"Their empty words mean nothing! Surely they condemned slavery in order to save their own skin. Those human ships detected Androsynthetic ones and wanted to avoid conflict! Humans are experts at lying and manipulation. Such a condemnation could never be sincere."

Although the Androsynthetic Vessels chose to ignore the Alexzonyans, a number of them continued their attacks on the loyalist fleet. For they had their duty: the Alliance had to be maintained. If the Hegemony could not uphold its treaties, then how would any government trust them again?
Loyalist and Rebel forces tore into each other even as the looming threat of the Superdreadnought began to wane.
