I'd say that while it is quite massive, it might not be in the best shape. As he did loose the last war and lost control over most of his old territory, he will be lacking in resources. He'll probably have a lot of troops, but they might not be in the best shape. Either way, he's had quite a while to prepare so he'll be pretty well fortified. I imagined a smaller surface factory, with a larger subterranean network of tunnels and smaller factories and such.

Why would DAX tell you where he is?
Unless he needs something from you, there is no good reason for it to reveal itself.
It should be a trap, maybe DAX has mastered cyber conversion technology, and plans on using your and NEF's soldiers as test subjects?

Vektra? Yes. The lore comes fron the unification of the helghast people and the vektan. The name of the planet, whas changed after that, for Vektra. That's why "Vektran" culture doesn't exist per se, as it was born by the union of several cultures

But did you brought your men when your allies are retreating?
If you plan to assault the shield towers, you will need to pass a whole enemy army. I bet Doom would be happy about it

Like, the shield towers Landfish was assaulting were near the Eastern Front. The entire Eastern Front is overrun by the minions of the Overmind and most of the area is infested. If they're landing there they will be under attack 24/7, setting up in the middle of an infested zone's suicide, not only does the Creep(the purplish stuff that spreads across the ground in infested zones) heavily disrupt any construction attempts, there are creatures and Hives present in great numbers.

This action will reduce the amount of reinforcements sent westward to deal with the Landfihs though, but only for a small section of the frontline, pressure from the rest of the line should make that irrelevant.

Most likely, else they'd be cut off and invetiably overrun, for there are still Vektran troops defending the tower and the Overmind's minions are swarming all over. If they didn't retread they'd be surrounded and overwhelmed.

Of course, I read every post here and check several times per hour unless I'm sleeping or eating.

I don't watch Dr. Who, don't even get the appeal, then again, my tastes are different than most.

Looked them up, couldn't find anything on the Crusader, did find the other two.

Doom: yeah the Nilokeras and Hellas are exactly the same (except that my Nilokeras flies in space). And the crusader is just one I made up... it's just a gundam that looks like a crusader knight. I got the idea from an image image saw and decided to implement my ideas into it.

I assume this arrival of DAX (well, re-arrival, reincarnation, reappearance, you get the gist.) is going to cause every soldier from the first war to experience nostalgia-inspired PTSD change a few things, wouldn't it?
