I'm thinking of having my nation take no official stance publicly, but support the Parsoh mercenaries covertly with small numbers of special forces - with the understanding that Oslea be provided with special trade and economic agreements in return.

That's fine yeah - although I kind of note that Parsoh has several allies now, and Menthi's got fewer. Anyone fancy supplying a little balance? I think this is going to work much better if no side has a distinct advantage.

Yeah that's possible. Problem is that Parsoh has support and people taking action. Menthi just has support at the moment.

There's nothing to stop you doing some morally questionable things in support of Menthi, or having rather nasty reasons for doing so! Again, that might make things more interesting as so far Parsoh's "side" is very clearly in the wrong. It'd be interesting to muddy the waters a little.
