The group that the Donns had detected was a small scout group, patrolling the area for more survivors. It consisted of 6 white masks, 4 insurgents, and 2 black masks. The group was armed with bio hazard suits. It could only suggested one thing: They had bio-weapons. The walked in a straight horizontal line using flashlights. One of the black masks had a massive tank on his back, which had a bio hazard symbol on it.

Meanwhile, back at the trench... The Eruseans would move up later, they were currently busy helping the defense line until the relief force could arrive. Which would arrive within a few hours. "How much longer do we have to sit here? We need to be out there with ATLAS, helping." Roared Ishmael as her reloaded his ARX-A. "Dammit Ishmael we have to help defend this location? See how many more men are here? Not much. They've thinned us out in just a few hours. See my point? If this line falls, there's nothing stopping the insurgents from taking the island, nothing." Voycheck gave Ishael a stern look as he said that. "I see capn'." He replied. "Good."

Back out near the field...

The two para rescue men checked Taurusky's pulse, and saw that he had died. The two rescue men sigh, and look down in defeat. "Two hundredth one today..." The main PR said over the radio for the medical area behind the lines could hear. The comma network was also linked to the ATLAS's. "What? Damn... That means there's only just over one hundred men out there... Goddamn..." Someone said back over the comms. This had certainly put the death toll into scale. While the NG was killing insurgents left and right, they were losing men just as fast. Unless that relief force arrived quickly, or ATLAS forces the insurgents back, they would be overrun soon.

While the rest of his section were busying themselves with clearing out the occupied buildings, Captain Stacer, and Sergeant Holt made their way towards a hastily prepared command tent set up by the insurgents. An antenna was sticking out of the roof, and wires ran from the tent to the building. The sounds of the intense trench combat were far away now, instead, replaced by the staccatos of triple A fire on the top of the academy. Their primary target. Once that'd been eliminated, save for a few locations, the ISAF would have supreme air control.

The Vacifians had reached the secondary forward command post. Taking it out would disrupt organization across the frontal assault line. The center of the island they were in was filled by the ceremony ground. This was where the naval academy(which was three islands away from Yamoka), had their graduation ceremonies. It was now desecreted by steel guns. The triple A consisted of trucks with quad AA cannons on the back, and some flak emplacements. No SAMs. This was where MOST of the AA was focused, with the rest towards the main forward command post. Taking out the AA would give ISAF greater control of the skies, and could possibly hit the rest of the AA.

As they walked by Doc had his eyes glued to the tank on the man's back. He glanced back at Blitz looking for the signal he was going to give before they closed in. The path that they were walking on had seperated team. Doc, Queen and Broken on one side with Dakka and Blitz on the other. The shade and foliage covering them from detection. They observed their weaponry, it was heavy, which would work in favor for Donnish team. Dakka who was sitting behind a tree as the Patrol walked leaned out to look at them. He looked back to Blitz and nodded. Now was the teams chance as the patrol almost were about to pass by unharmed.

Blitz grabbed a Flashbang from his leg and pulled the pin creating a audible 'Click!' In the silent forest. He smiled as he threw it in the air above the patrol and ducked his head down to protect his eyes. The others did the same and waited for Blitz's mark. The Flashbang then exploded sending sparks across the air over them. A blinding light and deafening sound surrounded them as they then looked up at their now disorientated Prey. The Donns stood up and raised their weapons aiming them at the preselected targets infront of them. Now they still waited for Blitz's mark.

"Euroi!" They all yelled as Blitz formed his hand into a fist then releasing it. Then they fired on them, sending nine millimeter bullets tearing through the air at their enemies. But Blitz had different ideas.

Blitz grabbed the first Man in the patrol by the arm and put his leg infront of the Enemies right leg. He pushed him forwards trying to trip him over his own leg. After doing so he crouched down grabbing his Knife from his leg and putting the point of it to the back of the Enemies head. Blitz held him down with his knee and keeping his right shoulder down with his other free hand. "You have five seconds to surrender, Sovarich." He said with the point of the Knife still against the back of his head, he held it there and if he moved he would plunge it into his head.

The man they had captured was a regular insurgent. He sighed as he said,"You are persistent people aren't you? You act like surrendering is a choice." He remained very still, knowing that the sound of the flames had suppressed the echo of the flashbang.

