Well that's cool. Yeah, I suppose I do notice quite a bit of repetition and most is pretty weird looking but I can't do it at all, so it's better than mine.

As the self-appointed Minister of Information for IIWiki I can tell you that the servers are not down just as no American tanks made it into Baghdad. Furthermore, what you are seeing is a proper and amazing representation of the resistance of IIWiki to assaults from imperialist enemies.

IIWiki.com should now be up and running for use. There are some final settings to mess with, but those will happen. Right now, we don't have any repos setup - don't worry and do not upload Commons or Wikipedia images, or your imgur files. Repos will come soon.

IIWiki.us is also available to grab images from, and will remain up for at least a few days. If you upload anything to the .us site, you will lose it. I will not transfer anything from it.

Edit: Also, please spread the word. I suspect that at most 10% of the userbase actually reads this thread.

As I have said multiple times already: images are available on iiwiki.us for people to download and upload as needed to iiwiki.com. I am not transferring images myself to both save on time (I've spent 12+ hours on the migration as it is) and to get rid of images no one cares about.

Wikimedia Commons and Wikipedia are still available as image repos, so those should be fine. Imgur will be set back up soon.

All of the tags and code have been transferred. But for images previously hosted on IIWiki, they just display an "Error creating thumbnail: File missing".

So if you just upload the file again under the same name, it should display.

Alternatively, you could just link it using the imgur tags as has been outlined many times before. Works the same and doesn't clog the server.

Seriously think about why you think you need images even at 1MB. Are they being used on articles? Do they add value to the article? Will people other than you actually look at them full-sized?

Given the sheer volume of use on this site and the fact that it is FREE to NS players I honestly don't see anything unreasonable with a 1 MB file limit. There are plenty of free hosting sites out there on the web that will host larger files because that is what they are, repositories. It's not unreasonable at all for the larger files to go there. Just think people, the more you host OFF SITE the more we can get ON SITE. It's definitely a group effort in courtesy here that will keep IIWiki around a long time.
