ULE City
"Hah! The Khan Empire has pretended that they have defeated us. What fools." said Maximilian
"But sir, they have killed more of our men!"
"The land they have captured is horrible for defending, we have shot down most of the dreadnoughts and killed a quarter of the Augments. With their military still rebuilding, we can afford to lose 100 times more then them, while every man or machine they lose brings them closer to the edge. Get the men to dig in. Also, set up underground detectors in case of tunnels. Warn Wardomian High Command as well."

Spasticasia
As ULE 160mm auto cannons whirred into action, the Enemy was decimated. The healing faculties of the enemy had no effect when there was nothing left to heal. As ULE planes surged the Dreadnoughts, one by one, they were brought down.

Air Fortress Mosley
The Khan Empire was a useful ally to have. A nation which always somehow found itself at the center of major conflict was a great client for an arms manufacturer. However, since Wardomia had set its navy near his seas, Sittlelator had considered cutting off Khan. The Continent needed to remain safe above all, even the Sittlelator-Khan Pact. Either way, the delivery of fifty Behemoths would have to wait until the conflict was resolved, to avoid antagonising Wardomia further.

The vision of the Imperium technological future was getting more clear by the hour. With the Great Mechanization, the machine had already been acknowledged as supreme for the Imperium's purposes. The next logical step would be to integrate machine and man, since East Niphilate's sheer industrial capacity made it far more logical to stick parts on to its massive army than to train every cadet. A few cybernetic eye, brain and limb implants were undergoing testing. If successful, they could drastically improve the quality of each soldier.

Another big project was the Quanta-Spider. Designed to reduce profile, ground pressure whilst increasing firepower, the Quanta S had a lot of expectations to fulfill. It was designed to be at its best in environments that tanks would normally suffer in, like urban environments and soft ground. The theory had pretty much been completed but manufacture was still some way away, though a few early models had been sent over to Base Kronos...

OOC:
I call foul. You did not state how you did it. All battles should be part of the post with clear explanations of what exactly you did. Until you edit your post, it will be ignored. Also, you can't just shoot down a dreadnought or Augment so easily. Dreadnoughts are armoured and Augments have greater healing faculties. You would need to have exhausted a great deal of ammunition to have killed so many. Same for dreadnoughts.

The Monolith
A priority one message blipped across the Supreme Commander's display. His army of webcrawlers brought him critical information from the depths of the Deep Web.

A nation had made progress in the area advanced robotics as well. An area where, until to date, the Isle of DarkSlide was on the bleeding edge.

Nathaniel frowned. The post identified East Niliphate. They had just completed a restructuring akin to what the Isle had done, calling it the Great Mechanization. Although, he noted, it wasn't to the scale or advancement of the Isle's own industries.

Bio-mechanics, cybernetic implants on soldiers as well. East Niliphate was just scratching the surface of mechanization.

Perhaps it would yet be some time before this state, despite its status as a regional superpower, came to fully realize the potential of the Machine.

The Supreme Commander smiled. In the dimly lit command area, his eyes glinted with an almost inhuman light.

The Fortress
"Sir, the Darkslide engineers have arrived. They are awaiting further orders."
"Good. Speed up research on all cyber-related weapons and projects. I want to make sure we are the best."

Barsky
As Pastzerkoloun racked his brains and his devices for information and inspiration, he started doing some mathematical equations for fun. While scrolling through his screen, he came to a detailed paper on Quantum bits. He immediately got to work. Just a few hours later, he smiled. Wardomia will rule the internet as well as the waves with this new technology. He passed his information higher up the chain, to the Generalfeldmarschall.

OOC
Darkslide, Please be reminded that you have expressed interest in your new infrastructure being installed in Wardomia. Also, the new info is transmitted via a closed system that is not linked to the internet.

Press Conference
In light of Recent Occurrences, We would like to request that a Conference be held two days hence with regards to Spasticasia and a separate diplomatic meeting between East Niphilate and us.

