Damascus,
Province of Syria
Armenian Empire

The Armenian 3rd Corps garrisoned themselves inside the city, executing the entire city's Muslim population in a bid to prevent a pro-Isle'ish 5th Column from rising. Cannons were set up, Christians were armed by the hundreds. This was to be the last stand of the III Corps, their fate undecided.

"I believe that a short walk about town will be best. Afterwords, I would be honored to meet His Majesty if possible. I am afraid that I have several things to discuss which even the prying ears of a secure palace should not be hearing." He glanced around quickly, "What is your governments opinion of the events unfolding in Iraq?"

Twelve hours ago several checkpoints on the Persian Border were brutally attacked by armed gunmen. The death toll stands now at nearly 150 innocent lives lost, and countless more wounded. By identification of the gunmen's bodies, weapon forensics and other methods we have been able to positively identify the origin of these shooters. The government of Persia has supplied, armed, and trained these Fengese nationals in a un-warranted strike on Pillowlandian soil. As such, His Majesty Jonathan Athwas Johgs II has declared the full mobilization of the Army, Air Force, and Navy in defense of the nation. We will protect Pillowlandian citizens and interests abroad, and shall not bow down from these threats.

"Well the attack was certainly not wanted.. but we can use it to our advantage." Frederick said, looking over the latest reports. Johnathon looked over city, slowly drinking a glass of coffee. "Frederick. It is time my plans for the last five years to come to fruition. We have purged the aristocracy. Rebuilt our military. Thank you." With that he walked over to him, pulling the reports from his hands. "Now, let us not talk business for a little while?" With that Frederick smirked.

Across the street a lone poperazai, as usual, saw and began snapping photos. The news cycle would be interesting come press time.

"Genera Cardenas, we have just received and authenticated orders from the Palace. We have been given the green light to initiate operations." Danial looked at the paper, the maneuvers were nearly identical to the practice doctrine. It became clear that this was a mission in the works for several years, likely since the young new emperor had been crowned. Danial sighed, the next few weeks would be intense. "And the naval operations?" The aide pulled another sheet of paper from his clipboard, " I have word the amphibious assault carriers left port several hours ago. The schedule has them beginning landing operations in the next three hours. SEAD operations are beginning now, the first CAS flight should be overhead right about no-" He paused as a flight of jets passed over. "Well that answers the question. Sir, we're marked for our first division to cross in ten minutes." Danial nodded, "Then what are we waiting for? We have a schedule to keep. Begin operations."

With those words the combined arms of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd regular armies began swarming the boarder. They expected little resistance for the next several hours, after that they were unsure how committed Feng was to their promise. If they were as they said, then the 4th and 5th regular armies would be standing ready to strike at any Feng moves. In addition mass swaths of the reserve forces had been activated, bolstering the lines and providing further trained manpower.

Kandi nodded. He said "That is a very excellent plan. Since there's not really much here out in the suburbs, I assume that firstly you'll want to drive into Toad Town proper, either with me or your own people." and then gestured towards his own vehicle before continuing on "As for a meeting with His Imperial Majesty, he is otherwise occupied until just after 3pm but you will certainly be able to meet him afterwards. As for your secrets, you might be better off asking someone else for ideas and then telling me. Unlike many people, I try to avoid the shady covert stuff." He then seemingly randomly paused and assumed a much more dull and 'official' voice. "As for the Iraq Incident, the official policy of the Government is that we do not explictly approve or denounce either side of the conflict. We will be adopting a stance of neutrality and non-interventionism. Private corporations are free to transact with whomever they desire within reason."

Church of Maxwellism Network Hub: 003c2b74 (Toad Town)

The meeting had been very nicely roaring with the fires of debate and argument. While a few of the 13 physically present people argued that the Government should be trusted not to breach any security systems or intervene, the majority opinion is that the new measures would have a negative impact on tne Church and the study of WAN. It was very undesirable for rhe Network and the Data to be used and operated in such a watched and controlled environment. Eventually, the fires cooled down to a sizzling ember and the de-facto lader spoke once more. "It would seem that we hsve reached a natural termination point. This talk is concluded. Are we all in agreement as to what must be done to ensure the security of the Network and indeed, the entire Church?" - All of the other attendees nodded albeit with some quiet voices saying that the government would not harm the network and could be trusted. They spoke again "It is resolved that we will need to infiltrate the government and subsequently the systems and programs that will be used to monitor us. We will create stronger sacremental firewalls around all the servers in Network Hubs. Proposals for exactly how we should get inside should be discussed in IRC 12 hours from now." Finally, everyone at the meeting stood up. The de-facto leader said "Praised be WAN, now let us go in peace" which was responded to by a loud "Praised be WAN" before everyone left to go home and do their own thing.

Minister Kandi smiled. He said "Alrighty then, sir if you would please come with me. Estimated travel time from here to the Imperial Palace is one hour, so if you want we can talk on the way." and gestured for the Pillowlandian official to follow him as he walked back towards the vehicle that he had come from.

Diplomacy:

Yujing Capitol Building, Congress, and Senate
You’d think now, the President was a veteran himself. For quite a long time now, many would assure you, his tired eyes have seen war itself. In truth, it was perhaps the battles he faced to keep rule. To him, perhaps, intrigue was a staple to his life. Beside him was his nephew, the Emperor. Another, perhaps, theoretical veteran. You’d assume that maybe these two were old friends from an old campaign and in truth they were. Except that their campaign was a tricky one. It was leading a nation.

