Operation: Bond (FT Atten Mewsland and Mewsland Galaxy)

"Yes, it is quite beautiful. I believe the men who re-fitted her were miracle workers." Kareme said as he looked at the shining Voyager.

[Mewsland]

"She is in a much better state than she was in." Mew was as cheerful as he could be at the sight of his ship, good as new. A small thunk indicated that the shuttle had docked. "Shall we, gentlemen?"

[Gibet]

"Of course. Lead the way, Mew." Admiral Kietel said as he motioned for the others. There was Kareme and Kietel, along with Representatives Kaiser, Kesselring, and Sturm giest. The Admiral from the battle that had put the Voyager out of action was dead. He'd been killed in a skirmish with several Pirate Vessels.

[Mewsland]

Mew slammed his whole hand onto the open door button, and it flung open at once. Main engineering was almost completely transformed. She was a totally new ship. The cheer in Mew's face was vast at his ship's new state.

Mew zipped to a turbolift, then punched in the bridge. However, instead of zooming away, the group was beamed over.

"New turboporters. Designed for intra-ship use only. Ah, here's the memorial."

Mew pointed to a plaque next to the dedication plaque, which now read Voyager Class - Second Refit.

"At least they didn't die unknowns. That crew was a group of heroes."

On stardate 1134.5, the 5,712 crewmembers of the USS Voyager <NCC-1701> risked their lives and their ship in defense of the Federal Union, even against the odds. 4,517 Mews gave their lives that day, and the pride of the Federal Union was nearly destroyed. This memorial is dedicated on stardate 4711.6, in this year of 3284 as a monument to all those that made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

Mew sat down in his new chair and shook it a little. "It's a nice ship, but I miss my old chair." Suddenly, Kitty came in with another first-refit Voyager-class captain's chair and put it in place of the new one. She performed a few adjustments, then Mew sat down again. "Good heavens, it's perfect! Bless you, Kitty."

The engineer smiled. "Thanks, Mew."

"Take a seat, gentlemen. Kitty, did you find Engineering alright?"

"Right where I left it, sir."

"Helm, let's see what she's got."

The others sat down in some chairs. Kietel looked over at Captain Kareme and Mr. Sturmgiest. They were looking around the Bridge and all the equipment. It was truly state-of-the-art.

"This is a fine ship Mew. I wouldn't be surprised if the Pirates turned tail and ran at the first sight of this." Kareme said with a laugh.

"Indeed. The ship is very beautiful........and powerful, I presume?" Sturmgiest asked as he too, looked around.

[Mewsland]

"They haven't seen it. Project Voyager has been under wraps. Computer. Systems report."

Mew then lapsed into archaic Mew, which predated humanity by thousand of years and would later be stolen by humans and used as the French language.

The Gibetan Representatives did not understand him. They spoke German, some Middle-Eastern Languages, and Russian. They simply sat there, their eyes wondering around, looking at each individual control panel and each thing they could point out to look at. They were indeed amazed at this ship.

"Maintenez le bon travail, Kitty, et je vous prendrai vers le haut pour la promotion."

"Très gentil, Miaulez."

Mew quit barking orders in archaic Mew and then lapsed back into English to talk to the Gibetans. "I know about 55 languages well and another 15 badly. I can write in 47 of them, though there hasn't been much time to practice the Linear B, cuneiform, hieroglyphs, or pre-archaic Mew script lately."

"Miaulez!"

"Ce qui?"

"Approche de vingt starships de pirate! Regarde comme ils nous ont repérés!"

"Merde! Entrez en contact avec la flotte! Armes et boucliers vers le haut! Toutes les mains aux stations de bataille! Il est temps pour que ce starship soit baptisé en feu!"

"We've got company, gentlemen! 20 pirate ships on the way!"

"Very well. What will you have us do, Mew?" Kareme asked. He was not used to being in a fight not aboard his own ship. The others were worried as well.

[Mewsland]

"Well, what are your areas of expertise?"

Mew then barked another order in archaic Mew.

"Tactique, masquez le navire. La meilleure ligne de conduite est une attaque par surprise."

"Well, I used to be a Gunnery Commander. I was a very good one back when I first joined." Kareme said as he looked at Mew.
"I was a pilot back when I was a youth, that's been a few years ago though,I suppose I could help out in Fighter Command?" Kietel said. The others explained that they were Gunners at one time.

