A Blackhawk Mk. II helicopter descended to the ground in front of the Hall with a rush. Leaves were pushed away and tree branches waved in the artificial wind. Two Apache Attack Helicopters descended behind it. Out of the Blackhawk stepped an Ambassador and three guards. A guard stepped out of each of the Apaches, too. A message had been sent half an hour previously to the governments of the present nations informing them that an ambassador from the States would be present.
"Here we go." Said the ambassador as he straightened his bright red tie and began walking towards the Hall with his guards.

King Foley looked down at the entrance where the ambassador and his guards stepped in.
"Who are you? You don't seem like you belong to any of the nations that backed us in the Great Division, Monarchist or Nationalist."

Thanks be to the Son of God, our Lord and Savior that your pious King, anointed from on high has prevailed in your Civil War.

May the one true God continue to bless your nation as you work to retake your lands from the followers of the Anti-Christ.

Warrentucky will offer both humanitarian and lethal assistance to your government. We are also willing to sell you oil and uranium at below market prices for the duration of the conflict.

"That's because we didn't. We wiped out most of the life in a large portion of your southeast. We're here to negotiate with you for some incentive to not invade again. Before negotiations start, we'd like remind you that we were operating at less than one-fourth of our maximum operating capacity for a situation like this."

Cobb Island was just starting to recover from the Colombian refugee crisis and the damage inflicted by hurricane Joaquin when the second Colombian War broke out.

Although the Cobb Island government officially declared neutrality in the conflict, the fact that the USC was a major trading partner with Cobb Island made it a defacto ally of the USC.

Each week, large cargo freighters departed from Cobb Island on route to Baltimore Harbor. These freighters frequently carried smalls arms munitions which were critical to the war effort.

Each cargo freighter was escorted by one Cobb Island Coast Guard Cutter that was modified for anti-submarine warfare.

Baltimore's Strategic Importance

Many arm chair generals would know that any army seeking to take the USC East Coast and the USC Capital of Philadelphia would need to first secure port to establish supply lines with the mother country. Baltimore, which was relatively untouched by the Colombian Civil War had an excellent harbor and was also close to the capital of Philadelphia.

The KMS Himmelreich was an Admiral Raeder-Class Supercarrier and consequentially the flagship of the Weltreich Flotilla stationed out of New Trondheim in German-Occupied Norway. The Admiral Raeder was Germany's very latest class of Nuclear-Powered Super Carriers, and at this time there were only a dozen in active service. They were designed with a plethora of Anti-Air Defenses and Anti-Ship Weaponry Countermeasures so as to ensure they could protect themselves in a fight whilst the escorts conducted the actual engagement of any hostile naval forces. These carriers were capable of holding up to 104 aircraft and had a launch space capability of eleven Heinkel-511 Naval Fighter Aircraft at a time. These carriers were not to be trifled with. Nor was the Flotilla that the Himmelreich lead.

This Flotilla consisted of a further three Kaiser Adrian der Grosse-Class Supercarriers, a Graf Zeppelin II-Class Aircraft Carrier, and four Ludendorf-Class Aircraft Carrier's. This was the carrier compliment of the fleet with the four Super carriers dead center in the fleet's formation and the other five spread out amongst the fleet where they were strategically useful. And as to the rest of the Flotilla, there was two Bismarck II-Class Battleships, five Scharnhorst-Class Battleships, four O-Class Battlecruisers, seven D-Class Heavy Cruisers, eleven M-Class Light Cruisers, six N-Class Light Cruisers, fifteen C-Class Guided Missile Destroyers, fourteen L-Class Guided Missile Destroyers, and ten S-Class Anti-Submarine Warfare Destroyers. It would be a foolhardy move to try and tangle with this fleet. This veteran force had seen action fighting the French Navy and the British Royal Navy in the Anglo-French War on Germany and managed to deal crushing defeats to both forces on numerous occasions.