Lulong Yin casually walked down the hall alongside Yan Yin. One would notice that the President had now a streak of grey hair running down his natural black. Politics was a strenuous task, especially in a war-stricken state like this. A turn to the right and there, the duo had arrived in the congress.

The congress was silenced, awaiting the duo to sit down. “Chancellor.” One of the congressmen said. “I trust you have something to discuss?”

“Indeed, fellow congressman.” Lulong said, his voice full of wisdom. “Today, I ask you for your aid.” He began, taking a sip of water. “We are bound by law to help our brothers in Persia and today comes a time where we must do so!” He says, further continuing. “But you see: a Kingdom divided is no Kingdom at all and as such today I take a vote to ensure we remain united. Will you congressman support a war against the treacherous Pillowlandians?” He asks, speculating their decision.

“Is that a question, Chancellor?!” One of the congressman asked. “I know of no man who would not support this.” Another remarked. The congressmen begin discussing in hushed tones, Lulong patiently awaiting their decision. “May we begin counting the votes?” He asks, the congressmen nodding in reply.

For a moment, votes were carefully taken and recorded accordingly. Yan was grinning, knowing the result beforehand.

“The results are… a landslide!” The recorder remarked. “What is it, spit it out!” One of the congressmen asked. “One… hundred percent, to support the war!” He said, stifling a gasp. Lulong grinned, gesturing for Yan to get up.

The Emperor, clearing his throat, stood up from his chair to deliver a speech about the results.

“So it has been decided. We will go to war with the Empire of Pillowlandia. We will adhere to our treaty, and show our allies that we are with them no matter who tries to fight them! We will remind Pillowlandia of who is the dominant nation in Asia, and who is the father of the East! We will show them the Sleeping Dragon of Feng, and will wake our nation up and once again take flight after our long rest! We will take our fate back into our hands and strike down this scheming Naga once and for all! We will protect Persia as if it was our own Bear cub! We will… we will … WE WILL FULFILL OUR ANCIENT DUTY OF BEING THE PROTECTOR OF THE VIRTUOUS, THE WEAK, THE BRAVE, THE FREE, AND ALL THAT IS ASIA AND WE WILL! WE WILL PROTECT ALL PEOPLE OF THE EAST AND THE ORIENT AND WE WILL SHOW THE PILLOWLANDIANS, BACKSTABBERS TO THE OCCIDENT AND THE WORLD THAT THE DRAGON OF FENG STANDS READY TO STRIKE DOWN ALL THREATS TO PEACE AND JUSTICE IN THIS WORLD! WE WILL HAVE VICTORY, AND MAKE SURE THAT THE PILLOWLANDIAN EMPIRE WILL REMEMBER THIS FOR GENERATIONS NOT AS AN ACT OF FENG AGGRESSION, BUT AS DIVINE PUNISHMENT AGAINST THEIR AMBITIOUS LEADER WHO WISHES TO BRING WAR TO THE WORLD, AND WE WILL MAKE SURE THAT EVERY FUTURE GENERATION IN PILLOWLANDIA WILL REMEMBER THEIR LEADER WHO CAUSED THIS WAR NOT AS A HERO DESTROYED BY FENG, BUT AS A VILLAINOUS SCOUNDREL WHO WAS DEALT JUSTICE! THE FUTURE PILLOWANDIAN GENERATIONS WILL VIEW US AS HEROES AND SAVIOURS, NOT AS OPPRESSORS! I DECLARE THAT FENG WILL TAKE NO TERRITORY IN THIS WAR, AND WHILE WE WILL USE CHEMICAL WEAPONS, WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO USE IT TO TARGET THE ENVIRONMENT AND THE FORESTS FOR OUR ADVANCE, AND HELP ANY CIVILIANS AND ENEMY SOLDIERS AFFECTED BY IT AND SHOW THEM MERCY AND KINDNESS! THIS DATE WILL LIVE IN HISTORY AS THE DATE THAT JUSTICE PREVAILED IN GLOBAL POLITICS, NOT CORRUPT AGGRESSION AND PERSONAL INTERESTS!
EVERYONE! ALL FOR JUSTICE, JUSTICE FOR ALL!”

The emperor then set down, winded by the long and passionate speech he had just made. The last few lines had been spoken with a particular fire and passion not usually seen in national leaders. Not the fire of ambition or rage, but the flames of sincerity and true desire to do good in the world, much like his family had done for generations.

The room was full of applause, congressmen approving the fiery speech. It could very well be the speech that would be the flame to set the Pillowlandians apart. Who knows? The duo once more left. They still had plenty more work to do.

Next they entered a more quiet room. The Foreign Ministry, where the Famed Tong Yin did his work. Tong Yin was not part of the Yin family, but had been given the name to honor his work for the country and the work of his father before him, who had died after being killed by an enemy spy in a war fought about a quarter a century ago. Tong was older than his friend Yan, being in his mid thirties, but he and Yan had remained close throughout childhood. Tong had been given the command of the military at only 11 years old-which caused a massive debate in parliament about letting one so young command the entire military. But Tong had since he was four, studied modern military strategy and politics rigorously with a passion, and by age nine, had been able to outdebate many top military officials. He was considered by many to be a genius, and when he was given command of the military at age 11, he proved those words by winning many brilliant victories against Feng enemies and though there was still a debate over that if Tong was responsible enough, he quickly soothed their fears. Granted, a few more years of debate of allowing or not child soldiers were held due to Feng abandoning that practice centuries ago, but they eventually decided to make an exception for this General. He had risen in rank and by age twenty seven, had also gained the titles and positions of Defense Minister and Foreign Minister, being the only military officer to hold that position since the early 1700’s.
He was loyal to Yan Yin, treating him like a younger brother, and often would get angry at those few who believed he should overthrow the emperor. While many soldiers supported the emperor, there were a few(A few dozen, less than 100) who believed that Tong Yin should be emperor instead, and his loyalty and harsh punishments to those who suggested he seize power for himself made him known as one of the best and most loyal generals in the last century Feng history- and that, for Feng, is quite an achievement, as many generals are very loyal to the people and the crown, though occasionally an ambitious general attempts a coup and is either thwarted or takes control over a small foreign territory Feng holds.

