Operation: Bond (FT Atten Mewsland and Mewsland Galaxy)

[Mewsland]

A few of the torpedoes exploded when hit, but a few more struck the shield. The "Shield Systems" tab flashed red.

"Return fire, all weapons! Let's see what she's got! Deploy all fighter shuttles! Tactical Systems Control Room, I want full updates on the sensors constantly!"

[Gibet]

"Yes sir!" Kareme said as he had all weapons fire. Kietel, in the Fighter

"Okay. Kareme, you take the tactical station here at the bridge. Kietel, I want you to lead the fighter shuttles. The rest of you: Tactical Systems Control on Deck 8, sections 5, 6, 7, 8, and 10. Let's go!"

OOC: Was Kietel actually supposed to fly one or just command them? It'll help me with my next post.

[Mewsland]

<OOC> Kietel can do either, however, it is recommended that he stay aboard Voyager. By the way, did Kareme notice the blinking shields tab on the holoscreen?

[Gibet]

OOC: Yes.

IC: "Uh, Mew. The shields are blinking and I am a little confused on what to do about them." Kareme said as the shield lights continued to blink. He started looking for a way to see what was happening to them. He figured they were damaged. Kietel was in Fighter Control. He was directing flights for the assault. He was continously staring at the different patterns in fighter movement and began to piece together a plan of attack.

[Mewsland]

"Touch the shields tab. It will bring up the shields screen. Yes, I know. BMEWS 7 is quite confusing, but it is experimental."

<OOC> When Kareme opens the tab, the warning would be caused by the fact that Voyager's port dorsal shield has dropped to 79%.

[Gibet]

"Okay." Kareme said and he touched the tab. It brought up the reason why. "Mew, the Port Dorsal shield is at 79%!" Kareme said as he looked back at Mew.

[Mewsland]

"Engineering. Field power to port dorsal shield!"

Another salvo fired, this time phasers and torpedoes. The phasers would not be stopped, but the torpedoes could be prevented with another volley from the point-defense cannons.

"Point-defense cannons -- Fire!"

The phasers hit the shield -- and caused the port dorsal shield to drop to 35% power.

"Keep our ventral on the pirates! If the port dorsal shield goes, then our main power relay is an easy target. It's the one major flaw of the Voyager-class."

[Gibet]

"Firing point defence cannons!" Kareme said. He continued to monitor the shields as they decreased on the Port Dorsal. He watched with nervousness.

[Mewsland]

Voyager pointed her lower side at the pirates... and then Kareme's screen winked out.

"Sorry, Kareme. I should have warned you. I need control for about 15 seconds to perform this maneuver. Navigation, inertial dampeners to maximum. Patch me through to the crew."

"Yes, sir."

"Toutes les mains, ceci est le capitaine. Nous disposons à exécuter la manoeuvre de Miaulez. Les mouilleurs à inertie et les champs gravitationnels ne pourraient pas compenser la force du pain et du feu d'armes, ainsi attachez-vous. Miaulez dehors."

"I suggest everyone hangs on."

Mew then rolled the ship and fired everything. The pirates were caught off guard, and were hit with a dizzying sequence of phasers and torpedoes. Five of the ships exploded, another six were disabled, and the third group of nine were just barely operational. Mew then returned tactical control to Kareme.

"Well, that worked out nicely. Kareme, let's take out those last few ships! Don't destroy, just disable. We need to know where the pirates are hiding the bulk of their fleet, and we will use any means necessary to save our race from extinction. Kareme, what you need to know about the pirates is that they have destroyed 45 worlds in the three years since we last met. That's over 175 billion citizens dead. We need to bring it to a stop."

[Gibet]

"Roger that, Mew. Preparing tofire on ships. Shoot to disable." Kareme said as he regained control of the weapons. He prepared to fire on those few ships left.

[Mewsland]

The remainder of the ships were brought to a halt and just sat. Voyager was in a state of celebration.

And then the Mewsland fleet arrived.

"Well done, Mew! Weren't there about 20 of them?"

"Precisely 20, Stanley. And we destroyed or disabled them single-handedly without even scratching the paint."

"Excellent! I'll report back to Starbase 1 with the results of your shakedown. In the meantime, you guys can clear up here. Enterprise out."

Mew then looked at Kareme. "Nice shooting, Tex!"

[Gibet]

"Thanks! But you were the one flying the thing after-all. And let's not forget about all those other brave souls aboard this tub!" He said as he looked back at Mew.

[Mewsland]

Mew's eyes narrowed at his ship being called a tub. "I suppose we should take some of the credit."

[Gibet]

"Please Mew, it's only a joke. Sorry, let's forget about it." Kareme said looking apologetic.

[Mewsland]

"All hands, this is the captain. I would like to say well done to all of you. Because of your actions today, this ship was able to single-handedly destroy a whole pirate flotilla. I want full damage and injury reports from all of you. Mew out."

"NCC-1701, we are here to receive shakedown reports."

An unfamiliar face flickered onto the screen.

"Ah, yes. I'm sorry, but who are you?"

"Elvira Umbridge. I'm the new ambassador to Gibet."

"Hmm? If you are ambassador to the Gibetans, then why are you asking me for shakedown reports?"

"We're concerned about the Gibetans' safety. Now that the pirates know that they are working with us, they are bound to attack. We're trying to ask if we can put a few Voyager-class refits in orbit of their home system for the time being."

