This is Marcus Taper from the RWN, giving you more on the Pirate event:

Ever since the beginning of the 2015, there has been an increasing number of attacks in civilian sea vessels in Rynagrian waters, committed by none other than pirates. While considered to be a problem, the frequency of the attacks have been enough to instigate a complete response from the Rynagrian Navy, as most of the confrontations have been resolved peacefully when the passengers gave into the demands of the pirates. However, on Saturday October 23, 2015, container ship 12th Voyage was attacked and sunk by pirates as they ruptured by the hull with Rocket Propelled Grenades. The ship had 30 passengers that day, consisting of 20 crew members and 10 hired security personnel. Out of the 30, 10 have been found dead, 7 out of 30 were rescued by Navy and Coast Guard Response teams, while the last 13 are missing. It has been widely assumed that they have been taken hostage, and the eyewitness accounts of the seven rescued have confirmed this.

Shortly after the event, on Sunday October 24, 2015, President Berkeley gave a terse statement regarding the actions that will be take against the pirates responsible:

"I can only ask for forgiveness for the families of those that have died and missing personnel on board. We have to show these lawless hooligans that their actions have consequences... Consequences that will be brought by our men and women in the Navy and the Marines, who will makes these so-called pirates judgement. In addition, we will also be searching for the missing crew members of the 12th Voyage and do everything in our power to them bring home and safe."

After that, it was publicly declared that the commander of the 4th Rynagria Naval Fleet, Vice Admiral Plum will be creating a International Force lead by him. Among the units, 6th Marine Division's current commander, Major General Shunichi Hirota, have declared that they will be the marine division that will attached to the 4th Rynagrian Naval Fleet.

"God, how long is this trip going to take?" Asked Junior Agent "Daryl", as he continued to look outside the window of the black SUV he rode, the vehicle convoy passing through the night at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour. The Lead Agent of the Night Nine paramilitary unit looking back at him using the rearview mirror, then to the road ahead, still no signs of the city that they were looking for, even though the drones had found it two days ago. The younger only looked around the car, all of them senior agents and only looked back to see the response that he would give, his lungs letting out a sigh of exasperation. For his first field mission, he had hoped that it would have been more involved in shooting, but instead was placed on what he would like to call "intelligence gathering" duty. It was no doubt that it would be used by the Special Forces operators for when they land on the island, help with which buildings to raid and what not. "Everyone here is part of the security detail of Miss Higgins, our arms dealer employer."

"Good, let's make sure that our boys in the navy and marines don't waste time here." Responded Agent "Rick", satisfied with the newer member of the unit.

Upon continuing to drive for an hour, the convoy would finally be stopped by militiamen and be lead to the rogue city. Which would be home to fights for the freedom of the civilians, the missing personnel, and perhaps something more personal. One can only that hope that all would go well, but nothing is set in stone and can change.

Republic of Catalonia Goverment wishes to desploy a naval task force to protect our sea lanes and our lines of comunication with Rynagria.

Republic of Catalonia Navy
Task force 121.1 under command of rear-Admiral Jordi Latorre Grau.
Under his command We will place: 1 LPD which will act as command ship (Mestral), LPH , 4 frigates and 2 corvettes as major combattants, they will be supported by a tender and an oiler. More reinforcements can be called in the area.
• the LPDs carries 3rd Marine Battalion task force and their vehicles.
Our ships carry helicopters and drones. Also our LPH will receive 4 AV8B+ to reinforce it's usual peacetime complement.

Catalan Special Forces teams.
• Ships Will carry a team of navy commandoes for boarding operations. Catalan SBS and SAS regiment Squadrons can be called in case of need.
Our LPDs has received 2 CB90 for SF infiltration and Exfiltration operations.

The Joint Headquarters Staff Will give support priority to this desployment, as it is currently our only non rutinary major international desployment.

Our military advisor staff in our embassy in Rynagria will be the liason among our headquarters.

• Will desploy 25th Wing seapatrol and antisubmarine aircrafts and drones. 5 P295 and 3 CAE UAV Mercuri 900.