Additionally were eight large transport ships carrying six Reserve Corps that had been mobilized to Active Duty for conducting initial operations against Columbia until the full invasion force for what was to be known as "Fall Panzer" could be sent out. There were twelve freighters loaded with supplies for these troops, of which they were in the following Reserve Corps:

Sirens were going off as a joint effort between the Police, State Guard, and official Armed Forces units tried to coordinate the evacuation of the city. Everyone knew the King and Congress wouldn't surrender to the Danicusians (or however you spell it) so they figured they'd use the 14 hours as a head start on evacuating the East Coast.
Philadeplhia
King Foley and the other members looked furious. The King drew his sword and screamed at the Ambassador "Get out of my land or I'll make you an example to the rest of your men!"
Prime Minister Hancock drew out his .45 and aimed at one of the guards. The other guards raised their rifles and carbines.
Edit and OOC: They won't shoot or try and kill unless you give them reason to. Either try and calm the situation (Like offer to repay all reconstruction fees and to stay out of the USC) or leave while you don't have them lusting for your blood.

The Decurion watched and waited as the Arcanus, dressed as a Columbian Police Officer, stood at his guard, waiting for the King's convoy to pass through. However, from the darkness of the Alleyway, an Auxiliary Legionary emerged. He was dressed in civilian clothes, but as he approached, saluted and hailed the Decurion, there was no mistaking his allegiance.

"Ave, Decurion. You need to stand your men down," the Legionary reported, a Veles carbine slung over his shoulder and a backpack that looked almost fit to burst.

"How did you get that past the police?" asked the Decurion, eyeing the carbine.

"It is not a Civil War anymore, the Centurion was contacted by our ride out, the Onerariis Serpo. It was forced to leave, the eastern coast of Columbia is being blockaded by a foreign fleet. The Nationalists have also officially surrendered, so we do not believe that they are on our side. This is where our operating base is at the moment," the Messenger pulled out a map of the area and pointed to a forest to the south marked Wharton State Forest. "You are to take your two best men and find out just what the hell is going on around here. As of now, Operation: Mongoose is terminated, now we just need to get home in one piece. If you can, try to contact our fair hosts, perhaps if we help them they will help us get back home." He handed them three uniforms. "We aren't looking to be hostile anymore, if we did everything right, they wont know we ever were."

They both saluted once more and the Messenger and most of Rotenko's men went on their way, the two soldiers who remained to help changed back into their praetorian uniforms. With the Decurion, they emerged from the Alley. and were stopped almost immediately by a police officer of Columbia.

"We are not your enemies!" Rotenko declared. "We want to help you!"

The New Axiom Empire will fully support the communists. As a result a joint Imperial Marines/Navy battlegroup has landed on and took control of Cuba and has taken command of several airfields, turning them into Foward Operating Bases, ready to strike where needed. Missile launch facilities may or may not be present in the island. Anti air cannons and SAMs are in place as well. An invasion of Florida is planned, and Miami is well within air strike range.

The policeman walked away muttering some derogatory about the troops as he headed down the street towards a farmers market.

Cobb Island secretly provided the USC with a satellite image of enemy troop movements. The images were blurry, but they were able to give the USC a status update on the incursions into their territory.

OOC: Also I had a suggestion for handling military vs military encounters between nations. It is up to the role-players to decide. But otherwise, every conflict could easily be stalemated.

In an encounter, compare your military defense scores in your analysis section. Higher score wins. BUT, if you win an encounter your score is reduced by the loser's military score. So in this way, even the most powerful nation can be overwhelmed by a coalition of nations.

In the middle of the night, the silence was broken by the shouts of men running in the beaches, mingled with the deafeaning sounds of bullets.
Almost Immediately, troops were deployed, but the group of men that came down to fight against the Yymeans were mowed down before they could do any significant damage to them, this work done by the A-210 Makosh CAS UCAV.
The other Hawaiian islands soon surrendered, and the archipielago raised the red flag.

It depends what you are doing, if you are in the middle of dialogue or combat you wait, but if what you are doing happens independently of everybody else (ie, a group of soldiers talking or whatever) than you can post regardless of other posts.

Operation: Firebreather
Decurion Rotenko, Philadelphia, NUSC

Rotenko was blown off by the officer he spoke to, clearly he didn't recognize the uniform as being a foreign power. The Decurion shrugged and felt slightly foolish. Regardless, it was highly important that he met with somebody who knew just what the hell was going on in Columbia. It seemed that perhaps the Cohort would be on their own. Thus, he returned to where he could find the rest of the cohort.

The Centurion approached the three of them. "Any Idea what is happening out there? We have been in constant contact with the Legion Enclave, they have absolutely no idea what the situation is. They have dispatched a recon plane but we do fear it might be shot down, either by Columbians or someone else, it's hard to tell. We do know most of the invasion force is focused around New York," on a large situational map in his tent he pointed to the New York Bight. "We cannot be certain until the Reconnaissance arrives, not of their exact location, their numbers, or event their identity."

