This war is going to be made by numbers. There will be lots of stuff to calculate such as weather, terrain, the kind of battle, luck and troops used. Some will be decided by dice. Most of it was made by me alone and what I did together with Nordland is probably going to be overruled by me now. However, I am very open to feedback and suggestions for this system that could enhance it even further without making it much more difficult. The basic idea is that you have units with a certain strength in numbers and maybe even certain special rules. You can now stack those units up to get a bigger amount of numbers. And then there will be boni and mali which will increase or decrease you the strength of your units or just let the casualties rise up.

Those units will have a base size of 10.000 soldiers. If your Divisions are greater or smaller, then the strength of them will go up and down by the amount they have more. If someone for instance has a Division with 30.000 people and not 10.000 then this division will have triple the strength we said a Division would have. This goes for The Land Forces. I don`t restrict you on how many tanks you have in your Armoured Land Forces, just going to remind you that it won`t change anything. Tanks lacking Infantry support get picked off easy you know. Also, you can stack 3 ground units at maximum in one battle, else you`ll get logistical problems. Naval Units however can be stacked in unlimited amounts except in ports. Ports also have a capacity you know? Same goes for Air units. They can be sent in whatever amount you want at a position in their range but their airfields also have certain capacities. Naval Units have one ship as base size while Air Units consist of a Squadron of 9 Airplanes/Helicopters.

Now, if you ask about Recon, I`ll only say that we didn`t include it to make this not over complicate. I trust you people to be able to RP Recon stuff without rules. And if I don`t see proper noticement of Recon Activities but knowledge of what the other player did, it is considered Metagaming.

Now that`s that about the units. I`ll list them and their strengths later. Now we need to tell you how to use the boni mali modificators.
-There`s luck. Basically a six sided dice will be thrown for each side by an OP or Co-OP. Anyone familiar with Warhammer Tabletop? Cause I`m going to turn this dice from a D6 into a D3. Yes, highest number you`ll get is 3 (Basically 1,2=1; 3,4=2; 5,6=3.). This number will then be added to your stack.
-Then there`s Weather. The opponents will agree on 3 weathers and again a D3 will be rolled to determine the weather during the battle. Please do not choose f###ed up weathers like Sandstorms in a forest or stuff like that. Some nations also have their weather put in place atleast a little by lore so you will have to agree on what fits into the lore and still isn`t overly biased.
-There`s the terrain. Not much to say about it. We`d like the nations on which the battles are fought to give us something like a schematic though so that we can see where there is what kind of terrain.
-And last but not least there`s the kind of battle. I think the players should agrre on that and will leave you freedom with that.

Also, on demand of my Partner OP, nations must choose a certain speciality for their militaries. It will also be put into the application once I have time. I will overwatch whatever comes out. Nothing OP. Just a bonus in one thing for someting and for that a malus somewhere else.

Now, I still have work to do for today so said boni/mali stuff as well as the units will come later. And as I said, I also want to disencourage people from starting a war immediately.

So to all of you. I recently thought of adding a certain feature to the Military Gameplay. And that is the feature of Special Forces. I have noticed that some of you have put Special Forces into your Military Listing. I`d like you to remove that again and keep their number somewhere in the back of your head. I only want their branch name as well as a notification that their are your Special Forces. You can add the numbers you had made for them to other Military Branches if you want.

So what`s this all about Special Forces? What will they do? Basically, I want people to be able to do secret missions in enemy territory. Now, these people don`t count as fighting unit and will go down even against a Militia Unit due to their low size. You can target HQs, Logistical Keypoints, Factories, Depots etc whatever you thing is worth getting assaulted by Special Forces. Now how to use it? I thought of a dice system again. The one who wants to carry out the operation asks in the OOC for it and an OP or Co-OP shall do the roll for him. Note that these operations may also be carried out in times of peace.

1: Your people were killed or captured upon entering enemy territory. They didn`t even cause much of a stirr and it was even revealed that they were sent by you. You wil have a bad reputation in this in the International Society if you did this in peace.
2: Your people were killed upon entering enemy territory. They didn`t cause much of a stirr.
3: Your people managed to infiltrate the enemy territory but where killed when trying to complete their objective.
4: Your people managed to complete the objective but were unable to make it back out again. They were captured and it was revealed that you sent them. You will have a bad reputation for this in the International Society if you did this in peace.
5: Your people managed to complete their objective but only half of them made it out alife.
6: Great Success! Your people completed their objective and also made it out all alife and mostly unscathed.

Volksführer Konrad Ferdinand Uwe studied the large map of NE that covered a wall inside the meeting hall, he was discussing the long term strategy of Volksgard in its mission to gain enough resources to be self sufficient. Volksgard was chronically short on Agriculture and Petroleum, relying heavily on imports to fuel its fastly expanding economy, however without an increased supply of petrol and food stuffs Volksgard would face another economic crash.

He therefore decided to send an envoy to his neighbour Wiking Nordland, in the hope that they would be willing to start imports of Petrol and Agriculture, as the two shared some similarities, he hoped that negotiations would be swift.

He sent a Telegram to Wiking Nordland and proposed the idea of creating a regular supply of the needed resources.

Breaking News

Today at 2:30 PM, Ricardo Alemán wrote off on the lift on trade the trade embargo with The Peoples Republic of China after 68 years of cold relations. The move comes after a a 2015 4th quarter report showed a huge slump in the Technology and Arms Manufacturing sectors due to critical shortages of precious metals and ores halted the production of millions of electronics in late 2015.

The metal crisis is not new, in the 70's and 80's, severe shortages of steel and iron created a crash in the housing and manufacturing industries creating a mild recession that would last two decades. The reasons being Of Leben's unsuasual lack of any type of metal ores, (exception being plutonium) which has always rendered it dependent on imports for its basic and not so basic metal needs.

