The wounded are evacuated in convoys of armored personnel carriers, going as fast as possible to avoid Volkstradi fire. Meanwhile, within the bunker complexes of the so-called "Oil Line," the Soyuza soldiers grieve and try to understand what has happened to them.
The front is a hellish mess, the formerly beautiful Petra timber forests burning as the napalm only adds to the flames. Whenever possible, surviving SAM sites and AA guns fire on the Volkstradi aircraft. For now, the Soyuza Air Force is held back, saving the best pilots from Sakhandar until the Su-27 is mass produced. Hundreds of thousands of refugees leave western Petra, crowding the rail lines and roads as they take all of their belongings, leaving behind eerily quiet rows of housing blocks.
Angry at the Dishonourable demise of their comrades, squads of IVA soldiers with shotguns, SMGs protecting Flamethrower units are sent in to clean out the remains of the Oil Line Bunkers, broadcasting a demand of Surrender before deploying them.
The Baltic Fleet is mobilized and prepared to be sent East. Comprising the near entirety of the Kriegsmarine, the fleet is now enormous. Before sending any ships to attack, U-Boats are deployed after sending advance fighters and bombers to attempt to weaken their foe before combat, particularly their objective is to disable communications and radar.
The Alpenjäger Korps is sent ahead of the rest of the army to cross into the Carpathians of Petra, Spy Planes being sent first to get a view of the path ahead.
Petra Front: Dozens of miles beyond the front line, hundreds of thousands of reserves are ordered to dig in, and immediately begin digging a second line of fortifications. The troops still at the front are given the choice to leave or fight to the death, and surprisingly, almost 150,000 stay behind, seeing retreat as just a cowardly way of delaying the inevitable. As soon as the Volkstradi infantry are soon, small arms and RPG fire immediately opens up again.
The Soyuza Fleet stays in port, rapid construction taking place on deterrent missile boats and submarines, while minelayers lay extensive minefields along the Baltic Channel.
Along the Carpathians, work is ongoing of the second defensive line, with bunkers and communication tunnels being dug into the stone itself, inspired by the kind in Sakhandar.
