The New Mushroom Kingdom was very much against slavery and has persistently opposed it on multiple occasions. For this particular event / incident, the government would be adopting a multi-pronged approach to give the best possible chance of freeing the slaves.

"As we know, the Empire of Skellig's practice of slavery is no longer tolerable, just like any other practice of forced slavery. We have tried to coerce them in a non-violent manner; we have failed. We even had to punch their faces; we have failed."

The President showed a black suitcase to the people. "This is our way of showing the true rage of the abolitionist cause." said the President as he raised the suitcase up in the air, to much of the protest of the crowd as their uproar became louder, and signs displayed higher. "This suitcase contains our most powerful weapon to fight the abolitionist cause, and as a signatory of the Amistad Declaration, we will NOT hesitate to unleash its full wrath. The slaver's lands shall be reduced to a graveyard with not a standing tombstone."

The President continued with his short speech. "Until then, God be with us." said he as he pressed the red button that said "LAUNCH" after his aides selected two missiles and almost 13 targets - an unlucky day for the Skellig Empire.

A couple, with one playing a guitar and the other simply sitting on the sand as the other played his guitar and sang a song, burnt time off as they spent the entire afternoon - 30 minutes to be exact - singing songs, with the male, Kristoff Magsipoc, a Palmyrian native, singing and playing a guitar while the foreigner female (a Marshite female hanging out on the island), was singing along with him.

Kristoff looked at his phone, read the news, and found the rather frightening headline: "PALMYRION DECLARES TOTAL WAR, "THE SLAVER'S LANDS SHALL BE REDUCED TO A GRAVEYARD WITH NOT A STANDING TOMBSTONE"". "Well, shit, not one of the President's antics of a global war on slavery again." said he while the Marshite female just said: "At least they'll die, them slaver scum." Christian prepared his fingers, already reddening from the strumming (but he didn't mind), for another song, this time "Summer Paradise" by the band "Simple Plan".

Meanwhile a missile silo had reached a peak of activity as a missile was being prepared for launch. "T-Minus 30 Seconds To Launch".

Another missile silo, this time one on a submarine, also buzzed with activity as it opened one of its launch tubes for ICBM's. One of the 100 Hustisya-class SSBN's of the Palmyrian Navy, the BPP (Barkong Pandigmaan ng Palmyrion, eng. Warship of Palmyrion) Kaparusahang Kamatayan (Death Sentence, SSBN-77), opened one of its silo doors as it prepared to launch a nuclear missile, a "Bathala" ICBM (NATO reporting code SS-24 "Hades"), towards the sky.

The missiles were soon to be launched.

The ICBM's were launched, covering the island with a cacophonic sound as if heavnly beings tore the sky apart, the image of its fumes, one speaking of death and rage, heavily contrasting the warm sunset of the island that spoke of happiness and romance. The people looked at the missiles as they were launched - one from an anonymous point on the island, the other from a SSBN that was submerged just 5 km from the shore.

One of the ICBM's contained 10 warheads, each with a 750 kiloton yield, which would strike 12 of Skellig's largest cities, while the other, with a single 20-MT warhead, was headed for the Skellig capital.

All two missiles were FOBS-equipped missiles. The MIRV's would split in the ionosphere, going straight down to their targets, and exploding mid-air just enough above the city center to destroy as much of the city as possible, and this was also the same thing that the 20 MT warhead did.

God be with the Palmyrians. God be with the Skellig.

The alarm clock rang. The ultimatum had passed. With that, a message from Bahtari High Command was relayed to the waiting task force at Dar Al-Sheikh. The first wave of troops were just 2,100 soldiers loaded up in six Antonov An-124 Ruslans, 20 Su-7B Attack Aircraft, 15 Il-28 and 25 Mig-21bis. Supreme Leader Khalid bin Bargash watched the aircraft on the runway, when a general approached him. "Are you sure?" said the tall general behind him.

Khalid nodded. "Of course. These slaves deserve to live free lives.".