As one of the worlds largest exporters of precious metals ores, Of Lebenian government officials are hoping to encourage the private industry to invest in these new potential markets. Some corporations have already begun negotiations with Chinese officials in the hopes of obtaining a deal for the trades. One of the more vocal advocates of this decision- Andres Otoño expresses his enthusiasm and optimism in light of the new events. In a personal interview, Mr. Otoño stated:

"This is great news for Of Leben, and it's been coming for a long time now. These new possibilities will open new oppurtunities for Of Leben and create a wonderful partnership."

When questioned about his thoughts on negotiating with communists, Otoño responded:

"Capatalism is a great thing, and nobody knows this better than the Chinese Communist Party"

Despite the optimism by many in the industry, many in Konz-Leben disagree. In an adress to his constituents, The PFR (Of Lebens native fascist party, with a solid amount of seats in the Congressional Assembly) congressional señor chairman Johanne Nikolaus gave a strong worded opinion on the matter:

"The whole of Nazi Europa fought against the evil of Communism in what would be one of the most tragic wars in history- our grandfathers fought for our freedom against a the Bolshlevists in Europe and on the shores of Itchmagen, and an incalculable amount of brave Lebenians came home in caskets..... Little did they know that the traitorous officials in power betray them and all of us."

Retired PCN public spokesperson Alberto Montenegro called the act "a betrayal" and a "blatant rejection of the ideals of God and the people of Of Leben."

While the PRN, PCI, and NSP coalition has been able to stop attempts by the PCN and PRF to propose a re-application of the embargo, the recently formed coalition has by the three parties has been unstable as of yet, and the future of this action is still unclear.

In other news, terrorist attacks in southern Itchmagen by partisan rebels have killed 4 and injured 17. The target was an Of Lebenian convoy of supplies moving through the outskirts of Wilhelm where suicide bombers attempted to crash and destroy a supply vehicle carrying munitions and rations for garrisoned Of Lebenian troops. Since the 2002 defeat of Itchmagen in the Triparte wars, Of Lebenian soldiers have been occupying major swaths of the countries territory. In light of new efforts by ethnic Of Lebenians to secede from Itchmagen and be admitted by Of Leben, occupation troop levels are expected to rise to 72,000 by May. With no end to the conflict in sight, the region is expected to be unstable in the foreseeable future.

Politics :

Our Fuhrer, Yngvar Ragnvaldr, has personally sent a telegram to Volksgard leader in order to answer and a private meeting with him, to discuss about the economic possibilies between the two nations. Our quality seafood products and NördsWagen automobiles will, we gladly hope, interest our dear neighbour.
A telegram has been sent too to Remnants of Exilvania leader for the same purposes.
Wiking Nordland is ever in search of new trading possibilities, to find providers of raw materials such as Steel, Oil, Coal, etc ... in order to supply the numerous manufactures within our country. More agriculture products are also needed.

Economics :

Today, we went to see a powerful industry within our beautiful country, fishing.

Along the Wiking Nordland coasts fishing played a significantly larger role during the Vikings Age than agriculture. The cold weather and the heavy forrests turned our ancesters to fish a lot to feed themselves.
This tradition stayed within the centuries, part of the Wikinger's culinary traditions.
Yet, Crops, vegetables and animal are still raised by Wikinger farmers, but the agriculture isn't widely developped as a competitive industry comparate to Fishing.

Because of the high consumption of seafood inside our nation, we didn't got so much affected by the economical depression.
However, the Government actively support this industry during these rough economical times. The objectives is to developp this industry in order to begin more exports.
Indeed, a strong sign has been sent to fishers, as they received strong subsidization recently.
You are a young and ambitious entrepreneur ? You are seeking a job ? Go to a coastal town and open your own fishing company !

Health :

The government keep on the same way, in order to increase the general health of our citizens. The kids are very strongly encouraged to practise numerous sports, while the number of imported fruits increased, as well as the budget allocated to Healthcare.

- The end of the 12-month draft military service finishs soon, in May ! The conscripts have now to choice to stay in army and choose a branch, or go back in their homes.
The government strongly recommend to join the army, to show your pride and serve your country accordingly.
After the nonsense of our previous Fuhrer to forbid women in military, our Fuhrer officially announced the return of our brave shieldmaidens in Army. If you're a woman and want to serve, you will be happily welcomed.

Miscellanous :

The police recently disabled a black market industry producing and selling different kind of drugs which has been recently discovered within our capital, Nordskalr.
The government began a hunt against black market and corruption since the Appointment of Yngvar Ragnvaldr as our Führer.

Weather report :

Freidrich Hansel, the Volksgardian Foreign relations & Trade minister was pleased to hear of Of Leben's and Wiking Nordland's interest in meeting. He arranged a meeting to take place within the week and sent telegrams to each party to confirm the meeting.

Military:

The Volksführer himself has today ordered a massive overhaul of the Volksgardian Armed Forces and wishes to see the creation of several new Freikorps Divisions, Freikorps are military units within The Volksgardian Military that are manned by non-Volksgardian's.

He urged Freidrich Hansel to request that he put this matter across to Of Leben and Wiking Nordland and hoped that the two nations would agree to them forming said Freikorps of Volunteers from their nations.

Economy:

The economy was in a sorry state, slowly declining towards a crash, officials had warned that without fresh imports of Grains, Meat, Petrol and other such items, Volksgards economy would crash within the month.

Other:

A order from SS High command has today ordered the reopening of the dreaded Districk 13 Labour camp, originally set up for purging the unwanted members of Volksgardian society it's new purpose would be to help boost production of raw materials. It would need slave labour to run and the few slaves left in Volksgard were of poor quality, the Military has started looking outwards to other nations and formulating a strategy for the acquisition of more slaves.

