This apology is accepted, but little is made of it.
The Volkstradi nation is in a state of chaos, the populace furious and wanting for answers as to who is responsible. They want to know so they may better smite him, military recruitment skyrocketing immediately.

Meanwhile the government, in chaos, appoints the High Marshal as Regent as is custom, until the new ruler can be crowned.
Volkstrad requests that the Kaiser's body be returned to Volkstrad so he may be buried.

A day before the funereal the princess and empress fly to the nation before dropping off. They rent an apartment in the capital resting there for the night before the day of the funereal.

On a cold rainy night, the procession to the Castle begins, the coffin being carried within an old horsedrawn carriage. The Honour Guard walk instead of ride, finding their failure to save the Kaiser a sign of their unworthiness. The Royal Family and the High Marshal however ride behind them on horseback, an old custom of Volkstrad.
The Honour Guard carry candles in lanterns, lit to guide themselves and the Soul of the Kaiser to peace. Citizens and Soldiers of Volkstrad break off from normal activities and follow behind them, walking with them to the Kaiser's final resting place.

When the coffin comes close to the street the women are on they walk outside in the cold and rainy weather, both of them holding a white rose as they wait for the coffin to pass them before tossing the roses on them and walking with the people along the streets.

The USP quietly waits to see what results of the assassination, while quietly speeding up production of priority weaponry like the PAK-FA and T-90, should Volkstrad become careless with their aggression.

In bunkers and ammunition dumps layered in concrete underneath the western defense lines, the USP begins stocking up on ammunition to be used in immediate battle, like mortar and artillery shells, and small arms ammunition.

Both Blackwood and Vukmirr speak their sorrow for the Kaiser. Blackwood saying directly in a interview with Jojo Katleso, that they "pray that he experiences a restful afterlife." No comment was further said but all Volkstradi Blackwood employers have a three day paid vacation to return to Volkstradi and mourn if they are inclined to do so.

As time passes by, the procession eventually comes to the Castle, bleak in this dark and rain. The barrow, the mausoleum, and the runestones lay scattered about, all somber in this light, as if they can feel the pain and suffering of those gathered here, and had endured such suffering since the dawn of man. Here, they would take the Kaiser's remains and lay them before the Mausoleum, the Goðar going about their ceremonies of passage to the next life.

However, unlike normal, the High Marshal would walk out before the coffin to say a few words.
An older man, dressed in a black dress uniform, no medals or insignia pinned upon it. His tone somber, he begins to speak:
"Brothers...... sisters, countrymen......... We stand here, upon this dark night to mourn the loss of our ruler, Kaiser Franz II.... He was a righteous man, and had always done the best he could for our country and our people. He continued the progress that had begun at the hands of his Father, and had done so with such unforeseen speed......... A true statesman, a family man, a man of the people, our Kaiser was the best we could have asked for.......... This..... however, this was not the end that had been determined for him......... Our ruler was taken from us before his time.........."

His tone shifting from sadness to rage, from quiet to loud "And by who? Who is this who would take our Ruler from us, chosen by Divine hand for this role? Who and why? I cannot say what sort of a craven, despicable, empty shell of a man would do this! Before the very eyes of his own children was Kaiser Franz butchered, mercilessly, by a madman! And for what? For what would one gain for killing such a man? I know not! But we shall see who is responsible for this crime! We shall bring those who had any hand in this to justice! We will make them pay! They shall rue the day that they set foot here, and each and every one of them will burn for this! There will be no surrender, there will be no mercy! They will end as our Kaiser did, suffer as his children and our people have suffered! Not one will survive our fury! Today we bury a leader and today we begin the march of war!"

Worked into a fury, the soldiers stand and raise their fists to the air, letting out enraged cries of "Lang lebe das Reich!".
The Goðar carry his body into the tomb, as the rest of the onlookers stare at the events unfolding before them.

Cascadia wishes to send 50,000 troops to the Western Border of USP to help incase of further hostilites, riot shields being sent with them incase objects are thrown at Cascadian and Soyuzan soldiers.