When they walked in, Tong and Nobuchika Asakura(The Deputy Foreign Minister) were having an intense debate, with Nobuchika looking livid. This struck both the President and the Emperor as odd, as the two were usually good friends. They watched for a few moments, until the Emperor cleared his throat, getting the two men to snap to attention and bow respectfully.

“What is the matter here? You two are usually like two peas in a pod.” Yan said concernedly.

Nobuchika slowly got back up, swallowed hard, and stammered, trying to form a reply.

“Tong ha-has gone mad! He wants to do something totally in-insane! An action that would mak-make us a laughingstock and just make things worse!”

“What did he suggest?” Lulong asked quietly.

“He-he wants us to request peace talks with the Unified Free Isles, and form an alliance with them. They’d never accept that. We are at war with them. It’s ridiculous.”

Yan then spoke up.
“Interesting Tong. What do you have to say about this?”

“Your majesty, if we agree to a peace treaty and to peace talks, we could persuade them to agree to our demands in exchange to having us as an ally to fight Pillowlandia, instead of fighting us both. Especially if we claim the current Iraqi regime is a Fascist dictatorship that isn’t even ethnically Iraqi and that public support is for Feng.”

“Interesting Tong...what do you have to say uncle?”

“I like it. We’d gain an ally and be able to focus on the Pillowlandian front.”

“But they’d never agree to it! Attempting this and offering a ceasefire or an armistice would only make us lose precious time, money, momentum, and prestige. We must have our forces retreat from Iraq and prepare for a slower but more calculated offensive.” Nobuchika argued. “This would only humiliate us.”

“Perhaps.” The Emperor mused. “Tong, do you think it will work?”

“I am 100% positive my lord.” Tong replied quietly.

“Then do it. We will do this then, as it seems to be the best option to avoid a drawn out war. Nobuchika?”

The Deputy Foreign Minister, looking defeated, finally conceded.
“I’ll write it up…” He mumbled.

Lulong spoke up. “Don’t forget to ask the Armenians to stop their genocide and to have us condemn it publicly. They are our allies but not doing this would make us look bad.”

Nobuchika nodded, then headed to the computer.

Greetings your excellency. We, the Feng, would like to offer you a deal for peace. We recognize that a drawn out war in Iraq would be disadvantageous for both of us, and that we both have our eyes on a bigger opponent...Pillowlandia.
Feng offers you a military alliance and cooperation against Pillowlandia in Persia and Feng will take no land in any potential invasion from Pillowlandia, and will agree to not annex Persian land for ten years and keep a military alliance with them for at least four years, and create economic ties and trade between us, boosting our economies. We will also condemn the Armenian’s breach of human rights by slaughtering hundreds of thousands of Arabs, and while they will remain our ally, we will pressure them to stop.
We will also sign multiple trade deals with UFL.
In exchange, we request the following:
-A mutual defense pact, and the UFL joining the Yujing Pact Military Alliance
-Withdrawal of UFL troops from Iraq and reassignment to Persia to help fight the Pillowlandians.
-The partitioning of Iraq between Feng, Persia, and Armenia

We will say that the current leader of Iraq is the son of a traitorous former Feng General and is a Fascist, and not even ethnically Iraqi and regularly oppresses Iraqis. He is also incompetent, brutal and and selfish. He is not fit to rule Iraq. In contrast, many Iraqi citizens would like Feng to take over Iraq, and Feng intends to as it will also be retaking rightful Feng territory. It will split it with Persia and Armenia, and will be fair and equal to Iraqis and treat them as if they lived in the Feng heartland. Feng will also work to make sure Armenia and Persia do the same. Your other option is to fight a long, bloody, needless war over a crackpot Fascist dictatorship.
We hope you will make the right decision. We look forward to your reply.
-Sincerely, Nobuchika Asakura, Feng Deputy Foreign Minister

Greetings. We have heard of your slaughter of many Muslims after the capture of Damascus. Though you are a favored ally and we wish to maintain close ties, we cannot overlook this as a violation of human rights and a violation of Yujing’s rules of war(Which, we should remind you, is much looser than the Geneva conventions, but prevents the execution of an entire population of a certain ethnicity or religious group). Many native Iraqis and Arabs support our campaign, and oppose the regime and UFL forces, and this will only make us look bad. We request that you deliver an official public apology to all Muslims and all people who had family members or families slaughtered in the massacre, and a program to make it up to Muslims and promote reconciliation between Muslims and Christians, no matter the past and even if Muslims slaughtered Christians and Armenians in the past. This will help both our reputations and prevent a diplomatic crisis from occurring between us and other nations, or between us. We hope you send a favorable reply soon.-Feng Deputy Foreign Minister, Nobuchika Asakkura[/box]

Military:
Tibet
Feng troops and paratroopers appeared all across the Tibetan border, air sorties launching missions to distract enemy air defences. that allowed the Feng infantry and armor to land on the Plateaus of Tibet. 10,000 Feng troops set their sights on the nearest major Tibetan city, Amdo, and immediately prepared to advance. There was a particular large force of IFVs in the attacks, nearly 200, rolling towards nearby towns and cities in step with the paradropped infantry. The invasion was supported by the Feng Air Force, with a third the air force being dedicated to the campaign in Tibet, which was roughly 1,700 planes attacking enemy positions and disrupting enemy fortifications.