Cade looked over to his subordinate, and pulled out a V4 Tear gas grenade. Rodrick did the same as they approached the tent flap. They clicked the button to activate the canisters, and tossed it through the flap. With a hiss, they sailed through the small hut, and exploded with a pale yellow gas. They waited for a few moments before a large group of insurgents came piling out of the tent. They were holding their eyes and throats, and tripping over each other. The two men raised their VA2's and disposed of the regular insurgents. They were unlikely to have any valuable intelligence, and they didn't have the time to take prisoners. The group of 14 insurgents were downed to 5. Leaving 3 White Masks, and 2 Black Masks. The remaining five were too busy coughing to notice the death of their subordinates, or the oncoming group of foreign commandos. The two 3 story buildings had been cleared, and the Vanguardsmen were off on their own spree somewhere in the distance. The five men were quickly subdued, and moved away from the vicinity of the command tent. 3 members of the team were off scavenging the command tent for usable intel like who they were, where their gear came from, and current orders/troop positions. Meanwhile the other 5 began their interrogation. First they started with removing any plausible weapons, and tying their targets up. Then, Hesse less than gently removed their fancy ballistic masks. They came from multiple ethnicities, the look in their eyes showed a fierce glare. One of them, the black mask was about to say something when Emerson knelt down and blew a fine powdery substance into their faces. This substance was used by Vacifian field operators who needed quick information. It was a more refined version of the "Devil's Breath" a drug once used by the CIA as a means of interrogation. It would serve their needs well. The men coughed violently, but then were overcome by a haze of confusion. Losing the air of seriousness, and hate. "You will tell us who you are. You will tell us where you came from, how you got here, and everything we want to know." she said in a steely tone. Some of the stronger men tried to resist the effects of the breath, but couldn't get out of the haze.

The insurgents tried resisting, using every trick they were taught to resist hypnosis. One of the white masks finally talked after much struggling, he spoke in short phrases. "Sub... The coast... Ulysses... Must... Punish..." He was then shot in the head by a sniper round. Another round hit a black mask. The insurgents were being picked off by a sniper somewhere.

When the first shot hit, the Vacifians first instinct were to cloak. It seamed odd that the sniper would choose to pick off the insurgents first rather than taking out the foreign spec ops unit, but the man did almost divulge possibly critical information. "Let's move, we're done here." Vera said rather forcefully. She'd almost had something, and the fact that they could of been picked off by a sniper irked her quite a bit. The Vacifians started to make their way towards the triple A. The field tent hadn't offered much insight on where they'd come from, just what their plans were once they'd landed. Troop movements, casualties, and other posts. Using this information, they avoided what little patrols the insurgents could spare on the interior, and avoid hostile camps. It was time they'd ended this, too many had died in one night.

The closer they got to the guns, the more the world felt distant. The spec ops team stuck to the wall as they climbed the ram up to the top where the guns lay. On the large surface area, there were dozens of anti air weapons, manned by dozens of insurgents. The anti air had gone quiet for a moment, the ISAF had ceased their latest attempts at trying to break through. They deactivated their camouflage units as they pressed forward. There wasn't a chance they'd take on engaging all of the insurgents. Granted a number were unarmed, there wasn't much cover on the ceremonial grounds, and while they maintained the technological advantage, and the element of surprise, the chances of success while plausible shows that they'd likely take heavy casualties.

Dimitri crouched down, and unlocked his bag. In it were several pounds of shaped Vacifian demo charges. More than enough to turn the steel into slag. He handed out several charges to each member before they departed for their targets. The insurgents seamed tired after hours of on end combat. Their reserves seamed to be running dry as the crews seamed to not of been relieved since they first arrived. They could practically smell the sweat, and fatigue through their masks. While one would think at least someone would notice the vague distortions in the air, it was still very dark out, the air was thick, hot, and heavy. Coupled with the crippling effects of working none stop in a high pressure situation such as invading and holding a military facility it was fairly safe to say that the Vacifians went unnoticed. The men and women of Oxide 1 had started their tedious task of hiding their explosive presents in any inconspicuous nook or cranny they could find. Some were more simple such as loathing it underneath the lead spewing contraptions, while others required more finesse. They didn't have enough explosives to take out all of the guns, but the ensuing destruction would either leave them in a state of disrepair, or leave no one left to man them. Anyone that survived could be handled by the 29th.