Though the current financial dearth of Nazi Europa has struck The Imperial German Domain, it has not been to the extent as it has been for her neighbor nations. The Schwerer Gustav Mountain range in the northern provinces provide an abundance of a variety of ores and elements for civilian and military technologies, while the southern-most province, Fructbarland, continues to bear healthy produce for the German Imperial populace. Even in the face of adversity, Herr Geoffrey refuses to increase industrial production in his residing province of Eireweite at the risk of harming Muchania's beautiful environment. What was once the international pride of Muchania's economic system, Tourism, is now a shell of its former self. With international travel dropping below record numbers as airline and passenger vessel prices skyrocket, the state-regulated casinos and brothels in Muchania's most popular vacation province, Undshufdorf, have laid off tens of thousands of employees; the cost of maintaining said establishments has become too costly without revenue, and many are considering boarding up their windows and doors.

Politics
In an effort to return Muchania to its former 'Regional Gem' status, Herr Geoffrey sends personal invitations to the ruling bodies and members thereof to the nations of Wiking Nordland and Remnants of Exilvania to promote the natural beauty of Muchania and to treat said officials to some of the more lucrative "morally questioning" establishments that have been kept afloat by Herr Geoffrey's personal savings account alone, in hopes of attracting larger swaths of tourism in the future, and also to foster healthy trade relations should these nations happen upon unforeseen financial foes.

Military
After the annually held National Mechanics and Electronics Fair showcased two new vehicles of military interest, the ShPzJg ‘Wildschwein’ tank destroyer and the Storch 4A1 G.A.P (or ground attack plane) will be put through hellacious testing at the Osterschätz Proving Grounds in Osterschätz throughout all of this week to determine if these vehicles are fit to be incorporated into the ranks of the Angriffskraft.

Miscellaneous
The Internal Investigation Ministry is looking into incident occurring yesterday in which two F.A.F officers were allegedly involved in an altercation with a 17-year old male who was hospitalized. The bystander who contacted the Emergency Situation Hotline claimed that the two officers were "violently assaulting the young man who was screaming and crying for help, while the officers laughed and continued to beat him...". The Commanding Officer of the F.A.F, Schulleiterin Veronika E. Purkke, stated in a public address: "...This is an unacceptable occurrence to have happened on my watch and I am deeply embarrassed by the actions of my subordinates and their blatant disregard for F.A.F protocols. I will leave no stone un-turned to ensure the victim of this heinous crime receives full justice..." No names have been released at this time, but the medical facility the young man was sent to has informed us that he is in stable condition and is refusing to cooperate with authorities at this time.

Sometimes discretion is the better part of valor

"See, Herr Oberst? This city is the perfect storage! Lots of deep basements, bunkers and even a big wall! Not to mention it`s connection to the Industrial Railway Network! With a little work here and there and fixing some oles in the walls or streets, we should be able to travel through here easily again and put it on under direct ZZ control."

, the ZZ Obersturmführer asked. Only a few days ago he had received orders to look for suitable locations that could possibly turned into large, high security depots. And this order had come from now one else but the current leader of the ZZ, Dietrich Ekerhart Haegler. He had of course been rather intrigued about why the leader of the ZZ as well as the puppet master behind the nation needed a depot. But he didn`t ask questions. He followed the orders given to him. And he really had to say that it hadn`t actually been that hard to choose a place.

The former capital of Exilvania, the Kaiser`s city called Vladstag, had been lying in ruins ever since the 1. Battalion Wars when the Alliance of nations had besieged the city. After the war it had been too much work to rebuild it and after the loss of the Kaiser in the 2. Battalion Wars, the Exilvanians didn`t even want to rebuild it. It was their way of honouring the Kaiser. Last time something had been built there was shortly after the great Nazi European War during the great economical boom. Back then Exilvania had been in need of supplying it`s cities quicker and had built the Industrial Railway Network to connect the Industry with the citizens. And Vladstag just became a Nexus in this system.

The Obersturmführer`s thoughts were interrupted by the muffled voice of Haegler. He had almost forgotten that Haegler was now inspecting the place if it was really suitable.

"Indeed Obersturmführer. Very well indeed. But we will need workers. And of course Guardians. I`d say this depot is going to be under direct ZZ control so maybe we won`t even have to touch the Military. We`ll get the workers from some of our prisons and camps in the wasteland. Whip them to death if needed to get them to build this quickly. Now, please excuse me. It looks like my presence is needed somewhere else."

And with that the Obersturmführer heard steps walking away from him. However, he didn`t really know what was going to be stored in this depot so he turned around to look after Haegler and maybe get an answer upon which he could get atleast a slight imagination on what exactly to build.

"Herr Oberst! Mind telling me what will be stored here? I`ll need to know for the plans!"

Haegler didn´t even turn around to answer and just responded while walking:

"Ghosgene Gas! All of it! That`s why I want the best possible security around here. Damn that convention..."

To understand the rest the Obersturmführer would have had to follow Haegler but he knew better. Haegler had been in a bad mood ever since the Nazi European Convention had prohibited the usage of gas in warfare. For an army using gas as much as they did it basically meant that they were sitting on top of massive amounts of lethal substances that would probably not be put to use for a long time. Atleast he knew now that Vladstag was the right location for the depot. He`d need a lot of space for all the gas...

Now that Haegler had finally shaken off this pesky ZZ officer, he could focus again on other things. For instance that Soldier down there waving his hands, signaling Haegler that he was needed down there. When he got closer, he saw that the soldier was a Radio Officer and realized that there probably were important messages for him. And so he just asked from the distance:

"What is it? Did the Anglo Isles Tea Front strike again or what?"