The Royal Rocotian Navy (RRN) will move two fleets to "Active" status, the Great Fleet (the fleet that patrols the Great Ocean) and the Queen's Fleet (the fleet that patrols the ocean north of Rocotia.) These fleets will move as many ships as needed to protect the coast of Alma and enforce an embargo. Supplies for coalition forces and the civilian population will be brought in as needed through airlifts conducted by the Logistical Airlift Command (LAC) of the Royal Rocotian Air Force (RRAF) with assistance from the Royal Rocotian Army's (RRA) Transportation Corps. These supplies will be distributed by the RRA's Quartermaster General's Corps. Requests for supplies should be sent to the Quartermaster General's Corps (QMGC), if supplies are not available, requests should be sent to the Logistician's Corps (LGNC), where they will be airlifted and distributed through the QMGC. Turn around time from time of request to final shipment will be NLT 48 hrs. Combat assignments are being decided currently.

Aboard Rocotia's largest, fastest, newest, and most powerful frigate, Lt. Daniel Giehl looked off the railing of the bridge and looked off into the darkness. His crew began to settle in for the night, some sleeping, some preparing to be on standby, others relaxing in the rec rooms and chow halls. Despite his wishes for the Navy to quickly send him a replacement for his recently discharged superiors, he knew he would have to settle in for a long deployment. Two weeks ago, the ships Commanding Officer and Executive Officer had been dishonorably discharged for covering up sexual assault cases onboard. Both of them close to retirement, it seemed as if they had wasted 34 years of their lives. Their absence resulted in the promotion of the ship's third in command, Lt. Giehl the Operations Officer, to Acting CO. With only 5 years experience, the 27 year old wondered how he flew through the ranks so quickly. His near perfect MOAE score, his 4.14 college GPA, and his perfection while in the service seemed to get him places that some officers only dreamed of. He could feel the tension growing, and wondered why the highly populated southern coast was so dark tonight...

Flight Lieutenant Marina Torres was sitting on her desk in Pollença AFB. She had been controling a Long range CAE Sarracen UAV at 25000 ft flying at 115 knts for already more than 4 hours. She confirmed Ground Control she had departed Rynagrian Air Space and was entering Rynagrian EEZ. She was observing the sea and programed the flight towards Alma area coastline. She had her head in anything except the screen she was dull filling her parental leave form, she placed her left hand over her belly, she kept observing the flight parameters and making slight corrections. Wishing her reemplacement arrived, with a cup of milk on her hands. - She was cursing her doctor for banning her Coffee, she would have been killing for an expresso with two sugar spoons. She fixed her brown eyes towards the screen, She played with her hair while she reported again her possition over the sea.

Then she observed a large fishing trawler she instantly placed it on the sensors of the UAV. She got there was something suspicious, as She realizing that the trawler was going a full speed. Using the sensors she observed three speedboats getting closer to it at circa 10kms. And She immediatelly informed the headquarters.

In reality, no one knew what was going to happen tonight, not even the officers who had ordered the mission. Intelligence gained from Night Nine have been given to all military forces involved in the Operation, the 4th Rynagrian Naval Fleet have decided to sail closer to the coast, avoiding the patrolling Mi-24s that fly around during the day. While considered a major threat, shooting one of those down would most likely announce the presence of the entire fleet the hostiles on the ground. Even though it's not a problem to them immediately, when it'll come to the down to the infantry, casualties would mount up faster than they can say "Whoops!" With that said, ground forces have already been deployed, a squadron of 6th Marine Division Marines and 6th Marine Division MARSOC Operatives on a single CH-46 Sea Knight. They are to initiate first contact with locals and establish a non-hostile relations with them soon. Supporting them will b be undercover Night Nine agents.

Frigate F93 Almogàver reports being escorting an Tuna trawler after forcing pirates to escape. We have taken two speedboats with seven captured pirates. In the firefight our marines Dettachment killed 8 pirates receing 2 seriously wounded. which have been send to an hospital ship.

Task force 121.1 keeps patrolling. We have stopped ships coming and Leaving Alma. In one regular inspeccion we seized several weapons in a cargo ships with a cargo worth 50 tonnes of weapons and ammunitions, among them several SA14 launchers, RPG16 and AKMS47.

The Republic of Catarra Navy will desploy a naval force as task force Dolphin to support ACSN navies joint efforts sending in a rotative desployment a naval task force of 3-4 surface warships (frigates or corvettes) and a support ship and a LPD with an special forces squadron.

