Background
Deep Haven is a mysterious and hair-raising little place. Fishermen from nearby islands seldom sail there (when they do, they usually ask for better payment), and rumors of strange phenomena and otherworldly happenings and sightings are frequent. The island itself is densely forested, and a single mountain ridge extends between its north and south tips. Its climate is partially tropical, and an almost contant mist envelops its highlands.

It is common knowledge that Deep Haven used to be a lively and fruitful research station, in the fields of biology, chemistry, and earth sciences. Several abandoned research sites are located on the island, and a keen visitor to there may notice deserted vehicles and other equimpment in various places. Four small villages on the south-eastern corner of the island (between Haven Bay and Lonely Peak) were once the residence of the scientists who worked there, but today it is nothing but the final resting place of some crumbling structures.
However, Deep Haven is not completely abandoned. In fact, a native population of roughly 600 people live in about 20 small and self-centered communities, mainly across the south-eastern portion of the island. These people call themselves Tuomi (the local word for resistant), and they don't like strangers.
Recently, several Tuomi had mysteriously disappeared. So, for the first time in many years, the locals reluctantly agreed to let foreigners back on the island, to help investigate and find out what is happening...

- This RP is open for characters from nations of The Western Isles (1-2 characters per nation). To join, please fill the form below and wait for the IC thread.
- It is an "open world" RP - any character may move freely on the island and interact with anything on it. I'll be RPing the local population and anything else players may encounter.
- Keep all OOC matters to this thread (or to TGs, if you want to ask me something in private). No OOC in the IC thread at all.
- Take your time. No rush. This is a slow pace RP.