The Officer however kept quiet and just showed him 2 telegrams once he was close enough. Haegler just grabbed them lazily and swiftly read through them. Looked like Exilvania would have to show it´s face again on the stage of International Politics. Muchania had sent an invitation to his government for holidays and negotiations as it seemed. It also seemed that Wiking Nordland wanted to open trade relations. The Muchanian request was rather pointless to him and so he ordered to send back a nice excuse for not coming. However, trade relations with the neighbour Wiking Nordland were in these times of economical turmoil of utmost importance. A Telegram telling the Wikingers that they would soon have a Diplomatic Delegation visiting. He himself would not come though. There was a lot of rebellion slowly rising again all over the nation. He really shouldn`t have given the people that many freedoms to "reward" them for the economical boom. Now they had become a little more cocky than was good for them. Looked like he would have to pull at the strings a little harder from now on...

In the west wing of the Reichstag, laid the Obersterfuhrurin's office, the seat of power for the Nachfolgian Reich. The Obersterfuhrurin's office has been the center of politics and social matters in the Reich since the first Obersterfuhrur was appointed in 1820. In those days, The Nachfolgian Reich known today was born from a revolution that oust the monarchy and resulted in the execution of Kaiser Himmenstauss III. Since then, Nachfolgia has walked down the road of a xenophobic dictatorship and has no intention of halting its march to greatness.

In the large, extravagant office, a young woman sat behind a large oak wood desk. She wore a black, knee length dress underneath a dark gray overcoat. The overcoat had high ranking officer epaulettes on the shoulders and shiny gold buttons running down the length. The woman's blonde hair was tied up in a bun with part of her bangs falling over her right eye. Her blue eyes were fixated on the tablet device in her hand, reading through the soft copies of official documents. Many of the files detailed a variety of different subjects, from troop movements to new laws to be enacted. These were just preliminary editions to be looked over before the final hard copies were signed.

After looking over some of the files, the woman exited the application and decided to watch the news. When she opened the app, the image of a man and a woman appeared on the screen, sitting behind a desk. The two were also wearing the black uniform of the Waffen-SS, A branch of the Nachfolgian Wehrmacht. The black-clad Nachfolgians were news anchors for Nachfolgian National News, the only existing news network in the Reich owned and operated by the broadcasting department of the SS.

[German] "[ Good Morning, Nachfolgia. This is Nachfolgian National News, your choice of all your national happenings.]" The black haired woman said with a smile.

" [ We have exciting news for you today.]" The blonde haired man chimed in. "[ Today, April 14, marks the end of Obersterfuhrurin Angelika von Sturmgeist's second year in power.]"

"[ That's right, Rudolf. Two years ago, the Obersterfuhrurin made Nachfolgian history by becoming the youngest Sturmgeist to hold the position as well as being the first female to do so. Of course, the seat of power didn't come without a price. The Obersterfuhrurin gained power after her father, Obersterfuhrur Dieter von Sturmgeist, and older brother, Hauptmann Dieter von Sturmgeist II, were killed while touring the Germanic Colony of Persia."]

"[ The group responsible for this heinous attack was a small organization of Islamic extremist trying to gain control after the collapse of the Persian government. Of course, these 'sand people' weren't wise in doing so, as it brought down the entire wrath of a nation out for blood.]"

"[ Exactly. In an amazing show of strength and resilience in her first hour in power, The Obersterfuhrurin ordered the Waffen-SS to and I quote '...find and eradicate everyone responsible for sending our father to Valhalla...do not rest until all the rats are crushed under our collective boot.' "

"[ In Social News, it is the second day of protests as minorities all across the Reich march the streets asking for social reform. These 'downtrodden masses' are demanding that they be recognized as citizens of the Reich and be allowed the same rights as pure-blood Nachfolgians. These protests stem from decades of discrimination and the recent economic recession that has forced them even further down the social and cultural latter. The Reichspolizei Chief, Johann von Kempf, has sent the Reichspolizei in force to quell the dissidents. Casualties are in the hundreds as the Reichspolizei use deadly force to put them down."]

"[ I don't know about you, but I'm glad that the Chief von Kempf is putting these minorities in their place. What were they thinking, trying to oppose the Reich? You think they would have learn when they were taken from their homelands and brought here to work like slaves.]" The male anchor said with an angry tone.

"[ Well...no one is accusing them of being smart. If they were, they wouldn't have been so easy to conquer."] The female anchor replied, causing the two to burst out in laughter.

The woman in the overcoat exited the news app as a knock came from her dark wood doors. "[ Come in.]" The woman said in a soft, but elegant tone. The door opened and a tall, older man walked in. The man wore a high ranking general's uniform of the Nachfolgian Heer, carrying his dress cap. The man was Feldmarschall Hans von Sturmgeist, commanding general of the Wehrmacht. "[ My Obersterfuhrurin, I hope you are not busy."] Hans said in a rough voice, hinting at his age. "[ Uncle...I don't require you call me by that title."] The Obersterfuhrurin said with a smile, sitting up in her chair. "[ You don't, but tradition does. I called your father by that title, even though he was my brother. I will call you by the same title, even though you are my niece.]" Hans said as he took a seat in front of the desk.

The Obersterfuhrurin didn't respond and looked at the bust of her father against the wall along with all the previous Obersterfuhrur.

"[I'm sure you heard about the riots in Edelweiss, Schwarz-Kamm, and right here in the Capital.]"

"[ The Reichspolizei Chief knows his orders. He can't afford to disappoint me.]" The Obersterfuhrurin said in a serious tone, glaring back at her uncle.

"[ Heh...same as you were on your first day when you ordered the extermination of every Muslim in Persia. You're just like your father...brilliant, natural leadership, but you are far more ruthless.]"

"[...You're too flattering uncle.]" The Obersterfuhrurin said with a smirk. "[ Let's just hope the rest of Nazi Europe thinks that when I ask for a meeting face to face. I'm the youngest leader, you know.]"

"[ Everything will be fine, My Obersterfuhrurin. The entire Reich has faith in your abilities...including the gods. You won't disappoint us.]"

