Jonas Sitkoski has been elected as the 16th president of the Poland-Lietuva Empire. President Sitkoski was a popular candidate with the democratic party. Our democracy is still very young and slowly growing. Sitkoski made many promises during his campaign to increase the economy of our nation and bring more liberty to the people of Poland-Lietuva. His running mate Linas Broź, shares the same views and promises to work 24/7 with the president to establish Poland-Lietuva on the map. President Sitkoski has already picked many of his cabinet members and promises to create more positions to help the nation’s government grow. The people still fear that the president has just as much power as the old kings, which is why Sitkoski has a plan to split the nation into states to balance the powers of the president. President Sitkoski looks very promising for the future of Poland-Lietuva and the people agree.

In other news, newly appointed National General Lech Róg has a budget plan that will ensure Poland-Lietuva to have the fastest growing military on the globe. The plan will be given to President Sitkoski on a later date. Ambassador Anatol Sadowski has made a statement saying, “The Poland-Lietuva nation is a small country on the edge of the south. I will work as hard as I can to connect with other countries to keep President Sitkoski’s promise of establishing our nation on the globe”. Trade representative Konrad Kozlow is rumored to be working with Sadowski on this project.

PREMIER OPEN TO DIPLOMATIC SOLUTION TO TADBU/RAZONICAN CRISIS

With the escalation of global tension following the start of the Razonican Crisis, Premier Maxim Kuznetsov has announced that he is open to a diplomatic solution for Tadbu with Empress Faenia, or Regent Laerolk. Part of the offer includes Neroian recognition of the Government who the deal works out with first, and a promise of eased tensions following the outcome. The premier restated that Nerodanus will not be the first to attack another sovereign state, and will have the aid of the Crimson Union should any war break out.

Following the announcement the Premier did not answer any questions, instead returning to his office. One of the Generals took to answering questions before being dragged off stage by security, one of his statements included "The nation who initiates the next global war, will be forever be remembered in history for what they did." Another statement issues shortly after says to disregard the words the General said, and that he is being punished for his actions at the moment.

After being debated heavily for four days, Sultan Ayar has announced that Vacroaye will aid The Razonica Empire and only the Razonican Empire. Sultan Ayar requests the permission of Empress Faenia or Queen Turína to mobilize Vacroayean troops into Razonica.

Empress Faenia freed Vacroaye and attempted to fix the problems it faced after the Avarice War. Some of these efforts were not appreciated but I admire Empress Faenia's efforts to help our nation. I ask the people of Vacroaye to swallow their hatred and understand that Razonica is our ally. The devastation in Vacroaye was brought on us, not by Razonica.

Yesterday Imperial President George announced that New Scotland will be officially supporting Reagent Larerolk's government. In his speech he defended this choice by saying: "Laerolk may have usurped the government of Razonica but as it stands supporting him is the quickest way to restore stability to Razonica and it's peoples." His decision was highly criticized by the senate but was not overruled. His Honorableness has offered to provide the New Razonican Government with money, troops, and peacekeeping divisions.

"I believe New Scotland is making a huge mistake, I do. To support the Regent is to strip Razonica of it's temperament and to replace it with dangerous, unstable, and frankly, foolish motives and actions. Relief and joy sweeps the nation today as both the Baiernischer and Imperial quarantine forces announce that all un-contained organisms of GR-83 have been elminated, with the initial deployment site a the Walden docks. Kaiser Friedrich made a statement last night at the capital of Baiern in München.

It is with great joy and happiness that I announce tonight the end of the GR-83 Viral Outbreak in Germeria. The Grand Duke of Mecklenburg has just sent me a message from Walden that the last occupied and afflicted areas of the city have been recovered and cleansed of GR-83, and only the unfortunate few still in quarantine remain to be treated and hopefully cured of this deadly virus. I wish to commend the men and women who have risked their lives to combat the spread of this virus, as well as to the many officers that maintained order and kept the peace during the outbreak. Special thanks goes to the Duke of Wittensbach and the Mayor of Augsburg for their timely first response when the outbreak started in April. It is also a great tragedy that the citizens of Futrellia suffer from this disease as we begin our recovery, and I offer President Underwood the services of the entire Germerian Disease Administration, as well any data that they have discovered in their attempts at finding a cure and vaccine.

