premier Keelin O'Hara left the stage and the national anthem played.

"Judging from Inyurstan investigation - full documentation of which we brought with us - we can easily assume that Ardokian government is lying and that this "broadcast" was made on purpose to whitewash Ardoki from international criticism. Still, this is only the beginning. Ardokians done far more. Here is evidence of so called "Chilean Genocide" when Ardokian government murdered over 5 million people:"

The calm serenity of the day was about to be interrupted, as two Sikorsky S-76 helicopters were coming over the horizon from the direction of the airport. Each helicopter was painted a solid black with a tricolor crimson, dark green and gold stripe running down either side of the aircraft, implying they were in the service of the Inyurstan government. As the helicopters approached the embassy complex, the sound of their rudderblades was slowly drowned out by the booming music being broadcast from one of them - a loud but melodic beat with a catchy tune, just the kind of rhythm to announce that a strong, latin power had arrived.

Both helicopters made their approach low toward an empty space adjacent to the embassy complex. What would happen next was a maneuver trusted to only a select few highly skilled pilots: Smoke grenades hit the ground over the landing zone, emitting a pluming fog of red, green and yellow smoke which caused both helicopters to disappear. From out of the occluding haze a woman in her late twenties or early thirties materialized as she walked forward. The young lady in a black-and-white checkered dress under a black jacket with mary-jane looking tambas shoes on her feet and a Miraco hat on her head was none other than Ambassador Melissa de Vertrun, the same woman who had led the Inyurstan delegation prior to their (unjust and undemocratic) exile from the IFC. Behind her, came a security analyst in a casual jacket and khakis and a female intern in a black collared shirt with grey formal pants, with two lightly armed security guards bringing up the rear.

"Nuezo sommo arrivé. I hope we aren't late, are we?" She said and smirked.

Manny walked up the gangplank of the boat and stood there, "If everyone will please, let us board the boat and begin with these negotiations." He then added on, "The President is running late due to matters if state and will join us via a speed boat, probably as we get to the Bonnet Carre spillway, which is about an hour and a half upriver."
He looks up as he hears the helicopter approaching, the police direct it to land at the very end of Spanish Plaza, to ensure that nothing is damaged with the building or the boat. "Ambassador, " he was speaking directly to the Inyurstan delegation, "you would have been ordered to fly to the helipad at the Superdome, where our vehicle were waiting for you. This is highly irregular to break protocol. Please, next time you come to a diplomatic function here in N Awlins, follow our protocols."

Kennedy Rowan Coleman watched with visible contempt as the Inyurstans arrived, 'guns blazing' like some sort of arrogant brutes from a patriotic 'Murican' action film. This was no way to enter a conference, it shows utter disrespect for the host nation and commonly accepted diplomatic protocols.

The Inyurstan nation was not viewed positively within Ardoki. Their fierce commitment to and support of individualism was shocking to those coming from the highly collectivist culture of Ardoki; a nation where individualism is seen as synonymous with selfishness and callousness, and altruism and conformity are considered as sacrosanct. These vastly different cultural values have led to hostility in the past, but Minister Coleman was determined to remain as diplomatic as possible.

She followed the directions from the New Orleans ambassador and boarded the boat; she was ready to begin negotiations and was open to reasonable compromise if it presented itself.

Manny looked up from his phone after sending a live post to Setsozoku, watching intently at those in attendance. Even though he was the Ambassador to the International Freedom Coalition, he thought of himself first and foremost as an entertainer. The Delegation from the Ardokian Social Democratic Republic seems to not only distrust, but also somewhat despise, the majority of the assembled delegations. He couldn't make up material any better.
While hoping he was being followed by the delegations in attendance, he walked to the door that leads into the main room of the ship, where the talks were to take place. Tablets were spread around a long rectangular table to where the delegations could see any information those talking thought was applicable to the discussion at hand. In front of the gaskets, closest to the chairs, was a place setting for the afternoon meal. There were also seating plaques on the table pointing out who sat where, with the N Awliniuan shot at the head of the table and the Ardoki and Doran spots to either side of the N Awlinian spot. No other spots were marked as it was deemed that where they say want important for the chart, so the rest of the seating was listed as "open".

He checked the tablet to see if it was operational to what he was used to and then reset his cell phone so that it found whatever local network was available, ensuring that he could contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs if he needed guidance. He then looked around and watched as the other delisted took their seats, seeing who would sit where. This would help him understand where the 'battle lines' would be drawn.

The recently appointed minister of Foreign Affairs Yang Jeong-Hee quietly entered the boat. He was not really late but as far as he knew he was last, and in Kirishinan culture being last in most things might as well be considered late. Never the less Jeong-Hee nodded towards everyone in the room including the Ardokians before finding a spot to sit. Kirishima had no other stake in this than to have the back of their great ally Guadalupador as well as possible be a less hostile voice for the Ardokians to speak to should such a situation warrants it.