Bengal
The region of Bengal had roughly 270,000 Feng forces in the region, and, when the news broke, the forces prepared for combat.
Less than three hours after the declaration of war, Feng forces began firebombing forests and taking great lengths to avoid civilians, whilst attempting to gain air superiority over the region with about 950 Feng planes in the area, that like in Tibet, cleared obstacles, bombed enemy fortifications and command centers, and engaged in occasional fights with other planes in the skies.
After the initial air assault, the Infantry began moving west aiming to take the town of Sylhet before the week's end, moving quickly through the cleared forests and attempting to rescue civilians and treat them with great care and kindness, which was a staple of Feng's war strategy-A method of psychological warfare designed to make Feng seem like the good guys, though, the current Emperor had pushed for this strategy more than even his predecessor, partially due to his benevolence, partially because he wanted to have as less insurgents as possible. Any towns captured would be reassured that Feng would not annex or oppress them, and would allow them to have their freedom after the war and even help pay for some of the damages.

Persia
After the formal declaration of war, Feng forces-as many as 180,000-moved to counter the Pillowlandian attack with a strong defense, while the other 120,000 decided to stay in key defensive regions away from the border just in case defensive lines were broken.
As many as 1050 Feng planes were used in the defense to take out enemy Tanks and infantry, launching a deadly counterattack to stall and hopefully eventually reverse the enemy's advance at the cities of Srinagar, Multan, and Lahore.

Ya'te Li/Abdullah al-Zirikani
Organizing militants on the Outskirts of Mosul, Iraq
5 Ramadan, 1437/6203-06-10, 2000 Hours

"Men of God", they were. Sacred was their mission. There were but a handful of men left in Mosul putting up resistance against the Feng, as the demoralized conventional Iraqi army of cowards had all but fled the city to leave it to a logistically-troubled enemy. The men staying with al-Zirikani once contributed to the Iraqi Revolution that earned the nation its independence, believing in the fiction that Iraq would finally be free from oppression. Instead, they were cast away to observe their own people exploited by the increasingly corrupt generals stationed in Baghdad.

But then he came. Al-Zirikani saved them. Thus, not only the men present, but many more Iraqi militiamen, owed their allegiance to the name of Abdullah al-Zirikani.

"Salaam, my brothers." He greeted as he came inside the abandoned house where several other militants waited for him, then began speaking in Arabic. "Feng comes. During Ramadan, no less."

"And others as well." One of the militants, seated with his arms folded, spoke. "They come, not for benefit of people, but to inflate their empires. They dare disregard holy month."

Al-Zirikani cleared his throat upon that sentence.

"The infidels attack at their peril." He said. "Our long-awaited moment has come. Most unfortunate is that it must take place during Ramadan, but chance is chance nonetheless. Our victory awaits. Brothers, have you eaten your fill? For this night until next, we will have to fight with clear stomachs."

"Yes, we are ready."

"Insha'Allah."

"Insha'Allah."

Each of the militants took firearms, and went on their way to battle against the Feng invaders.

Yingshu Lu/Hideki Kuga
Inconspicuous businessman in Yujing, Feng
Going about his daily life, as usual

Yujing, the "Capital of Asia"; where peace had always reigned for many decades since the end of the global wars. How peaceful, however, the people dared not talk, for they knew their neighbors thirsted for more power and territories. Perhaps the whole domain of the Feng was not as well-defended or unified as previously thought; such that an "upstart rebel" could subvert ill-prepared imperial forces and declare the establishment of an independent Iraq.

"Today, a declaration of war-"

As everyone watched anxiously upon the TV screen at the news of new declarations of war throughout the world, during a time of great tension, a man in suit and tie entered the local pub, seeming exhausted from a day of work. He sat down at the bar, resting his head near a couple of glasses.

"Whiskey, man."

The bartender was quick to deliver; and there, next to the man, was whiskey. He got up and looked towards the darkness outside - there was nobody entering. Then he looked around - everyone was fixated on the TV screen; nobody for him to blabber to as well. He sighed. He took out a small piece of paper from his shirt's pocket.

"You seem unwell." The bartender spoke.

"Oh, you noticed? What with these wars everywhere and this giant workload of mine... Life isn't easy anymore, you know."

"No, I don't." The bartender answered as he wiped the glassware. "Life can get a lot more exciting. Tonight, tomorrow, the next few years. Finish that whiskey of yours, and maybe the world would be a lot more exciting. Enjoy it while it lasts, friend."

The man looked at his glass of whiskey. Then, he glanced at the piece of paper from earlier.

"TO: Mr. HIDEKI KUGA"

He tore it to shreds, then downed the whiskey and gave the bartender some change.

"Thanks. I needed that."

