The NS Draftroom is where anyone goes to design their guns, planes, tanks, ships (etc), talk about weapons, technology and, as well, general RPs. As well as the forum the NS Draftroom has also lent its name to the famous “#draftroom” IRC channel that has, consistently, been ranked in the top 5 most active channels on the Esper.net server. Although not, strictly ‘design’ orientated (indeed, the draftroom strives to be an active room for all discussion topics, both RR IC, Designing and random OOC), the #draftroom Community (also known as #d) is a varied bunch and has spawned a whole host of other sub communities throughout NationStates and IRC.
The Community, is old, with members stretching back to 2003 and despite various myths, is welcoming to newcomers. Although I’m not affiliated with either the creator of the original site, the current runner, the IRC channel or anything else, I was looking at II and realised I hadn’t seen the recruitment thread bumped in a while, so I decided to make my own.

How to get on:
Select Esper.net as your server (under File-Options for mIRC, for port put 6667; for Chatzilla, type /server irc.esper.net), then, after connecting, type /join #draftroom to join the IRC chat!
