ISAF-Usea wrote:"All right, and that should be fine. This airfield does not have an official tarmac, as it is a simple airfield. However, it's makeshift runway is huge, and long enough to support large aircraft. We are taking this airfield because the nearest one with a tarmac is deep out west. And we shall setup more anti-air with that then. Now if you're men are ready to move out, mine will begin to load up."
Soon after Shaw said that, he ordered his 200 men and loaded them up into 7 humvees. When the humvees were loaded up, this left about 165 soldiers transportless. Shaw cut his losses and ordered that essential personnel be a priority. 5 engineers were loaded up and 30 soldiers were put into the humvee convoy. He would send more soldiers as the humvees would transit back and forth. Shaw came back to the DEN Colonel. "All I can send is 35 with the current convoy, I will transit more soldiers back and forth as time goes along. But we must take what we have."

"35 is quite enough, Comrade. I have sixty in mine, and five light tanks, so... Maybe forty to fifty more holding on. We'll pool the foot troops together to walk the rest of the way." Heinrich ordered, directing A company onto their transports and turning back to the colonel. "Move them up, Comrade. They'll head off."

The 12 armored cars aligned themselves into a convoy, with three of them holding MG-50I machine guns, and the rest using MG-303s. They were filled with the Death Korps soldiers, and the five light tanks were covered in men as they readied to move out. At the head, in a command armored car, was Captain Sergey, a well educated officer.

As soon as everyone was ready, the convoy began to move. It drove through the streets of Erukea until they arrived on the country road, which was when their real journey began to the Bourbons.

CAMP LADLE, BARIA
The camp's defenders cheered as reinforcements from the fleet arrived onshore. The camp was now preparing for going on the offensive. Colonel Thule, the camp's leader, was overseeing the preparations for the operations. "Sir, camp scouts report a convoy moving out of the city. Though they're heading out West." Said a sergeant to the Colonel. "Hmm... Must be heading out to capture an asset or something. Tell the scouts that we'll use UAVs to keep an eye on them now." Replied the Colonel. "Yessir." The soldier headed off to the comms relay to relay the message. The colonel looked out into the Western distance. "It's only a matter of time now..."

The convoy headed out for the west, armed to the teeth with their MGs, missiles, and four tank cannons. Numbered 116 Namenians, Captain Sergey was confident that his company could take on anything the bastards threw at them. That he was sure of. But without aerial support, or even artillery... It would be hard.

*****

Colonel Heinrich was already busy gathering up men and officers to conduct the second offensive, to the small airfield. He had gathered up an infantry Regiment, numbered 1,160 men and officers, and prepared to move them out. The only support they had was four tanks, but he feared that if they didn't move now... Then the enemy would take it, and capture would be even harder. To make up for that, he made the order that as soon as they were in range, the mortars would set up and get ready to fire immediately.
The beatings will continue. Regardless of morale.

900 nmi from Baria, closing distance
Joint Mobile Fleet
Present

"Admiral, we just received word from HICOM."

Admiral Cole looked up from the table where an overlay of the area of interest in Baria was being placed onto a graphical 3D model. "Well, let's hear it."

"HICOM wants the fleet to continue to provide intelligence support for the time being, while maintaining a constant ability to launch strikes if they are deemed necessary. In addition, we are continue our approach to Baria, until arriving outside their EEZ. Orders are then to provide a base of operations for a special forces unit, expected to arrive within the next 24 hours. Apparently they had dispatched them earlier. They'll be arriving via the Hyperion, but the sub won't be remaining with our force."

Cole glances back towards the table for a moment, as further adjustments are made by several analysts. "And if any foreign military forces attempt to interfere with the fleet?"

"To be dealt with at your discretion."

"What about the arriving unit? Are they RSC, or someone else?"

"Detachment 101, that's all they said."

"God damn it."

High in the sky over Baria, one of INCOM's recon drones focuses it's powerful optics on the ships berthed along the Barian coast. To the frustration of those watching the images, there wasn't enough information to be gathered to determine who they belonged to, not yet at least. That would have to come later.
The drone moving to take the place of the one previously stationed to watch the former-ISAF base was having better luck, however. Just as it was about to arrive on station, it caught sight of the heat signature of a convoy on the move while the pilot switched through the optical modes. A quick request to divert course to investigate was made and approved, and the drone changed course to take a closer look at the convoy.

