The cause of the conflict. I'd say revolution turned civil war sounds good, if nobody objects or has a better idea.
After that, probably ORBATs for the sides. Then we figure out where their forces are. Then we all pick sides, prep ORBATs, and get down to business.
Also, quick questions:
- What's the scale on that map?
- Is that all of the country on the map (i.e. the borders of it are borders with other nations)?
- Should we have an app for this? (I'd advocate for yes, just in a "we need this simple information before you start" sense.)
- Do we want to open this to non-PW people, or only allow PW people? (I'm fine either way.)

So here's a little thing. Why not have it START as an OP, it gets messy, and some people have to evac, and then the war starts from there. At least it explains involvement. And it could even be started by me, by actually putting troops there before any of this starts.

I like that idea. How about we set up the general conflict (which is a mess and everyone wants to stay out of), then create a critical incident which causes some group (DeN or TFA, probably) to send in special forces, which then drags in the rest of the world.
This whole "spec ops operation gone wrong" thing should be covered and wrapped up in the first post or two, though. We don't want to get bogged down in it.

TFA probably. DEN will be already in the city, I suppose. It could even be a place CLOSE to DEN, even, or close to either you or Creatle.

I would say that Creatle Mainland is located off map, not far but about 75 km off shore. I also need a name for this nation that is going to erupt in war? Any (sensible) Sugestions?

Firstly - The scale of the map is...well..im not sure but considering its a war its fairly large. I will actually look into it.
Secondly - No this is just where the main battles will take place, their is an airbase to the south where TFA forces are being deployed at.
Thirdly - Im not sure about the applications yet, maybe but ill see where it goes
Lastely - Preferably not, this is a large scale war, probably the biggest TFA is going to have, I wouldnt want Powergaming idiots to ruin it.

Re: Secondly - I'd rather the map included everywhere people could be fighting. Otherwise we're restricting IC actions because we can't find a large enough map OOC. I'm fine if we make this map a zoomed-in map of the front-lines of the civil war, and then find a bigger map to show the whole country.
Re: Lastely [sic] - I don't think there are enough quality RPs on II that are open to well-intentioned new nations. I'd be willing to patrol for and deal with powergaming idiots, if that's the only reason for keeping this closed.Die erworbenen Namen wrote:(not!)DENPuppetistanTM

Hale Isles is an island*. It even says so in the nation's signature. Also, it already has a map, and I'm very proud of its map. And all** its citizens are happy enough with the current government system that they'd rather not have a civil war over it right now***.

What I mean is that there is no need to include the rest of the map, all the IC interactions will happen here, Fort Hannah is the air base that TFA is being deployed in, enemy forces would have only established a beach head and all.

Oh, so we're doing a one nation vs all other nations war?

The Party does come into power, however, in a different light. DEN leaks a piece of info regarding a coup being planned by the Party, and we alert the leader, but make it look like it came from the Party. As such, the task force is sent in.
Upon entering, the Task Force attacks "hostile targets" (real people attempting a coup, by the way), and it ends with the leader being safe. Until he is executed by the Namenian Force tasked with getting him out. The Task Force comes under heavy fire from both the Namenain foot soldiers, and Party soldiers, and the Namenian force takes heavy casualties, while some of the Task Force members escape.
That's where the issue comes in.

So, your intelligence knew of the March 16th attack, warned the government by making it look like the revolutionaries were warning the government, the government didn't attempt to stop it, TFA sends in a group to the capital to get the president out, revolutionaries and Namien soldiers attack the TFA group, and then the war starts because TFA was ambushed?
I don't understand. Why are we rescuing the president rather than responding to the Nova's Castle expo attack? Is there a coup happening in the capital at the same time as the Nova's Castle expo attack, or should the president visit the expo at Nova's Castle? Why are the Namien soldiers firing at TFA troops? Why are the revolutionaries, who hate foreign meddling, okay with Namien infantry abruptly joining their ranks? I'm fine with changes, but I'm not sure what you're suggesting here.