8 March 89 APW

Gallifrey New War High Command, undisclosed location

Tancredi frowned. The situation had escaped so much further. Under the Pandorica Alliance, Gallifrey was obliged to render aid to Wardomia. "Send a message to the Lord High President. Pertwee must know."

Addressing a parade of the 78th Battalion, Tancredi raised his voice. "As of today, I, Supreme Precept of the War Council, defender and protecter of Gallifrey, Caellun Chapterate, endorse your mandate to act on behalf of the Pandorica Alliance. Today, there will be bloodshed, there will be chaos, but let that not put you off your goal: to aid Wardomia in the war efforts!"

The crowd cheered wildly, chanting "Wardomia"

Tancredi smiled. "Should the Khan Empire attack Wardomia, they will face harsh repercussions. I just hope that they, as our allies too, will not be stupid enough to push us to act against them.

Gallifrey High Council

"United lands of Earth has gone too far! We have reinforced the lighting brigade and the frontal infantry." Capaldi stated. "However, should we be attacked, the air trenches will not hold. We shall deploy the ironsides to the south, the imperial guard to the west, and station the battleships along the river. Should we be attacked, we will stand!"

"The Khan Empire may also be a threat, as well as Capala Sword." Romana interjected.

"We have delivered assistance to Spasticasia." Scarlioni informed the High Council. "They should be able to withstand the onslaught from United lands."

"Foolish idiots! When will they realise that Capala Sword is now mostly peaceful?" Pertwee raged.

Telegram Centre, The Panopticon

Dear Khan, let us deal with this matter. Stand down and withdraw your troops, until we have further discussions. I can't be assured that you are acting for the good of the Cyberius.
Jon

Dear Alberto, we have amassed a huge army, and would use it should the situation escalate. You have greater ties with Maximilian than us. Please attempt to convince him to stand down. I am convinced of Capala Sword's good intentions.
Jon

Dear Maximillian, please stand down and withdraw your troops from the sovereign Capala States. They have done nothing to merit a hostile incursion. Failure to withdraw by 36 hours will result in a Gallifreyan declaration of war against your nation. I sincerely hope that we can put an end to this conflict peacefully. Negotiations should commence first before war.

The Bovine Conglomerate

The shields were down, the enemy was advancing, and the outer layer of temples had been destroyed. Lakshmi looked helplessly out of the window and bombs rained down across the once beautiful terrain. United Lands of Earth would pay for this. Gallifrey had already sent assistance, however the Gallifreyan troops had not yet entered the area of the battle.

Rudolf Himmler lay on a bed. After his teleportation away from Marethyu, he had become weaker. Lakshmi knew that it took about a week to recover from mental teleportation, and a week was far from over. It looked as if all would be lost if the Conglomerate did not receive help. This was the headquarters of the moderate Capala Sword! They didn't even have a huge army, all they had were a few inexperienced soldiers. Spasticasia would not hold for much longer.

Himmler Castle

Marethyu drummed his fingers on the desk. It would be long before ULE would destroy the Cult of the Fiend too. The only solution was to send reinforcements to the Bovine Conglomeration. Perhaps the Cult of Bos and the Cult on the Fiend could still find a common ground.

"Dispatch the troops!" roared Marethyu into the PA system.

9 March 89 APW

Freedomy troops moved into Spasticasia, giving the struggling Gallifreyan troops a boost. ULE, however, was very strong, and soon soldiers on both sides began to fall. The Bovine Conglomerate, the capital itself, had very nearly been captured.

Colon and the ministers were troubled. How could this be happening? After a brief respite of peace, the region was at war again. As a member of the Pandorica Alliance, Communal Commons had to render aid.

The Bovine Conglomerate, Spasticasia

9 March APW

The situation had worsened by the time the common reinforcements had arrived. ULE had almost wrecked the conglomerate. Out of the 100,000 Gallifreyan troops which had been sent to give assistance, only less than half remained. As the enemy advanced relentlessly, the soldiers took up defensive positions, preparing themselves for possible defeat. The siege could only, at this rate, last a maximum of another week.