After an hour drive, The Militia and DEN convoy reached the sea port, the humvees surrounded the main terminal. The Militia soldiers then rushed into the main terminal. After a short fifteen minutes, every civilian and port official was on a wall being searched. About 15 soldiers were searching all 350 port personnel. While 5 soldiers were taking down the Barian flag and raising a hastily made Militia flag. Which was green, and has two rifles crossing eachother over two people shaking hands. One of the soldiers reported to the sergeant, whom had oversaw the operation. "Port secure sir!" "Very good." The sergeant then turned to the DEN CO. "Airport secured sir."

CAMP LADLE

"Sir, UAV scans report that The Militia has just taken Jenks port." Said the intel officer, the CO of the intel section of the Ladle Bunker. "What? They were ACTUALLY smart enough to take it?" "Apparently so sir." "Prepare a rapid strike force, we need to take it out before they can use it." "Yessir."

Soon, a team of 30 ISAF soldiers was loaded up into a single combat chinook, which was being loaded up with machine guns and TOWs. It would take awhile to completely load the chinook, giving whoever occupied the port time to prepare hasty defenses.

"Good. Very good. I'll signal the ships to move on ahead into the port." Captain Sergey replied, and took up his radio, and contacted the lead armored car. After a brief exchange of information, some reports and orders, the men inside the cars disembarked and began taking up refuge near a large building, which he had designated the HQ. It was surrounded by the Namenian armor, with a vehicle on every checkpoint, and a tank nearby. He had set up the mortar team on the roof, and ordered them simply wait until they were needed. "Sergeant, order your men to take up patrols. Keep an eye out for retaliation, and watch for a signal. You'll know it when you see it."

The Militia soldiers, after searching the officials and putting them to work, 20 soldiers began to setup a perimeter with the DEN soldiers. The perimeter went out a little further than the DEN one, mostly to report attackers early. The forces seemed prepared for anything, for the most part. It was about 14:38 when the preparations were completed.

SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN CAMP LADLE AND PORT JENKS...
The combat chinook steamed towards the port, with PDLs and flare countermeasures ready. About 10 soldiers manned the guns, 5 on each side. With 1 TOW and 4 HMGs on each side. The other 20 soldiers would more than likely be deployed onto the ground. "Alright men, we're about 15 minutes away. Hope you fellas are ready." Was heard over the intercom in the chinook. The 20 soldiers not manning guns prepared their MR762s, peacekeeper shotguns, and LSATs. With 5 LSATs, 5 peacekeeper shotgunners, and the rest armed with MR762s. The soldiers then awaited the green light.

PORT JENKS

Ten minutes had passed in anticipation, when a noise was heard in the distance. The militia scouts had come running back to the DEN defense line reporting of an ISAF chopper. The Militia sgt had heard the report, and ordered his soldiers to prepare to lay down fire on the flying machine once it appeared. "Prepare to defend this area men! Today, we become champions!"

After another four minutes, the chopper was revealed to be a combat chinook. The noise was loud, and distinct. The combat chinook unloaded it's rockets first at the defense line. A barrage of 10-15 rockets going straight down the middle but with some rockets flying to the left or right of where the rocket pods were aiming."C'mon stay steady." Said a pilot to himself. The chinook then flew right down the middle of the line, with the soldiers inside firing it's MGs and TOWs. It then circled back after passing. It circled in a massive arc until it was coming from the North West of the port, a drastic change in course. "Prepare to drop off!" Said the pilot over the intercom. The chinook. The pilot was hoping to hover by the docks, let the ramp down, let the soldiers out and go. The chinook was going at a steady speed about 123mph, as it couldn't go fast due to the armor on it.

The second the helicopter was sighted, the troops in the armored cars swiveled their MGs to bear on the massive chopper, and open fired when it came within range. The rockets, being inaccurately fired from such a large, unyielding, and fast moving object, struck the buildings in the area and showered the place with debris and dust, but killed no one. The MGs did very little as well, as nearly everyone was in a large piece of cover, having been previously notified. This all changed after the helicopter turned around, as orders to take care of the aircraft were issued out.

