The Second Erusean Civil War

Since the end of the FALKEN Disaster and the FALKEN Incident, the Confederate States of New Erusea has flourished within the Verusean Continent and became a superpower within the region. Recent years however, the global market has been competed by major powers that seized the opportunity of a nation's gap within the economy. The Novoselic War, and the Second Verusean Continental War has resulted New Erusea to an economic recession. Which was felt as of today. It seems that the Socialist party of the country isn't doing so well.

New Erusean and Dictator President Malcolm Grand has called in congress to vote for repeats of economic recovery programs. Most of it however, failed. One controversy for the next economic program was the Denfus Economic Act. Where it would allow the entire Verusean Continent and it's neighbors to integrate with the world economy today. And be part of the Allied of Free Republics soon. There were however, concerns about the stand from the public where it would allow such act to pass. The Congress deliberately pushed their hesitations aside, and the Denfus Economic Act was passed with a near tie of 79-73. From the first eight weeks, the economy of the country flourished. But after two months, it turned upside down when liberalists became radical against the idea. The country went downhill as people called for economic reforms, more freedom of expression and freedom of the press. Especially that the current system is absolutely socialistic.

A military coup takes place soon led by Vice President Vincent Applerouth and General Kimstake Soija in Evergreen. Quickly, President Malcolm has fled from the capital along with the administration staff loyal to him to Coastia and turned the coastal, megacity into his temporary capital. Days went by and negotiations from both sides seemed to be grim, and tensions already flare up. Applerouth demanded the public to be free from the Socialism system, and call for freedom of the press, expression and right to vote. The government opposition seemed to deny all the demands made by Applerouth, and threatened military intervention. Soija ordered his loyalists to begin the attack Northeast of the country, and roughly 880,000 men were under his command. Sandicszus and Trihera fell within the week, and both cities were under the command of the rebels.

Because of this act, President Grand called on to his loyal armed forces to combat the coup forces. With Applerouth calling his opposition known as the "Republic of New Erusea" or simply Rebels at this point. Because of Soija and his Commanders service and military expertise, the civil war faced a stoned stalemate. This however, changed dramatically when Sojia commanded two loyal naval fleets and division cells within the military to seize key locations across the country. Desperate to fight back against the rebels forcing to change the country, Malcolm ordered bombings in cities taken by the rebels, and made attempts to retake them back by land invasiosn but failed. And so Malcolm requested assistance from it's foreign neighbors, and even outside the region. Especially to Socialist and Communist neighbors. Applerouth twelve hours later, communicated with the same request message for assistance to take back the country to it's true order.

The lines are at at ease, but the battle does not fade here. Henceforth, even the most costly strategists would make significant losses to the government forces. Malcolm has already pushed his bomber squadrons to the mission to keep the rebels away from the country. Should you side with him, Erusea's most richest agricultural supplies, metal, copper and rich oil fields from the north will be your reward. Especially for the country's current position in the global world, it can dramatically shift political influence to your nation as an ally.

The rebels has won significant areas of the country, but it's neighbors aren't quite pleased from it's progress. The last raid costed an entire division to take Portsmouth from the New Erusean Armed Forces. The Republic Armed Forces, including General Soija has requested help for any nations deemed to assist and take back the country to restore it's old democratic system. The reward is the same as the first one, but Erusea's capitalist influence afterwards is a big boost to one's economy.

New Thread Rule: IMPORTANT

Fighting with a nation like both the Government and Rebels. Especially nations supporting from each opposition and fighting it out. This is how the battle is supposed to be played out to avoid public outrage. I think this is familiar to AFR-CSAT-TESU Roleplayers involved.

• The attacker decides the number of forces, strength and actions committed against that enemy nation or force in particular.
• The attacked decides the number of casualties, damages and how much threatening the aftermath was for them. Note that the aftermath should be fair and acceptable for the attacker when they used their forces.
• Should there be a dispute among both parties, they should first discuss this in OOC ( Not on this thread of course. ) A moderator or a thread God is called to intervene and judge the problem.

