A PUBLIC COMMUNIQUE FROM THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF TOPKEKKIA
The People's Republic of Topkekkia publicly condemns the Waldreichian attacks on mosques in Ethiopia. If this continues, we will have no recourse but to shoot down Waldreichian planes attempting to continue these barbaric actions.

Greetings, old friends. We are pleased you have joined us in this fight. We are currently undertaking a massive offensive in the West, leaving our Northern border with the rebels weak. We would appreciate if you could land in Eritrea and march down, coming into rebel territory from behind. Meanwhile our own troops could attack from the south, in a pincer movement. I am petitioning the government for more troops to win this war.
Sincerely,

As the Capileans had arrived, the troops knew drastic measures were needed. Canisters of sarin were thrown into the fray, and the troops began to fall back, seeking to draw the Capileans and Spektronians out of their little fortress. Of course, the maneuver served a different purpose as well. As the troops retreated, several cruise missile strikes were called in on the hostile forces, about thirty in total.

OOC: Spektronian troops are not effected by gaseous weapons because they all have specialized masks.
As you see here, the sturmkorps as well as the national soldiers have the masks.

Though we don't believe that such a thing as a war crime exists, as war itself is brutality and all means should be used to end it quickly short of nuclear and biological strikes, the Waldreichians must be stopped from killing civilians over something as petty as a religious feud. If these actions continue, we will be forced to battle Waldreich. I'm sure even the Capileans would stay out of that, considering the prior actions of Waldreich against them.

To steady and ensure stability in the Ethiopian sector, we request the granting of our aid and, should tensions continue, a contingent of peacekeeping forces. The Alliance extends its arms to you, offering cooperation and assistance should relations remain cordial and mutually beneficial in nature. Should you accept our offer of assistance, the expansion of trade and deals in the foreseeable future can be negotiated. For the time being, however, the Allied Council will remain in its current phase of assistance, humanitarian aid. Should extra clearance, however, be granted, various Oesterran vehicles can be lend-leased or sold to bolster your nation's ability to maintain stability in the region.

IC:
Battle of New Cologne, Greater Ethiopia
The Stoßschutz troops reeled back as the enemy began using gas attacks. A few had brought their clumsy masks, and wrestled to secure them on their heads. The rest were given desperate orders by their officers, who yelled at them through the forest, which was twice as hard to see through with the clouds of gas. About eighty of the brave troops stood and fought, with their gas masks now obscuring their faces. The rest began to fall back, covering their noses and mouths with cloth or their hands as the fought through the forest.
The remaining troops gave a hurrah as they saw Spektronian reinforcements parachuting out of the back of the big aircraft. Capilean fighter jets whizzed above the battlefield, intercepting the enemy aircraft when they could and firing down at the retreating Topekkian troops. The troops which had retreated fell back towards the city, hoping to grab their masks and reinforcements and set up a new defensive line should the enemy break through.
Meanwhile, Mekdem's troops had reached the outskirts of the city. They waited to strike in the undergrowth, but their Warlord insisted they wait for Topekkia to respond to a message he had sent by courier through the dense jungle where there would be no patrols. He ran up to the Topekkian drop site, panting and looking desperately for an officer. When he finally found one, he walked over and gave him the message, before collapsing in a heap.
West Ethiopia, Islamic Ethiopia
Fighters that were painted the same as their once loyal allies buzzed overhead, destroying the sacred places of worship with their bombs and slaughtering hundreds. Screams drowned out even the hum of the jets as people stampeded across the city into shelters. General Bahta Teshome looked in horror from the now shattered window of the old, rundown police station turned government house. "Are... Are those our allies?' he thundered to the other officers gathered in his office. "Yes General," one replied nervously. Teshome's eyes narrowed. "Send a message to Mekdem. We are going to war."
Capilean troops had been halted by fresh Argentinian forces, but the damage was done; Rechina and the lands around it had been secured. They decided to prepare a new defensive line, with 90,000 Stoßschutz and 45,000 colonial troops stationed along the new line. Meanwhile, 130,000 Stoßschutz troops had been gathered for a new offensive north in cooperation with the New Mushroom Kingdom...
Enemy Air Base, Near Jacobstown
The personnel of the airfield near Jacobstown were relaxed. Most of them were asleep at one in the morning. The Ethiopia troops crept silently through the jungle surrounding the base. An officer raised his sword. "NOW!" he shouted. Thousands of rage-filled Ethiopians poured out of the jungle, storming the airstrips in minutes. Both organized troops and mobs, they poured out of the dense undergrowth never-endingly, armed with both machine guns and melee weapons. They had vowed to take ten Waldreichian lives for every one that they had killed in their airstrikes. The Africans fought with a rage that gave them all the strength they needed. The enemy watched as they were shot and didn't even seem to care; they just kept going. They massacred all they found, sleeping or awake. Within minutes the airstrips were empty except for the dead; the Ethiopians left no wounded and took no prisoners. They had by now infiltrated the inside of the base, and a bloodbath ensued.
Rainees, Greater Ethiopia
Rudolf nodded, and shook hands with the major, then lead him out of the building. Within half an hour a long motorcade of military vehicles and civilian cars and trucks, with mattresses, boxes, and various other objects tied atop them, were ready to leave. A horde of civilians, black and white, who knew they would be persecuted for the color of their skin or religion, along with soldiers, were on foot, holding personal belongings as well. The Lt. Colonel turned around one last time to the officer he had negotiated with. "Thank you, sir, for seeing reason in all this bloody conflict," he said sincerely, smiling at his counterpart. Just as he finished his sentence, a volley of gunfire and screams, both warlike and frightened, blared at once.
The officers whirled around to see hundreds of Ethiopian troops and "irregulars" streaming through the streets; they were joined by black civilians who were loyal to the rebellion. They ran into the motorcade, guns blazing, slaughtering any man, woman or child that they saw. Dead bodies and blood littered the streets. It was a massacre.
New Dusseldorf
Walther was feeling down. He hadn't seen his family for weeks, since flights to Central, Northern, and Southern Ethiopia had been cancelled. They were supposed to come out to see him next week. That bolstered him a bit. He returned to his work, stroking back his light blond hair and reviewing the telegrams which had reached him. The first was from a powerful alliance of nations which would like to establish good relations and trade partnerships with the Duchy in order to quell the rebellion in Ethiopia. He had already read that, and had received the Duke's permission to accept it. The next was from the New Mushroom Kingdom, which had accepted his ideas. He would prepare ports in Eritrea for them. Finally, he penned a response for the Alliance of Free Republics over his lobster dinner. To: The Alliance of Free Republics Council