Oxide 1 cleared the blast radius, and crouched down low to witness their efforts go to good use. Cade whispered into his microphone, "Clear, do it." On a moments notice, the detonator's switch was flipped, and a grand explosion greeted the foreigners as the demolition chatted completely incinerated the anti aircraft guns and their crews. The heat generated from the explosion detonated several cases of near by ammunition to boot, adding to all the chaos. It was like a morbid firework show, but with military hardware. The black outlines of insurgents run to and fro around the grounds in panic. Using the chaos to their advantage, the Vacifians started their assault. The section split up into two teams. The first half stayed near the "exits" while the second moved in the eliminate those that had survived the blast. The waves of heat did well to cover the distortions in the air. "Weapons free, no survivors." Cade said quite bluntly. There wasn't much else that needed to be said. Soon the cries of confusion and panic were replaced by the crackling of fire, and the sound of crickets.

"Where'd the Vacificans go?"

".... They left?"

"Fuck."

Uno and Dux were crouched neat the edge of the encampment they'd assaulted with the Vacificans. In the following quiet infiltration and attack, they'd managed to take out a few of the black mask soldiers quietly, but they hadn't checked in with the Vacificans. Now they were kneeling near the edge of the camp, just the two of them. They had no direction on where to go, or where any of their allies had gone, and both Vanguard hesitated turning instantly to their radios for fear that the enemy would hear them broadcast.

A minute after their vocal exchange, an explosion lit up the sky followed shortly by a rolling rumble in both the air and the ground. Dux and Uno looked at each other and nodded: It had to be the Vacificans. They got up and turned towards the explosion and started to move as quickly as they could without making any loud noises. The two kept their heads down both to keep protected from sniper fire or from being seen, even though it was unlikely any eyes would be trained on a pair of two dark shapes moving quietly towards an explosion rather than away from it.

The Vacifians had pretty much cleared out most of the insurgent AA. With barely any stragglers. Once the area was clear, a transmission was sent out on comms. "All allied units this is AWACS, we just recieved confirmation that the 4th airborne unit is on its way to relieve us. We still have some anti air down there, we'll mark it. If anyone can get near there and deploy an arc light beacon it'll make it easy on us. Also, GH footage is showing a major movement of POWs, possibly the missing cadets from the academy... Also, whoever blew up the command center good job. BlackJacks are reporting major chaos among insurgents across the defense line. Also, we still need info on these sons of bitches. Along with that naval support will be unavailable for Yamoka, the islands of Lionel, Dreistag, and Gerals need help pushing back the rest of the insurgents. Well that's the update for right now, goodluck."

With the guns finished, they hopped off the ceremonial grounds, and started to march for the secondary command post. "That guy said something about Ulysses...isn't that the name of the asteroid that hit here back in '99?" asked Croce. He'd been thinking about what little information they'd gotten out of the insurgents before their untimely demise. The insurgents would of likely inserted from the sub(s) from the northern bay, as they'd had it locked down for most of the fight, while the south was controlled by the ISAF. The Sergeant relayed his thoughts to his Captain. "This is Oxide 1-1 to ISAF Ground Command. Be advised, possible insurgent submersible threat north of Yamoka island. We believe this is how insurgents landed so fast, and undetected. Hostiles mentioned something about Ulysses. Possible correlation to the asteroid strike back in 1999. Speculate that hostiles may be old friends of yours. Confirm?" Captain Stacer said all of this briskly without missing a beat. The 8 man team soon came within close enough proximity to see the Remnant soldiers. Cade gently flipped the switch on his radio to connect with that of the URA's. "This is Captain Stacer to URA Vanguardsmen. What's your status, over."

The two Vanguard stopped and took a knee when they heard Stacer's radio call. On the edge of their unaided vision in the night, Uno and Dux could just make out the shapes of a group of people. They silently prayed it was stacer and his team. Uno bit his lip and grumbled quietly to himself. Good to know Stacer was so confident of their comm channel's safety that he was willing to say his name and Uno's unit and home country. Uno sighed and figured he might as well reply, the enemy knew what they knew now. "Stacer, Uno. Status green for us. How goes your status, over? Was that you making the noise?"

The question about noise was an obvious reference to the explosions that Uno and Dux had witnessed earlier in the direction of what were supposed to be the enemy heavy weapon emplacements. Uno was at a loss as to what they were supposed to do now. Maybe Stacer had some information. If not, then he assumed they could hopefully exfil, and if they couldn't, then Uno assumed they'd have to stay on-station and hold the line along with the ISAF personnel.

"Copy Oxide. Do you have any audio from the encounter? It would help." Replied the ground command. "Attention all allied forces, relief force is just an hour away. We need to hold just a little bit longer." The message was sent out on all allied channels.