We consider this an oportunity to increase our interoperativity with other ACNS navies and also a way to protect our own shipping in the area.

From our base of Tolon. Have departed the next ships. F31 Joan Pichon, F51 Leial, Fs 21 Espasa, Fs24 Pigassa. L11 Frederic Mistral A23 Montanha.

We will desploy also 3 P3Cs and ground crews from 221st maritime patrol squadron, 5th wing.

On 0200 hours, fifteen pirates have been apprehended by the Rynagrian Navy after a group comprised of 30 pirates, boarded the RNV Bionic Arleigh-Burke class destroyer. Having mistaking it for a merchant vessel, the sailors proceeded to ask for the individuals to surrender, but a shootout occurred. This resulted in sinking of three out of the five skiffs used by the group through the use of heavy caliber machine guns, the fifteen that have survived the encounter are being shipped back to Rynagria to be placed under trial, the method of transport is by a CH-46 Sea Knight. The incident has garnered a response from 4th Rynagrian Naval Fleet commander, Vice Admiral Clive Blum, to the treatment of the Pirates.

"I ask that all ASCN forces operating around the areas of rogue city, Alma, to try their best to have the majority of the Pirates be taken custody. My staff and I would like to limit the casualties on this operation, our own and otherwise. In the event that subduing a criminal in question is impossible, lethal use of force is advised. My offer does not extend to militias and the warlords that are currently residing in Alma." -Vice Admiral Clive Blum

In addition, a platoon of Rynagrian SEALs have secured a a coastal town in Northwest Alma on 0430 hours, all hostiles in the town has been neutralized. The sailors have a confirmed kill count of 80 out of 200, with the rest being subdued and captured, and access to a deep water dock. Town has been reinforced by 300 marines, while Sailors arriving shortly after through the use of CRRCs and are currently distributing supplies and medicine to population of town. No signs of counterattack are evident so far, Alma citizens have responded with mix feelings on presence of Rynagrian armed forces personnel occupying their town. Results taken from survey given shortly after, estimated 1,800 citizens are living in town.

Due to the strategic nature of the town, it has been designated as Point Skywalker and will be used as the primary point of resupply for ground forces. Operation Forward Opersting Base will be finished and ready for use November 17, 2015 by 0900 hours. As of 1654 hours, Vice Admiral Blum has concluded "open hunting" initiative to all troops on ground and have now begun to spread out from Point Skywalker.

At 3:30AM after the news of Rynagrian land intervention a task force of special forces and part of 1st Marines using Helicopters and fast landing craft landed in Occra estuary to neutralise Follay's men. before they could eliminate the remaining hostages of several vessels taken as "12th voyage".
The Operation Bandoler (also called operation. 4 rals (because of the limited assets used)) movilized 1r Esquadró SAE and A coy 1st marine batallion and a secundary related operation mobilized 2n esquadró SEN.
During the operation SEN commandoes used the distraction to plant limped mines in the mothership vessels used by the pirates.
the initial focus from assault was in the town of Salé north Occra estuary. At. 3.45 SAE troops fast roped from Catalan Army aviation EC725 into the warehouses in which prisioners were locked, the recon team sniped killed the guards before the could kill the hostages. And set a security perimeter. The SAE team and the hostages was extrated at 4.05 by EC725s and a CH47D. Follay died from the wounds received during the assault.

Meanwhile a marine platoon and SEN were landed in CB-90 fast assault crafts while the rest of the coy landed using Navy NH90 helicopters and marines AB412 in a dry rice field 400 from Mewene. traping and assaulting the town of Mewene south of the estuary dispersing the town garrisson.
Marines disabled whatever heavy armament and plastic explosive used to destroy the ammunition stores they could find and rescued some sailors forced to operate the motherships. SEN team planted limped mines in the hulls of the motherships which were towed out the estuary and sunk. Operation was considered over by 5:45.

CNS Roger de Llúria destroyer used it's OTO gun against a column of armed SUVs that got to Mewene as the 2 supporting Tiger AH. destroying several SUVs and killing and wounding an indetermined number of hostiles.

We suffered one killed, one wounded which is in critical situation and 12 other wounded. We killed over 40 confirmed from the 100-200 present in the area. 68 were Captured and extracted. From those 22 child soldiers and 18 women and girls used as sexual slaves and servants will be send to Rynagria for reabilitation, while the other will be send to Rynagria for prosecution. Also the 12th voyage crewmembers and the other 22 freed sailors will be send to Rynagria too.