The man - Hideki Kuga - left the place, looking brighter than when he made his entrance.
was a good run lmao

The informal meeting room in the Palace of Government was over-stacked. Not only were the eleven Lords of Government present, which were effectively the Government, but also everyone the whole Leadership of the Royal Army: Not only the Directors, but also the Subdirectors, of even the most irrelevant Subdirectories in existence. It was nothing unusual on the Isles that the Military was present in Regular Government Meetings. There had been times in which the functions of the Government was effectively under the control of the Generals, and these times weren´t necessarily gone: The Royal Army still had a tight grip around Isle´ish Politics.

“Suggestions ?”, asked Lord High Chancellor James Maitland, the Head of Government and informally the most powerful man on the Isles. A man that worked his way up in the military hierarchy to achieve his current position.

There had been two groups within these meetings in the past weeks: The Pro-Feng group and the Pro-Pillowlandian Group. It had already seemed as if Maitland was to join the Pillowlandian Group, but he always had left the door open, not replying to the Commonwealth, in case something was about to change.

And something had changed. Feng was backing up from fighting the Royal Army. The Military Leadership, and by extension to Lords, considered this a clear sign of weakness. Feng was desperate. The Suggestions were all similar. Peace with Feng, but with harsh conditions, and non-Aggression with Pillowlandia (And a forced Peace between both).

A LETTER BEARING THE ROYAL SEAL
towards the most honorable Yan Yin
Emperor of Feng
to be handed to him in person,

written by Sir James Maitland
Lord High Chancellor
And Imperial Jarl of Maitland
And Bearer of the Knight Grand Cross of Queen Victoria
And Knight of King Horatio
And General-Secretary of the Jacob´s Party

All the Lord´s blessing upon thee, most splendid Emperor !

First of all, I would wish to inform you that we have indeed found someone who can translate our most ancient speech into a fine form of your tongue. I hope that this shall help us to communicate in a better way. I and my government, as well as the Leadership of the Royal Army and obviously her Majesty, Queen Victoria (Long shall she reign) herself have been very approving of your recent letter towards us. We all consider your attempts for peace and the greater good of the people as most amicable.

Generally speaking, the War in Iraq has been a great misunderstanding. We never had any particular interest in protecting the life of the Dictator of Iraq, we made it very clear to him that he would only be tolerated for this immediate time of crisis. I have to inform you though that he was slayed in a very unfortunate car accident two weeks ago. Royal Intelligence has sadly given up on further investigating the matter after the files regarding his person were mistaken for trash.

Generally speaking, we approve of your conditions for peace, but would like to extend them a little bit further:

A - Regarding the Unified Isles and Feng
I - The Unified Isles are accepted into the Yujing Pact
II - Feng officially pays reparations towards the Royal Army for the unnecessary damage it has done to it because of its lack of considerations

B - Regarding the State of the Middle East
III - The partitioning of Iraq into two states under dependency of Feng and Armenia
IV - The Complete Demilitarization of Iraq
V - The Withdrawal of Fengese and Isle´ish Troops from Persia
VI - The Creation of a new Persian State under Fengese Dependency

The three pronged advance of the army had thus far moved with little opposition, and the little which had been offered thus far was swiftly eliminated. 320,000 men. General Cardenas had that many men at his disposal officially, even more if you counted the reserve troops attached to his formations. As the forces continued their advance they had one goal. Force the Persians to Capitulate. Quickly. The terror attack would not go unpunished. As he spoke the 2nd Army moved through central Pakistan towards the heart of Pakistan, and the 3rd Army marched upon Karachi. Each force had equal men to his own, the relatively tiny force which Feng had deployed alongside the Persian Army would simply be washed away in the coming flood.

"Scramble, Fengenese aircraft have crossed the border!" As it was yelled out in the command room the alarms across the base rang, as the hordes of planes prepared hours earlier for the inevitable counterattack began their mission. Destroy the Feng Air Force. To accomplish this the entire capacity of the 1st Air Force had been activated, including the Commonwealth Air Guard. As the Feng began ground runs with (presumably ground strike craft?) the Pillowlandian fighters began to engage them, aiming to destroy both their fighter escort and the more vulnerable strike craft. While the Pillowlandians were outnumbered in the air-though only by two dozen- they flew some of the newest planes available to the Commonwealth. From the stealthy F-23 interceptor to their AWACs coverage, each plane was built to take at least five enemies with them. Of course, it would be best to not have any of the expensive planes shot down. But this was war, and war never changes.

The surprise airdrop by the Feng forces was to be honest, a legitimate surprise. No one expected them to waste men like that. Unfortunately for them, they would be swiftly crushed beneath the wave of men preparing to cross the border. Similar to the armies invading Persia the Feng armies were the same size, though there were only two of them. In total 640,000 infantry and armor would cross the border swiftly as they prepared to pressure Feng into pulling out.

As for the plateaus they must have seriously underestimated the forces present to defend, in the region the entire body of the 4th army was present. To deal with incursion the 4th Army didn't even bother detaching any forces. Instead a force of two reserve divisions were detached to deal with them. Presently they sat in wait, they would encircle them once they truly committed to an attack. After all, they had an open supply line. The Feng did not.

In the air there had been enough aircraft requisitioned for once. In the air soared an even 2,000 planes. Many were a mix of advanced new craft and some slightly older ones. After allowing the Feng planes to close distance with their initial attacks the air defense networks swiftly went to work, filling the high mountainous air with flack and SAMs. From the direction of the Feng border several small airports which had been built and camouflaged were activated as their craft moved in from the year to cut off the retreat as the wave of Pillowlandian jets began to sortie, all in a highly scheduled and orderly plan.

