Might be a stupid question, but does anyone know how to a) align an imgur image to the left (the default alignment is to the right of the page), and b) how to use links in their captions?

For links: does it not work the standard [[link]] template?

Anyone realize that the infobox for cartridges isn't displaying like half of the information put in?

It might be that the template we have is an older version than the example one you're filling out. I can import the most recent version from Wikipedia and see if that works if you give me a link to it on my talk page.

Hello, everyone,

Please chill with the image uploads, or I will have to disable them again. You may have noticed a correlation between uptime and the upload service being disabled. I will err on the side of site uptime if I have to choose.

Do not upload images that don't have to be. I and other users have noticed people uploading images of things that are freely available on commons. We've also noted people uploading masses of photos to maybe use in future articles. If you're not immediately putting it into an article, then wait to upload it, please. And favor Commons and Imgur over uploads.

Cutting down on image uploads helps everyone. Don't be selfish, or I'll have to take away your toys. And remember that site downtime means less ad revenue, which increases the site load on my wallet. And my wallet would rather I shut it down. I don't want to listen to my wallet, but there is a point at which its arguments ring true in my ears: "~~~~You could buy 3 new games on Steam a month, Santh~~~~", "~~~~You could take your fiance to an extra fancy dinner each month~~~~", etc.

I know there are people who don't monitor this thread, and don't pay attention to announcements on-site, so please also spread the word.

Likely not, as I can never guarantee receiving enough to pay for an upgraded server. Most crowd funding portals also require me to reveal a lot of personal information, or to be the actual creator rather than a host of creatives.

I will not be online until most likely the 11th. Please @Ghant or @Maltropia on the Discord if you need anything on-site. Please visit the IRC channel and ping Caphiria (Heku) if there's a problem with a server (i.e. site is down). You may also TG any of them for help with their respective roles.

I will NOT be in a position to help, even if I can pop by, so I'm hoping the community can manage itself with support from Ghant and Malt. Thank you!

I just wanted to clarify for all those who use this thread, that Maltropia and Caphiria are not present on the Discord channel, only the IRC IIwiki channel. Therefore, if anyone is on Discord and needs anything, please ping me as I will be the only IIwiki admin available while Santh is away.

My region, APSIA, has been shelling out a lot of articles on here lately. It's a great place to develop the lore of a region in a nice, readable format.

iiwiki webmaster here, letting the good people know that the website is down for the time being. being overwhelmed with a lot of traffic and we don't currently have a way to scale the platform to grow automatically with the traffic.

Thanks everyone for holding on there as we sort out our issues. We are going to upgrade our set-up to alleviate the issue; hopefully it won't take much longer.

In other news, I got the OP switched over to me and have updated it. I'll add in some FAQ stuff and other updates as things progress.

Hola! I have been off for about six months, since July, and have noticed all my image files, such as http://iiwiki.com/wiki/File:Brytenevalk.png are showing as blank! Is there any way to recover these?

The image database was dumped during a server transition back in April, which meant that all users lost all images at that time. This was intentional, to clear out the huge pile of old images from ex-players that were no longer being used but were still eating up space.

I don't know if anyone grabbed a complete copy of the server data before that point.

My garbage old notebook died and, whilst my new babies are all on the Cloud, there's dozens of ancient maps and images that I don't have a local copy of...i was probably taking up all the space

If I wanted to get a lot of pages deleted - I'm talking maybe 40-50 - what would be the best way to do that?

Basically I want to purge old canon. I could empty the pages and use redirect to send them all back to something else, but...

if anything is similar, i'd redirect, and then ask very nicely to santh or kyrusia to delete the rest, maybe.

A nonexpiring pastebin with all of the urls, or a google doc, or something like that linked here would be best.

Try clearing your cache and attempt to load it again.