The technology sector in Of Leben continues to decline as materials for their circuitry are still in short supply. Industry leaders and leading researchers from both civilian and Military fields have come together to discuss the crisis and attempt to find a short term solution. While Chinese markets are now open, it is unclear whether they will remain open, or if negotiations with CCP officials will remain open. In light of this news, protesters from all over the nation have gathered to the capital to show their objection to this. "No sir, of course not sir!" The short man sweats profusely as his legs shake and he wipes his forehead with a wrinckeled hankerchief that was scrunched in his pocket.

"then if your not in trouble stop shaking, its making me uneasy." Aleman proceeds to open the envelope and take the message in the envelope out. He skims through the telegram, and dismisses his now sweaty assistant who then leaves hastily through the door and closes it.

As Aleman begins to fully read the telegram, he gets up from his desk and sits on his luxury chair. As the minutes pass by, a delighted look passes upon his face and he begins to write his reply. Aleman confirms that a representative will attend the meeting. After half an hour over careful but eloquent writing, he steps outside his door to hand the reply to one of his senior assistants to have it wired to Volksgard. Looking pleased, he walks into his office once more to retrieve his his coat and orders the Chancellory transport to pick him up. He is on his way to tell his Chief of Foreign Relations the good news.

Breaking news

The referendum known as R.L 2078, a decision given to citizens on whether they should be annexed in The Sevii Archapelego, has come back. In a stunning popular vote, the referendum came back 93% in favor and 7% against. The results were just finished being counted 2 hours ago, and people in the streets of the city celebrate with joy as they now have the opportunity to be officially be part of their homeland. Lebenian colors are being displayed as Lebenian nationalist parade through the street (fairly intoxicated). Church bells ring and the Catholic Cathedral of Our Mother of Lady Mercy in the largest city on the island-Punto Blanco, hold a celebratory mass for the faithful to congregate and dine together as a community. As feelings and sentiments are high amongst the Ethnic Lebenians and Catholics on the island, similar-but not as enthusiastic feelings are felt on the mainland.

the representatives of each nation met (Of Lebens representative can use Video call link due to distance) and Volksgards Ministers have presented the following offers:

1. The import of Petrol, we require 10, 000 Barrels of Petrol each month for 2 years in order to sustain our economy, transport can be provided via our excellent Airships.

2. The import of 5, 000 extra tons of Grain and 3, 500 tons of meat or fish every 6 months for 3 years.

The massive Gu-104 Zeppelitz was slowly descending towards Wiking Nordland from the sky. On board were the about 40 crew members as well as about 50 men making up the diplomatic delegation. More than half of the delegation was made up of ZZ guards who were to act as honour guards as well as line of defense against threats. But they hopefully wouldn`t be needed for the time of their stay in Wiking Nordland. But right now they were facing a different problem. The pilots couldn`t find a suitable location to land the massive Zeppelin. And as Exilvanians are very well known for their discipline they knew that it would just cost lots of badly needed time to look for a place to land.

Which was why the Zeppelin`s Rabenführer quickly gave a radio message to possible Wikinger Authorities on the ground that they should expect paratroopers coming down WITHOU hostile intent. In the meantime the delegation g eared up, made sure that the documents and what ever else they brought with them was properly secured as well if their uniforms were sitting thightly. They then tested the parachutes for reliability before all heading to one of the Zeppelins exits. One of the crewmembers followed them and gave them the signal when to jump. And so they jump one after another into the blue sky of Wiking Nordland, opening their white parachutes shortly after and gliding majestically towards the ground. Well, atleast in most cases.

The Zeppelin on the other hand turned around now that it`s mission was done and headed towards the next big city with an airport to request permission to land.

--"Uuuuhhhnnn-n-n-n-nno Herr Kommandant, absolutely not, Herr Kommandant!" The quiver in his voice was apparent.

--"Good, now please do not shout, the acoustics of this building create a horrible echo. You did point me in the correct direction for the book I want, yes?"

--"Of course, Herr Kommandant, this library has been orchestrated by me since the beginning of your rule. Everything is where it should be."

Geoffrey's eyes happen upon a large, thick book whose binding title is obscured with dust; a quick sharp exhale reveals its title: "Artillery of the German Empire, Volume I, A Muchanian Reprint."

--"Ah, there you are. It has been found, Derick."

--"Oh, praise the Eagle! Please come down now."

--"Just because you are afraid of heights, does not mean I must be also." He mimics Derick's voice as he descends the ladder.

--" I assume you have heard the latest F.A.F debacle?"

--Disgusted, Herr Geoffrey replies, "Oh do not remind me. At the end of each F.A.F graduating class, I personally step in and tell those delicious little domineering brats, that they can do exactly as they wish, SO LONG AS THEY DO NOT GET CAUGHT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. I might have to personally spank some behinds on this matter."

--Assuming a raunchy tone and raising an eyebrow, Derick retorts, "Oooooh, going to give the Schulleiterin what for, eh, Kommandant?"

Geoffrey stares at Derick blankly, who in return stares back puzzled. Herr Kommandant grabs him by the shoulders of his sweater vest and slams him into the rungs of the ladder, toppling a few books at it's height.

He pushes his leather-gloved finger into the nose of Derick until it resembles a pig snout, Herr Kommandant's face as red as his Carmine uniform. "So help me by the Order of the Crop, you WILL NOT speak of our Lady and MY Mistress like that again!"

Derick's eyes are wide with fear. His mouth gapes open. He shakes so violently his body vibrations slap the ladder against the shelve it rests on. After exactly one minute of brutal silence, Geoffrey bursts into maniacal laughter, doubling over, his peaked cap slips off. Derick composes himself with a few quick gulps of air and slowly, awkwardly joins his ruler in the 'amusement'.

--"Oh, Derick, how I love you so," he puts his arm around Derick's sweaty back and pats his shoulder,"You are indeed one of my best friends. No, it is not I who will be giving her what for, but rather her giving ME what for!"