ULE City
"Push Into the capital and smash your way to the beaches." After that, Cease Fire."
"Yes, your majesty."

Spasticasia
The call of the bugle sounded, and the 1st Tank Division smashed down at the last bridgehead. The enemy cracked and ran. Planes flew over, smashing UFR tanks. Defeat was ensured for the terrorists.
As ULE Troops overran the rest of the troops, they captured the remaining with scarcely a shot fired. The Gallifreyians were granted safe passage back.

Press Conference
"A week ago, we would have withdrawn the troops without a second thought. However, UFR is attacking together with Spasticasia. The most we would be willing to consider is a partial withdrawal."

My fellow Pandoricans, I would like to create a motion to condemn ULE. They attacked a peaceful Capala state and committed mass genocide of the peaceful Zabists. They even attacked the Gallifreyans who stood in defence of the Zabists. And when confronted about their actions, they continued to proclaim the terrorist activities of Capala Sword. My friends, those conflicts were resolved long ago and Capala Sword has not conducted any further terrorist attacks. For these reasons, I would like to move to Condemn ULE.

Air Fortress Mosley

Kraan picked up his laptop and began typing again. He felt that there might be a time to go underground again, and he needed to complete his manifesto so Malek could at least have a reference to maintain not just the PD, but his massive store of political connections and co-conspirators.

The advancement of a State cannot be conducted at the optimal rate alone... Every state has its own technological developments, its own slice of the tech pie. However, for the best performance, we need to have a finger in everyone's slice of the pies... Wardomian jet collaborations, Takkal Pietet research, Khan defensive measures... These are necessary to maintain a true superpower status... Economic autarky like Wardomia or technological independence like DarkSlide will only lead to deep national specialisations, unable to adjust when doctrine demands it to... Wardomia would not be able to shift power to mining if they continue to disregard the powerful Khan mining culture, and DarkSlide can only make its internet connection that much quicker if the war paradigm shifts from conventional to orbital (Damocles) and Pietet based.

...In situations such as a favourable position within the power equation, it is advantageous not to keep that power equation, but to utilise that favourable position to promote pluralism in the lower ranks. It is not necessary to be on top, but it is necessary to prevent the formation of hostile coalitions and alliances. To this end, power is but a resource to be used for the greater advantage. If a clear doctrine is in place, the long game belongs to you.

There was little question in the Imperator's mind that he would eventually have to meet with the rising power of DarkSlide. Since the Great Mechanization had been announced to the International Community some time ago, there had been much progress, but sheer infrastructural might had been frustratingly poor in comparison to the Isle. Still, a question bothered him. What did DarkSlide want?
We see that like us, you have ignored the petty conflicts and wars for the most part in pursuit of greater internal growth. We should collaborate to further each other's ambitions.

Ascalon Tower
The Emperor was worried. He had recently seen much trouble for being aggressive. This was the last straw. He was pulling out from the bipolarity that had affected the region for so long.

Press statement
Khan will no longer participate in the bipolarity that has affected Wardomia and the Imperium for so long. The Khan-Wardomian peace treaty still stands, although we request for the removal of their base. The Khan-Sittleator alliance also holds. Khan will continue to produce military technology, but we will no longer act with aggression towards anyone as long as the action in question does not have a negative impact on Khan, it's neighbours or both. We will instead, be happy to trade with other countries.

Board of Intelligence HQ
Minister Liandra had just received an email from the Emperor. He wanted to ramp up internal development. She sighed. As if her job wasn't hard enough...

Condemnation of ULE
Khan will aid Gallifrey if necessary, but will not currently intervene unless the ULE forces cross the first segment of the nation. The reason simply being as doing so would put a hostile force at Khan's doorstep.

