In order to get your energy draining weapon to stop me using the digitiser, you would first have to get it in range, and what was that whole system I had, oh yeah, something has to identify itself in 10 seconds or it is treated as hostile, you wouldn't have gotten it past my defences, also even if you tried to use it, it would be useless, remember faraday cage.

Most importantly they couldn't interact with each other at all. So a caged bot is a isolated bot.

So, these cages are defending bases and stuff. Not troops on the field. Maybe over some weapons but not over the troops.
