It's hacky, but you can surround it with <center> tags.

Won't work if the Imgur image in question is in thumbnail mode.

It's attack of the 500 Internal Server Error time again. I have currently tried the following solutions:

Refreshing the Page
Trying a Different Browser
Clearing out my caches on all browsers and trying again
Changing my connection and repeating the above steps
Disconnecting and Connecting to a VPN and trying the above steps
Changing devices and trying the above steps.

At this point I have no bloody idea what the hell is going on and its getting irritating. If its something on my end, I need to know what the hell is going on so I can fix it. Otherwise, unfortunately, the generic as fuck 500 issue code gives me precisely fuck all to work with.

Not very. If you're waiting to move stuff, don't; I have no way to guarantee how long the old site will be up.

Paste the titles of each page you want to save here: http://iiwiki.com/wiki/Special:Export

You can then export all of them into a single XML file that can be uploaded to the new site. Make sure not to include the templates. And do note that this does not save any images, you'll have to manually save and re-upload those to the new host.

If you've tagged all your pages to your watchlist you can easily copy a list right from the "Edit raw watchlist" feature. But don't bother with the image pages for any images you've uploaded.

I see from the Discord that you found out how to have files imported, but for others' reference I'll outline the process.

The Akasha Colony has already explained how to export the XML file. That'll be saved locally on your hard drive. You will then have to send the file to IIwiki staff, because imports are not open to the general public (for a number of reasons; e.g. we don't want people importing page-/site-breaking templates). You can do this by uploading the file directly on our Discord server, in the #requests channel, following the instructions there. An admin will then import the file.

If you've not already registered on the site you can do so now; and if you want your articles to be imported and attached to your username you should register before having them imported, using the same name: unless you plan to use a different username, because usernames cannot be changed. e.g. if you were Maltropia on IIwiki.com you would register as Maltropia on IIwiki.us, unless you plan to abandon Maltropia and switch to Amalfi, in which case just register as Amalfi.

I really home someone archives the images before the original site goes down—I hate to imagine how many beautiful flags, pieces of line art equipment, maps, and whatnot will be lost if they don't.

I should clarify on why some of the images appear corrupted in the snapshot: if I recall my discussion with Santh correctly, image deletions were done directly via the server, instead of the wiki interface.

The method does not delete the entry for the file from the wiki database, and therefore causes the current (and outgoing) iteration of the wiki to try and retrieve the image, even though the original no longer exists.

Therefore the files that appear corrupted are in fact copies of the 404 error message, generated when the wiki tried to retrieve the image that in reality no longer existed on the server.

The discrepancy is mainly why NSindex only deletes images via the interface, in addition to running maintenance scripts. However, if I recall correctly, the old server has no SSH access.

Could you clarify what you mean by this? I'll try to answer any questions you may have about the re-launch.

Also, you are correct that the old server has no SSH access, which is a huge reason why we moved over to something with more control (along with the stability issues). The new server gives us much more opportunity to do maintenance and upgrades.

IIWiki.us is officially launched and people should move their things over ASAP. Instructions on how to export a large amount of articles can be found here. A small amount of articles can be copy-pasted over manually, the mass-export just makes it more convenient for a lot of articles.

This is something we've discussed, but it may not be possible for us given the limitation that we can't access IIWiki.com's LocalSettings.php. This is one of the reasons we switched servers, but unfortunately may mean we can't lockdown the old server before it closes.

This is something we've discussed, but it may not be possible for us given the limitation that we can't access IIWiki.com's LocalSettings.php. This is one of the reasons we switched servers, but unfortunately may mean we can't lockdown the old server before it closes..

It would be nice if the IIWiki was able to put up the old wikipedia-based skin because my pages look pretty ugly in comparison to how they used to in the old wiki and i feel that the new skin is too cluttered as it's unnecessarily larger and it looks like the contrast was turned up.

Also i think that the old wiki should be up for a bit longer to find away to port over older articles that weren't archived on the wayback machine, i don't think it's right if this data is just simply lost.

We'll consider the skin update.

Keeping both sites up nearly doubled costs, so you will excuse me if I prioritize affordability for myself over data recovery in the long term. There was plenty of time to migrate what was needed/wanted.
