Loriks village

Things were getting stranger by the day, he and his people were seeing strange flashes in the sky, strange sightings of odd beings with tentacles on their faces. At night, new stars start to appear but they were sometimes constantly moving. He talked to the the shaman and she told him that this was a bad omen. That things are about to change whether its good or bad. He will be sure to sent messengers to other Holds that are allied to him to see what they know whats going on in their territories. He walks back to his hut in deep thought about what the morning will bring as he silent prayed Valos, the goddess of valor and fortune for protection.

Orbit

It is time we act. - Unknown Citizen of the 12 Galaxies

A squadron of Orostani Gunships (look in my factbook) descended through the atmosphere in the dark. They flew low over the forest, causing the trees to shake. They had spotlights on, and one stopped. Under its light was a crater, and two sets of prints leading away. One gunship was dispatched to follow the probe's prints, while the others followed the Human and Horse ones.

The Two gunships soon found a village, and shone their lights on the village.
They left after about an hour, to a plain to the west, where a base was being set up.

"Shadow protocol. That usually means trouble. How many different species do you count?"

The being making that statement was literally wired in to the center of the craft in which he made it.

"Gray area. At least one of them is GESO like we are. In fact, I'm downloading their data." This was the craft itself--one could think of the sentient AI that ran the 100-meter saucer-shaped vessel as its mind. "Looks like we could have trouble. There are multiple species from different political entities entering that planet. One group is reconnoitering it and another is warning them not to interfere under penalty of military incident."

"Which ones came through that transfer gate?"

"The recon crew."

"Well--they're not on shadow protocol. What's the name of our allies?"

"The ship is called the Horizon Ranger. She's got a Kendorian registry."

"New to the GESO," the being said as he accessed the files. "Not as experienced in interspecies contact as they could be, but looks like they at least know something about diplomacy. Contact them. Let them know who we are and what we're going to do. Don't keep secrets."

Thank you for the data on the planet.  We have noted a situation that could turn ugly in a hurry.  We're going in cloaked to investigate.  We will attempt to maintain contact and to diffuse any potentially dangerous situations.  We will be using Shadow Protocol, so we will be going in cloaked and attempt to remain undetected until we can make a determination as to the best course of action.  We will share all data with you, and may ask your advice on wisest course of action.  Brain Jar out.

After sending its communication, the saucer-shaped vessel, still cloaked, descends to the planet's surface, near where the alien recon squad had landed, and carefully engages its sensors. The being in the center of the ship disengages from its internal circuitry and moves into a suit shaped like a humanoid--an elderly, obese man. The obesity is necessary, as it is the only way that the tank that holds the being's few remaining internal organs can fit in the space provided. Once clad, the Metal Man cloaks himself and disembarks the ship, comlink open.

Federation Fleet In Orbit
The AI noticed a flare in the atmosphere, and notified the captain.
"Sir! Reentry of some thing detected, i detected a flare up."

"What kind?"

"Likely meteorite... but all I can see near the ground is an Obese man....."

"The ****?"

"Send a gunship down, we may be able to make contact through him."

A gunship left a Patrol Craft in orbit, and swept in over the Obese man, charging a tractor beam.

Cloaking shield fully engaged, the Metal Man hovered on maglevs toward one of the reconnoitering aliens. The cloak wasn't strong enough to hide the maglevs--they'd glow like fire to any electromag sensors--but there was simply no quicker method of transportation. It was enough that they were silent.

It took the cyborg about half an hour to get ahead of the target. Twice, the scout had checked in with a personal communication device, but it had only sent--it could receive, but was not being used that way. Whatever these scouts were scouting, they were seen as expendable. This did not bode well for what the cyborg was about to try.

He had gotten enough over their comms to make a reasonably good guess as to the language they used, so it was not that much of a surprise when he decloaked behind a scout, sitting on a tree limb so that he would not be seen to appear as his invisibility went, and said, in their language,

"Hello, P-17. Might I inquire as to the purpose for your visit to this out-of-the-way planet?"

The Kendorian ship, Horizon Ranger has just arrived in the system the said species lived. The team of scientist on the planet were excited to make contact with the species and research them while the four soldier were starting to get bored because they haven't reach their destination yet. Then commander Koziro received a signal from a ship which belonged to a GESO member, the message reads as follow:[spoiler=

Subject:  Event parameters

Thank you for the data on the planet.  We have noted a situation that could turn ugly in a hurry.  We're going in cloaked to investigate.  We will attempt to maintain contact and to diffuse any potentially dangerous situations.  We will be using Shadow Protocol, so we will be going in cloaked and attempt to remain undetected until we can make a determination as to the best course of action.  We will share all data with you, and may ask your advice on wisest course of action.  Brain Jar out.
]Signal
.

