Somehow a 504 Gateway Time-Out occurs every time I submit an edit. Is it me or is it the website?

Might be a poor internet connection or perhaps a really large page is causing a problem. Could you link me a page you tried to edit that resulted in an error because it worked fine for me.

I edited articles not just from my computer, but from other laptops in other locations. That being said, I highly doubt this has anything to do with poor internet connection.

Sometimes when I submit an edit to a page, it takes a long time to load, and then a 504 Gateway Time-Out occurs. Minutes later, I reload the page and everything returns to normal. This hasn't happened once - in almost every article I edited since a few days ago I've encountered this problem.

Question on the bullet points in the infoboxes. This one below is from the ship one as found on this page.



If you notice the ones highlighted first are large and blue and indented whereas the ones below it and downward are black and smaller. I don't know of anything I did differently on the way the text was entered as to why these should be different. Is this something hard coded to the infobox itself?

I would like to say that I experienced the same issues that Namor had - in the instances that I submit an edit for an article (any article that I edit), a temporary 504 Gateway Time-Out occurs. The changes however seemed to be successfully submitted.

Some additional info: my Internet connection is fine and I frequently edit IIwiki articles from a single location.

Solm I can shed some light on this. In the midst of editing I received a 504 Bad Gateway. It's back up (downtime < 2 minutes) and the Commons images aren't displaying (while IIWiki images are). I wonder if there's some sort of link between the two?

Edit: Just dumped again after I modified one subsection. Here's to hoping I'm not decimating IIWiki today.

I am also having the same problem as Namor and Pavonistade. After editing a page, I recieve a 504 Gateway Error and IIwiki goes down for a minute or two, but when it comes back online the changes are successfully saved.

Same (glad I'm not the one causing it). It seems the longer the edit, the longer the wiki is down.

Yeah, I am looking into this. Seems very weird since the edit is saved. If the edit wasn't saved, the cause would be much easier to narrow down, but something appears to be holding down the wiki despite the wiki still doing what it needs to do on the backend. I'll let you all know when it's fixed.

I noticed that there are currently no infobox templates for cities, alliances, regions, or for that matter nations like there were on the NSwiki. I also noticed that the infobox links on NSwiki are not there (I get a 404 warning message). Was either of these an oversight that hasn't been brought to your attention yet? Will there be infobox templates for alliances, regions, nations, cities, etc. on the IIwiki site?

I ask because I'd like to create an article about my nation in the IIwiki site, but have been unable to do so because of the lack of infobox templates.

What? Did you even try to look? Those templates exist, at the very least for nations, cities, and alliances. And even for planets.

As others have indicated (and linked), all of these are provided. If you have any questions about templates in the future or would like a template we do not currently have imported, you're more likely to get a timely response by contacting an IIwiki Administrator directly through their appropriate discussion ("talk") page.

No one reads the standards! Anyways, I pulled over the Template:Infobox bicycle race, Template:Motorsport venue, and Template:motorsport championship in the past few days.

They all work independently but you might check them out. Sorry if this causes you inconvenience, wasn't aware there was protocol to follow and I'm not OOC friends with you guys like I was with the admins in the wikistates days (which made it a lot easier to get temps ported) so I figured I'd just transfer them over myself.

Wasn't trying to stir up trouble and I apologize if I have inadvertently done so.