--"Geoffrey, you ARE a devil!" he chuckles."Allow me check this book out for you."

Herr Kommandant assumes his cap and reshapes it with his hand. From a distance the sound of fast feet clack against the floor, louder, louder, louder, accompanied by a quick flapping sound. One of the Imperial postboys sprints into the library, his mail bag slapping against his hip. He stops abruptly at the Kommandant's feet and catches his breath.

--"Herr Kommandant, I have matters that require your urgent attention." he huffs, unsnapping the cover to his bag and thrusting a stack of telegrams into the Kommandant's hands.

--"Thank you, Postboy, you are dismissed."

Herr Geoffrey reads aloud to himself: "From the desk of Minister of Foreign Affairs Björn Christophersen of Wiking Nordland..." he trails off studying the small text. "Ah, excellent; his ambassador will not leave unsatisfied...... Nachfolgia?............Hmm, my presence is requested at a council...and......Oh yes, Exilvania.....unable to attend, please reschedule soon...." Herr Geoffrey slips into a moment of deep thought.

--"The book is ready for you to depart with, Herr Kommandant." Derick interrupts.

--"Thank you, my friend. I shall converse you another time. Perhaps we will have a pint together later this afternoon."

--"That sounds wonderful, you have a pleasant day, Geoffrey."

As the sun was shining in the sky, the delegation of the Minister of Finance Helmut Bauer could see approach some dark shapes from a Zeppelin, not long before they all open their parachutes and land graciously, or not, on this open field. When those communists came many years ago we just retreated to mountain fortresses and when they foolishly entered Azgoghkian mountains, we slaughtered them like sheep. The fools did not even have proper mountain equipment. I was a little kid back then, but I remember the Valley of the Lords of Winter full with communist war prisoners being flayed alive, screaming for mercy and receiving none... But it is true that they burned down most of our cities, because it was hard to defend them from mountain tops. And all the killing and rape in the lower valleys... Maybe we really need to seek allies and trade partners. Very well. Contact the leaders of those nations and seek constructions of embassies in their capitals and the trade agreements. Now, go."

The Exilvanians reached the ground in an orderly fashion and the ZZ Guards immediately began to look after the delegates and take the parachutes. The delegates on the other hand quickly disposed off their parachutes and gathered together before moving towards Bauer, led by an imposing man with a Cuirass as well as an eyepatch and almost white hair. And that made him stick out a lot from all the other Exilvanians around who were all wearing the usual Exilvanian Gas Masks with the green glowing visors.

About 5 m before Bauer most of the delegation stopped while the imposing man proceeded to walk towards Bauer only accompanied by 2 ZZ soldiers. Once he stood directly in front of Bauer he offered his hand for a handshake and introduced himself with a cold smile:

"Greetings der Herr! Let me introduce myself quickly. I am Graf Igor Similowitsch von Aergernis, Ruler of the Grafschaft of Aergernis as well as the head of the foreign ministry. Pleased to me you but I don`t think I have much time for this so let`s get right to the point, ja? From what I know, your nation offered trade relations? Now we`d better specify this a little don`t you think so? What goods do you want? Or let`s better start with what goods we want and what you want in return? We need food. Lots of food. Our Agriculture may be highly efficient but I guess you know how hard it can be to feed 22 Million people. Now what do you want?"

In the background a group of about 10 ZZ soldiers could be seen running after a parachute which was flying around on low altitude due to the windy weather. Except for that one the ZZ had already managed to gather all the remaining parachutes and was now more or less guarding both the parachutes as well as the delegation by standing around, keeping an eye out and pointing their weapon into every possible direction.

Dietrich was sitting all alone in his office. In front of him was an opened telegram as well as an opened package. He seemed to be deeply lost in thoughts and was holding a jar with something within it in his hand. But he wasn`t left in thoughts for long. A few knocks on the door and a ZZ officer entered, pulling a small cart with dossier behind him.

"Herr Oberst, the reports you requested."

With a sigh Dietrich threw the jar over to the officer who actually managed to catch it. He then took a quick glance at dossiers and documents before deciding what to do with them. He was signing lots of search warrants or execution orders for people the ZZ knew of who were hostile towards the Exilvanian government. While doing so he ordered his Officer:

"Get that jar out of here. Bury it somewhere in the Schrottplatz. Oh, and get me the Ministry of Foreign affairs. I need to set up a telegram, no, a telegram with a little present!"

The Officer saluted and quickly left the room as he was ordered to. Only days later Muchania would receive a package with a letter on top:

How am I supposed to excuse them if you`re trying it right again? Sending me some luxury food here as if I`d have the time to eat something like that! But let`s keep the calm. You want trade as well as a Military Alliance? From what I`ve seen so far I`m fairly reluctant about the trade. It`s just such a great distance. Nothing that we could really profit from. A Military Alliance however does not fall upon deaf ears over here.

Diplomacy
A private jet awaits on a private runway in Of Leben's biggest airport, Konz-Leben Internationale, for diplomat Klaus Ferdinand, Of Leben's Head of Foreign relations. He was formally dispatched by Chancellor Ricardo Aleman to handle negotiations with Volksgard and secure an agreement on behalf of the Nation and industry leaders. Among other things on the agenda, he was tasked with forming formal diplomatic ties with the nation, establish mutual embassies, begin military cooperation, secure a trade deal between both nations so the industry could form stable business, and establish one Catholic Church in the area for any future emissaries to attend so the diplomats can stay in the long term. Despite the large plate to fill, Ferdinand was confident.

As he arrived to the airport, Klaus held his head high and got out of his armored car into the sidewalk next to the airport. As he entered the airports front lobby, he was greeted by a team of 5 men in dark suits.

"Hello sir, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jacob Garcia, and i'm tasked with overseeing your safety through out this trip sir."

Behind Garcia stood 5 other men in dark suits. While 3 were not visibly carrying a weapon, 2 of the men carried UMP-9's in black slings that matched their suits.