"Get the AA up, NOW! On the roof, first platoon! Mortars, prepare to fire on my command!" Sergey boomed, taking his defensive position inside the main building as the whole company spread out. The two Starstreak MANPEDs units were on the roof of a tall building in no time, and the first one had already obtained a definitive lock on the enemy chopper with the SACLOS and SALH guidance systems, and launched his missile. It accelerated fast, and split into three miniature warheads at Mach 4 while the units guided the missile to the enemy chopper. A second missile was primed and ready to fire when they needed it, but they waited until they saw the damage.

ADF INCOM SR-HK Drone
Present

The drone's "eyes" watched at the combat began began below it. From those unblinking eyes, the images moved to its brain, before being beamed skywards, into orbit, where it met one of SATCOM's orbiting assets. Then, from there, as per the orders given, the live feed was transmitted to two locations. One was SATCOM and be extension, HICOM, and the other was to the JMF. High above, the eyes watch, unblinking. Far away, someone's finger itches to pull trigger on the weapons carried inside the SR-HK's internal weapons bay.

"Militia forces and unknowns have engaged an ISAF helicopter. Combat just started, and it doesn't look like it will end well for chopper, SAMs have been launched."

Another analyst counters the initial report. "ISAF aircraft carry extensive arrays of countermeasures, both active hard-kill and sensor defeating. The result is up in the air at this time."

Another individual adds more information. "All units involved which are detectable have been marked on the tactical map and display. Do we need to tell the Admiral?"

The first analyst again. "The Admiral has a live feed of the action right now, as well as a feed of the map and display, he knows what's going on."

"Must be tough, knowing we're just supposed to sit here and watch while all this is happening," the second says.

"Nah, didn't you hear? They're sending one of the detachments out here," the first says."

"God damn it, shut up about that. You know how high that stuff is supposed to be kept locked up," the third hisses, glancing around room. He calls slightly when he sees it's empty of all but intelligence personnel. "Yeah, they're coming, supposedly to go in country and start messing around like they do," he says in a hushed tone."

"Shit... I feel sorry for whoever's on the receiving end..."

The chopper continued to steam onward, like nothing was heading towards them. "Keep steady-" the chopper's back rotor exploded suddenly, and completely blew off from the missiles, killing more than half the chopper's crew in the back and disabling the ramp. Cutting off the only way of escape. "WE'RE GOIN DOWN!!" The chinook slammed hard into the water, drowning or killing anyone inside on impact.

CAMP LADLE CC

"Oh my god.." Said the colonel of Ladle as he watched the footage from a UAV nearby. "Sir, I suggest another counter attack. This time with attack choppers, an aurora pre-strike, a raptor pre-strike, and a ground force consisting of 50 ground troops and 2 paladin tanks." Said the intel officer as the colonel watched to footage. "Alright. Make it happen. We can't allow them to have access to the port."

PORT JENKS

The Militia soldiers cheered as the chinook went down. "We've beat them back!" "That's what happens when you mess with us!" "No.." Said the sergeant. "That's not the last of them... Prepare for a other counter-attack. It could be today, tomorrow, next week. But we need to be ready."

Port Jenks

"Rack that up as a kill for me, boys." Nabakov grinned, and set about reloading his Starstreak, giving a cheer for the kill. It was, so far, the best he had done, and most likely the one with the most deaths in it.

"Private Nabakov! Good job, soldier!" Captain Sergey shouted, and gave a thumbs up from the ground. The private grinned and nodded, and then looked back up in the sky as the Captain began his rounds. "Alright, boys! This won't be it! Everyone, dig in! I'm sending a request for covering fire if need be. Hold your ground, stay in cover! Comrade Corporal! Bring me radio!"

"Roger that, sir!" The corporal shouted, and handed the Captain a microphone. He picked it up, and dialed the frequency for HQ, the base, and began speaking.

"Adolfsburg, Adolfsburg, this is Leningrad. Requesting immediate assistance on standby, grid (_______). Over."

"Leningrad, this is Adolfsburg. We read you. MR-17 on standby."

