I think he's annoyed with how you're overdoing so much. Plus, a 1000% increase in population? What world is this? Definitely not earth, cause that's impossible. I don't want so sound rude, but can you please at least negotiate fair terms with this? If you want a big economy, and a big military, I would suggest not exceeding 3,000,000 personnel. If you had a 60,000,000 population, a 3,000,000 man army would be would be a mere 5% of your population. And you'd still have a large ass army. The vast majority of your military budget, however, would have to be spent on housing and feeding your troops.

I TRIED! BUT NO ONE WOULD LET ME HAVE THE USA! So instead I selected territory, which would allow for a large population but noooooooo! We are all too realistic to allow for that. Soviet Union can survive, despite that being so highly unlikely but heaven forbid Australia be allowed more than 40 million souls.

USSR could have held on it's teritories if Gorbachev wouldn't do the perestroika, and even if the soviets shot the citizens of ex: Latvia, it'd be easy to keep hold.
About the economy.. well, even if it is bad, and people revolt, the army can just shoot them.

I however agree that Australia should be allowed more people. It's almost as large as the USA.

I've scanned this thread, and I don't want to sound rude, manticoran empire, but they have been thorough with this: it's real life stats, with little variations.

They have repeated this numerous times. Maybe increase it a bit to up to 60 million by accepting million of refugees during world war 2. You know, how a large German population migrated to USA. Maybe some migrated to Australia. And those wars in the Mid East, maybe instead of most going to Western Europe and USA, Canada. Several millions migrate to Oceania for their amazing and vibrant economy, civil rights, etc. I get that you are doing alt history, but alt history doesn't change the demographics of the areas...

Maybe he could have large German population as well with the USA. And also throw in maybe they accepted millions of Muslim refugees.