As much as I had to research about every thread in regards for intervening in local countries by sending an armada. You should be aware that even with the rebels, the Erusean Government still has a military, an air force and a navy to keep it's sovereignty safe, although disputed. It's best to play this out realistically. As such, if you're so hungry for roleplay and couldn't even become patient and teleport your units here. The thread will be forced to become invites only. So for the love of god, take some actions both politically and diplomatically before intervening.

I mean really, if you can't become patient for the sake of the roleplay. Go -Bloop-ing play Command & Conquer or something.

• No nuclear weapons ( Chemical and Biological Weapons however are an exception, but is not allowed to take any form of a larger spread effect. )
• No unrealistic actions. ( That means when committing larger forces, be fucking fair about it. )

Emporer Cyrus Silva walked into his office, and sat in his overstuffed leather reclining chair, leaning back, thinking about the day's events. He was disappointed when he found a stack of files on his desk, left for him by the Minister of Defense. The files were about a brewing civil war in a country called Erusea. Surely the High Concil would be tired of New Axiom constantly assisting in civil wars, mainly because Jew axiom hadn't fount in a "real" war since Promethia. But, the High Concil was below Silva, so it really wasn't up to them.

Grand Duke Hans Wilhelm XVII sat quietly sipping tea as he read the reports from New Erusea. He was alarmed by how quickly the rebels had taken over masses of government territory, and knew already how his country would react. Standing up and putting down his tea, he carried the reports through the palace until he reached the underground war room. General Winser, Admiral Von Dorf, and Crown Prince Klaus were already there. Hans slapped the folder full of reports onto the table. "You should have already heard of the conflict in New Erusea," Hans said to nods from the three men. "Then you naturally know which course we will take. The government must succeed. We cannot have a new radical regime in Erusea," he continued. "As well, there will be economic benefits to siding with the government."

The men all nodded in agreement. "I am glad you all agree," Hans said, "And with your approval, I will send a force to New Erusea at once." The three men gave their consent. "Excellent. The force of 1st and 2nd Stoßschutz Korps, under command of Prince Klaus, will be sent as soon as possible," Hans said, smiling at his son. "160,000 of our best troops should be enough to quash whatever those idiotic rebels throw at us. Meeting dismissed."

The Industrial city faces it's most intense urban fighting between rebel forces and the Erusean Army. Due to the lack of experience of the new commanders from the Erusean Army, the fight is fiercely fought. And casualties were all time high. The 80,000 men that first charged here with the 88th and 57th Armored Divisions were battered by artillery fire. As night approaches, the rebels takes the significant advantage, and used captured T-80Us and M1 Abrams tanks to smash the Erusean Army's defense line. Artillery barrage followed soon after, and a bloody exchange in the industrial sector of the city, the heart of the city's purpose and name. The air was contested by the rebels' Su-27s and F-14s against the Erusean Air Force's Su-27s and Su-34s, with the competition ending for the rebels favor as they managed to capture Zu-23s.

"TAKE UP! FIRE!"

The Rebel Commander shouted his command, as he swayed his hand and pointed at the enemy positions. Firing a volley of artillery on the enemy forces as they endlessly invade with infantry and vehicles. The slaughter was endless, and the Erusean 5th Army was taking the beat. When Malcolm have heard of the desperate situation in the city, he authorized a more riskier mission to put an end to this.

Three flights of Erusean B-52s followed up as they carpet bombed the entire industrial sector of the city, and the northeast commercial district. Soon after the carpet bombing, the Erusean 8th Army proceeded further to the city. Despite the heavy battle in the industrial sector won for their favor, there were still many more engagements within the city that needs to be cleared.

The city of Coastia is still blooming with it's luminous skyscrapers and crowded streets. As the city has yet to reach the scars of war, the city's airport, which is still functional and flocked by tourists from abroad, was the target of the rebels, but actually orchestrated by President Malcolm himself. To which there is little to no connection that Malcolm is involved on this.