OOC-ish admin stuff: Wardomia, yeah I remember we agreed for my guys to set up a variant of the photon data transfer array in your nation. Will it be a nationwide network or select industries? For clarity's sake, yours will be the stable, commercial release - and subject to customisation to your nation's needs. The base release will be commercially available for any other state interested.

The version I have installed in my state is iterative, as we are constantly trying to improve the network, and can't guarantee stability. We'll just assume these T&Cs were worked out previously.

The Monolith
The Supreme Commander watched as the previous priority-1 message, dissolved into a message from the Niphilate.

The Nifilats desired an audience. Likely, they were mining for the secrets of DarkSlidean technology. Based on the publicly available information, Nathaniel was unsure of Niphilate's true motivations or the extent of their discoveries.

At present, they did not pose too much of a threat on the technology front. Perhaps a research agreement might be beneficial for both sides to advance each other's knowledge of the sciences. And each other.

Krann, your offer intrigues us. Indeed, the conflict without has granted us the space and time to break new frontiers. It is in exciting times we live in, we do not know what we do not know.

May we inquire what areas is East Niphilate keen to collaborate on? Understandably, some fields where we've had breakthroughs are more sensitive than others.

The Khan Empire supports the ULE's decision to withdraw, but demands a demilitarised zone in the segment of Spasticasia where Khan had previously occupied during the ULE invasion. The area will be referred to as the Craw.

The government of Khan would also like to announce it's space program and nuclear development program. The space program will focus on the development of spaceships that are capable of maintaining a sustained voyage to the adjacent planet by the end of the year while the nuclear development will focus on creating engines for said ships for the purpose of creating enough energy to sustain the voyage.

10 March 89

General Ridley gagged on his tea while reading the morning papers in his suburban house near the city of Reine. Just on the other side of the Spastic River, he could see smoke rising.

Bookies were again citing the possibility of another Pavensky War. The last time they were as excited was during the Nifilat Crisis.

On the table before him lay a large, tattered book with yellowed pieces of paper sticking out. Tucked away inside were his not-so-grand plans for the defence of the Random Empire.

The nation's army of 1.6 million was a lrge enough number for anyone, but it would not take more than a few massive battles to finish them off. Not when the Random Empire was still stuck in 40 APW in the arms race.

His defence strategy, in the event of an invasion (which was quite possible, given the current situation), centred on a fighting retreat - small, coordinated groups moving swiftly to carry out guerrilla attacks on a large advancing army and working to isolate and destroy small bunches of invaders.

That was the idea. Run in, blow up, run away, repeat. What the Random Armed Forces lacked in size and numbers, they would have to make up for in speed and mobility. And destructiveness, perhaps.

General Ridley tucked the book under his arm. A short walk took him down to the riverbank, where he would spend the day inspecting minefields, barbed wire and little holes in the ground.

Press Statement
In a historic move, the Random Empire has condemned the attacks on Spasticasia and Grapentina. This is the first time in this decade that it has publicly taken a firm stand on an international issue.

Even more historically, it was the first time in living memory that Parliament was in unanimous agreement on something - anything for that matter. For MP Alexis Vaelonsa, this day marks the first time he stopped criticising everyone's policies and actually stopped to listen. Even the Prime Minister has seen a departure from his Run-Away-And-Hide-From-Everything-You-Can't-Handle-Easily policy.

This statement outlines the shifting attitudes of Random Guys toward foreign policy.

Grapentina

Grapentina had been invaded by ULE. Rubble, dead bodies, and wreckage littered the ground. The city was lifeless and decrepit. A puppet government had been installed, with Maximilian appointing one of his underlings as governor. Grapentina survivors were forced to work in labour camps.

Worst of all, the tiny country had done nothing to deserve such an invasion. It had an almost inexistent military. It had been peaceful and loyal to the Cyberius Confederation. And yet, it had been the first nation to be invaded by a foreign power as the region tilted towards war.

It had also never sympathised with Capala Sword. However, after the ordeal the country had been subjected to, an underground resistance had already, in bitterness, hatred and despair, pledged allegiance to Bovoxow.