The General sighed. "Comrade Supreme Leader, I know you wish for these poor people to be saved but, we can't be sending off our soldiers to die in every corner of the world!" said the general, rather sternly. "I respect your care for our soldiers, general. But victory does not come without sacrifices." replied the Supreme Leader.

Just as the general was about to say something, Khalid interrupted. "And you must make sure, our sacrifices will not be in vain."

The general nodded, and Khalid walked back into a black Mercedes parked at the end of the runway. The general could vaguely see a soldier enter with the Supreme Leader just before the car sped off back towards the city of Dar Al-Sheikh. He heard loud footsteps from behind him, so he turned away from the city and looked at a soldier walking towards him.

"Sir, the planes are fueled, armed and ready to go." said the soldier.

Not long after, aircraft took off, though they soon joined together in a formation, soaring towards Skellig, on a mission to deploy the first wave of soldiers and to strike at key Skellig cities...

We don't want more war, War has already drained so much money from our economy. So we are willing to compromise if all nations withdraw from our shores. We have already sent other nations similar letters in a hope of peace. We are developing Chemical Weapons which whilst would be effective in war, we do not wish to damage our beautiful environment.

We are shocked and appalled at your slavery.We will officially declare a war on you.We give you an ultimatum,surrender from your position,free all the slave,be tried and arrested for war crime and crime against humanity and Skellig controlled as Kendor's puppet until a new leader that can rule the country wisely could be found or face death to your nation and yourself.We will give you a maxinum time of a day,please consider this as mercy but again if you don't surrender in a day you would suffer the consequences.

We appreciate your warning. However we are not a weak nation, we stand for what we believe in. Slavery has been in our best of interests for many years, But now it's becoming obvious it may not be in our national interest to continue this way.


We cannot free these slaves on our shores, simply can't. Their filth would build slums in even our greatest cities, Naturally as the great Overlord of this nation I cannot accept this. So we will compromise, because I truly believe Skellig can transform it's slave based economy in to a world financial hub and also import middle class workers from other nations who will work for whilst not slave wages, but low enough wages. As seen in China.

Letting these Slaves roam freely in Skellig would be an absolute disaster as well look at their home continent, The Skellig Empire wishes not tolerate such filth in it's great cities. But should you wish to make sure that our assailants leave our shores, we can pledge to have no slaves within the next 2 years through a repatriation process.

Our troops are landing on your beaches as we speak. Their mission is to attack what towns they come across and free slaves. NO SKELLIG CIVILIANS WILL BE TARGETED. However, you can call off our attack by agreeing to negotiate with President Connor Mendel at 0230 PM Cruxan Central Time. If we receive a negative reply or no reply at all, our marines will attack and wage war on you.

By now, the small group / detachment of ships had arrived to enforce the previously stated government had yet to have any takers as to it's offer for information and the Minister for Intelligence was disappointed but remained unsurprised. A naval fleet has been deployed to engage to quickly neutralize an destroy enemy ships before returning to harbor for repairs. Although they have been told if the enemy decides to surrender due to the overwhelming force they will accept POWS.

5 Allende Class Frigates

The NMK vessels saw Skellig-identified ships rapidly approaching their position. They were surprised, as they had explicitly excluded Skellig from their actions. The ship's commander thought what to say before broadcasting a short message over the radio: "Why do you wish to attack and presumably neutralize/destroy us? We have explicitly tried to avoid infringing on your sovereignty and freedom to do as you please. We seek only to prevent other slaver states from perpetuating the horrendous act. Perhaps you want to get into communication with my superiors?"

Meanwhile, back in Toad Town the Minister of Defence was consulting with his advisors - they wondered if they would indeed neutralize the group and if it would be acceptable for the ship to surrender if need be without losing large amounts of credibility / face. They had yet to make a decision but surely would reach a consensus shortly.

The Cruxan troops marched deeper into Skellig, capturing villages where they could. Their commanding officers stopped them from releasing the slaves until the order was received.