I also hope that President Underwood is willing to assist us in our attempts at locating and bring the terrorist group L'épée D'or to justice for their crimes and to give justice to the families who've lost loved ones to this outbreak.

The son of Duke Maximilian, Hans, is assuming his father's title in accordance with his public statement of his father's missing status, saying "we can only assume that my father has died from the hands of this vile group and must move onwards, regardless of my family's sadness."

After the Kaiser's announcement, he made another statement on the developing crisis in Razonica.

General Laerolk has shown himself to be a traitorous man and represents a clear danger to stability in the region. However, unless the Empress approaches us or the general actively assaults one of our citizens, I resolve to act in the spirit of neutrality and offer both sides humanitarian aid and unbiased trade. Cassada, Theoni -- Today, Prime Minister Thomas Cassinio announced plans in the coming week to travel to the EAC headquarters located in New Calica, Futrellia. The Prime Minister has highlighted his goal of establishing the Imperial Dominion's diplomatic ties with what the he calls "a union in trouble". The Prime Minister also stated that he expressed interest in travelling to countries the Dominion has had very few interactions aside from minimal trade, such as Adfrana and Futrellia. The addition of these destinations came as quite a shock to both members of the Imperial Cabinet and his family, as Cassinio has always maintained an isolationist mentality when serving, and many have voiced their opinions against the Prime Minister. However, Empress Consort Hylia Minea went onto defend his choices stating that his outreach to the international community would "better the region" and serve to establish channels for cooperation and diplomacy. However, what's more shocking than Cassinio's choice in alliance, is his choice in time in which he has decided to travel. With the Razonican Crisis in full swing and international unrest appearing to increase as more and more nations enter into the newest situation.

Though the Imperial Dominion has acted neutral during the Crisis, many still are uneasy about the Prime Minister not being present in the case of war breaking out on the Aldesian continent. To add unto the pressure of Cassinio leaving Kaladia, Emperor Titus Minea VIII has been extremely ill and hasn't been seen outside the Aula Caesarea for several months now, which could mean the possibility that we are also living in the last days of Emperor Minea VIII's reign. Several members of the Imperial Parliament have taken to pointing out the flaws of the Elvaryan Allied Coalition, in particular its inactivity throughout Elvarya and the departure of Razonica, a founding member-nation. The Right Honorable Papia Pacatiana, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Waldyar Sentonnos, one of the three senators from the Theoni Province aired the grievances in a special session of Parliament several days ago.

Proponents of the Representative Assembly have defended Cassinio's announcement, deeming that "Isolation cannot continue to rule our country and keep us dark in the international community." and that "staying in an isolationist position will only hurt us." pointing out that the nation entered a severe economical depression during and a year after the Avarice War in 2012.

He is not without his supporters however, Empress Consort Hylia Minea, ruling in Emperor Minea VIII's stead, supported the announcement, praising it as a "noble endeavor" and one that was "deeply needed."

Earlier this evening while giving a speech on the government's position in the Razonican crisis Imperial President George was shot by one of his own aides. He was defended by the Presidential Detail of the Democratic Guard and was airlifted to St. John's hospital for emergency treatment. His condition as of now is unknown. The attacker was apprehended. It is believed that the aide attacked the Imperial President due to his [the Imperial President's] stance on the Razonican crisis. It is also believed that the aid was immigrated to New Scotland from Razonica and is a Imperial loyalist. Both of these reports are unconfirmed. It has been confirmed that Vice Imperial President Horatio McCarren has been sworn in as the acting Imperial President. However he could not be reached for comment. Senate Chancellor Angela Fremen announced that the senate had unanimously voted to suspend all stock trading and put the nation's military into high alert.

Today at approximately 4:20 am NSST a magnitude 5.2 earthquake was detected in the North Island. The NSGS has determined that the quake occurred 1.5 miles below the surface. There has been no recored casualties and damages are minimal. The NSGS plans to further study the area in order to determine the source of the quake. In the meantime it is advised that citizens in the area do not try to leave unless advised by their local government officials. It is believed that there may be possible aftershocks and a mass exodus will only serve to stretch emergency responders further.

