This morning Charles de Gaulle has officially declared support for the New Canada Republic in their Civil War against the Republic of Kanada.
250,000 members of the old Foreign Legion of Quebec have been transported to Quebec on a total of 800 naval craft. A referendum has been sent to GreatestBanks stating that if their navy interacts in any way with the 800 ships in the Helenstedian Atlantic Navy than the war will escalate into a larger conflict between the two superpowers. The Foreign Legion of Quebec, fresh on the shores of Quebec, will be joined with the New Canadian Republic's military of 200,000 soldiers and a detachment of the Prussian SS (50,000 strong) ultimately creating a fighting force of 500,000 soldiers in a joint Canadian-Prussian-Helenstedian army.
Quebec has been named a Helenstedian province, and the rest of the NCR a Holy Roman Protectorate of Prussia and Helensted to provide stability until the end of the conflict that lies ahead.
Following independence of French Guiana in 1920, its economy has been suffering tremendously. The Governor of French Guiana, by a popular petition commissioned by the people of French Guiana, has signed the reunification with the French motherland, and is now once again a province in the French Helenstedian Union.