MEANWHILE, OFF THE COAST OF YAMOKA...

As the report came in of a suspected submarine in the area North of Yamoka, the captain of the Salvacion battleship came to terms of the reality of the situation. "Damnable insurgents... Who the hell are funding these sons of bitches?" He said in a furious rage. "I want the Gerald out there scanning for that damn submarine. I want that thing found!!" "Yessir!" Said the comms officer as he immediately sent a transmission to the battlecruiser Gerald. "Something big is being unraveled... And if it is what I think it is... Then the picture is horrifying.."

"All green, and yeah, that was us. Insurgents are in disarray. The lot of the organized, or smart ones are falling back north of the island. ISAF is seeing a lot of movements to the north west of us. They think it's the missing cadets, we can move to try and intercept them, but I'm not sure how much good we'll do. Just us, versus likely a lot of them, plus, me and my own are running low. The insurgents probably outnumber us three to one. You don't just take an entire academy of cadets with just a handful of soldiers. The relief force is an hour out, due east."

The teams were now in close enough proximity to not require comms. The few trees and bushes left in the vicinity provided at least some cover. The Vacifians formed a bit of a circle to keep watch over everything. A few started to exchange magazines to balance out the ammunition problem. "Emerson, get on relaying the information from the secondary command post to the ISAF, it may not be worth much now that they're scattered, but at least they'll have something." As the lieutenant got to relaying the information gathered earlier in the mission, Cade turned to face the Remnants. "Glad to see you without any scratches.-" he let out a small sigh, "with the guns gone, the ISAF are no longer on the defensive, which means the primary objective of holding the line is technically complete. We could fall back to the trenches, but that would mean the insurgents would keep the cadets hostage. The relief force wont likely make it here before the insurgents have successfully transferred the hostages. If they get those cadets, that could prolong our stay here, or just lead to a bunch of kids dying. Both of which are not good. If we move now, we could potentially intercept them. But we've got next to no intel on them. It's a big risk, and our job here is technically done." Cade didn't exactly know what he meant to say with this information. He himself was iffy about going after the hostages. They were probably ill-prepared to engage the enemy. For all they knew, they could be engaging the entire island's worth of rebels trying to take that convoy. It was possibly the only life line the insurgents had, so they'd cling to it tight. Plus, their luck had been in their favor for some time now. He'd rather not test it any further.

Dux joined the circle watch, taking up part of the slack of the Vacifian team while Uno talked with Stacer. Dux didn't care one way or the other what their next task was. Dux's only future was a furthered career in the military until retirement, and then hopefully he could become an advisor or consultant for a corporation back home. The fact that Dux, better known as Master Chief Petty Officer Tyson Kane, only had two careers to enter into due to his slight lack of higher intelligence and the darkened color of his skin helped him chose the military, since his other option was a life in a corporate factory. Sure, the URA said there was no racism, but there was. Those of African descent and Korean descent rarely got as high up as the Saxon or Slavic ethnicities in any ranking. That meant that, no matter what happened if Dux lived today, he'd be a soldier tomorrow. If he died today, his family would get a small lump sum for his duty to the nation. What a wonderful existence.

Uno, better known as First Lieutenant Lars Ghurosky, couldn't decide what the Vacifian team was willing to do. "Hmm. Nice job with the guns, then. As for ammo, that's the thing Dux and I have plenty of. We haven't used a bullet yet. If you guys use 5.56 NATO, we can offer a few magazines for you guys. I think we have enough ammo to hold out for about an hour, no matter what we do. An hour isn't that long. But..." Uno looked towards the northwest. "But those kids won't last an hour. Not if nobody goes to help them. Dux and I are going to make an attempt, or at the very least get their location pinned down. If you and your team wanna come and give us back up, that'll be cherry. If not, well, you might wanna head back to the line so you're not out here alone." As he spoke, Dux looked behind himself at Uno and gave a tight-lipped nod, as if he understood the situation before looking back outside the circle. Uno slowly slid his rifle around and cradled it in his arms. "All in all, s'up to you. But I'd appreciate the extra guns."

As the info feed was recieved by the ground command, which was back behind the artillery, the intel reciever played the audio. As they listened to it, they were horrified of what they heard. "Sir... Is this who we think it is?" Asked the intel reciever. "Yeah... The Cult of Ulysses as they're famously known as... Anarchists worshipping a damned asteroid that almost killed us all... We put them down back in 2008... Who the hell could be funding them? And where could they be operating out of? That's the big question..." Said the commander, pacing back and forth. "Who knows sir... Maybe if there's a sub really out there, we could possibly make it surface and get inside of it. Maybe it has answers, that's if it's out there..." Replied the intel officer. "True... But for now we wait."