Nuclear Power sees increase in funding; Volunteers head to Razonican Republic

Friedrich Dorstfuller, Secretary of thee Interior, announced yesterday morning that the administration of Kaiser Friedrich would begin funding and contracting the construction of a series of new nuclear power plants across the country in an attempt to curb the nation's dependency on foreign resources for energy as well as to increase the amount of cheap energy available to citizens. Funding for the project is reported to be coming from the national energy budget and from the private coffers and accounts of private individuals, including Michael Brommstuck, CEO of Zukunft Energie, and even Kaiser Friedrich has announced his donation of family funds to the project. Plans have been in the works for the past year, says Dorstfuller, and the administration only recently decided to inform the public. Construction will commence on October 14 and the last reactor will be expected to finish construction in 2019, with full grid integration being estimated to take place in 2022.

In other major news, a private militia group calling themselves the Doppel-Adler Corps have announced their intention to head to the newly founded Razonican Republic in what was formerly the eastern territory of Razonica and fight for the newly formed republic. Lead by former GAC commander Heinz Guderian, their stated mission is to 'preserve and protect the floundering democratic and republican movements in the world, starting with the civil war in Razonica.' A Brigadier General in the GAC, Guderian retired only three years ago and served with distinction in multiple counter-terrorist and international operations, and was awarded with the Germerian Imperial Oder of the Iron Crown, one of the highest awards available. The stated strength of the Corps is suspected to be a little under 4,000 volunteers and no information of where they have or will acquire equipment has been stated as of yet.

Today at 2:20 pm NSST a magnitude 7.4 earthquake was registered 200 miles south of the South Island. The NSGS has not yet been able to determine the depth of the quake although they suspect it is too shallow to cause an aftershock or earthquake-wave. Due to the location there are no recorded casualties. In other news Acting Imperial President Horatio has announced that New Scotland and Germeria have agreed to a science and technology sharing treaty. Both sides will exchange aerospace, maritime, computational, and energy technology. Tomorrow a ship will leave Edinburgh and travel to Aelstun. The cargo is a series of blueprints, research papers, and some technologies. The ship, the Lizard, is expected to arrive at Aeltsun in a week. The ship will be receiving a military escort due to the nature of the cargo, and the route it is taking, which will lead it close to Razonica.

Czargrad, Renova: Today citizens of the Revolutionary People's State received shocking news from the National Liberation Front, who announced that the Renovan People's Liberation Armed Forces were shifting supplies and equipment to Zen Island. According to the reports this move by the National Liberation Front was in response to the ongoing civil war, within the Razonican Empire following a attempted coup against the Lussengardes by General Laerolk. The Renovan People's Liberation Navy has also release a detail report about the passing of the Armstrong Battle Group, a Futrellian naval force who recently arrived in Razonica to assist the Imperials retaking lost territory. Liberation Commander Tsumemasa Muso stated in a surprise press release that he would personally oversee the transfer, of all supplies and equipment to Sky City Naval Base in case of a possible war with the Elvaryan Allied Coalition. Several high ranking members of the National Liberation Front have already stated that they want no war, with the EAC but some how that may not be avoidable once Renova chooses a side in the conflict.

Revolutionary President Natsumi Sakamoto also stated in a independent report, that the Hua Carrier Fleet will be deployed to Sky City Naval Base in preparation for a possible war. Citizens are beginning to wonder if this could mean war with Razonican Empire and it's allies, but the government continues to ensure them that this move is only a precaution. Let's take a look at the word "precaution" there are numerous ways this word can be misinterpreted by the international community, however the government's word did very little to smooth over the local population's nervousness. There has been numerous reports that the Revolutionary People's State's Crimson Union allies, are divided in support of different rebel factions in the ongoing Razonican Civil War. It remains to be seen if this war does not grow, into something more deadly but could possibly become a threat to our beloved country.

Lussengardes Declare Sovereignty Over All Of Razonica

Today, Haemia, capital of the Razonican Empire, is free. Razma forces lead by none other than Queen Turina herself stormed the Imperial Palace and slew those controlling it. General Laerolk has been found dead, stabbed in the kidney and with a slit throat. Queen Turina has assumed governance of Haemia and has ordered the now 50,000 strong army around it to defend the capital and other vital points around it.