"It has."

"Shall we begin?"

"We shall."

The news about the attacks had come quite rapidly. The land borders of Pillowlandia Minor had violently exploded following a supposed Persian attack on Pillowlandian territory. General Udachny didn't believe it for a second. The circumstances seemed too odd. Just as the Pillowlandians showed interest in expanding into Persia, the Persians "attacked" them. Either way, their orders from Sevick were clear.

"Salekhard, what's our aerial situation?" asked Udachny to his lieutenant on the deck of the TSS Chelyabinsk the aircraft carrier of the fleet.

"We've got a CAG and an AWACS in the air, and a satellite with plenty of delta-v overhead, due for a refuel in a couple weeks. We're set," he replied.

"Good. We'll be needing all of it. Get another CAG in the air," he directed Salekhard. The next statement came through speakers on the entire fleet's bridges. "All forces, prepare to head east. We're going to be landing in Gujarat. Do not fire unless fired upon, I want this clean as long as possible."

The debate over where to move next filled the room. Some people thought the rebels should consolidate their grip on their territory in West Java. Others thought that they needed rapid expansion to Jakarta. Roman was wondering why the hell the Order wanted three Boeing 747s from a local airline. But then again, it wasn't his job to wonder. He poked his nose into the room.

"Just got a call from my... employers. They'd like some jets from the local airport," he stated, as nonchalantly as he could while interrupting their conversation.

"The fuck? Why?" asked Eko, as confused by the request as everyone else.

"Dunno. But we've helped you seize a nice chunk of land so far, it's time for a little compensation," replied Roman.

"Fine. Get some pilots here and take them to wherever they need to go," said Eko, somewhat irked that his conversation with the other leaders was
A. Interrupted, and
B. Not going too smoothly.
Finally, he was forced to put his foot down on moving towards Jakarta. They were to rush the capital however they could.

Roman shrugged at this, and took his leave. Later that evening, an unmarked helicopter landed in Subang, and let three pilots out to borrow some jets from Indonesian Airlines. Unbeknownst to Roman, but certainly known to both the TPA command in Sevick and Alveare Mentitum.

WARNING: The parts involving Rhee-Il and Dr. Pierre in the following post may be disturbing for some audiences. Should you feel like skipping straight from backstory to action sequences, please feel free to do so.

Lt. Gen. Menta Rhee-Il
Attending meeting of People's Defense Council in People's Palace, Alamo
1930 Hours, 6203-06-02

Perhaps not the most talented, but the short, stout Lieutenant General Menta Rhee-Il certainly was among the most active commanding officers of the National Revolutionary Army, even into his early fifties. He showed ruthless disregard for conventions of war, human rights and the lives of most of his assets. A polite but abusive man without conscience. Most of the time, seen by his side was his cold-blooded human guard dog, Colonel Talung Ping - a lean, early middle-aged man who had his head shaved bald, the Zyrikan dragon tattooed to his head and a goatee grown under his chin.

"Lt. Gen. Rhee-Il." The general hosting the meeting invited the man to speak.

"Thank you, Comrade. Colonel, would you please."

Inserting a tape into the player, Ping quickly returned to his master's side. Holding the remote, Rhee-Il started to switch between slides.

"Comrades, it is just as we planned." He pointed at a slide showing monochrome photos of black-haired people in peasant clothing, holding firearms and in offensive stances. He then switched to a map of Indochina, with the approximated borders of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. "An uprising is in the making in southern Indochina. No. To be more precise, our three comrade nations. They have begun putting up heroic resistance as united reactionary forces against the Feng oppressors. No longer are they hold down by the grip of the tree-dwelling snakes!"

The other men present in the room clapped to applaud Rhee-Il's report. Only one of them clapped very slowly.

"But I'm afraid that will not be all. At this rate, reactionary forces will be easily suppressed by the Feng and their treacherous allies." So they nodded and whispered among themselves - with the exception of one. "Thus, I propose that we send in our advisors to reinforce our Indochinese comrades. But of course, that I am not yet a General means any measure of help we provide would be insufficient. As the originator of this entire project, I must insist that my promotion to General be hastened."

"But this is not our decision to make, Comrade Rhee-Il! We, too, agree with your plan and would like it to be in motion, but your promotion can only be signed by the wills of Anla, The Inner Party and Our Iron-Fisted Paramount Leader - Peace Be Upon Him!"

"Comrade, you need not worry! I have secured a seal of approval from-"

"Slander! Treachery!" The man who had been consistently showing little enthusiasm at Rhee-Il's proposals from the start stood up to protest. He was Lt. Gen. Leiying Lo - Rhee-Il's main adversary in the Zyrikan leadership. "This is an outrage! Paramount Leader would never give approval to such an idiotic dimwit as LIEUTENANT General Rhee-Il!"

"You and your big mouth, LIEUTENANT General Rhee-Il. Please, LIEUTENANT General, enlighten us all as to how many nefarious plans have been hatched in that brain of yours in order to further our nation's standing in the world?"

The room fell into silence, as everyone looked towards Lt. Gen. Lo. His face as red and burning hot as Zyrikan chili, Lo was forced to sit down and calm himself as Rhee-Il continued his speech.

"Months of planning, comrades! Months of preparation! The cause of Ultranationalist Reaction will be furthered still! I present to you, our next big step towards GLOBAL REACTION!"