Official message of Tangaliro
This is an official TESU member's message.
An invitation of peace conference
We noticed the increase in brutality and cruelty of both sides' combat methods in the conflict, and would like to contribute on preventing these from further happening. Therefore,we would like to invite both sides, including Nova Capile,USN members and other belligerents to Ravenfall, where a peace conference will be held regarding how to resolve this tension on a peaceful mean.
If this invitation is rejected by the majority of the belligerents,Tangaliro will have no choice but to send in humanitarian aids and peace keepers along with a large protection force to reduce the impact of the war on the locals.
At last,we wish both sides to consider bringing the matter onto the negotiation table.
Sincerely from,
Tangaliroan government
“In the practical art of war, the best thing of all is to take the enemy's country whole and intact; to shatter and destroy it is not so good. So, too, it is better to recapture an army entire than to destroy it, to capture a regiment, a detachment or a company entire than to destroy them. Hence to fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting.”-Sun Tzu

I am pleased we are getting along, General. This telegram should be succeeded by two battalions of Stoßschutz paratroops, which have come fully prepared for the battle with gas masks, along with two additional squadrons of fighters. This should be enough, along with your indomitable troops, to finally drive the enemy out of our territory.

Walther was just finishing his dinner as Anton Rehn opened the door and deposited a telegram on his desk. As he finished chewing, he looked up from the report he was reading and at Rehn. "What is this?" he asked as he forked another bite of lobster into his mouth. "It's from the Spektronian forces, sir," Rehn replied mechanically. Walther waved him away and snatched the telegram, ripping it open with his penknife. He read the neat note and forked up a last bite of the delicious crustacean. Wiping his mouth and hands with his napkin, he set it on his plate and pushed the plate to the edge of his desk.
He was happy the Spektronian commander was getting along with him, and decided he would send some more forces in to finally tip the balance. After he quickly penned a note, he wrote new orders to his troops and retired to his quarters. To: Generalleutnant Marko Kestenbaum

Sure enough, five massive dropships with a force of 360 Stoßschutz paratroops, escorted by sixteen fighters, were steaming towards the battle. They were prepared for the battle with gas masks. Along with the troops were five armored personal carriers, each with a small turret and heavy machine gun. As well, crates full of additional ammo, rations, and heavy equipment such as mortars, gas canisters, heavy machine guns, flamethrowers, and more barricades. These were planned to be dropped behind allied lines.
New Cologne
A rusty pickup truck, its ancient blue paint chipping off, rattled up the paved road leading into the city. A Capilean guard leaned out of his post and walked in front of the security checkpoint. The truck rolled to a halt, and the guard walked up to it, two more just behind him. He reached the window and saw an elderly black man inside, wearing patched overalls. "Sir, are you looking to go into the city?' he asked politely, brushing his light brown hair back under his fatigue cap. "Yessir," the man answered slowly. "I come up from Gladstone, looking to sell my crop." Sure enough, the back of the truck was loaded with corn.
The soldier nodded. It was the harvest season, after all. "Alright, well, we'll just have to search the vehicle. Don't be alarmed, it's just a mandatory security measure," the guard said calmly. The other two had circled around the truck. The old man's eyes widened in alarm. Suddenly he took off at top speed, throwing the men to the ground. The old truck burst through the arm gates, sending splinters everywhere. The soldiers sprang to their feet running after the truck. "Stop sir! STOP!" It was too late the truck screeched through the city, slamming into the brick city hall. As soon as it hit the building a massive explosion flattened it, knocking the guards back down.
When they rose, they saw half of the city hall gone; the truck had been completely disintegrated. Bricks and chunks of metal rained down. Half the city was on fire, and car alarms blared across the city. Screams began to join them, as did sirens as the police, medical and fire forces sprang into action. The guards, tears streaming down their face, were unsure what to do. "A suicide bomber," one said remorsefully. 'What a waste of-" He was interrupted by a sudden burst of machine gun fire and a tidal wave of cheers. They turned to see a mass of Ethiopian troops screaming towards them. A decorated veteran in a tribal uniform lead them. Even as his comrades were cut down, the last guard took aim at him and fired; the man crumpled to the ground. He died knowing he had helped his country massively.