Despite the fact that everyone in the lobby was intrigued and could not help but look at the men, Klaus was unaffected by them. After all, he had engaged in dozens of similar missions in his career, this was no different. He checked in through the security checkpoints and made it to the run way where he and his security officers boarded the plane. After a brief wait for confirmation to take off, the plane took off and headed its way to Volksgard.

His secretary, an unassuming middle aged woman entered the room and handed an envelope to Aleman and departed the room for her desk. Ricardo opened the letter and saw that it was from Nachafolgia. Intrigued, he opened the letter and found its contents intriguing.

It is 4 AM in Konz-Leben Internationale Airport in Of Leben and heavy fog has obstructed visibility. Flight dispatchers are struggling to keep air traffic going without delays, when suddenly a lone military transport plane appears seemingly out of nowhere. When dispatchers are ready to call the alarm, fearing an act of terror, the following message is radioed to the airport.

"This is Akabar Qorrashi speaking. I am royal noble of the Aryan League of Azgoghk, brother of the High Prince Corwin Qorrashi and the emissary of the Aryan League to Of Leben. Including me, there are two royal nobles onboard, so we are landing immediately. Contact your government and, if it pleases you, show me the preffered runway to land, as I have been told that in your country civilian planes might not give way even to the nobles."

The surprised dispatcher turns to his colleague. "The fu--?"

Political/Diplomacy:

The Volksfuhrer has responded positively to both Of Leben and Wiking Nordland offers and deals, however Top military officers have voiced their disappoint at Wiking Nordlands declining of their Freikorps request.

And in response to Of Leben s request of establishing a catholic church, the Volksfuhrer himself has agreed to one being built in Erdestadt (second largest city in Volksgard), in the hope that this show goodwill will lead to Volksgard securing a good deal in further negotiations.

Military:

Today the High Command of the military has announced that they will be replacing the Leopard 2a7 currently in service with a Volksgardian design, this is being changed due to the lack of spare parts for the Leopards and the difficulty in acquiring new vehicles.

So far only the name of the new MBT has been released: The "T16 Panther 16/120", however hopes are high for this new tank.

Other:

Recently fierce storms hit the west coast of Volksgard and killed over 800 people, our condolences are with the family's of those affected.

The two delegations were sit arround a long, oval table made of thick pine, while the Wikingers and Exilvanians guards were both standing, weapon in hands, behind their officials, or outside, waiting for the meeting to end.

After a brief talk of Exilvanians officials requesting for foods and asking what Wikinger's minister would in exchange, he put his fingers calmly on a file, opening it in order to get out a sheet of paper, as he stands back straight on his chair :

- Herr Graf Igor Similowitsch von Aergernis, we have indeed food to export, varieties of seafood from our fishing industry.
In exchange, we want the different kind of raw materials you are able to sell us, rubber, steel, aluminium... i will not list them all, you know them as well. We are in need of Oil too. Here is the quantities we currently need.

As his mouth shut, the minister Bauer stretch out his arm in order to give the sheet, with full list of required materials. The quantities were enough to supply the whole Automobile and Arms sector of Wiking Nordland.

The quiet ocean breezes flowing into Konz-Leben from the Caramel straight enters the quiet bedroom of Department of Air Space Security (DASS) Dexter Luna, who lets out a relieving sigh as the cool breeze cools his warm room. The AC unit has been on the fritz, and lately it has been warm in the Chancellory's west wing. Despite this, Dexter's room was situated in just the right place to get an occasional cool breeze from the sea to make the place more livable. The peaceful room was then disrupted by the loud ring of a telephone on the dresser next to his room. Startled, he picks the phone up immediately with a disgruntled and angry voice.

"This better be good. Last time you called it was about some kitten trapped in a tree."

The operator, in a somewhat nervous voice said

"Sir, we have a situation on our hands and we need to know what to do."

"Well, then whats going on?"

"A military transport from the nation of Azgoghk has requested a landing on our airport in Konz-Leben Internationale. They arrived unexpectedly and unsurprisingly and we hadn't given them permission to enter our airspace. They claim they have 3 royal members on board but it is unknown what else is on board."

Know comprehending of the tenseness of the situation, Dexter got up and put the phone on speaker and began frantically rummaging through his wardrobe for an outfit to wear.

"Sir?"

"im here, have the local garrisons mobilized?"

Yes, all available guards in the district of Konz-Leben have mobilized and have been dispatched to secure the area. Additionally, two fighters have been dispatched and are currently eyeing the transport from a distance.

"good, let them land on any available runway of your choice. When they land, tell them that they should not leave their vehicle or they will be arrested for illegal violation of airspace"

The fog begins to clear as the sun begins to rise at 5 AM. The beautiful sunrise however, is only a mere unfitting backdrop in the tense situation at the airport.

Adolphe, the Chief Marshall of the Konz-Leben International control tower picks up the radio and gives the message as he was instructed.

"Aircraft 1-X you have permission to land on runway L-78. Be notified that you have violated Imperial airspace and you may be subject to penalty under Of Lebenian air codes 332-A.S and international codes of air conduct. It has been requested that you stay within the aircraft until you are given permission to otherwise do so."

After a brief static, the radio picks up another signal from the Control Tower.

"Additionally, please be advised that you are being monitored by Of Lebenian aerial forces, so it is advised that you do not provoke or incite a hostile response"

By now, Several hundred Landwher troops have occupied the airport as they await further instruction. In the air, a pair of F-21 Bullsharks are trailing the foreign transport waiting for any sign of hostility from the ship. A tense situation now getting hotter, it is unknown what will happen next.

Konz-Leben Internationale Airport, 5 AM in the morning

Akabar Qorrashi was angry. Of course, he was almost always either angry or very happy. This gigantic, obese man, who was over two meters in height and suffered from frequent mood swings was the unlikely choice for Azgoghkian emmisary in Of Leben. If he would be in better mood, even he would see the funny side of this situation. But he was not.