Rhee-Il switched to a different slide with several photos. Three of him, his bodyguard and second-in-command, and another man, with their names labeled in Zyrikan underneath: MENTA RHEE-IL, TALUNG PING and FRÉDÉRIC-ÉTIENNE PIERRE. Along them were two, much larger monochrome photos of an unknown gaseous substance, and one more of a young Caucasian woman - stripped bare and laid upon a flat surface.

"So after this, I present to you, the footage of these projects' progress."

The slide faded to a bright shade of red, as the video slowly started to play.

Dr. Frédéric-Étienne Pierre
Monitoring progress of Rhee-Il's project in his lab
Specific location of the lab unknown
2230 Hours, 6203-05-27

The Warlord Era was still fresh in Le Docteur's memories.

Born to an entrepreneurial family in Mesonia (modern Namkiang), Pierre had been a proven prodigy in scientific fields at a young age - in exchange for his social conduct and personality: one of constant schizophrenia and paranoia. His stint with the R&D division in the armed forces of the Mesonian Republic ended when the Republic's government and Department of Defense were publicly executed, signalling the end of an Era for both independent Mesonia and Zyrika as a whole.

Unwilling to die, the man sold out his colleagues in the lab where he worked. Security forces were murdered. Men were tortured for information and/or summarily executed. Women were gang-raped. As all of that happened, Rhee-Il gave Pierre - codenamed "Le Docteur" - a tap on the shoulder. "Good work, Monsieur Le Docteur. We expect more from our cooperation. We have work to do."

Back then, he felt nothing at those gestures. A decade or so later and everything came back to haunt him. He heard the souls of men. The scientists and security personnel working at the lab, coming back to choke him, badmouth him and call him out on his treachery. But never the women. No, the women never died. General Rhee-Il simply had them dragged elsewhere, regardless of age. None of their souls had been present in his nightmares ever since.

All he was, was a frail old man with a big living quarter full of gadgets and toys at his disposal. A living quarter that he couldn't feel safe being in, as it remained guarded 24/7 by Rhee-Il's men in hazmat suits.

"Monsieur Le Docteur! Good to see you! How goes Project Global Liberation?"

"Oh, General-! Err, um, it's... all well and good, yes! Yes, yes, the... the project! We have... prepared... the experiments. No! I mean, the... the guinea pigs! Ah God, no no no, what I meant..."

"The subjects for experiment." Colonel Ping chimed in.

"Yes! Yes! The subjects for experiment!"

"They are Enemies of the Nation?" Asked Rhee-Il.

"No, no. Actually... I don't know. Maybe. No. Yes."

"Regardless whether or not they were. They are now. Good work eliminating them, Comrade Le Docteur." Rhee-Il tapped his shoulder. "Please let me see firsthand the fruits that Anla had granted us."

"A-As you wish, General."

The men in hazmat suits led a bound and gagged Mesonian teenage girl into the room with the three men (Rhee-Il, Ping and Pierre). In another chamber separated from the one they were in by a layer of bulletproof glass, another bound and gagged young Mesonian man was led inside. Seeing the man, the girl shook her head in disbelief. A displeased Colonel Ping stormed towards her and gave her a slap. Rhee-Il's men forced her to stand up once again, by which time she was visibly trembling.

"Good job. Very good job, Monsieur Le Docteur. Just my type." Rhee-Il nodded with a satisfactory look as he eyed the Mesonian girl.

"I just... said to them that I needed- erm..."

"Test subjects." Ping reminded.

"Yes. And they just... showed up. In this. In my. My lab."

"Yes, Docteur. Your lab. Your lab." Rhee-Il reassured, while he approached to inspect the girl by himself. "Yes. Ah? What about the experiments?"

"Com-Commence... experiments!" Pierre exclaimed.

The men in hazmat suits pushed a carriage containing several syringes and many vials, each of them filled with unknown types of liquid.

"Possibility of addiction?" Rhee-Il pointed at the vials.

"98. Percent." Pierre answered.

"Chance of death from overdose?"

"Presumably... very little, but, still present, General."

"Good enough then. Colonel, would you please." Rhee-Il invited the Colonel to take the initiative. Colonel Ping grabbed both of the girl's hands and pinned her down. With his bare hands, he effortlessly tore away at her clothes - much to the horror of the girl and the man in the adjacent chamber.

"The gas! You must... you must! You must USE. The gas! On that... that... that man!" Pierre signaled the two in hazmat suits in that chamber. They nodded, opened the gag on the man, and pushed him down to the floor before leaving the room and closing the door shut.

"No! No! You- Leave her alone! Leave! Her! Alone!" He desperately shouted (in French - the language of Mesonia) as he reached for the glass and knocked his head upon it. Only the girl noticed, as the other men simply neglected him.

"Ah." Rhee-Il bent his knee next to the girl. "Is this traitorous dog... your romantic relationship, little girl?" Pierre hastily prepared a syringe with liquid from one of the vials. "Or perhaps your father? Maybe the uncle with whom you have an affair? Both of you could count towards any of crimes such as debauchery, association by blood, infidelity, incest..."

The girl shook her head as Rhee-Il stared into her eyes, as though into her very soul. The knocking behind them proved useless.

"Of course, I can make an exception for you. And only you." His left hand fondled her chest, while his right was handled the syringe. "With... conditions."

He then forcefully injected whatever was in the syringe into her delicate neck. "You would be one of my finest money makers." He said. She breathed heavily at first, before her face turned redder, and her whole body became loose.