*****

Militia Fort

The MR-17 rolled into the complex, surrounded by an Interceptor Dome, and a radar station. The large, powerful MLRS was guarded closely by the soldiers surrounding it, and it's mounted launcher began turning to aim at the port, slowly but surely.

2 comanches, 2 paladins, 4 king raptor, 3 auroras, 50 soldiers, and 4 chinooks were scrambled for the counter attack.
Aboard the carrier, raptors took off two by two, and circled until all 4 were ready to go. Same went for the auroras, they circled as they waited for eachother. The paladins were hooked up to two chinooks as the soldiers loaded up into the other two. The comanches waited for the other chinooks to take off before they did.
Once the soldiers were loaded up into the two chinooks, the chinooks took off and formed up with the other two chinooks. The comanches took off and formed up as well. The force headed towards the port. The jets and auroras hung back, as they would attack once they reached a certain distance.

Militia Fort

The aircraft showed up nearly immediately on the makeshift radar station the soldiers had put up, and the officers all swore. Eleven aircraft heading right for the port... And they couldn't do anything to stop them. They had a choice here, and they had decided to stay quiet. But that didn't mean they couldn't inform them, Heinrich decided.

"Leningrad, this is Adolfsburg. Negative on the air suppression. I repeat, negative on air suppression. Eleven aircraft heading to your position." The soldier replied on the radio, at the order of the Colonel. The man swore again and again.

"Damn! We don't have enough AA.... Fuck!" Heinrich swore, and sighed. "Hang in there..."

*****

"Fuck! Goddammit, Adolfsburg!" Sergey swore, and slammed his fist against the wall. Eleven fucking aircraft! What a wonderful day. And all they could do was hide.

"Sir?" A lieutenant asked, standing nearby him with his platoon inside the HQ.

"Eleven aircraft inbound. They switched to passive to hide themselves, but unless they're under attack, they're not firing." The captain explained. "Order everyone into the basements until this bombardment passes. Try to hide the armor, but don't... Do NOT, put any one in danger needlessly. Let's go. Get a move on."

The Lieutenant nodded, and turned to his platoon. The order went out on the closed comms, and within a minute, the soldiers were spreading out into the basements of various buildings, taking their armor and putting them inside the parking garages. For now. They would defend from those positions until they could get out into the open.
The beatings will continue. Regardless of morale.

The auroras were the first to hit the position, they dropped 2,000 lb bombs on specific positions and buildings. The building where the AA cane from, and suspected foritified ground positions. Sending shipping crates, crates, bags, whatever wasn't strapped to the ground flying. Once the auroras had dropped their payload they began to RTB. "This is viper lead, all jets use guns only. We're only gun running this time. We'll hang after we gun run. Now form up." The king raptor formed into an V formation and descended, and fired on the same posititions, excluding the building, that the auroras had hit. Once they had gun runned all the way to the water, they re ascended and began to circle at 1,500ft. The comanches then moved in, and patrolled the area. "Nothing here... Where did they go?" Said a pilot. "They must've taken cover somewhere, keep your eyes peeled." The comanches waited another ten minutes. "All right, deploy ground forces. We'll sit here and watch for contacts." "Roger that." The chinooks deployed the paladins and roped in the foot soldiers about 500ft away from the port. The ground force formed up and cautiously approached the port.

The troops held the ground positions in the basements valiently, having already denied the enemy the opportunity to destroy them in one hit. Now the fighting was going to get worse for the enemy, and in a way they wouldn't expect. The AA units, using their MANPADS, had moved around the city during the lull, and set up elsewhere. Now, two starstreaks rocketed out of the city towards the Comanches, riding the lasers to their target at Mach 4. Having launched, the launchers moved on, and waited for the missiles to impact.

Due to the starstreaks having to be guided, and since the crew abandoned the guiding, as soon as the comanches moved slightly as they patrolled, the missiles flew past them, unguided. "Whoa. Crap." "That was close." "Ground team, watch for any missiles in the air. If you see any headed towards us warn us, we don't wanna go down out here." "Roger that air."
The ground team continued to move in closer, and closer. "Freakin ghost town." "They're here... Just wait." The paladins had ther PDLs ready, ready to zap any rocket or missile that might threaten the ground team. While the infantry kept their rifles up, scanning the area as the moved forward in an inverted V formation around the paladins.