"Okay, we disguise ourselves as the rebs. Give the boss a favor to make the world blame it on the rebs, and put up a heavy support to end the civil war." Said the guy through the comms, informing the four men team as they armed up with American and European weapons that the rebels currently possess. The guy with heavy armor walked out first from the storage room, followed by the other three. As the confused passengers and tourists wander about of what's going on, panic suddenly erupts when the four armed men goes guns blazing. Raining bullets at the innocents of lives in the airport.

The panic suddenly subsides, and both law enforcement and the Erusean Armed Forces arrived at the airport. A small encounter between the airport's security forces against the armed men, but all the four had escaped via jet. Over 880 lives were lost, and 389 were left wounded. This massacre is called "Grant's Bloody Palace", and officials has stated that the rebels significantly overdo themselves by committing such act against the people. The next day, people in Coastia called in for justice of the lives lost. Especially those in abroad, whose families or relatives were killed when they take their time on the country as tourists.

Twelve C-17s took off from the airbase as they carry a few tons of relief goods for the volunteers' mission in the humanitarian aid on Erusean Refugees. Two more C-17s were ready for take off, and another five more were still loading up more relief goods from major corporations and the government owned "Federal Republic Humanitarian Aid Organization" FRHAO. As some hours pass by, there were more volunteers than what the government expected of the estimates. The heavy cargo planes would later take off and land at any airports or airbases the Erusean Government would allow for the humanitarian aid to come by and deliver.

As for security purposes, three C-17s, containing a company worth of Atarashian Soldiers took off to Coastia. Alongside with other 4 C-17s for the mission.

The Capileans, after receiving word from the Erusean Government, had decided to land in the southern part of the island. The transport fleet carrying the two Korps would arrive in a few days, and would hopefully drop the troops off at Dacruz. However, preliminary actions were necessary. A naval squadron, consisting of three heavy cruisers, four destroyers, eight submarines, and a host of escorts, along with two divisions of Whaling Korps(OOC: See my Elite Troops factbook) had been dispatched to starve the southernmost rebel pocket out. Now that flotilla steamed swiftly across the black waters, scanning the horizon for ships. They had been ordered to intercept all shipping coming in and out of the rebel pocket and starve them into submission. There were also planned raids by the Whaling Korps on Portsmouth and Sindricus. They would capture or destroy every rebel ship in the area by force; nothing would get in, and nothing would get out.

A convoy of twenty five large troop carrier aircraft flew through the country, each plane carrying at least 150 troops with assorted support vehicles and Main Battle Tanks. "New Centrist Airport tower, do you copy? Thai is New Axiom Imperial Air Force strategic transport one two seven niner, IFF code three two two seven Romeo foxtrot. Requesting landing permission on runway one, landing vector three five seven six. Do you copy, tower?" Pilot Dmitry Colt, pilot of one of the transports, radioed to the tower. When he was asked what his cargo was, he replied "Several divisions of New Axiom Imperial Army troops. We are here on official buisness, to help with an insurrection." Colt awaited a reply from the tower.

Elements of the 4th Army Group, including the 16, 17, and 18th Infantry Divisions had been deployed to Erusea to aid in defensive operations. The High Strategos had selected New Centrist as their rally point. From there, the New Axiom Imperial Army would create a command center and base of operations for coordinating troop movements across the nation. The goal, based upon a letter form the Erusean government, was to ensure the rebels would gain no more ground, that their troops would not be able to move another foot, and that the rebels logistics would be hampered, if not destroyed. The man commanding this operation was General Zmir Ivanov.

As part of the defensive operation plan, long range railgun artillery would be set up along the countryside. These were the same model of artillery that bombarded the south coast of Columbia during the Columbian Wars. Their range was over 70 miles. (For reference, the Iowa-class battleship guns can fire up to 20 miles. The Nazi German super rail based cannon Schrewer Gustave could shoot 30 miles. If railgun artillery is too far PMT, let me know, but just know that rail guns today are used to launch aircraft from carriers.) These heavy artillery guns would be used to constantly bombard certain rebel positions, and could be moved if neccesary. Also, mobile MLRS systems would move about the nation, constantly bombarding rebel positions with high explosive rockets. Finally, a no fly zone would be set up over the nation. New Erusean government aircraft would be able to fly through the no fly zone, however, to prevent rebel movement, both civilian and private aircraft would not be able to fly through. This would include all airliners from every nation and private crop dusters.