"Ah. And, as such, I presume you will be telling them just what this type of ship is capable of?"

"You are as logical as ever, Mr. President."

"Mister Kareme, I would like to introduce you to Elvira Umbridge."

"It is an honor to meet you Mrs. Umbridge. I hope relations between our two empires are strengthened everyday." KAreme said as he looked at the woman who'd flickered on.

[Mewsland]

"As do I, good sir. Thank you for introducing me, Mister President, but I must be going. Alliance and I are due at Gibet in 20 minutes. Good day to you. Umbridge out."

The image of Umbridge was replaced with an unfamiliar starship.

"That, my friend, is the USS Alliance <NCC-2113>. She is a prototype refit of the Mew-class, derived from the starship USS Mew Mæow XVI <NCC-2000>, which, sadly, was destroyed in 3220."

<OOC> Meow?

Voyager spun around, and then followed Alliance into a superluminal corridor.

"Mister Kareme, we can have you and the other delegates back on Gibet in about three hours."

[The Steppe Empire]

Ayame was not in a good mood right now, with the word of a loss in the battle against The Stations Alliance. Ayame decided that before a rebellion could start to start prepareing to Launch a Invasion of The Mewsland Galaxy it self, with her own Armada. She would lead the Invasion her self.

This was not the first time The Hyperborians launched a Extra-Galactic Invasion, nor was it the last. The Celestial Empire had three Dwarf Galaxies under it's control and now saw the idea of adding a Major Galaxy to the expanding Empire a Big bonus.

Ayame gave the order to prepare her fleet for invasion.

[Gibet]

"Very well. Thankyou for this exciting trip, Mew." Kareme said as he put his hand out to shake.

[Mewsland]

"SIR! We're showing a major Steppe Empire fleet massing outside the outer boundary ring!"

"Well, Kareme, I don't think you're going home yet. Yellow alert! Set course for the outer boundary ring facing the Milky Way!"

"Sir, the fleets have been ordered to defensive positions. We've also got word that 450 of our ships are massing along the outer boundary."

"Good. Ayame better give me a dang good reason she has a fleet sitting outside our galaxy."

"And she better realize that nothing has conquered more than one fifth of the galaxy in Mewsland's collective memory, which dates back to before human civilization existed. This galaxy is a primary superpower."

"Sir, we're being hailed by a pirate flagship. They want to negotiate a peace treaty due to and during the upcoming conflict."

"On screen!"

Mister President, you seem to have a few problems with invaders. This fight between us is no longer important when we face the enslavement or extinction of our race.

"Well, Balok, you would be correct. The help would be appreciated. I am confused as to why Ayame wants the Kaliem Galaxy under her control and wants the Mew race dead or enslaved. Of course, can she stand against the technology of the Mews?"

I think we should propose a ceasefire-at least for the duration of the conflict. We still have many quarrels with the Federal Union over many things.

"Violence is never the answer, however, an attack must be met with equal or greater force to bring the enemy to its knees. Ceasefire accepted. Mew out."

"Well, that went remarkably smooth."

"With the pirates on our side for once, that's another few thousand ships to add."

"Even though they are older ships, numbers do help in a battle."

The 44.6-kilometer long, massively armed Voyager roared towards the border of the Kaliem Galaxy's gravitational influence, and popped out right in front of an armada of Mew ships. The new redesign of Voyager would be unrecognizable to the Steppe Empire ships, even though Voyager had been encountered by a scout three years prior. The ship's armor gleamed in the starlight from the not-so-distant Kaliem Galaxy in the background, her multi-regenerative shields creating a dull shine around the ship.

Ayame, is this your invasion? Are you truly that low in forces? If you don't realize, there are 450 starships here and more coming to take you on! We will not go quietly into the night!

[Gibet]

"Mew, if needed, I can contact the Gibetan Ministery of Defence to get our fleet mobilized and out here in a matter of hours." Kareme said while looking at what was going on around them.

Out of an era of Peace, shal the storm arise.

[Mewsland]

"That would be very much appreciated. Even though the Federal Union's fleet is over 20,000 strong, she is still mostly science and exploration ships. The Voyager-class, Mew-class, and Augusta-class are the only battleship classes in the fleet."

"Sir, we are closing to six thousand kilometers, now approaching the outer boundary ring."

[Gibet]

"Very well, shall I send the request?" Kareme asked while he looked on.

[The Steppe Empire]

While Ayame planned to launch her invasion, she needed to keep the enemy busy before she sent out her Armada. To do that she would have to ask help from the one group of beings that she dispised the most, and it was not humans.

Pirates.

The all powerful Ranshisyu Pirates of The Gamma Quadrant of the Milky Way had long held a Empire of their own and were the best pirates in The northern parts of The Milky Way. and Ayame was to get them to help. She sent a message that Nadia, Queen of The Ranshisyu, was surprise to hear. Ayame had offered to give the Ranshisyu Slipstream drives to go and raid the Kaliem Galaxy. Also, Ayame had offered parts of that Galaxy to Nadia as part of her empire.

At the same time, Ayame was giving the same offers to Astral-Tech, Nova Heavy Industries and others to help in the coming Invasion.

Ayame, back at Altrth, was getting her fleet ready to head for the Kaliem Galaxy.