"Release the ropes. See how she reacts." Rhee-Il orders his bodyguard Ping.

Colonel Ping cuts all the ropes binding her. She was slowly becoming docile. She reached one hand for her lower parts, and the other upwards. What other will of resistance she had left was focused on that one hand. But it couldn't. She let out a gasp, signaling any will left in her to be leaving.

"This girl... puts up little resistance." The Colonel comments.

"She has more than made up for that with her looks alone." Rhee-Il grinned.

"No... No..."

The man in the other chamber was tired of knocking his head at the glass. He only came to notice how his room was filled with a grey gas. His ropes were loosened to the point where he was freed. He walked backwards, before turning to the door, running towards it and slammed constantly.

"Get! Me! Out of here!"

Whether motivated out of fear or desire to save the girl, it was too little, too late. In an instant, the gas began to suffocate the man. The turned to see the dark, presumably empty room he was led in. Filled in his vision was the definition of debauchery. An ongoing orgy - both of the traditional and bloody, violent kinds - was all he could see. A figure clad in a black hazmat suit approached him.

"Wait... Wait! What-Where... ARGH!"

Before he knew, he was being choked by the figure, adding up to his suffocation.

He looked at the orgy behind the figure. Somewhere over there, he could see the General messing with the girl. In the very chamber he was in.

In reality, it was indeed happening - only in the room they both were in the whole time. And the one choking the man was none other than himself.

"Sir. The Enemy's sense of reality is already broken." Colonel Ping reported.

"Yes. Yes. Good. Show me later when I'm finished over here." Rhee-Il talked, loud enough to conceal the cries of the girl below him. "Docteur. Get me the other drug, and carry out the other experiment. We will see the overall results once I'm done."

"R... Roger, General. B... Bring out! The other... experiment."

Within the other chamber where the man was suffering from induced schizophrenia, a yellowish, very slightly green gas was released. Once he was surrounded by clouds of the new gas, his sight was blurred. The last sight he could see before he became blind was the smug look on Colonel Ping's face. His eyes started bleeding nonstop. After he vomited, blood built up in his mouth, bubbles of blood blowing inside, to the point where his face more resembled the openings of a volcano. Everywhere on his body, he began to bleed. The arms with which he was choking himself detached from his torso. His fingers and hands followed suit, as they lost their grip. When blood stopped dripping from his ears, they fell off. By the time his whole body disintegrated into hundreds of bits, parts of his body and innards were already liquefied into something resembling a liquid form of the gas used to kill him, while the others simply looked like blocks of blood.

Colonel Ping was more than satisfied with the results, all of which he got on his camera. Pierre, on the other hand, was horrified. Rhee-Il was simply too... busy to care.

Fifteen minutes later, Rhee-Il was once again the polite, fully clothed, venerable Lieutenant General. The girl was left an ecstatic emotional wreck on the floor, white stains all over, as she alternated between moans and self-conscious cries of physical and emotional pain.

"The aphrodisiac worked perfectly enough." Rhee-Il happily commented.

"So did the gases, sir." Ping looked to the glass separating the two chambers, the other side of which was then barely visible with traces of blood and vomit.

"G... General. The... the girl..."

"The test subject." Ping reminded.

"Yes... Yes...! She..."

"It." Ping said.

"It... is still crying!"

"Crying." Rhee-Il repeated that word. "Is little girl missing her lover-daddy? Or is it that you are crying over lost chastity? Too bad. Well..." Ping handed the General another syringe. "This will make you feel so good, you would forget about him." He grabbed her shoulder. "All you would feel, from now on, will be intense pleasure. You will remember only this drug, Our Nation, Anla, and me. Now then..."

"No..." The girl whispered to herself. She didn't want to believe. She couldn't see her friends or family, simply because she was abducted. She wished it was just a nightmare or a very bad prank.

"Ah-"

But it was real.

Current whereabouts: Southern Feng Indochina

The convoy slowly moved into the town, attracting attention of townspeople. What remained of several villages in the environs of Trường Triều were that very convoy carrying volunteers and guerrillas, adult fighters and child soldiers alike, into the town. They were carrying firearms with live rounds. It was a sight rarely behold by the town.

"People of this town!" Tường - the mobster leader of the local Việt Tộc - stood up and held his megaphone, shouting at the townspeople, "Do not resist against the People's Reaction! We wish you no harm! Join us, or leave us be - the Revolutionary Army is here, simply to liberate YOU!"

Quý was sweating. How matter how he looked at this, he was unfamiliar with this kind of situation.

"Boss! Enemy soldiers!"

"Shit!" Tường uttered. "Fire now, sons of the Reaction! Push forward! Do not let the enemy drown our Reactionary spirits in Blood and Fire!"

"DESTROY TRAITOROUS SCUM." The Việt Tộc shouted, as they left their vehicles. Among them was Quý, who, despite his training, still clumsily handled his gun.

"Who brought our Nation to this cul-de-sac?!?"

"THE FENG."

"What do we do to them?"

"KILL THEM ALL."

"And their collaborators?"

"ARE NO LONGER VIETNAMESE."

"What about that?"

"WE WILL KILL THEM."

"What is the goal of Reaction?"

"INDEPENDENCE OF OUR FATHERLAND."

"YES, COMRADES. YES. AGAINST MILLENNIA OF OPPRESSION."

"KILL THEM ALL! KILL THEM ALL! KILL THEM ALL!"

Thus, the Việt Tộc fired the first shots of their uprising against the Feng.
was a good run lmao