This plan looked good on paper. However, the plan would not be implemented for at least a week, due to the time needed for troops and vehicles to regroup and resupply.

The first wave of C-17s arrived on the megacity. As volunteers both civilian and military unloaded humanitarian aid supplies to the local populace, and to be delivered by the Erusean Armed Forces. Later on, an Atarashian Boeing 767 plane arrives with diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Including Deputy Minister Tao Kuzama, and Atarashian Army General Hokkato Azume, the youngest highest ranking female officer on the military. Only at the age of 28. Kuzama would like to talk with the Erusean Government's officials. Including the President and the staff.

"Welcome Deputy Minister Kuzamia and General Azume, we will be your escorts." As the Private Security officer said. Escorting them to a limousine.

"Thank you for your duty." As the Deputy and the General entered the limo. As they were taken to the temporary parliament set up by the Erusean Government.

Soldiers and sailors bustled around the busy courtyard of Fort Bismarck, the second largest Germanan Military Base in the world, over 50,000 soldiers, 14,000 sailors and, 4,000 airmen were based here and all of them wished they were back in Germana, fighting the Belvanians who had conquered their homeland. Colonel Benito Fachsteun, the chief communications officer at the base, impatiently pushed through the crowd as he chased after the base's commander, Generalleutnant von Spannenleug, while waving a piece of paper in the air...

"Sir! Sir!" He shouted, to get his commander's attention, "We have received orders from Nantebourge, sir, they come directly from the Kaiser!"
"What do they say?" Asked von Spannenleug, excitedly, it had been more than 3 months since they had heard anything from their homeland and the situation was starting to look bleak.
"His Majesty says, Nantebourge has been liberated by the 5th Army Group of Vionna-Frankenlisch and they are now under siege by Belvanian troops... However multiple supply ships have been sent to restock our dwindling supplies here and new weaponry to replace our current stocks."
"That's great news, colonel!"
"And also, we are ordered to commence several recon passes over a nation called 'New Erusea' and see what the situation is like, he personally orders you ,sir, to survey the situation and decide what to do. The entirety of Germana's Colonial Forces have been placed under your control..." Fachsteun paused for a second as he read the last part of the message, but as he did so, a small messenger boy handed him 2 parcels, one long and thin, the other square and moderately thick. Fachsteun's eyes widened and he suggested to his commander, "How about we read this last bit in your office sir?"
Von Spannenleug seemed confused and tilted his head but he followed nonetheless.

Von Spannenleug sat down in his leather office chair and put his feet up on the messy wooden desk, "So Benito..." He said, "How does his majesty end the message?"
Fachsteun smiled and placed the parcels in front of his commander and finished the message: "Generalleutnant Karl von Spannenleug is to be promoted to Generalfeldmarshall!" He gestured to the parcels.
Karl's eyes shined as they widened and his breathing intensified, he tore open the square package and inside sat a cap, identical to the one that his great uncle, Erwin Rommel had worn 70 years ago as his Panzers steamed across Molvani. Karl quickly opened the other box and inside was a beautiful sword, clearly not one designed for combat but probably still very useful for close combat, it had a fine edge and shined in the afternoon sun. The handguard was made from gold, that much was obvious, and the handle itself seemed to be leather coated brass, it's sheath was black leather with gold studs... It was beautiful.

Colonel Fachteun stood and saluted and von Spannenleug returned the gesture, they walked to the window and Karl ordered his subordinate, "Dispatch those planes..."

