Instead of providing covert support for WPT, why not just sabotage NPE in itself? Like the mainland or something like that? WPT is an enemy of UoAE....

And we hate the Vanquarians because of what they did in Mecca; killing unarmed medics is already bad enough, but profaning (burning, in this case) corpses is even worse by unionist standards (disrespecting the dead is a huge cultural berserk button for most unionist cultures, alongside betraying an ally unprovokedly or insulting one's honor, among others. There are also some more specific ones, but I'll leave it for a factbook).

We are neutral here, but should any of the aforementioned groups provoke our soldiers, things will get messy. Badly.

No, SONAR does not work against or for submarines located in the thermocline. Radar isn't used to detect submarines underwater and on submarines is used almost exclusively for navigation.
