Aptyre and the rest of the Kiravians set off for the community centre. Within it, a long table had been laid out, adorned with porcelain plates and a fine selection of meats, breads, and even some vegetables, a luxury in the far-flung colony, imported from Alscam.

Aptyre sat at the head of the table, as was traditional for Kiravians, and invited Diegtiz to sit to his left, the place reserved for guests.

(OOC: Sorry for dropping off the map, been a busy few days with baseball playoffs, some family leaving, etc. More posts to come later.)

In the skies over Lundhaven
Oseaton Colony of Merska

The F-21's streaked toward the lumbering Osean aircraft that had been picked up on radar. Originally part of the routine CAP established over Merska and the Protector Squadron, the planes had been detached by their airborne controls on a loitering AWACS to intercept the Osean reconnaissance flight. As they closed on their target, they made no attempt to contact the bomber by radio, instead closing the distance in silence. One fighter took up station alongside the bomber while the other flew behind both aircraft. So long as they were near Oseaton air space, the fighters would remain in attendance, no move would be made to shoot it down, even if it entered Oseaton airspace.

Meanwhile, onboard an electronic warfare plane flying over the Merksa proper picked up the transition between the bomber and the Greenlandic controllers, noting the outright refusal to allow the aircraft to proceed further. The aircraft continued to stay on point, attempting to locate and fix the origin of the Greenlandic transmission, as it would never hurt to know where their air traffic control efforts were located.

Diegtiz graciously took the seat, sighing with relief as he did so. He hadn't eaten anything outside of gruel for almost twelve hours and he was looking forward to some fine Kiravian cooking.

He laughed, "I'm surprised you gentlemen are so slim! If someone were to put such a feast before me I can assure you I'd be large as a house before dessert!" He gently placed his napkin on his lap and waited.

Markland, Greenland

The crew of the Tu-95RT heard the responce and soon were quietly making jokes about it in the back of the plane. The pilot, in a more serious manner than his fellow airmen, replied:-

Acknowlaged. We will exit your airspace as you request and ask that you send your topographical survey to Breslau, the capital of our colony here.

The plane then moved to leave Greenlandic airspace, going at a speed that would allow them to make some additional recordings but not antagonise the radar operators further.

Oseaton Colony of Merska

The Tu-95RT's crew payed little attention to the Oseaton fighters. They knew that the fighters wouldn't shoot them down. So they kept to their mission and while the plane sent to the Greenlandic colony turned back, they continued their course into Oseaton airspace, recording everything they spotted.

ONS Gregory Farragut, 1st Oseaton Protector Squadron, Offshore Port Clarke
Oseaton Colony of Merska

"Commadore, sir, we have an Osean recon flight inbound over Lundhaven, it's current path will eventually take it near New Austerbeck and east of the colony. We've got two birds tailing it, but no contact has been established." reported the RADAR office from his console in the dimly lit Combat Information Center.

"Launch another few fighters to take their place, have them resume their original patrol locations, and if need be get them tanker support. Don't do anything to harm the Oseans, infact, just have the aircraft tag along. If it does attempt to overfly the squadron, or within 20 miles of us, warn them off. As nice as things are, I don't want foreign aircraft dropping in on us." Rhodes said as he looked at the plot displayed on the command table. The plot displayed an immense number of RO-RO ships headed toward Port Clarke and moving through the Squadron. They carried the equipment and soldiers of the rest of the 3rd Corps of the Oseaton Federal Army, which was to be off loaded at Port Clarke before being sent to bases in the interior of Merska. Hundreds upon hundreds of tanks and armored vehicles would be rolled off the ships and checked before moving to their designated points. Helicopters and artillery pieces had to be offloaded as well. The Oseaton Federal Armed Forces thought that the colony was a great basing opportunity to move troops out of the Home Islands and experience life away from home. Many would also be given the opportunity to settle in Merska after their tours were up, which would help build up the islands greatly. Rhodes had no intention of letting anyone know exactly what the vast armada had brought, if no one saw it or got photographs of it, the convoy might be mistaken for a vast supply effort or new wave of colonists.

After Rhodes was done watching the great convoy arrive, he went back to the matters of running the colony. New political factions were vying for his attention, all with their pet concerns. Some groups wished begin introducing more crops to the uncultivated lands while others wished to preserve the islands. An alarming minority had begun denouncing the Oseaton claim to the islands, claiming that Rhodes was mismanaging the colonial lands, saying he spent to much time with military matters. Rhodes himself made a mental note to crush any such sentiment in the colony. The troopers of the 5th EPDB still patrolled the streets of Port Clarke and enforced Oseaton law, as no police force had yet risen to take it's place. Hopefully that would corrected soon, as would the problem of having no colonial government set up yet. Elections were schedule for a few weeks hence, that would allow Rhodes to go back to managing the military assets of the islands and no longer worry about the, in his mind, petty issues of the colonials. With that thought, Rhodes walked off to catch the next helicopter flight to Port Clarke to see how progress on the Legislative Building was going. With luck, it would be ready earlier than scheduled and allow for a quicker transition.

"Aye. Foreigners often remark upon our body type. We Coscivs must have something in our blood. Enjoy!" said Aptyre. He passed Diegitz a serving plate of poultry, while a Cymrev woman offered the Greenlandic envoy some wine.