Eight U2 Recon planes sped along the runway, throwing up gravel and dirt behind them, Generalfeldmarshall von Spannenleug watched their departure with glee from his office window.
The squadron of U2s scattered into pairs as they spread across New Erusea and took pictures as they went, most returned unsuccessful as they had flown over the sparsely inhabited
areas of the nation, one however was different...

Commander Hans Stossman flew his U2 masterfully, doing the same mission twenty times did make the job easier, he supposed, his subordinate... Ivanovich Rublogev, a cadet from Molvani managed the camera equipment. "Comrade Commander, sensors reporting heavy fighting in the city below us, maps report that it is called 'Danisk', sir."
"Richtig, cadet, turn cameras to thermal imaging, record troop concentration within the city, report how many soldiers are below."

"Gruß Gott, I will bring her 7,000 feet lower to make a final pass, then we relay this information to Headquarters."

The U2 turned slowly, diving as it went, the cumbersome aircraft finally reached 13,000 feet and began taking thermal images of Danisk and the surrounding area.
"Uhh, comrade commander?" Ivanovich said nervously.
"Ja, cadet."
Before he could give a rational answer, Ivanovich stood up hastily, knocking his chair over. "Deploy flares, enemy SAM inbound, go, go, go, comrade!"
Commander Stossman instantly pounded the button to deploy flares but he was met with a red flashing light, "We're out of flares, cadet!" he shouted, as the missile struck the plane's fuselage and sent the stricken aircraft hurtling to it's doom. In an moment of madness, Hans ejected without warning Ivanovich, the cadet was surely doomed to die. Yet Rublogev held on and grabbed the U2's logbook, clutching onto it as he jumped from the hole, torn in the bottom of the aircraft.

The pair descended into the central districts of the city below, parachutes deployed, Stossman holding the parachutes cables while Ivanovich clutched onto the downed plane's manifest, the only true information that any Germanan serviceman had on the war-torn nation.

As they hit the ground in flawless flared landings, rolled and darted towards each other, Rublogev still holding the logbook as if it was his only lifeline In the world, and Stossman who had already drawn his Luger P08 from it's leather holster. They stood side by side, not saying a word, they didn't need to. Pure human instinct made them turn their heads violently as they heard the tell-tale sound of a rife being raised...

A fog lay across the harbor of Portsmouth. Most of the town was asleep at one in the morning; the few guards on duty failed to notice anything unusual. Then, out of the blue, the bows of three massive ships cut through the midnight fog. Alarm bells sounded. Suddenly shells were being lobbed by the dozens from the three warships into the harbor, throwing up clouds of rubble and filling the city with craters. The shells crashed through buildings, setting the town alight. Suddenly, dozens of small wooden longboats appeared from the dense fog. Each was crammed with Cholovian marines; an officer sat on the bow of each with a megaphone, shouting to his men to row faster, and next to him sat a soldier with a machine gun. As the boats neared the harbor these guns roared to life, spitting lead into the docks against the rebel forces which were scrambling to their positions. Shells continued to whistle overhead.

The first boats reached the pier, and its' depleted occupants spilled out, diving for cover behind crates and in the small number of dinghies tied down there. More and more marines scrambled onto the harbor; and it became clear that they were using an unusual weapon. The enemy were being peppered with harpoons, for this was the Whaler Korps! Rebels were diced and decapitated by the deadly weapons with marksmen accuracy. The bloody fight continued, but now hundreds of Cholovian troops had reached the shore and the boats were going back to ferry more over.

As the special forces teams of the Republic prepared to depart a specialized and and highly experimental cargo plane loaded with new state of the art equipment, even more advanced than their normal gear, touched down at the airfield and waited as the men gathered their gear and prepared for their flight.

A convoy of over 100 vehicles began a voyage outside of the city. Back in the city, the New Centris Airport was transformed into a full scale military base, with the New Axiom Imperial Army as their occupants. Overhead, hundreds of Jackal Mk-3s flew across the nations skies, enforcing the nationwide no fly zone. And, this massive convoy, carrying artillery, soldiers, tanks, and MLRS systems was bound for the front, they were escorted by six helicopters and multiple tanks. At the front, a local police patrol car was leading the convoy, and this was to ensure everyone on the road pulled over and allowed the convoy through unhampered. This voyage lasted all night long and through the next day.