Commander Koziro received the Brain Jar message and he feeled happy at the message because someone has heard his message and replied to it. Commander Koziro then talked to the head of the science team in the ship, Professor Bari Larry to get the best advice on a peaceful first contact with a pre-industrial technology sentient species. Professor Bari then said to Commander Koziro "I suggest that you must land in a secluded area and make sure to you don't get detected by the locals until you can find their leader. If you manage to find the leader talk to him/her formally and introduce who you are, where are you from and what is your intention then if uplifting is the choice we can get the leader and tour him/her around our ship before taking introducing them to our technology. We have two methods of uplifting which is quick uplifting which would involved introducing the locals to our level of technology without introducing them to the technology needed to do that or we could use gradual uplifting which would mean introducing them to higher technology slowly by introducing the technology they haven't discovered yet, starting from technology like agriculture, monarchy, iron smelting if their sword is made of bronze, etc until they reached higher technology by taking them to our homeworld and since we have holographic simulation that simulates technology through the era we could use that but we like to preserve the original culture of the race so maybe gradual selective uplifting could be done." Professor Bari finished his talking as Commander Koziro thinked Professor Bari's speech for a moment.

After thinking Professor Bari's advice, Commander Koziro decided to send a signal to the Brain Jar. The signal contains a message about the advice Professor Bari gives to him. Commander Koziro then said the message and send it to the Brain Jar.

Code: Select all
[02.02] (transmission starts)
[02.03] This is Commander Koziro of the Horizon Ranger message to the Commander of the Brain Jar. We would send you advice for making first contact with that species. I suggest you first stealthily moved in to their leader's house, be careful when making that move. Then you reveal yourself, if the leader is surprised by you sudddenly revealing yourself, tell him/her why that happens and tell them you are not their god. Then you tell him/her who you are, where are you from and your intention. If they still believe you are a god then take them to your ship and show them the technology in your ship so they would believe that you are not a god. Of uplifting is your choice then i suggest you must gradually introduce them to higher technology but you must preserve most of their traditional culture. Also it would be unsafe if you make a first contact with the leader yourself so you must wait until our ship lands and we get out of the ship because we have four military escort in our ship to protect you and ourself. Actually however, we would discuss more matter regarding the species as well as more detail on their uplifting. See you there.
[02.05] (Transmission ended)

Commander Koziro sighed after sending the message because the message he said is rather long. Then the ship entered the planet's atmosphere. In the atmosphere, the ship deactivated all it's light except for the console light, which didn't shine as bright as the rest of the ship so that the ship would not emit any strange light that the locals thinked when they see a spaceship. The ship then activated it's camouflage function in order to camouflage itself with the secluded hill where it would land.

The ship then landed in the hill. Commander Koziro then sended one final message to the Brain Jar. He sended the message so he can know Brain Jar's location.

Code: Select all
[02.16] (Transmission starts)
[02.17] This is commander Koziro of The Horizon Ranger to the Commander of Brain Jar. We wanted to know your current location. Also we would left two of our military escort in our ship to guard them just in case.
[02.18] (Transmission ended)

After sending the message to the Brain Jar, Commander Koziro, the team of scientist and the other two of the military escort left the ship. The military escort takes a stun gun and a laser gun as well as wearing a strong armor. Commander Koziro however bringed a communicator along with the escort and scientist to communicate with the military escort left on the ship. The communicator also has other functions including connecting to the ships communication and translating foreign languages.

Aboard the Gedwen

Rear Admiral Dask receives a report from one of his subordinates. "So, they're trying to win the natives over? Damn. We need this planet to establish a base of operations." He turns to the comms officers. "Send troops to EVERY major city on that planet. We must win over the natives quickly."

They respond "Aye Aye, sir." They then activate the comm array. "All ships. Orders. One quarter of the fleet is to enter the planet's atmosphere and negotiate with the natives."

The volunteering ships answered with an affirmative and descended into the planet's atmosphere, visible during entry. From the ground they appeared as over a dozen shooting stars.

The scout turned to face he who questions him.

It then said, in its deep, guttural voice, "A servant of the Collective does not answer to outsiders. Our business here is peaceful, you do not need to change that."

The villagers looked at each other first frightened by the metal bird then confusion when it made a strange request. One avaar stepped forward and spoke with a not friendly reply in his language. "Which leader? Every village has a leader?" He questions as he walked back to the crowd muttering about dumb outlanders which made everyone around roar in laughter at his remark. As they were calming down they started to laugh again as the avaar who made the reply was head slapped by a man who was walking to the crowed making the man to apologies to his leader the thane. The thane then looks at the gunship.

" What do you want strange one? What business to you have here?" He questioned as his warriors had their weapons at the ready just incase.

He combed every bit of information he got from the scanners, the ships sophont doing the same, their minds where intertwined in such a way that they knew exactly what they where going to do what they would think of even before “thinking it” it seemed almost as if these tendrils of thought between Hummel and Chrion gave them a limited precognition.

-“Get me a link to any other ships baring the GRF IFF codes, I want information about what the hell is happening on the ground, yesterday”-

And so a wide angle communique was established as per GRF command nets, Hummel in his usual confident tone spoke aloud through the secure network.