Rotenko shook his head "I couldn't find anybody who knew, we did not see much activity, the Columbians looked somewhat twitchy as we passed through but no contact has been made this far south yet. Will the Enclave send us anything to pick us up?" he asked.

"Better yet, they are sending the Golden Banner Flotilla, as well as the 2nd and 3rd Legionary Cohorts, a total of 20,000 men," the Centurion responded, "Recon is currently over the Gulf of California, they should arrive in 7 hours. The Flotilla will be slightly longer, they are leaving tomorrow morning, so they wont be here for at least two weeks. We just have to hold out as best we can until then. They have decided to name it, Operation: Firebreather."

"Operation: Firebreather?" Rotenko almost laughed, "They sure give us the funky names don't they?" he said. "However, in all seriousness I recommend we move south, we have no way of knowing what is happening in New York, and we do not want to be caught up in a firefight."

"Ah, quite to the contrary, Decurion. Various Communist uprisings are also plaguing the south, it appears that this Civil War is only getting started. In addition, we need a rather spacious port, and the only two ports within 500kms capable of holding the Golden Banner Flotilla are in New York and all the way in Virginia. But most importantly, I highly doubt the Columbians will be too pleased with our fleet invading one of their ports. So tonight we sit tight and wait for confirmation on the identity of the invaders. Then we either side with them or the Columbians, depending who the Senate prefer. That is why we need 20,000 soldiers, they are not a rescue team, Decurion, they are an expeditionary force," the Centurion said.

"You have got to be kidding. Just a moment ago we wanted to murder the King of these people, and now you want us to possibly side with them?" Rotenko asked, incredulously.

The Centurion smiled. "They don't know that, besides, we suspect it has something to do with the Communist revolts, and as a matter of fact we would prefer the Constitutional Monarchy over Communists. We will begin the march north tomorrow morning when we have the intel from the Recon plane, we meet up with our host forces, and we do whatever we can to help them win this war," as Rotenko turned to leave the Centurion called him back. "Make certain your men are ready to move at 0800 hours tomorrow morning."

0600 Hours, the next day
Decurion Rotenko, Philadelphia, NUSC

The morning was cold, but Rotenko had woken up an hour early to meet with the Centurion about Firebreather. He found him in his tent with the five Second Centurions of the Cohort. Rotenko saluted the Centurion, who was peering over a map of New York and the surrounding area.

"Ave, Centurion," he said

"Ave, Decurion, good to see you up nice and early for the morning Chill," the Centurion responded. "I know why you are here. The invaders are the Germans, those imperialist bastards. But, thankfully they are seemingly unconnected to the Communists in the south, but we do have confirmed reports that they have used chemical weapons on the civilian populace of Mexico. The Senate has already condemned them for this atrocity."

"How many enemies are we looking at?" Rotenko asked.

The Centurion just shook his head. "Too damn many, we don't know exact numbers, but we know they are at least in the millions. As a result of this, the Senate has decided to deploy the entire 4th Legion to this war. The aircraft got a decent look at their fleet before it was destroyed, possibly hundreds of ships are involved in their invasion. We need to make our way to New York ASAP, the Legion will meet us there when they can. With the 500,000 men of the 4th Legion we can at least hope to give the Germans something to think about. By the way, the Senate wired a message to the parliament of Columbia this morning, I requested a copy, you can have a look if you like," the Centurion handed him a slightly crumpled bit of paper.

In consideration of German war crimes on Columbian soil, the Senate of the Rodina has decided your cause is just, shock paratroopers have already been deployed to aid the defence of your nation. Another 500 000 men will be sent via ship to assist you in any way. We urge you to allow the Praetorians already deployed to have free reign over their actions against German aggression, and the Rodina also expressly apologizes for it's ill-placed support of the Nationalists in the unfortunate Civil War which has so recently plagued your fair nation.