Rebels from the Grand Union of Razonica are now calling themselves the Holy Kingdom of Asulan. The Grand Mentor of the Journey Unionist faith has baptized this new "nation" as the true Razonica and true heirs to the Everparents. Their armed forces are estimated to be around 434,301 strong with a with about 60,000 new conscripts included. They have about a third of the empire's entire tank divisions but only about 18 warships. Imperial forces are currently pushing towards the south, to crush the so-called "kingdom".

House Halbeck has chosen to lead a rebellion in the east of Razonica and have an estimated army of 205, 566. While they have taken 30 ships from the Razonican Navy, only 8 were warships. The noble family seems to be attempting to buy warships from other nations to defend their coastline, which now faces threat of Imperial invasion.

Fighting in Tadbu has died down to the point where it is almost non-existent. Black Lion terrorists are being executed across the colony and full annexation into the Empire will soon follow.

The Siolin Isles now face an imperial blockade but do have 23 warships to defend themselves with. Apparently, ten of them were created in secret and are completely Isle made. Their army, however, is pathetic with only 12,356 soldiers to defend their main island. Militia groups numbering in the hundreds have popped up around the Isles but are deemed not trained. Air strikes have begun to pound the Isles from the Razma mainland and from Razonica itself. One such strike destroyed the "Council of Comrades" effectively destroying the new government. Apparently, Maekus Britho is still at large and will be hunted down and exterminated.

Finally, Empress Faenia Lussengarde revealed her location is in Lusendale and has declared herself empress over all of Razonica once more. The imperial forces seems to be sweeping down from Lussengarde to the south, past Haemia, and deeper into the "Holy Kingdom of Asulan". The empress has ordered all rebels to executed onsite if they do not surrender immediately.

Total loses on all sides have surpassed 43,000 with half being civilians murdered by Asulanite forces.

PREMIER ANNOUNCES SUPPORT FOR REPUBLIC IN RAZONICAN CIVIL WAR

In a statement this morning Premier Maxim Kuznetsov announced that the Government had come to the conclusion that it is the best interest for the people of Razonica and the world if a democratic naiton comes to rise in the region. The Premier went on to to reaffirm Neroian support for its allies in Crimson Union no matter what side they choose to support. He also reaffirmed Neroian wishes for a diplomatic solution to the crisis before anything worse begins.

Several fleet ships left Neroanus for Renova earlier in the week, joining an international Taskforce between the two nations. With permission from Renovan officals Nerodanus has invited all its allies in the CU to send some troops to the Task force to bolster its ranks and ensure the effectiveness of the Taskforce.

The Imperial Military mobilizes for war
Minister of Defense Zahn Announces large-scale mobilization of Military

Cassada, Theoni -- As of 2:46pm today, Minister of Defense Zahn has announced, with coordination of the Prime Minister and various Generals within the Armed Forces, that the Imperial Dominion's Armed Forces has begun a large-scale mobilization of all assets in preparation for "retaliatory actions against Nerodanus". This action comes only hours after an official declaration of support for the Razonican Republic by the Neroian government and the subsequent massive invasion of Razonica carried out by Neroian military forces. The Prime Minister has released a statement on the mobilization for war by the military.

"We have been watching very closely on what has been going on in Razonica, and we applaud the actions of our newfound allies in the Federal Republic and the Empire. We have been preparing for a scenario of this magnitude for many weeks now, and I believe it is time for the Imperial Dominion to rise up and honor the words of alliance to the Elvaryan Allied Coalition. Both the Emperor and Empress Consort wholeheartedly condemn the brash and ill-tempered actions of Nerodanus and we will seek to halt this invasion before it continues to worsen. We will work closely with the Federal Republic and the Razonican Empire in repelling this invasion of sovereign Imperial soil. The time of isolation is over, and we will prove to our allies that we make good on our word. God bless the Emperor, and God bless the Imperial Dominion."