“This is Captain Hummel of the Terran Alliance Ship Chrion to all allied ships, please interlink your scanners with ours and upload all the data of what is happening on the ground to our Sophont. I also request that all of us coordinate with one another to ascertain the situation completely. Please advise. “

Hummel Sunk in to his chair now, the CIC of the Chrion was still red with alert klaxons, indeed the ship was at general quarters its weapons still primed and ready to fire at a moments notice, it might have seemed heavy handed but in any unknown situation what was a commander to do? If you’re given wild cards to deal with, it was always best to stride on the side of caution. Stand off drones buzzed around in orbit in wedge shaped formations, many of them flanking from the ventral, to the dorsal to port and to the starboard vectors locking up various unknowns scanning them missiles and displacement weapons primed. The Chrion itself , still cloaked had but now moved to the far side of the planet , its engine wake seemingly invisible to all by GRF forces who had its IFF code.

Chrion itself sent out a command, Hummel and the ship now spoke in unison almost as if they where one being for a split second connecting with both AI and humanoid beings. Two signals where sent one to the surface in the form of a holographic projection another to the GRF ships and other vessels.

-“To all Alien and non Allied ships, we come here in peace, we are merely investigating much like you are the strange occurrences on the world bellow, we are greatly concerned about the cultural damage to the planet bellow by the exposure to our presence or the presence of a non native device on the planet.

We should all seek to remedy this situation immediately, this system as stated before is under the protection of the Galactic Economic And Security Organization. We do not seek conflict but if we must enforce the guarantee of this planets security from hostile advances we will do so with deadly force.

Now, barring this I’m sure personnel from GESO and non GESO parties can confer on this situation we offer a place for us to mediate what is going on here.”

Hummel and Chrion let out a collective sigh, the XO merely looked at them through its containment suit optics, the crew was still on alert and tensions where indeed high, but they had to do something to keep this from getting out of control. Hummel waved a hand one of the stand off drones in orbit came to life the front section of its nose cone began to glow and crackle with energy, a bolt of ionized plasma simulating something akin to a slightly stronger solar wind shot out in a colorful angelic aura striking the atmosphere creating clouds followed by heat lighting and eventually the clapping of thunder.

The projection came through again now .

“Natives of this world, none of us here are gods, we are not your masters we do not seek your worship heed our words we are flesh and bone just like yourselves.”

The Village

The voice from the gunship spoke

You first must understand, we are not gods. We are like you in many ways, simply creatures with the means to advance sociologically and technologically. We are here to uplift you, so you do not fall prey to others like us, who do not share our morality, and wish to kill and enslave all of your race. We will not make you join our nation, we will give you the means to build and understand machines like our own, so you may protect yourself.

Do you accept the offer?

Meanwhile, Commander Koziro, the team of scientist, and two military personnel walked toward a village. Some minute later, they have reached the village's outskirt. The locals which seen them were scared and start to worship them as god, much to the dismay of Commander Koziro because they are not a god. Eventually they reach the village's inside. Commander Koziro then said to the locals in their local language that his communicator manage to translate "We are not a god. We wish to speak to your leader on who we actually are."

The villager were conversing with themselves for a few minutes then stopped. A man with two swords on his back came forward. He wore little armor on his clothing and wore a helmet that does not cover his face and has eye patch over his left eye and he is the leader of this village. "We have decided they we do not accept your offer and would like you to leave us alone." He said as his people around him nodded in agreement. Some gripping their weapons just in case everything goes bad.

One Avaar nodded and ran back to a hut and came out with an elderly man with a cane. He was helped by the one who came to his hut. On his other side was a shaman and she doesn't looked impressed by the newcomers. As they finally come to a stop the elder stretches his back for a few seconds then smiles. "Welcome strangers, to my village. My name is Thane Vorka and the Shaman right next to me is named Vessa. Now what could we do for you?" He asked while muttering that he should be sleeping right now.

The gun ship flew off, and proceeded to the next town, where the same offer was given.

This time by a 15 Kilometer battleship.

Federation ships patrol a continent of the planet, preventing non-GESCO nations from landing. Federation ships drift in low patrols in the atmosphere, occasionally flying over villages.

"A habitable planet, perfect for colonization my friends." said the insane grinning emperor to the council, "There are primitives on the planet who are perfect for our sacrifices to Cthulhu," said one man of the council, "And the Zagroth have been seen on the planet.", "Freaking Yog-Sothoth... Those false eldritch quackers never know when to stop, they use R'lyethian in their motto." blubbered the emperor in all his incomprehensible gibbering. "Summon the 6th Fleet," ordered the blubbering emperor with his twitching, itching, and gibbering mouth, "And deploy a outpost there, relay this message Goggoroth.", "Yes my liege, I shall not fail." said the eldritch looking gibbering mess that was Goggoroth. "Oh, and Goggoroth," said the emperor in a weirded tone of voice, "Type this message down, and beam it to the 3rd Fleet.", "3rd Fleet, this is your emperor, I have orders for you, you must go to the habitable planet we just found, you must know where it is by now, and you establish a forward operations base there, I feel a war a brewing.", "Message typed and beamed my liege." muttered and gibbered the maniacal insanity that was Goggoroth. "Good lad you, now go." said the gibberish muttering emperor whilst ripping a hair off.