OFF THE COAST OF YAMOKA...

The battlecruiser Gerald pinged it's sonar as it sailed along the bay. "Nothing here sir..." Said the sonar operator. "Alright, well.. Guess there's nothing out here. We've looked everywhere. Time to head back." Said the captain, as he turned to order the helmsman to steer them back to the naval defense force. But right as he was giving the order, the sonar hit something. Something huge. "Sir, I'm getting huge readings from deep below us... My god... Sir it's the sub!!!" "What?" Exclaimed the captain, moving over to see the sonar for himself. "Well I'll be damned... Signal the captain. And ask him to get an aurora over here armed with a remotely guided depth charge..."

Soon after the report of a sub off the coast of Yamoka was recieved by the captain of the naval force, radio channels blew up with chatter of the sub. It was another sign that the defense force was going to win soon, they just needed to hold out.

"We can help take back those kids. We can only send two guys though." Said Voycheck over the ATLAS comms, looking over at Trevor and Ishmael as he did. "Oh and tell the Cifs' that they found a sub off the coast." As Voycheck kept talking, Trevor and Ishmael picked up their ARX-As, stood up, made sure the coast was clear, and set out for the ATLAS member's location. "Who'd ya suppose is dumping the funding into this group?" Asked Ishmael. "Who knows. Either way, we gotta stop these bastards." Said Trevor, stepping over a log. "Well... We owe a lot to ATLAS now. Thank the Lord for them, we would've been toast with just the NG and us." Said Ishamel. "Yeah yeah... If the NG just drilled more they'd be better, but we have to rely on the ISAFA on pushing back any attack force fully."

The Vacifians politely declined their ammunition offer as the VAF's premier round was the 6.8mm. "Well, what good would we be if we didn't try. We'll stick by you." as he said this, the comms came to life, "We can help take back those kids. We can only send two guys though." The BJ's chipping in their two cents, or 2 soldiers in this case. Good to know they were still alive. On the side, Hesse informed Stacer on their ammunition status. They'd expended most of their ammunition, and on average they all had around 2 or 3 spare magazines. Minus Luca, who had one belt loaded in. Their grenade supply was about the same, thrown or launched.

"My men will back you up, we should move out as fast as possible. The Blackjacks can catch up. The enemy is likely already ahead of us." As he said this, a thought came to mind. He turned to his intelligence specialist, and briskly said, "Emerson, get ISAF Ground command on the line. Ask if they have anything that has a camera in the general vicinity of that path, and see if you can hook up to it, or ask if they can. There's got to be some security cameras online. They may of taken the island fast, but I don't think they shut down the passive security systems. Maybe this'll get us some insight on what we're dealing with." Without any hesitation, she did as she was ordered, and carried out her orders.

"Ground command, this is Oxide 1-3, request support. Are there any assets in the area that can get us eyes on the prisoner convoy? Over."

"Yeah we do. We have a global hawk in the area." Said ground control, "AWACS is patching a feed through." Soon, a video feed was sent to the Cifs. It showed a decent group size of 35 cadets, marching with their hands tied. A group of 100 insurgents, consisting of 25 black masks and 25 white masks, with the rest being insurgents, followed closely. "We have a commanche available for fire support if needed." Said ground control.

Meanwhile, an aurora was strapped with a remote deph missile charge to counter the submarine. The plan was to detonate the deph missile before it hit the sub, to cause it to surface so that they could board it. That's if the sub didn't have a massive arsenal of deadly weaponry. If the plan failed, valuable information could be lost.

ISAF-Usea wrote:"Yeah we do. "We have a commanche available for fire support if needed."

Cade gave out a low whistle. He parroted what he heard to the others. "You guys catch that? 35 cadets, they're marching, so we may be able to catch up in time. There'll be about 100 insurgents between us and them. 25 whites, and 25 blacks. the rest are all regulars. ISAF has a Comanche on stand by." That was...a lot. There wasn't going to be much of an advantage. Chances were, they'd arrive just in time to intercept them. The path was fairly open, not much cover. There were a few ridges, and hills they could use to their advantage, but that still didn't negate the fact that they were essentially outnumbered 10 - 1. The Comanche could give them the kick they need, but there was the looming possibility that the cadets would be harmed.
