Let's hope this gets fixed, or people are going to start uploading Wikicommons images onto IIwiki.

People were doing that before that notice was put into place.

ETA before Wikicommons images get restored? Or will IIwiki need to start resorting to hosting all their images?

All fixed now! Everything is back to normal!

Mediawiki implemented a change in their HTTPS protocol on their server side and IIwiki had to change their settings to accommodate. Everything should work now snazzy. Let me know if things aren't.

Thanks,

Solm

For some reason the site keeps hiccuping. Sometimes its me, sometimes the site actually goes down, but in either case not for more than an hour or so. Not a huge problem just thought you chaps should be aware in case its a symptom of something worse.

Thanks! This shouldn't be happening. I'll take a look at the logs and try to diagnose the issue.

The wiki is down. I repeat: the wiki is down.

It has been on and off for me for the past couple of days and even when it has been up, my latest version of Firefox on Windows 7 has not exactly loaded it quickly. Is the wiki running out of server space again?

Hippo, can you please stop making pages that take up too much bloody space on the Wiki?

When it is up, I am going to request that the Gallery of Esquarian football uniforms be taken down, because at this rate, it will be like the road signs in Esquarium page: a DDoS attack in the making.

I can confirm that IIwiki is down for me (and others obviously).

Wiki is back online. The issue was caused by a page load awhile back that caused a php script to act abnormal which crashed the wiki. Restarting the server fixed the issue. I'll look into ensuring things like this don't happen again when I have some more free time later this week.

Alright, thanks for the fix!

I keep getting a warning saying "This page contains too many expensive parser function calls. It should have less than 100 calls, there are now 117 calls" when I try to edit this page. It also seems that the final kits are not loading properly, is there a way to fix this? Seems to be a serverside issue.

Seems to be a mediawiki hard limit coded into the wiki to not allow the page to garner too many expensive (in terms of computation) templates/calls which would slow down the rest of the wiki. I'll look into the issue. I was not even able to complete an edit of the page, so I locked it for now to disable edits which might cause the wiki to break. I'll let you know when I fix it.

Trying to get a map in this infobox, but the coordinates look like they're pretty fucked up. Anyone have an idea whats wrong? Or should I just remove the map entirely?

Template:fb and Template:fb-rt are horribly unpredictable about when they want to work and when they don’t, as evidenced here. The template will often show a flag icon and a string such as “[[Vyvland {{{altlink}}}|Vyvland]]” or a link to a nonsensical page like “Ainin national football teama”, instead of the flag icon and link to the actual national team article as it is supposed to. This only happens with some nations, but is not related to whether the team has a page or not, as the template works for both Michillies (which has a page for its national team) and Vjaarland (which does not), but not for Vyvland (whose national team does have a page).

This is an old problem that I have asked about a number of times before, but I’ve never gotten a response as to what’s wrong. I’ve been trying to work around the problem for months, but it would be nice to get the Fb and Fb-rt templates fixed so that that becomes unnecessary.

GAhdabkshdbaksdhb. My incremental server upgrade last time seems to have hit its limit once again. I've applied a temporary fix. I'll need to conduct a server upgrade soon.

Hmm… Are you updating it right now maybe? :p
nvm, it’s up now

On a different note, thank you for trying to fix the problem with Fb and Fb-rt, but I don’t seem to be getting any resolution from it. I’ll try to find a way to live without the templates. I appreciate the effort though.