The mobilization is the largest Kaladia has ever seen, encompassing three full field armies, two Aerial Divisions, the entire Second Fleet, and two mechanized Divisions of the Imperial Royal Rangers. The Ministry of Defense has not commented on where these troops will be deployed, but we do know that this mobilization is taking place across the entire country, utilizing eight bases, six airfields, and five naval ports.

As of 8:38 PM tonight, Jord has declared war on the country of Kaladia and their Allies. Troops have mobilized and made way for the border to begin the preparations for the first Kaladian Campaign

The First wave going in is a full corps of Shock Troopers, with a full 4-5 full armies being on standby ready to follow behind ready to lend some extra firepower. Little is known about our airforce and Navy forces going in, but updates are said to be coming within the week as the campaign carries on.

Meanwhile the imperial Guard standby around Jord's walls ready to defend itself from any potential invaders.

Her Majesty has yet to comment on the situation as of late but was expecting a press conference in the coming week.

Following the beginning of the Kaladia Campaign, the Jord Navy has begun mobilization. As of this morning, 3 of Jord's 4 aircraft Carries, followed by 150 destroyers/frigates, and lots of other navy vessels, have set sail for enemy waters in hopes to combat enemy ships and take over neighboring enemy ports to begin delivering Marines to the Front, and gain more territory for the campaign by sea.

While away, our remaining aircraft carrier sits on standby defending Jord's borders, as well as our remaining Frigates and a few submarines, sit and wait to defend our shores from oncoming attacks.

The Jord Air Corps has not given us details yet as of their current attack plans on the eastern front, however, they have already sent a good 180 various planes/ fighter jets to the carriers out at sea, ready to fight over the big blue sea if necessary.

20 minutes ago Acting Imperial President Horatio has announced that two days prior New Scotland issued a formal declaration of war on Razonica and Kaladia. In his speech announcing the declaration Horatio proclaimed that the war was due to "Our nation's commitments to our allies in the Crimson Union. As part of the declaration came five minutes before an amphibious invasion of 30,000 marines. In the two days after this invasion the marines have pushed 8 miles into Tadbu. Tonight Horatio announced that the marines were reinforced by 70,000 Army units including a wide array of armored vehicles an heavy equipment. On the seas the North Fleet is prepared to defend our nation from Razonican attack and the South Fleet controls the waves from Tadbu to Our South Island. To finish off his speech Horatio offered to send a carrier group to Jord as well as a division of Marines to assist them in their operations in Kaladia. He also confirmed that New Scotland would be a strictly no first strike nation when it comes to our nation's stockpiles of Chemical, Biological, and Nuclear weapons.

As of 10 PM tonight, the Jord Military has officially activated more of their reserves to help out the war campaign. The Army has seen a good 200K increase of troops, along with similar numbers on the Navy, and the Guard to help with the defense with the possibility of an invasion on the rise.

Along with more soldiers being reactivated, the Military has initiated a state of Military Police to patrol more frequently in the streets and around borders, as well as set up various amounts of air defenses around the capital and other various cities.

Drills will be happening frequently through the country, in hopes of helping citizens and teaching them what to do in times of an invasion.

Chancellor Marler announced tonight, that the Arkhon Federation will be donating several units of Caretaker troops to the EAC. The Chancellor confirmed that this action did not mean war, but reaffirmed our devotion to assisting our allies in the EAC. The Caretaker Ministry is the Federation's advanced military branch which is sent on covert missions around the world. The Units will assist the EAC in planned strategic missions, operating on a small covert scale. In addition to the troop donations, the Federation plans on diverting extra funding to the Arkhonian International Bank. Tomorrow, the Bank will begin offering large loans to governments in the EAC for extremely low-interest rates.

Scientists Begin Defrosting Futrellia's very frozen Vortum Base

CAPE HOPE - Sometime in the next few days, a DHC-6 Twin Otter ski plane will circle the Futrellian Cerberus IV Vortumite base, look for the landing strip, and touch down on a floating ice shelf.

Two plumbers, an electrician, and an engineer will grab their gear, check their satphone, and wave goodbye to the pilot. For the next few weeks, the team will try to jumpstart a base that has been closed for the past two years. Normally, the streamlined research structure would face the brutal Vortum winter with 14 hardy souls to keep valuable scientific equipment warm and running. But Futrellian science officials shut down the remote outpost August of 2017 because of a 300-foot wide crack in the Brunt Ice Sheet creeping toward Cerberus about nine miles away as well as the tense situation engulfing the globe during the Razonican Crisis.