The Vice Premier said to Manny before watching the Inyurstan delegation arrive with their own unique style. David couldn't help but chuckle as the helicopter touched down. This was bound to be quite the negotiation for sure. The Vice Premier strided toward the negotiating table, with several delegates already getting prepared for the ensuing talks. Sisho took his seat directly across the table from Kennedy Rowan Coleman, the Ardokian delegate, which on one of his Ministry of State Affairs papers described her as a "Social-media nutcase." Sisho considered the term a joke, or at least he wished it was a joke about how she acted on sites like Setsuzoku and Punch. He looked back up to Coleman and eyed her down, as if she were his opponent in a chess game. David waited for the go-ahead to begin the negotiations.

Bazam found the Inyurstan entrance a bit of an over dramatic stunt, be he couldn't help but smile at the helicopter and the smoke. He greeted the Inyurstan with a handshake and boarded the very pretty boat. He sat down by the "Republic of Hatay" label? Right next to the Dorian seat. Bazam signaled his aide via an eye movement to come over. The young man handed the VP his briefcase. Bazam opened it and put a ballpoint pen, a notepad, his iPhone5c, and a miniature Hatayan flag with a stand on his part of the table. He awaited the start if negotiations thinking about the Nihonese delegation and their presentation. He personally despised what he saw as a bigoted, regressive, warmongering state, and the head of the SACTO serpent. But they hit the nail on the head. The presentation was true, influential, and thought provoking. They did a good job of summarizing the international community's strong hostility towards Ardoki.

Kennedy Rowan Coleman watched in silence as the Dorian Vice Premier sat opposite her. She did not look away; she did not blink; she did not relent. The Dorian representative would be death-starred, though with an unnerving smile on the face, until the negotiations started.

The Dorians were never hated in Ardoki; well, not until relatively recently. They were considered fellow progressives who stood against the aggression and imperialism of SACTO, an alliance which had threatened Ardoki so many times. Ardoki had no qualms with the Dorians; only the New Yamans were considered a threat. But this all changed when the Dorians shot down an Ardokian satellite which was tasked with spying on New Yama; now, the Dorians were universally despised by the Ardokian people for their perceived betrayal of Ardoki.

However, Coleman did understand a lot of the displeasure several countries held towards Ardoki. President Moriarty and Premier O'Brien had been allowed to run amok for too long; while most of their 'crimes' never actually occurred and were simply jokes, a lot were unfortunately very real. This has led to significant anti-Ardokian sentiment across the world, and the Party had to recently pull Moriarty and O'Brien in line.

But now was not the time to think about internal government and party politics. Coleman was the Minister of External Affairs, she had to represent Ardoki as best as she could here. Hopefully, Ardoki may one day be able to become a respectable member of the international community; if that necessitated 'retiring' Moriarty and O'Brien, the Party would only be so happy to comply as long as certain guarantees were ensured.

Abishag Korey had not expected to be deployed to New Orleans to watch over the peace conference between the Ardokians, long regarded by Ganosians as one comedian put it "the skidmark on the underpants of international politics," and the Dorians, to whom their ex-Queen, Charla FitzRaymond, was appointed Ambassador.

The Ganosian plan was to broker peace between these two nations, mostly to ensure the safety of the Ganosian tourists who frequently visited "Free Doria" (New Yama wasn't really on the top of the tourist market's hotspot list) and to assuage Charla's fears about war breaking out, being that, despite no longer being Queen, she still firmly believed in helping the Dorian people.

Once she had taken her seat, and the Nihonese delegation had produced its data concerning Ardokian atrocities, Abishag had largely kept silent, even when the Nihonese mentioned the Chilean genocide. Countless Chilean refugees --- now Ganosian citizens --- still harbored intense resentment of Ardoki for having conducted such a barbaric act.

Although it was hard for him, one of Abishag's guards was of Chilean descent, and he could not even bear to look at the Ardokian delegation. When his people's suffering was mentioned by the Nihonese, he found it even harder to restrain himself from speaking openly.

Once the Nihonese delegation had finished speaking, Abishag said, "Her Imperial Majesty's government has long since considered the Ardokian government guilty of genocide and other such disgusting offenses. We fully agree with the Nihonese government's view that those responsible for such acts should be brought to trial before an international tribunal. In order for Ardoki to truly be at peace with the nations of the world, it must remove any and all impediments, and those who have escaped justice for so long are, coincidentally, the biggest ones around."

Meanwhile, the Chilean guardsman looked Admiral Amakusa straight in his eye and nodded his head, muttering thanks in his native tongue.