4 motherships have been sunk and other 2 permanently disabled, beached.

The Catarran Navy frigate Leial, operating in international waters off Alma. The Frigate responded to the distress message send by the 21,000 tonnes Rynagrian flagged MV Seahorse. which had came under small arms and RPG attack from two skiffs operating from a pirate mother ship. The warship deployed its Panther helicopter, which quickly arrived on the scene, to deter the hijacking and shadow the mother vessel until the frigate arrived.

The operation captured 11 suspected pirates, together with their mother ship and two skiffs. This raises the number of pirates arrested by Catarran navy to 35 in four incidents. Which have been handed to Rynagrian authorities for prosecution.

Frigate Leial is attached to Operation Dolphin, Which is the Catarran involvement to an Rynagrian led ACSN joint naval operation focused in ending with piracy carried out in the ACSN waters.

In order to forcelly remove artillery the area and take control of the IAP.
The spearheding 10 tanks, the scout platoon and 4 Maulets APCs. encontered resistence and were ambushed. By warlord forces while avoidind Sarasa marshes 2kms of the same town when the Task force was received by gun fire, RPGs and antitank missiles. Tank commander coy officer ordered to answer and called for counterbattery fire the silenced the guns, while marine tanks supported the infantery that landed from their vehicles reinforced by the other arriving infantry coy. The Warlords forces had called for reinforcements including 3 T55s that were knocked out quickly out of their 100mm guns. That, make the support militians column to run away the area.
The fight for Sarasa disabled a Tank which had to be towed for reparation. While marines suffered 9 casualties which were evacuated by air. The Marines in the ground destroyed some bunkers in the town, and found a disabled 4 pieces artillery, a command post and an ammunition dump.
Some according marines they caused 150 casualties on militians in the Town.

They continued to the airport they disabled a digged T55 that served as pill box, in the firefight another tanks was damaged by recolisses gun fired from a suv. Marines claimmed 55 militians suffering 3 casualties, before taking the Airport with little resistance.

In the airport the marines found the deridicts of 6 Mig21MF, that had not flown for a long time.

We decided to send further reinforcement With the order o Deployment of 5th AT Brigade "Almogàvers" that will make a combat jump on Alma IAP area. The 8th(R) mechanised (IFVs) Batallion and 22d army transport Batallion with it M98 wheeled APC will complete the army comitement.
Another Marine Batallion will be landed completing the 1st Marine ME Brigade task force raising our armed forces desployed SW of Alma.

Our SFs and Inteligence has been making arrangentment Will Catalan ethnic Warlords in the Rogue Area NW Carlosso's in order to give legitimacy to it's Statelet, of slightly over 3000 square km2 about 700000 inhabitants, (in the Western coastal strip). A group of 4 speedboats. aproached fleet replenishment oiler A-801 Montserrat, While it was sailing towards it's homeport of Tarragona, after she was sailling to home after having taken part in it's tour of duty in the task Force 121.1 Patrolling the pirate activity area along Alma with Frigate Flama F-90, which was sailing in paralel at 20 NM, in international waters in front of East Alman coast.

After, Flama made radar contacts with a suspicious ship It awarned Monserrat and Speeded towards it. The suspicious Ship was indeed a pirate ship that mistook Montserrat for a Civilian Vessel and it droped several speedboats.

Montserrat Crew, was put on alert, and when they where at 7000m men on the speedboats started firing with small arms and RPGs at the ship. The crew answered with the Goalkeeper CIWs, the on board 30mm CS guns and M2s of the oiler, A speedboat was sunk by the CIWS, then the speedboats turned back realising they had targeted the wrong ship.
The NH90 helicopter took off from the oiler at 2.12, to pursuit the fleeing Speedboat armed with the on board MGs.
Action ended by 2:42 when the 6 surviving pirates on the damaged rift and 3 surviving pirates from the sunk speedboat were sent onboard the oiler, arrested. several AK47s, RPK and RPG have been impounded as some boarding material.

As that was found suspicious a boarding party took the ship which was towed to Catarra for inspection. During the trip the Ship's Captain died in suspitious circumstances. Suicide has been considered as most probable cause.