The Enemy fighters, being picked off by Capilean AA trucks, shot missiles at the column, it was clear, they were heading toward Brownsvilles flanks, and they weren't built up defence wise yet.
In Brownsville, a limo, escorted by three black SUV's and a row of motorbikes departed, inside the Limo was Mary, leaving the town she annexed. It was simply too dangerous for her to continue staying in Brownsville. However, she left with some good news for Hrvatska' Parliament. Brownsville is nearly completely laced in mines, some have been set off as artillery from the Capileans showered the city, this means that when the Capileans do (and they will) over run Hrvatskan Defenses, we could blow most of the city, and say it was a "Capilean attempt at destabilizing the city to take it over"

At the front, the trenches were packed with dead Hrvatskan soldiers, there was still the screams of men being stabbed, and the shots of those who don't want to take it anymore. The Soldiers shown weakness, and ran from the flanks. Eventually, they got plucked dead by the Capileans.

All that was left, was the citizens waiting for a end, but at once, soundspeakers all over the city began sounding the words from Mary

Vizeadmiral Julian Schlager looked through the a pair of Macro-Binoculars situated at the Observation Area adjacent to the bridge of the Himmelreich at New York City in the distance. He knew they would most likely be evacuating it and that simply would not do. Of course, the Kaiser had given explicit orders the Geneva Convention was to be obeyed at all times during the German invasion of Columbia, so Schlager couldn't simply have the Battleships shell the city from the distance or have a missile strike launched. But, they did not know that.

He turned and walked back into the bridge and right over to the communications center. "Get me the Heinrichsdorf and the Isenberg. Tell them to shell Liberty Island." Said two ships were the fleet's two Bismarck II-Class Battleship's. The main batteries on this class of warship were four, two barreled, 15 inch guns capable of sending shells over 36,000 meters which was equivalent to over 25 Nautical Miles.

Mere moments later, Schlager heard thunder ring out as the two warships commenced firing on the famous Liberty Island in New York City. The targeting systems and automated gun control systems on these warships designed by KaizerTech International, were highly effective allowing for pinpoint accuracy and precision. And considering that Abwehr Surveillance Drone's were up in the sky across the Eastern Seaboard, Schlager could watch the results of this destructive volley.

He watched the monitor and a grin came to his features as the shells appeared striking Liberty Island and the Statue of Liberty. Lady Liberty's head was blown off its shoulders and sent into New York Harbor. With the destruction of this monument, they would know that the German Reich meant business. In fact, Schlager decided that the answer time would now be reduced to nothing and it was time to begin the invasion of New York. Within several hours or so, 240,000 highly trained and very well equipped German troops would be making landfall in the Big Apple.

Vizeadmiral Julian Schlager looked through the a pair of Macro-Binoculars situated at the Observation Area adjacent to the bridge of the Himmelreich at New York City in the distance. He knew they would most likely be evacuating it and that simply would not do. Of course, the Kaiser had given explicit orders the Geneva Convention was to be obeyed at all times during the German invasion of Columbia, so Schlager couldn't simply have the Battleships shell the city from the distance or have a missile strike launched. But, they did not know that.

He turned and walked back into the bridge and right over to the communications center. "Get me the Heinrichsdorf and the Isenberg. Tell them to shell Liberty Island." Said two ships were the fleet's two Bismarck II-Class Battleship's. The main batteries on this class of warship were four, two barreled, 15 inch guns capable of sending shells over 36,000 meters which was equivalent to over 25 Nautical Miles.

Mere moments later, Schlager heard thunder ring out as the two warships commenced firing on the famous Liberty Island in New York City. The targeting systems and automated gun control systems on these warships designed by KaizerTech International, were highly effective allowing for pinpoint accuracy and precision. And considering that Abwehr Surveillance Drone's were up in the sky across the Eastern Seaboard, Schlager could watch the results of this destructive volley.

He watched the monitor and a grin came to his features as the shells appeared striking Liberty Island and the Statue of Liberty. Lady Liberty's head was blown off its shoulders and sent into New York Harbor. With the destruction of this monument, they would know that the German Reich meant business. In fact, Schlager decided that the answer time would now be reduced to nothing and it was time to begin the invasion of New York. Within several hours or so, 240,000 highly trained and very well equipped German troops would be making landfall in the Big Apple.

"Was that all of them?" The Captain in charge of the Army detachment asked as the last truck left the city.
"Most likely unless there's stragglers that want to be Militia" the Policeman replied as he took out his .38 police special.
As they rushed toward the ports a large explosion threatened to give them a lose of hearing. They clutched their ears and winced at the pain that followed before looking around bewildered.
"What was that?"
The Captain rushed towards the port and saw a horrifying image: The Statue of Liberty was being shelled by the enemy's battleships.
"God save us all." The Captain muttered praying He'd help them in another dark hour for the land.