[Mewsland]

"Okay. Kareme, you take the tactical station here at the bridge. Kietel, I want you to lead the fighter shuttles. The rest of you: Tactical Systems Control on Deck 8, sections 5, 6, 7, 8, and 10. Let's go!"

[Gibet]

"Very well, you heard the man." Kareme said as he started for the tactical station. Kietel headed for Fighter Controll and the other went to one of the designated areas Mew had given.

[Mewsland]

Mew also provided the Gibetans with a universal Mew translator, as 160 different dialects of archaic Mew were spoken throughout the Galaxy. "Let's do it! Fly right on top of them, decloak, and then hit them with everything we have!"

Kietel made it to fighter control and began to give advice on different fighter sweeps and prefeered attack patterns for different assualts.
Kareme had made it to his station and began to examine everything carefully. He didn't want to mess anything up.

[Mewsland]

A computer display sprang up in front of Kareme. It was a multi-layered holograph - a new type of computer display designed for testing on the new refit of the Voyager-class battleship.

And it was all in archaic Mew.

The script would be totally confusing to anybody without a Mew translator. It was made of symbols with massive numbers of curls. "L'interface seize d'ordinateur de Mewsland Starship Voyager exige le code d'autorisation tactique."

The translator would then whir to life in Kareme's hand. "Mewsland Starship Voyager computer interface sixteen requires tactical authorization code."

[Gibet]

Kareme thought for a few seconds and then, he yelled for Mew. "Mew! What's the Tactical Authorization code?!" He asked while looking at the Hologram.

[Mewsland]

"Ordinateur! Le code d'autorisation tactique Miaulez-sept-sept-un-neuf-six!"

"Le code d'autorisation Miaulez-sept-sept-un-neuf-six a accepté. L'accès tactique a accordé."

"There you go, Kareme. I am ordering a translation of the interface into English for you!"

"Ordinateur. Traduisez l'interface seize d'ordinateur en anglais. Autorisation Miaulez-sept-sept-un-neuf-six."

"Interface 16 translated. English interface granted."

[Gibet]

"Thanks! I'll get to looking at the ship over-all and see what I can do." Kareme said as he looked back at the now easier to understand Interface. He started to look over the ships main weapons.

[Mewsland]

A series of 52 blips, 27 colored red, another 15 in orange, and a third group of 10 in yellow, appeared <spread out> across the holo-maps of the ship. Red blips indicated phaser arrays, orange blips were point-defense cannons, and yellow blips were torpedo launchers. A series of command buttons appeared next to each blip. One of them read "Select Status", another read "Energy Control", and a third read "Firing Selection". Three more tabs on the holo-screen read "Shield Systems", "Armor Systems", and "Security Control". They would allow for control of every tactical system on the ship.

[Gibet]

"Awaiting orders, Mew!" Kareme said as he looked at the blips on the screen. He began to look at any other crew members around him.

[Mewsland]

"Standby on weapons systems. Point-defense cannons to full power. Phasers at 75% power, and torpedoes set at Level 8. Activate the auto-targeting systems, and shields up to full setting. Deploy the armor."

[Gibet]

Kareme nodded and turned back to the system. He started to change the systems to match Mew's orders.

"Deploying armor. Point defence cannons full power, phasers at 75%. Torpedoes are Level 8. Shields are full settings. Auto Targeting sytems are online." He said as he continued to operate the sytem and was watching the screens for changes.

[Mewsland]

Mew's hands went flying across the main holomap controls and suddenly the 3D view of Voyager was replaced with a 3D sensor map, showing a blue blip <Voyager>, 20 red blips <the pirates>, and a number of green blips <Mewsland vessels>. Suddenly, a number of orange blips appeared across the holo-map.

"Avertissement : Torpille entrante."

The translator whirred to life again. "Warning: Incoming torpedo."

"Navigateur! Prenez une mesure évasive! Modelez l'alpha sept de Miaulez!"

"Incoming torpedoes, Kareme! Point defense cannons -- Fire!"

[Gibet]

"Roger! Firing." Kareme said as he began to fire the Point Defence cannons in the torpedoes' direction. The cannon began to roar to life.