70 miles out of Sandisczus
Finally, when the convoy arrived at their destination, Army engineers began setting up fortifications and behapgan assembling firing positions for the artillery, the tanks, and the MLRS. after three hours of setup, the artillery and MLRS were ready to fire. They were still 50 miles form rebel held territory, so the only thing in range was the artillery. "All guns, sound off ready-not ready." A voice said over the general command channel. Rhythmically, each and every gun reported in ready to fire. The commander ordered the fire command, and an increasingly loud whine was heard around the guns as the magnets charged, then, with a loud crack as the shell was propelled at hypersonic speeds, the whine stopped. And then started up again, and fired. This cycled continued for a long time; the railguns had started shelling the rebels.

"Admiral Campbell on deck!" Stephanie Campbell normally enjoyed her job, after all she was the first female battlegroup commander in the fleet. Unfortunately today was the moment when she had to pay for her job in blood. While she understood fully what her mission was it still made her feel guilty, if only for a few minutes. "Begin the mission." with those three words four dozen cruise missiles with mixed, anti-personal, EMP, high explosive, and AP warheads launched into the sky, screaming towards their targets being guided by multiple military satellites in orbit. She whispered "Godspeed" before walking off the bridge.

The light at the rear of the plane changed from a warm yellow as the door began opening. Soldiers began triple checking their mask and lined up for the jump. A few moments later the light turned green and the soldiers ran out into the air below, followed by several medium sized crates of equipment.

Malcolm is determined to win this Civil War. With Danisk being slowly taken back from rebel control, and that Operation: Typhoon is about to commence soon. Both the Erusean Army and the Allied Forces will be launching a massive counter-attack on Haven City and it's smaller, outer cities. As soon as Danisk is out from rebel control, allied forces can establish an FOB and Airbase to shorten the time needed for reinforcements. As such, the Battle of Danisk is about to be over soon, with Malcolm seem to be taking this for the win. An entire Erusean Naval Fleet departs from Coastia to bombard enemy forces on Haven's beach and launch an amphibious assault.

"We'll be coordinating allied airstrikes and paratroops as soon as the Erusean Eight Fleet and the 5th Naval Destroyer Group arrives. The ground battle is up to us, while the allies will take the air and elite forces within the city out of the area. Should we succeed, Operation Typhoon will have it's first phase a success, and launch a southern theater invasion to surround the rebel forces. Dismissed."

Meanwhile, Malcolm continues to authorize a safeguarded secret to keep framing the rebels of committing human atrocities. As such, he publicly announces that nuclear weapons will be used for the first time in New Erusea. Should Applerouth refuses to surrender within 48 hours, nuclear forces in from Fort Desuremia will be launching the nation's fewest nuclear arsenals to nuke a rebel held city to submission.

Rebels Side

It's a surprise that Applerouth received communications from Pillowlandia. He's surprised that among all the nations involved here, only one was determined to help him fight back his country to it's true order. Applerouth sent back his aid to Pillowlandia, and accept the nation's assistance in taking back the country from Malcolm's dictatorship. The rebels are currently on the defense, but their defenses on Eastern Erusea has tightened up, and a raid operation is about to commence to seize Erusea's new technology and prototype weaponry. To ensure the enemy doesn't invade Portsmouth and other separated territories, command was coordinated to ensure the fight between them and Malcolm's allies would be hard fought. Some of the volunteers strapped on suicide vests even if the Commanders never suggested that tactic, though they did.

These suicide bombers in New Ixis has wiped out an Armored Battalion. Because of New Ixis strategic importance over the Novoselic border, the rebels gained possession of both an airbase and enough air group of Su-27s and F-15s. Even better, a squadron of B-52 bombers. Since then, the rebels has gathered aid from the Novoselic Freedom Fighters to join in the rebellion.