"Fu---ng Corwin! The son of a b--ch! What does he think he is? Sending ME here like some servant! And then those arrogant Lebenians won't even let me exit my plane. Look, Sapra, they even have soldiers here in airport. I am sitting here in the fu---ng plane like some monkey in a zoo! They are laughing at us - laughing at me! And I bet, Corwin is laughing right now in his throne room like a sick bastard that he is! And I am getting hungry!"

His daughter, Sapra Qorrashi, was a medium-build, hardly noticeable young lady. However, it was hard not to notice the strange scar across her face. She just listened to Akabar ranting and smiled - this was hardly the first time when she heard him ranting like this and she knew, that soon he will come to his senses.

"Father" Sapra carefully said "Corwin is the High Prince of Azgoghk and your words are technically treason. Also you are calling your own mother - and my beloved grandmather - a female dog, which she clearly was not. And the Lebenians are not guilty of anything. You insisted that we arrive without any warning... Without any disrespect, but what did you expect?"

"Hmmph" Akabar grumbled "They should treat us like royalties we are. The brother of the High Prince doesn't have to announce his presence. Everybody just notices him." His anger had mostly passed and by now he was only annoyed.

"Not here in Of Leben, father, sadly. Look, why don't you go, eat something and gather your forces for a diplomatic mission we have. Let me answer the good Lebenian Chief Marshall" Sapra advised.

Akabar smiled, his good mood slowly starting to return "Very well, Sapra. Eating is always good. Take care of the business and make sure we meet their Prince as soon as possible."

Sapra smiled as well "I don't think Lebenians have a Prince -" She stopped, seeing that Akabar is not listening anymore, smiled again and wrote a following letter to Lebenian Chief Marshall.

In the name of Nation of Azgoghk I, emissary Akabar Qorrashi, offer my deepest apologies for the airport crisis. I assure You, this was only because of failed communications. Apparently there was an error in our communication system and the warning about me arriving was not sent.

I come in peace and goodwill, to ensure the aforemented peace and goodwill between our nations to continue. My visit is ordered by my brother, High Prince Corwin Qorrashi, who has heard great things about Your nation and is willing to develope the relations between our states and open trade routes.

Therefore I seek an audience with the Head of Your Government to discuss aforemented things. I hope that despite the initial misunderstanding such a meeting will be possible.

For now, I would like to ask permission to leave my plane. On the board we have me - Akabar Qorrashi, brother of the High Prince; my daughter, Sapra Qorrashi, Secretary of the State; Lord Maeluth, master pilot and high noble of Azgoghk and finally four (4) armed bodyguards.

Igor simply took the file from the Wikinger and took a quick look at it. He gave off a rather displeased grunt. He held the file behind himself and immediately one of the Officials standing behind him grabbed it and made it vanish in a small suitcase. Now Igor leaned forward and licked with his tongue over his fangs before continuing the talk:

"Your demands are nothing that we did not expect. Especcially oil is something we like to give. However, I`m a little troubled by the rest. These different materials and the quantity in which you need them might have a significant impact on our war industry. How about we half the amount and you will get more oil instead? And I can not understand environmentalists and all their worries about the environment but well, to each his own. I won`t try to influence you on what your government will do in your country. Or will I?"

When Bauer gave him the letter, Igor couldn`t resist to open it. He did so, looking as if he was doing it every day and was allowed to do so. Only the guards around him knew the truth but they kept their mouths shut. One Exilvanian who had been standing in a corner and filming the whole conversation so far quickly moved behind Igor to get the letter onto his tape. The Exilvanians were making very sure that they had proof about everything.

Igor gave a soft chuckle from himself before holding the letter also behind himself and have it vanish in a suitcase. He then leaned forward again and looked Bauer directly into the eyes. Bauer would probably be able to read satisfaction from Igor`s face.

"Herr Bauer, this is an astonishing coincidence. I came here to offer you just the same thing. Now, after having read this letter I guess that it is an agreed subject in our negotiations. Oh the irony! The environment lovers and the destroyers of environment in a military alliance. Well, I can already tell you that it will be accepted. So let`s end these negotiations with a good firm handshake."

With that Igor just offered Bauer his gloved hand while the Exilvanians in the background snapped to attention.

"You know the specifications meine Herren! Now, you need to hear the reason!

Many of you might be asking: Why do we need a new standard rifle for our troops? The MPXL has worked just fine throughout the last decades!

And there is the problem. You`re all just used to it. However, we`ve been experiencing problems with this weapon in these decades. Problems that I won`t tolerate any longer!

So let`s see what we have...

-1. The weapon jams often, very often.
-2. The weapon loves overheating and deforming it`s barrel.
-3. The accuracy is not the best on longer ranges. Longer ranges being everything beyond 100 m.
-4. The weapon doesn`t have enough punch. We need something stronger and not something creating only ligh fleshwounds on longer distances.
-5. The weapon is not really useful in any other environments then central european ones or our Ödland. This means that it performs rather bad in deserts, jungles and snowy regions.
-6. And the last and probably least important problem. Soldiers keep complaining about the weapon being very clunky.

So I ask you, you meine weapon technicians, engineers, scientists and experts at Steuer Waffen, to successfully develop a new weapon. And enter production of it immediately once I gave my sign of approval for it. And that`s all you need to know, auf Wiedersehen!"

Dietrich was just about to leave the conference room but one of the engineers stood up and shouted:

"And what happens to the millions of MPXLs?"

There he turned around one last time and said:

"They will be kept for our reserves and for total emergency. Safely in Ödland bunkers with the locations only known by a few special people."

"And how are they supposed to quickly supply the reserves?"

"The bunkers won`t be far from the Industrial Railway System. The rest is a piece of cake. Auf Wiedersehen!"