Now, for the first time in modern Vortumite history, a team will attempt to restart equipment and generators that have been sitting in temperatures down to -67° Fahrenheit. They hope it will turn back on. But it might not.

“We know it’s standing, we know it’s not buried in snow,” said David Prescott, science director for the Futrellian Vortumite Survey, which operates the base. “We might find some snow inside, and there is always the possibility that windows have been broken.”

Prescott and others at the Tyderius-based research unit have been scanning FASA satellite imagery to keep an eye on Cerberus IV, which was built on a hydraulic leg and ski system to raise up above the annual snowfall. Without jacking it up every year, snow would bury the station. Over time, it would become part of the moving ice sheet, carried to the edge of the ice shelf and dumped into the ocean.

It's happened before: The Federal Republic has operated a research station on the 500-foot-thick Brunt Ice Shelf since the late 1980s, and Cerberus bases I to III were either demolished or slowly drifted out to sea on icebergs. But Prescott says he’s not ready to abandon Cerberus IV.

“It’s something we will be looking at year by year,” Prescott says. Cerberus IV is actually threatened by two cracks: Chasm 1 and the "Halloween crack." Futrellian glaciologists say the northern movement of the chasm, which had been dormant for 35 years, has accelerated in the last seven months. Meanwhile, the Halloween crack continues to move east toward the base. “The cracks are forming, until they go all the way and produce the icebergs and drift away," says Vaughan. Tractors can pull the base to a new location, but the Futrellian Vortumite Survey already pulled that move in February—and they're hoping not to resort to it again too soon.


Glaciologists are also worried about the rapid movement of White Island and Cole’s Glaciers in West Vortum and July's calving of a massive iceberg from the Darren C ice shelf on one of the many of Vortum's peninsulas. But the Brunt ice shelf is just doing its normal cracking as it reaches the ocean—at least for now, according to Prescott.
Once the team arrives, they'll hustle to turn on the generators, which run on aviation turbine fuel that can be stored down to to -53°F. These machines are the lifeblood for the station, providing heat and electric power. First, the crew will turn on the small generators—they're more reliable in extreme cold—and work their way up to the larger ones.

Then they'll start a-fixing. Camping out in a shipping container adjacent to the larger base, the four Futrellian MacGyvers will check on every component in the base for damage from the frigid temperatures. The last people to leave in late August 2017 prepared the station as best they could. “We drained the water system and all the sewage,” says Prescott. “We took out all of the scientific equipment and brought it back to the Federal Republic.” Anything with a disc drive was removed; while computers like cool ambient temperatures to dissipate the heat they generate, most electronic parts aren’t designed to survive -67°F weather.

But they still had to leave a lot behind. Wiring, fuel lines and everything else inside the base is usually kept warm. Different materials—plastics, rubber, metal alloys—all have unique thermal characteristics that make them expand and contract at different temperatures.

With some luck, the four men will get the station into shape for the second wave of base workers, who arrive in December. Cerberus houses up to 80 scientists and support staff during the Vortumite summer, which lasts from November to March, then about 10 to 14 during the winter. They will have only a few months to get the science projects back online—studying space weather, meteorology, and atmospheric sciences. Data collected from Cerberus led to the Futrellian discovery in 1996 of a hole in Elvarya's ozone layer above Vortum, and recent measurements indicated that the ozone hole may be recovering and about to close.

But with the 2017 closure, and another base closure planned for the 2019 winter season, that continuous 60 year-old dataset will be interrupted. To avoid future snags, DAR engineers and researchers are trying to automate more of the station's data collection devices. Wind turbines may be an answer, but they are often blown over by powerful Vortum gusts.

In December, the relief crew will be testing a new prototype micro-turbine generator that could provide enough power to keep some instruments running all winter. “It’s like a small jet engine in a box,” Prescott says. It's a long shot; they'll have to figure out a way to get rid of the water vapor covers the exhaust with ice, and nobody has ever run such a device remotely for eight months. But don’t bet against the Futrellians in Vortum
